Amy Oscar is the founder of the School of Sacred Images, where she teaches Interior Design — not the furniture and paint colors, but the design of our own interior. The psychospiritual rooms of the soul. The depth work of the unseen.
The method is image-reception: learning to see the sacred images we live inside of without knowing it — the inherited pictures of world, family, home, self, and other — and to reshape them through creative practice, guided imagery, and deep listening.
Before founding the school, she spent fifteen years at Woman's World magazine, rising from the slush pile to Senior Features Editor, ghost-writing a weekly column about angels for an audience of two million readers. During that time, she read approximately 10,000 letters from people who had encountered the divine, and co-authored My Guardian Angel (Hay House) with Doreen Virtue. That immersion changed everything. What began as editing became witnessing; what began as witnessing became a vocation
She is the author of Sea of Miracles (As If Publishing) and the creator of the Soul Call Cards, an oracle system given through direct transmission and now taught to practitioners through a professional certification program. Her earlier career includes systems analysis at Wang Labs, freelance writing for Parents, McCall’s, and Family Fun, and founding the Children’s Arts Project with Julia.
Her training weaves depth psychology, IFS, attachment theory, somatic and trauma-sensitive practice (including Judith Blackstone’s Realization Process and Arnold Mindell’s Process Work), narrative therapy, yogic psychology, and decades of direct conversation with non-physical teachers she calls the Guides.
Amy is currently at work on a six-volume memoir, The Eye. The I.: On Appearing Inside of Space Because I Am Here, and writes publicly on Substack in Becoming Real, where she offers workshops and essays arising from the Monastery — a two-year deep dive into twenty years of Flow Journals, unfolding in real time. She lives in New York with her husband Matthew, an architect, in a rose-colored studio he designed for her by combining their children’s former bedrooms into an aerie at the top of the stairs.
