The room is spacious and is equipped with kind size bed along with LCD TV which have plenty of watchable channels from Malaysia and Singapore. There is also a mini fridge inside the room and water boiler; there is no iron available in the room, it is probably available upon request. There are also plenty of power plug in the room which makes it easier to charge all my electronic devices at once.

The room and the toilet are both clean. The environment of the hotel is also clean and refreshing; you’ll enjoy a nice view of the straits of Johor from your window. Bathroom is equipped with hot shower which has decent water pressure and hot water is also available at the bathroom sink.

Free WIFI is also available and is very fast; the first two images below are from using the hotel’s WIFI whereas the third image is the result using my Unifi Mobile LTE. This is considered as very fast for Malaysian standard.

There is also a seafood restaurant which is connected to the hotel. I didn’t try the restaurant as I decided to walk for less than 1km to a nearby food court to enjoy Malay’s food. There were shops available and most of them are selling seafood. I bought a fried rice along with apple juice from shop lot no.10, unfortunately I have to recommend you guys to try a different shop lot. The fried rice tasted below average and the apple juice tasted like plain iced water; they cost RM10 which makes it even not worthy. Take note that there is no convenience store nearby so you might want to buy stuff you need beforehand.

Lastly, I mentioned that my stay here is inclusive of breakfast. Unfortunately their breakfast is somewhat disappointing. There were probably not many guest during my stay so they only served fried bihun, toasted bread and cereals along with watermelon; there is not much choice and the amount of food served on the buffet table made me hesitate to take a decent portion as there were too little. Apart from the disappointing breakfast, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

For this deal, buying hotel voucher using Traveloka mobile app will save you over 10% if compared to buying the voucher from the browser. But I’ve also seen cheaper rate from other application for this hotel so don’t forget to compare with other competitor as well.

Grand Puteri Hotel, Kuala Terengganu

There is no price difference booking from the browser or from the app, seems like the pricing for this hotel is fixed as competitors website are mostly showing the exact same rate.

Hotel Seri Malaysia, Kuala Terengganu

You’ll save over 20% booking using Traveloka mobile app compared to the browser version and based on my finding, traveloka app has the cheapest price if compared to the other sites but don’t skip searching because you’ll never know if there is any promotion on going.

Hotel Grand Continental, Kuantan

Lastly, a 5% save for buying hotel voucher using the app. As usual, if you’re buying hotel voucher, it doesn’t hurt to compare the price with other competitor.

Based on my searches above, it is always good to buy hotel vouchers from traveloka using their app instead of buying using the browser version as you either get the same price or you’ll get to save up to 20%.

Here is a fix to the problem and it is really simply to be applied;

CloudLinux 6

yum update ea-libcurl

CloudLinux 7

yum update libnghttp2-devel

My WHMCS website were down for almost 2 days because of this bug. I had to downgrade my PHP to 5.6 for a temporary solution before CloudLinux actually released a fix. I hope everyone else are not having the same problem as I did.

So, I bought a voucher from Traveloka for my 2 nights stay in Felda Residence Kuala Terengganu. For the first night, I was staying alone so I bought a room only voucher for RM87.75 whereas my second night cost me RM108.75 which comes with free breakfast for 2 pax.

The room also have free wifi; here is the link to my speedtest result or you may refer to the screenshot below. It is acceptable speed considering Unifi (Malaysian highspeed broadband package by TM) is not available in Kuala Terengganu yet.

The toilet is clean and we never ran out of hot water. I think the hotel has been around for quite some time, their stuff are a bit old. For example, this is the first in years that I found a hotel room using a bulky Television set instead of LCD TV, you get the idea right?

The original price for the room is over RM150 per night yet I booked the room using Traveloka for with over 40% off so they gave me a room which is facing the city instead of the river.

There are plenty of car parks available around the hotel too but they are open car park so if there is an event nearby, it may be quite hard to get a parking space. Did I mention the hotel has a nice river view?

Bad Experience

Unfortunately, there are things that I am not satisfied with the hotel, it is smelly. The moment I exited the lift, there exist noticeable musty smell and it is also noticeable inside our hotel room but it is not as strong.

Next would be the air conditioner, I don’t think the temperature controller works. The room is extremely cold that I had to turn off the A/C once in a while to keep the room to an acceptable temperature.

Apart from the smell and the freezing A/C, I don’t think there is anything else that I am not satisfied with the hotel. It was Ramadhan so I didn’t really go through all the accommodations available in the hotel. I am not even sure if the hotel has a swimming pool and a gym as most of my time were spent inside the room doing my work and sleeping.

Once you’re logged in to your Bank Islam Internet Banking account, hover your mouse to “Settings” and click “Transaction Limit Maintenance”.

You may then set a new transaction limit for third party transfer, interbank IBG and instant interbank transfer, bills payment, prepaid reload as well as FPX payment in a single window. Once you’ve set your new limit, click “Change”.

You’ll be asked to confirm your new limit with i-Access code. Once you get the code to your device, click “Confirm”.

If your setting is accepted, you will get a confirmation window as below.

Once you’re logged in to iRakyat, hover to “My Profile” and click on Daily Limits Maintenance.

You may now set a new limit for multiple transaction type such as third party transfer, interbank giro transfer, jomPAY and even for Tabung Haji transfer. Once you’ve set your new limit, click on “Request TAC”, fill in the number delivered to your phone and click “Submit”.

You’ll get something like the following image if your new limit has been confirmed.

Previously, I posted about how to change Maybank2u transaction limit. In this post, it is going to be for CIMBClicks and it is slightly easier.

Of course, you need to be logged in to your CIMBClicks account. Once you’re in, hover your mouse to “Settings” and click on “Clicks Transaction Limit”.

You can then set multiple type of transaction limit which there are too many plus I am kinda lazy to list them all here. I think all the limits that you are able to set is all gathered here in this page. Once you’ve set the limit you want, request for TAC and click “Update”.

If your changes are successful, you will get a message like below.

Once you’re logged in to your m2u account, click on “Accounts & Banking”. Then from the left panel, click “Transfers”.

Scroll down a little bit and you’ll find “Transaction Limit Maintenance”, click it to proceed.

Now, you’re able to change your transaction limit for 3rd Party Transfer, Interbank GIRO Transfer, Instant Interbank Transfer or Foreign Telegraphic Transfer. If you need to change multiple type of transaction, you need to do it one by one.

Simply click on one of the radio button and then choose a new limit from the drop down. Click “Continue” to proceed.

You’ll be asked to confirm your new limit, if you’re increasing the limit, you need to “Request for TAC” whereas if you’re decreasing your limit, you can simply click the confirm button to proceed.

If everything goes well, you should get a confirmation status of your new transaction limit.
