ALBUM REVIEWS: Winner's Circle - Nuketown Vol. 1 (Music Review+Mixtape Download)

2017-03-16T11:26:00.001-04:00

#AMPtv got the word that, during a time period where the compilation is king, a new one has appeared on the scene from Inkster rap camp "Winner's Circle." The project is called "Nuketown Vol.1"

It opens with the 808 thumping "Lord Have Mercy" featuring Sam and Bully Hendrix. While one rapper clearly outshines the other, the track sets a perfect tone for the project as it asks "Even though I see em livin like they Satan/ Lord have mercy on these rap niggas." Jai Mck follows up the introduction with "Runnin" filled with hunger and ambition. While the hook is very catchy, the verse only seem to have a few moments."Do It Right" with Sam and Hendrix continues the quest for the paper with it's Kill Bill alarm and auto tune powered vocals. While it isn't our favorite track, it certainly has single potential.

Sam finally has a moment to shine with his Detroit-sound style beat for "Talk My Shit." Proving to be one of the harder and better mixed tracks on the project, he quickly gets to the point in the 1 minute and 33 second cut with a memorable verse and chorus. Sam comes back with another solo on "Show You Something" which is a sex filled night complete with female emcee Lil Tugi, who ends the track with an explosive verse stealing the show.

Check out new J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

Bully Hendrix slides in with a solo joint titled "Glory" where he spits his pain over a hardcore sampled beat. The song tends to stand out from the others as the pain in the beat grabs your eat and his words make you listen again. The crew cut and first single "Work" brings back the auto tune and continues the stream of hard hitting beats. While we feel like it should've been earlier on the project it will most definitly get it popping in the strip clubs.

With a great beat selection and a few catchy hooks, "Nuketown Vol.1" is a good project. However, it will hardly snatch listeners away from their busy day searching for the newest Future mixtape. The hooks are lackluster and verses tend to sound like they're being read from a page than recited from the heart. It has more bad moments than good but it has a few singles that will really help them push the project in the right direction. We give it a 2 out of 5. Check it out for yourself below:

7 Weird (But Legal) Ways To Make $10,000 (Article)

2016-11-15T14:33:00.002-05:00

#AMPtv got the word on how you can make up to $10,000 doing some very odd (but legal) things. Check out our list of 7 things you can do for 10K below.

Check out the new J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

1. Start a Cricket Farm

Not afraid of insects are you ? Well you could give cricket farming a try. No, just follow me here for a minute.

It’s a fairly easy hustle to begin, and there’s more demand for them than you actually might think.

Starting materials you need are a fish tank, some egg cartons and dirt to get your habitat set up, and once you begin to breed them, they can sell for up to $12 for 250. Thing about it is, the females lay five to 10 eggs EVERYDAY.
Check out our full-blown guide to cricket farming to get started. Reptile owners have to feed their pets somehow, if the business falls through, however, you’ve got a home-grown source of protein for yourself !

You said insects don't freak you out, soooooo.......
How many crickets you’d have to sell: 208,333 1/3 crickets. Wonder which third of the last one you’ll get…

2. Watch Youtube-Like Videos

The good people over at Swagbucks will pay you to actually watch videos!
Now, most of them aren’t as entertaining as your favorite cat videos that we so adore here at #AMPtv, but you’re getting paid.....so SCREW IT !

This works because each video has a sponsor by brands that really could use the promo.

Every time you watch one of their ads, they’ll credit your account with cash. Here’s a link to sign up.

They give you 5 bucks just to sign up.

How many Swagbucks videos you’d have to watch: Most videos are worth between 1 and 3 SBs to watch. After your $5 signup bonus, you’d need to watch 499,750 videos to reach $10,000!

3. Test Websites Drunk

If you like getting hammered and surfing the net why not get paid for it ?

You could try the Richard Littauer approach and charge websites to browse their sites after a few shots.

Why ?

Well, you would be test how navigable a website is while you’re drunk to give the creator valuable information about how to make the interface more simple and the experience more user-friendly.
The idea is websites should be easy enough to navigate, that someone should be able to use it while their a little tipsy.

Littauer’s a, what you might call a professional web-surfer. So your mileage in this business may vary… but you have to admit, it'll be a nice gig to have, right ?

How many beers you’d have to drink: To make $10,000, you’d have to test 200 websites at Littauer’s original price of $50. If it takes you three beers to work up a sufficient buzz, that’s 600 beers!

4. Tell Companies How You Really Feel About Their Products

If filling out surveys is an ideal job for you, you could reap rewards for your efforts. Not to mention you get a chance to make a difference when it comes to big decisions on products in varying markets. It’s like writing a Yelp review… that might win you a a trip to Turks and Caicos.

Vip Voice & Ipsos Panel are two companies who provide these types of opportunities. So if you’re just hanging out in front of Netflix all day, hey….why not?

How many opinions you’d have to share: If you only made $1 per survey — a lowball estimate — you’d have to tell 10,000 companies how you feel about their goods!

5. Earn Cash for Searching the Web

I love this one, because you just set it and forget it.
I bet you didn't you know that InboxDollars (powered by Yahoo!) pays you for making searches on your computer or phone? You just have to sign up for InboxDollars, which is free and takes 30 seconds.

How many searches you’d have to do: If you get one credit per search, that’s 10,000,000 searches! Better get curious…

6. Drive for Uber

If you enjoy finding the best route across town and tranquility on the open road, this is a great way to make money at the same damn time !

As an Uber contractor, you’re responsible for setting your schedule and motivating yourself to work — no one is keeping tabs on you. You keep 80% of everything you earn as a driver (Uber keeps 20%).

Here’s a link to apply with Uber.

How many Uber rides you’d have to give: This Uber driver says a 30-minute ride nets him about $11.14. Although this number will vary based on surge pricing and geography, at this rate you’d need to give 898 half-hour rides and spend a total of 1,796 hours driving!

To put that into perspective, there are about 2,000 working hours in a calendar year if you account for two weeks of time off.

7. Share Stories About Your Kids on Scary Mommy

If you're a mother, you’ve got automatic story generators.

Everything from pregnancy fashion choices to dealing with finding your tween daughter’s dating profile, there is so much you can say about parenthood. And on Scary Mommy, it’s “real talk” only.
As long as you are a decent writer, you can generate some money off those daily adventures of "Mom" . Here are eight parenting magazines and blogs that pay contributors, averaging about $100 per submission.

How many stories you’d have to share: 100. Good thing your kid’s full of antics — and young…

Kanye West Confirms Runnng For President in 2020 ? (Article)

2016-11-15T13:57:00.000-05:00

#AMPtv got the word that Yeezy is officially running for president in 2020.

Check out the new J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

Kanye West recently did an interview with BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac slated to release later this week where the rap star confirmed running against Donald Trump for President in 2020.

During the interview, Kanye spoke on the subject after thousands of his fans blew up his social media accounts after Trumps win as President-Elect, begging him to run against the "Apprentice" star. Ye' spoke on the type of campaign he would run and it didn't sound too far off from the current President of the United States, in terms of experience.

"When I talk about the idea of being president, I'm not saying I have any political views. I don't have views on politics, I just have views on humanity, on people, on the truth," Yeezy told Annie Mac. "If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I'm alive I'm going to try to do it." The full interview releases this coming Monday.

Is Lil Wayne Signed To Roc Nation ? (Article)

2016-11-15T13:44:00.000-05:00

#AMPtv got the word that at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival Veterans day weekend in L.A. while performing "I'm Me" Weezy threw up the Roc-A-Fella sign.

Check out the J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

Soon after, instead of saying, "I'm a motherfucking Cash Money millionaire" he said "I'm a motherfucking Roc-A-Fella millionaire," leaving most spectators to believe he recently sign with Hova. This isn't the first time though, that lil Weezy implied signing to Jay Z. Last year at Summer Jam in Oakland, Ca, Wayne said "I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol Jay Z."

Many thought he meant he was moving from Cash Money to Roc Nation, even though he was in a current quarrel with Cash Money. Not long after however, his management cleared the air saying it was a deal with Tidal and not Sean Carter's record label as a artist owner.

Here Is Why The Tupac Biopic "All Eyez On Me" Isn't Out (Article)

2016-11-11T01:41:00.001-05:00

#AMPtv got the word that after being in production for months, the controversy surrounding the Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me continues.

There has been numerous reports of different release dates for that film, but no dice. One of the biggest rumors was that the films debut was held up because Daz Dillinger had a feud over the rights to the song “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” and the latest news was that the movie was supposed to come out today (November 11).

Well, sad to say, All Eyez on Me is not dropping today. L.T. Hutton recently posted a fiery speech to Instagram about why the movie is taking awhile to drop and reveals that any previous news about a release date is false.

(Story continues below ad)

Check out new J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

“Real quick public service announcement, there is no November release date,” L.T. says of the release. “The release date is coming very soon. I’m going to make that announcement. But we didn’t push back. We never had the release date. We never set a release date. We’re gonna set that very soon.”

The news comes almost the exact week after ex-director John Singleton blasted the film, saying “I know that they fucked it up.” L.T. Hutton continues his update by ensuring fans that he has taken the film, now directed by Benny Boom, very seriously.

“The film is healthy, we’re just doing what we gotta do,” he says in the post. “There’s more to distribution than what people understand. There’s more to post [production] than what people understand. The film, we just wanted it to be perfect. The integrity of this film matters. That’s the most important thing. So there’s things that Ima keep on fighting for and make sure this thing stays authentic. We not just gonna go with any company that wants to just cut this down or take this out or move this around just because they say so. I promised to lie down in front of a Mac truck before I let somebody mess this film up and that’s what Ima do. So give me a few more seconds, I’m gonna have a release date for y’all very soon.”

The film stars Demetrius Shipp, Jr. as Tupac and Jamal Woolard reprises his role as The Notorious B.I.G.

3 Scientifically Proven Tips To Reduce Stress (Article)

2016-11-11T01:17:00.001-05:00

As we grow into adulthood, stress begins to plague our lives on a daily basis. Rather its your boss riding you (figuratively, of course), school work, or just the simple fact you've had a bad day. 54 percent of Americans know they have stress problems. We are constantly stressed out and overwhelmed by what life continuously throws at us on the regular.

We've decided to give a few tips on things you can do on a daily basis that doesn't take up too much of you time and have been scientifically proven to help better your mood.

Lets dive right in.

(Article continues below ad)

Check out the new J Focuz single "Loaf" HERE

1. Meditation

As early as 5th century BCE, the ancient Indians were practicing an art which is simply a combination of breathing and clearing the mind. With all the things going on around us constantly, some time it is best to slow down and relax. Meditation, known also as Dhyana, has been used in many forms from Yoga to simply sitting down in a serene environment and soaking in the vibes.

It began as a means of spiritual growth but over time it became secular and began to emphasize stress reduction, relaxation, self improvement. We called it an art because that's exactly what it is. Beginners often quit early because they have no instant gratification, rather they feel they're doing it wrong (which you really can't) or just simply can't clear their mind for long enough.

Once mastered, meditation is a number one way to not only get more in tune with yourself and surroundings, but also helps you relax after (and recommended before) a long day.

2. Exercise

With a large population of the country being over-weight, exercise is always another good place to start. It's a known fact that after a hard day at work, once you hit the gym and get a good work out, chemicals called endorphins rush through your brain. These same endorphins act as naturally induced pain killers that after a huge fight with your girl friend will help relieve the stress.

There are many physically demanding things you can do besides working out, but this is one we thought we'd like to recommend.

3. Write It Down

"Dude, you keep a journal ?"- Writing things down in a journal or diary is a great way to get over a stressing day. It has the capacity to have meditative and reflective results. Being able to look down at why you've been upset and evaluate it can not only help you figure out why you were upset in the first place, but also help you to not be as upset next time around.

Writing out problems is also how some of the best music comes about. You can truly feel the things you write and once they're on the page it isn't so much of a weight on your shoulders any more. Something as simple as a gratitude journal, for instance, or even poetry, can help us all put things into perspective.
