We’ve recently been trying a new style of content for AMPISOUND. In this series, Scott breaks down and exposes various viral parkour clips. In the first episode, Scott analyses a beauty box commercial that has some of the most questionable parkour stunt work ever seen!

In the second episode, Scott educates the audience on how easy it is to make fake videos of somersaults over cars, and the Ampisound team recreate their own to show you how easy it is to do.

In the third episode of the series, Scott looks at a front flip in the Moscow Subway, and also shows how Storror fooled everyone into thinking they beat the london tube in a footrace.

Explore the rooftops of Rio in this parkour POV shot in the most cultural city of Brazil! We teamed up with Picasso Parkour to capture the beautiful locations and parkour movements during their run from the beach to the two brothers mountain in Rio. It was awesome to see Brazilian culture and the City of Rio de Janeiro expressed through parkour, with their route taking them from Ipanema beach, to Escadaria Selaron, the Favelas and more!

Training through Texas in this Parkour POV! The boys from the Unknown Project visited Houston for a weekend in January and filmed this little mini POV video. Parkour has many elements and all of the movements have to first be trained at ground level, thousands of times, to develop a professional skill level. Some of the lines in this POV are beautifully technical! This is a test, we want to try releasing more frequent projects and as a result the movement and content of the videos will have to change slightly. It is difficult to frequently upload when most videos take two months to make, so by creating a video in just a few days we hope to be able to put put out more content!

We have wanted to collab on a Parkour video with Charlie for a long time, and finally we got together to shoot in Cardiff. Gym parkour videos are not the most exciting but Charlie had a lot of sick lines planned out and we filmed a lot of them, with the concept of a black and white video. On the second day, he injured his ankle and wouldn’t be able to finish the video. Luckily for us, Phil Doyle was in the building…

We’ve been keeping track of 360 camera tech for a while now, and due to our relationship with GoPro and our new friends at Wiral, we were hooked up with some new kit and wanted to make a video with it.

We had already been planning to make a project to unveil the new Ampisound team, a group of athletes that have been close to Ampisound for years and now represent the brand officially. To serve this goal, the new team put together a concept video using all 360 footage.

The key thing about shooting Parkour is getting the sense of motion both with the camera and the movement, and using a 360 camera allows really dynamic, close-up, camera moves to be achievable through the use of selfie sticks, wire cam systems and reframing in post. The editing and keyframing for this project took a long time, but the shots made it worth it.
