Relocating across country is an exciting and life changing transition. Having said that, there is quite a bit of stress that comes with a long-distance move. 2. Keep moving boxes out of the way.

3. Leave your pet’s belongings out until moving day.

When people talk about pets and furry friends, I was so detached. Not that I don't like pets. Don't get me wrong but the reality was, I just cant relate. Well, that was 3 years ago and I tell you, my outlook towards animals and their human parents changed ... for the better!

This is Rusty, my rescued long haired dachshund on his first day at home. My husband and I were not planning to get a dog. We were just visiting the Jackson Humane Society to check the animals in the area and LO and BEHOLD! We went home with a 2 year old stubborn dachshund and I tell you, it was the best decision ever!

Today, Rusty is 4 years old and 5 months and though he is stubborn and a big snob, he is very loving, sweet, funny and a good boy. I love him so much! I never imagine myself hugging and kissing a dog but yes, I did that to this baby boy. He gives me joy and so much more. He knows that we love him so much.

Guess what? After 2 years of having Rusty, we rescued a puppy. A puppy who grew up so big that we almost return back to the shelter, LOL! I will tell you about this puppy on my next post. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Gifts

It's my birthday today. My husband and I celebrated my special day by having a short road trip from Mississippi to Florida. t was fun! I was craving for a meal that was sold by Miller's Ale House and the nearest location from us is in Pensacola. Off we did go! For birthday presents, I really did not wish for anything. I have a Taylor 110 at guitarcenter.com which my father-in-law had given me, its hidden in the closet and I never played with it. So, for now ... I don't wish for anything but, good health for today and always.

When I am not working, I used my free time cleaning the house, organizing things and decorating.

So yesterday, while cleaning the shed, I found this unopened box. It's a candle décor with a fountain in it. I bought this years ago and got hidden to all the boxes in the house when we moved from Florida to Mississippi.

The fountain is really soothing to the ear and I have it in the bedroom.

I like it. The only setback is that it runs with battery.

Other than that, this is great. It's a small size so, I plan to transfer this décor to the bathroom. The candle light is perfect in a good size area.

I've been asking my co-workers if they know how to play the guitar and almost all of them says that they don't. I guess I will be stuck for the longest time to halt my guitar playing hobby. That's not god huh? If only I can find my tuner then, I will be fine. Just this week, I was thinking to buy a microphone for my sing-along activity at home. Since I can't have a peavey electric guitar, I am just excited to listen to music and sing-a-long with it.

Hello #guitarenthusiasts out there! How's it going? I bet you've been learning new songs these days and I can't blame you. There are so many beautiful music these year and like you, I can't wait to play them using my #guitar. So, I went to one of my favorite online stores last week and I bought this gadget to help me tune my guitar.

I admit, the hardest activities while I play my guitar is not strumming or following the chord charts, those I can learn easy but. I'm terrible when it comes to #tuningguitar. To tune guitar is a hassle because I have to ask someone to fix it for me. Thank God for innovators out there who made this type of gadget and thus made my hobby moment enjoyable! Hello ... hello! I am updating my blog today! It's been quiet a while huh? How's my online friends these days? Since my last post, I found two jobs, I became a workaholic, I eat out a lot (still) , we bought a new house with a pool, we rescued a dog from a shelter, we have two guinea pigs and last week, I have a major surgery. So, what's new with y'all?

I was actually excited that I had my 6 weeks FMLA. The only not so great about it is, I will have no pay for 6 weeks too. But, I saved for rainy days so; I have budget to buy the MF's top sennheiser hd-280 pro headphones . How's that huh? Anyway, check out my next post, I will share my ordeal while having this surgery. When I go to work, I always bring my two phones, my smart watch and my earphone just like the westone earphones. Not only that, sometimes I also bring my iPad and my camera. My sling bag is truly heavy because of these gadgets. Without one of these gadgets, it feels like something is missing. What about you? Yes, I love my new phone and I have been using it to download music. One of my favorite collections is the single of Chuck Mangione's "Feel So Good". I was watching the video in YouTube and I just love that song. I just wish that there are more artists in this generation that can play saxophone as good as that. I play guitar but, I never tried saxophone. I would like to try to play a saxophone as long as I will have my own beechler alto sax mouthpiece. Can you guess why?

I woke up early today and started to watch TV. I want to be productive today because yesterday was terrible. I have a headache and for the whole day, all I did was lay in bed. That will not happen today. I plan to clean the rooms and organize stuff. I will treat my husband for a crab legs dinner tonight too. Of course, as I organize later on I will be stopping to play my guitar. I bought a new songbook and I am learning to play contemporary songs. When hubby and I went to a pet store about 3 weeks ago, I have a purpose of buying a #Parakeet bird. When I was checking on the bird cages, the store have few birds on display and none was a Parakeet. We decided to leave but my husband saw two cute guinea pigs in the cage. I don't like pets that look like rats at all but, I find the two guinea pigs .... oh super cute!

The two have long and curly hair and when they tried to shake their body, the hair swirl and I swear, they look like tiny puppy. Well, not the facial outline though LOL. They are huge guinea pigs. My husband adore the two male guinea pigs so; I end up spending almost $200 for the guinea pigs, fence and food. I told him, these two boys will be his birthday gift.

I am working whole day and 5x a week so; these two boys are good companion for him. This is Mr. Trump, think about Mr. Trump's hair LOL! Next post, I will show to you how cute Maverick is. We just have him check to a vet last week because of the red spots around his eye. We left him there for 3 days but, he is home now. Do you have pets too? What are they? Busy at Work

What's up you guys? I know it's been awhile since you heard me right? I was so busy at work ... like ...real busy! I had to wake up at 5 AM for my 6:45 clock-in. Sometimes I worked at 5 hours and sometimes 12 hours. Tiring, fun, exciting and hey, I am just thankful that I have work. I shower the night before so that when I woke up, all I did was fix and iron my thick and wavy hair. With long hours of work, I make sure I smell good too. Just wondering, have you ever used the petal pushers deodorant? At work, I don't need it because my workplace is cool and I don't sweat. In any case, I always have a lotion, roll-on and spray in my locker. How about you?

Freezing Outside Temperature

Our neighbor covered their swimming pool for few weeks now and look at ours, it's still open and so inviting. I seldom go out the backyard anymore. My husband turns on and off the pump manually so at least twice a day he would go out and brave the freezing outside temperature. I would love to clean the yard but, the cold weather is just so intense for me. The pile of leaves are not that ridiculous though. Last November, we hired a tree-trimming company to cut the hazardous trunks and limbs close to our house. They really did a good job.

For now, I am just waiting for a warm day and clean one section of the backyard each time if I get the chance. How was your New Year celebration by the way?

For me, good health is the greatest treasure of all. If one is healthy, happiness flows easy. There is no greater gift than good health. I always pray to God for good health of my family because no matter how I work hard, it will be nothing when someone gets sick. I was tired looking at my bathroom curtain so; I went to #Walmart and look for a new set. I like the curtain alright but, I just need a new one and a new color. Besides, I was also planning to buy a bathroom rug. First, I check out the rug and what I like was so expensive then I found this product. This is a #Mainstays brand and really affordable. I bought this for less than $20. The color? Nope, I do not like it but, this is the lighter color amongst the display.

For $20, this is a great buy. The set includes a shower curtain, 12 shower curtain and 2 memory foam bath rugs. So far, I like it and I am sure you'll like it too. Right now, I am again looking for a new bathroom curtain set for Christmas.

I am actually doing an online shopping for many days now and hopefully I can find the design and color that I want.

Well, that's what I read on their booth. If you have been to an art show before, you probably seen this type of display. I stopped and observed how this artwork transferred to the fabric. It was cool actually! This is very creative and free hands-on learning for kids too.

This booth is just one of the many interesting art exhibit and display that I find most compelling and fascinating during the #PeterAndersonFestival in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. One scarf which this young lady created for herself is worth $30.

It is not about the money right? If the kid enjoys being creative in designing her own scarf, $30 is worth it. I think she is with her grandma.

See the fabric display on top? That's the finish product. It is beautiful and yap, each design is different all the time. He asked the young girl what color she likes and he added the chosen colors on the liquid component. One drop each time. The colors spread around it and the girl will play on the color using a straw eventually creating a design. When she's done, the man put the length of the fabric on top of the colors and in second, all the colors will transfer to the fabric making it a scarf with awesome design.

Pretty cool huh? Anyway, this is a great business from home to start with right? You do it! Good luck!

All Souls' Day Observance

Did you go to the cemetery to visit your loved ones? Here in the US, they do not have this type of observance or commemoration for the dead. Today is just an ordinary day. My husband actually plan to visit his dad at the cemetery today but, when we were there at the Ocean Springs, he forgot. I did too. Anyway, after work tomorrow, I will remind him.

I was browsing photos of the cemetery in the Philippines and I thought, how lucky they were (the dead) that their relatives, family and friends offered, lighted candles and say their prayers for them. Somewhere and someone out there were forgotten souls. How sad and lonely can it be! Some families spent a night or two at the cemetery and brought food to feast on. All Soul's Day in the Philippines is a holiday for family gatherings and be with their dead loved ones. We do remember our departed family and friends today.

Today, I went to my appointment for a #Murad facial spa. Oh my goodness ... it was a relaxing and a soothing session. I have an hour session but, I think it lasted longer. My Esthetician perform an excellent job. She's skilled in her profession and she made me feel relax. I didn't know that I will get a bonus massage so; it feels great.

After the session, I decided to sign up for a membership at Massage Envy so I can enjoy a spa treatment every month. On my next session, I will try the Deep Tissue Massage and I plan to treat my husband too. For him, I choose the reflexology and I think, he will love that.

I can't wait for my next appointment. I am sure I will enjoy it a lot.

Of all the many products that I received for review purposes, this yoga mat is one of my favorites simply because it exceeded my expectation. The Yoga Mat

This is my second yoga mat and I chose the color blue because it is the symbol for peace and relaxation. I need that symbol to reflect on me. Once in a while I do yoga poses and meditation especially when I am down and feeling low. Yoga makes me relax and when I do yoga, it has become my stress reliever. When this product arrived, I used it right away. I can tell that the product is made of quality material. I like the fact that this product is latex-free and a SGS approved. One feature that I really like is the two-sided feature which make it so unique compared to my first yoga mat.
