Growing up in New York City, the honorable Mayor Edward Irving Koch was a big part of my life. This is an afternoon I spent with him for House & Garden back in the 90′s. I was just with him three weeks ago, and he was as funny and clever as ever. I’m sorry to see him go. New York has lost its ambassador to the world.

In the wake of hurricane Sandy a lot of us have been directly affected. We hope that those who were affected find the help they need and get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible. Both Nhi and I have been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

We are currently still without power and have had to relocate for the past few weeks. Because of this, we are unable to post any of our new stories we have to share. We hope you will be patient.

In the meantime, do what you can to help those in need.
