You’re not going to want to share your single-serve cup so instead, share one of these clever eCards with a selection of humorous phrases you can pick from and customize. This clever phrase even had me singing in my head, “I would do anything for love. But I won’t do that. Until after I’ve had my coffee, that is.”

Gevalia Single-Serve cups are available at Walmart at their everyday low price and value but now you can save even more with an exclusive coupon! They are also offering a free sample as well to try out the single-serve cups first hand! Head over to Gevalia now to learn more, grab your sample and coupon, and get started creating your own eCard!

I love things that multitask and take care of two problems as once. That’s just what Honeywell’s latest tower fan can do! Now, you can cool off your home while also keeping your home smelling fresh with a Honeywell Febreze Freshness Cool & Refresh Tower Fans! It takes the power of a Honeywell Fan that cycles the air throughout your home and adds in a Febreze Set&Refresh scent cartridge that adds a dose of fresh scent to your cooled air as it cycles through your home. You can easily control how much scent you want with a scent control dial.

I had a chance to check out both the compact and full tower fans with the new Febreze Freshness feature! These fans operate really quite and do a great job at cooling off a room. I love the add-in feature to freshen my room and have the compact tower fan set up in our kitchen to help with cooking smells that also helps to keep us cool while working at the stove or when the oven is on. They’ve been working really great and we have really enjoyed our fresher smelling home!

This is a fun and easy craft that is inexpensive to make, too. I’m excited to show you how to make a sponge water bomb that will be perfect for taking along to play pool games for kids or start a backyard water fight! Either way, they’ll be fun for helping your kiddos to stay cool this summer!

How to Make a Water Bomb!

Mini Water Bomb

What You’ll Need:

2 sponges

Rubberband or Clear Elastic hair tie

Scissors

Will make (1) Mega Water Bomb or (2) Mini Water Bombs.

Water Bomb Directions:

Cut both sponges into thirds “hot dog” style making long skinny strips to create a Mega Water Bomb. For a mini water bomb, cut on the other side of the sponge cutting 1/2″ strips to create 7-8 sticks per sponge.

Stack your strips (use half of the strips per bomb if making mini water bombs) and then tie a rubberband around the center of your sponge strips. Wrap it a few times as needed so that it is tight and secure.

Spread apart the sponge ends to create your water bomb.

Mega Water Bomb

Mega and Mini Water Bombs!

Mega Water Bombs are about 4″ while the mini water bombs are about 2.5″. Both sizes work great and size preference really just depends on the age of your children and preference. Smaller ones won’t be so heavy and will be easier for little kids to handle. See how the sizes compare:

Then, just take your water bomb out to the backyard with a pail of water and start your own water fight without the waste and time needed to fill up water balloons! Plus, since sponges absorb water they make a great water fight tool!

Milkshakes are a super quick and easy and really yummy treat that can help you stay cool this summer. They take just three ingredients and you can customize your creation to be just as fruity or more creamy tasting depending on your personal tastes and ingredient ratios. I’ll share our basic recipe, but really you simply throw in a bit of this, a bit of that, with no real measuring required.

Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

To make a strawberry milkshake, scoop three large scoops of ice cream, a cup of milk, and six strawberries with their leaves removed into your blender. If you have a picky blender, make sure you put liquids first, solids second, and any frozen ingredients last. Our blender is really powerful so we throw them into the blender in whatever order. If your blender is at all struggling to blend it simply means you need a bit more liquid to get all the ingredients moving. Blend until smooth and enjoy! This will make two tall glass servings.

Banana Milkshake Recipe

Making banana milkshakes are almost identical to the strawberry milkshake recipe above. Simply swap out the strawberry add-in with a whole banana and don’t forget your ice cream and milk and blend! The blender full above we only were making a single serving but still used the whole banana so the second half didn’t go to waste. No worries, though, it will just give you a bit stronger banana flavor. The best bananas to use are yellow bananas with some freckle spots as those are perfectly ripe bananas.

This year was my son’s first year in school. After driving him into school every day now for 160 days of school and staring at the backs of so many cars as I wait in the endless queue for the school drop off I’m always stuck staring at whatever family decals, political bummer, or business decals on the car in front of me. It’s made me realize how simple it is to use your car and the time spent on the road for your daily errands and tasks to be a means of advertising your business.

I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with Signs.com who know all about creating branding and a variety of signs to help me turn my design into a reality. I sent over my design and we discussed the colors, how to add the white overlay letters, and sizing until they understood just what I was looking for. My design shipped very quickly and as soon as it arrive I grabbed a wash cloth and some soap to clean the window of any dust and apply the decal. Look how awesome the decal turned out!

The car decal was easy to apply and even though I am no expert and there are several small air bubbles along the design, it looks completely flawless from a few feet back. I’m really pleased with how awesome my design turned out! It looks great and isn’t distracting for me to see out of my window at all since I placed the decal in the lower left corner. Even though my design is large at 30″ wide it isn’t obtrusive.

Signs.com can help you put whatever type of sign you have in mind into print. They create banners, yard signs, car decals, magnets, wall decals and more. Their service is perfect to help you get your brand, messaging, or promotion seen. As every year of my life passes, I realize more and more how quickly time goes by. In the past two years we have worked extremely hard as a family to work our way completely out of debt with the exception of our mortgage and we are now working hard towards building our investments, savings, and being more financially prepared overall. Long term care insurance is one of the aspects of a well-balanced financial plan that we know we should get when we are a bit older but we hadn’t spent a lot of time really thinking about it and all the ways long term care will affect our family.

I read this article by Wife.org called “Long-Term Care is a Woman’s Issue“. In this article they explain why it really matters that we not only think about but put into action a plan for our future and help our elderly parents or grown adult children understand the importance as well. Both of our parents are in their late 40′s to early 50′s and right at the time when they should be thinking and planning for their own long term care. It was interesting to read some of the statistics in the article stating that Census projections estimate that 1 in 5 adults will be a senior citizen by the year 2030. What’s more, over half of the US workforce are left with the care of an elderly parent. These stats made me really realize how I need to be thinking no only of our own long term care plan but also having the conversation with our parents and helping them to plan for their care as well.

If we are careful and plan for our futures we can help prevent the financial burden that can come with needing to support the care of an elderly parent or for our own care. You can find out more about what Long Term Care insurance can help you cover, what coverage you might need, and how to start planning for your own care with Genworth Financial.

What steps have you taken to prepare for your own long term care?

As much as I love games it can be really hard to find games that I want to play with my kids that we can both enjoy. With a slew of little boys and my own obsession with games, I have introduced tons of different games to my kids. My boys favorites are always funny games for kids and I love listening to them bust up while they play! Here are some of the games they love:

Five Funny Games for Kids!

Yahtzee – We have to help our youngest kids play but even our 2 year old loves to roll the dice and try for a Yahtzee. They absolutely love to shout out Yahtzee and we even have a little dance we’ve come up with we’ve termed the “Yahtzee Dance”!

Uno – This is another game that is easy to get everyone involved. There are always fits of laughter as they skip someone else or end up making them draw a ton of cards trying to get a match.

Monster Factory – This is a tile laying game where you try to build your monster adding zany body or arm pieces and complete your unique monster leaving no open ends. The tiles are all hilarious and we all end up laughing about the crazy different monsters we end up with during the game. My two year old is a bit young to play Monster Factory by the rules but he still plays along and we let him put his pieces wherever he wants.

Hide and Seek – Everyone loves to play hide and seek and my boys always giggle when they are found. Often, they’ll even hide in the same handful of hiding spots over and over but they still love to play together. This is another great game perfect for all ages.

Peaceable Kingdom Games – We are huge fans of the cooperative games by Peaceable Kingdom that let all the players work together to beat the board. This makes it really fun for everyone since they work together and win together. Since we loved both of the previous two Peaceable Kingdom games we have had the chance to review we were thrilled to partner again and try two of their other games!

Stone Soup takes what you love from a traditional matching game and makes it cooperative rather than competitive. As a team, all players work together to “beat” the board by finding all the matches before the fire fills up and “burns” the stew. It’s a cute game with very vibrant pictures. It’s nearly impossible to lose since there is a magic stone that can be used to remove one of the fire pieces at any time so unless that was the last piece drawn, you’ll always win. Still, it is cute and clever and was really fun to play as a team rather than compete.

In Seeds for Birds you work together filling over one of the outside ring of tiles and follow one of three simple actions: place down seeds, collect seeds for the birds, or collect seeds for the squirrels. The goal is to collect more seeds for the birds than for the sneaky squirrel who is trying to snatch up the seeds. This game needs some adult assistance helping my tots to remember the rules and what to do for each of the types of cards. They really loved picking where to place the seeds and following down the different rows to collect the seeds throughout the game. This is a really cute game and it can be a challenge to beat the board as it is all based on luck and placement of the seeds throughout the game.

Have you ever been judged as a mom? I’m sure we all have! Pretty Wicked Moms is a new Lifetime Show that takes a peek into the lives of beautiful, rich, and often mean mothers and shows first hand how often we mothers not only feel judged but make judgements as well. One of the Pretty Wicked Moms on the first episode makes a reference to “Mommy Wars” and it really is true. So often, we women compare ourselves with what is going on around us and think we aren’t good enough if we don’t do all the things everyone else might be doing.

I often feel this pressure to compete as well feeling that if I don’t give my children enough vacations, opportunities, extra curricular activities, the coolest clothes, if they aren’t the best behaved or on and on that somehow I’m not doing enough as a mother. This past weekend we traveled to New York and I had to try to juggle four little boys ages 6 and under on a five hour flight. In my eyes, my boys really did an exceptionally great job behaving as they spent over 10 hours total between the airport and on the plane with an hour and a half delay. It was hard for them to be in such a different environment where they could get drinks, snacks, go to the bathroom, play with all their toys, or have the freedom to roam like they have at home for such a long time.

While waiting in the airport there were several mid-life women around our family. It was interesting to me to see how differently each woman would respond to the same situation. One mom glared at us for any peep, another played and laughed with the kids, another walked off muttering “I just can’t take this anymore!!” as she passed us and others around constantly had their eyes on us watching every move. I felt judged that maybe my kids who were doing really, really great from my experience weren’t be quiet enough or sitting still as the onlookers might assume they should.

What experiences have you had where you felt judged by those around you?

Tune in to watch parenting like you’ve never seen before with the first episode of Pretty Wicked Moms on Tuesday, June 4, at 10:00 pm ET/PT on Lifetime
