U.K. Stimulus Boosting Housing Risks

Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said the U.K. economy needs further policy support and pledged to maintain vigilance over the risks easy money might create for the housing market.

“We need to provide a lot of stimulus, but that stimulus can create risks,” Carney said in an interview on the “Charlie Rose” show aired on Bloomberg Television. “We need to take other steps in order to reduce those risks. If we don’t, we’re going to create bigger problems down the road or we’re going to have to pull back too soon on monetary policy, which is the last thing we want to do.”

Data today showed a measure of U.K. house prices rose to the highest in more than a decade last month. Carney took action to head off a potential housing bubble last month by diluting a credit-boosting program. He said in a speech in New York yesterday that the move will help officials keep monetary policy loose for longer.

“The true recovery is beginning,” Carney said in the interview. “We’ve got big headwinds from Europe, from the currency, from ongoing deleveraging, from households” and “we have not yet seen businesses really starting to invest, really starting to believe in these recoveries.”

Carney introduced forward guidance in August to encourage businesses and consumers to hire and spend by pledging not to raise the benchmark rate until unemployment, currently 7.6 percent, falls to 7 percent. The BOE held the rate at a record-low 0.5 percent last week.

‘Pretty Comfortable’

In a question-and-answer session after his speech at the Economic Club of New York, he said guidance has been “effective” in holding down short-term rates and bolstering the economy.

Britain’s economic recovery accelerated in the third quarter as investment and house building helped to offset the biggest drop in exports in more than two years. Gross domestic product increased 0.8 percent from three months earlier, matching an initial estimate, data showed Nov. 27.

“I feel pretty comfortable about the near-term outlook,” Carney said in the interview. “But the longer-term outlook is going to turn on these bigger questions of business investment, what happens to productivity, what happens to the so-called supply side of our economy.”

While the economy is growing, it remains 2.5 percent smaller than before the global financial crisis. BOE officials project unemployment will reach 7 percent as early as the end of 2014.

‘Big Question’

“The supply side, this is the big question,” Carney said. “Whether it’s the Federal Reserve or the Bank of England, we both see that this adds impetus to giving stimulus now to get people back into work as quickly as possible.”

In his speech, Carney said while news on the British economy has been “positive,” the recovery needs more robust global growth and that strong demand from the euro area remains “some way off.”

The governor, who joined the BOE in July, also said that risks from high household debt, the housing market and Britain’s current-account deficit “merit vigilance but not panic.”

Carney said in the speech that the U.K. recovery will “need to be sustained for a period before productivity -- and real wage -- gains can resume in earnest.”

On housing, Carney said in his interview that “there’s some welcome recovery in the U.K. housing market, but let’s be prudent, let’s act early, let’s ensure that it continues to evolve in a constructive way.”

Housing Boom

U.K. gross mortgage advances rose 19 percent to 49.5 billion pounds ($81 billion) in the third quarter from the previous three months, and were 25 percent higher than a year earlier, the BOE said today. That’s the highest amount in five years. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said today that its gauge of house prices rose to its highest since June 2002 last month.

“The steps we’ve taken have been to reinforce underwriting standards,” Carney said in his interview. “There’s a variety of ways where we could adjust the terms under which people could get mortgages if we had to. We could ask banks to put more capital behind every mortgage.”

He added: “If you do smaller things early enough, you don’t have to do the really big things later on.”

An unconventional monetary policy in which the central bank buying government securities or other securities from the market in order to lower interest rates and increase the money supply. Quantitative easing increases the money supply by flooding financial institutions with capital in an effort to promote increased lending and liquidity. Quantitative easing is considered when short-term rates at or near zero, and does not involve printing new banknotes.

Typically , the central bank targets the money supply by buying or selling government bonds. When the bank seeks to enhance economic growth, the purchase of government bonds, which lowered short-term interest rates and increase the money supply. This strategy loses its effectiveness when interest rates near zero, forcing the bank to try another strategy to stimulate the economy. Target QE commercial banks and private sector assets instead, and attempts to spur economic growth by encouraging banks to lend money. However, if the money supply increases too rapidly, quantitative easing may lead to higher levels of inflation . This is due to the fact that there is still a fixed amount of goods for sale at the time more money is now available in the economy. In addition, the bank may decide to keep the funds generated by quantitative easing in reserve rather than lend funds to individuals and businesses.

What is quantitative easing or quantitative easing monetary or tapering off is the newly created money is used to buy government bonds or other financial assets , while the term usually means printing money that printing money to finance government deficits directly or pay government debt.

Hari ini berita untuk US ada news CB Consumer Confidance (Conference Board Consumer Confidance). Mata uang EURO uptrend dalam minggu ini di level harga 1.3830, kalau seandainya harapan kepercayaan konsumen AS meningkat maka kemungkinan pergerakan mata uang US akan menguat dan diperkirakan mendekati harga di 1.3700 untuk hari ini. The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index yang telah meningkat sedikit pada bulan Agustus, dan menurun lagi pada bulan September sehingga menyebabkan pelemahan terhadap DOLLAR. Indeks sekarang saat ini di 79,7 (1985 = 100 ), turun dari 81,8 pada bulan Agustus. Indeks tumbuh menjadi 73,2 dari 70,9. Indeks Ekspektasi jatuh ke 84,1 dari 89,0 bulan lalu.

Keyakinan konsumen AS menurun pada September karena kekhawatiran tentang prospek jangka pendek sementara ekspektasi untuk kondisi bisnis masa depan sedikit berubah. Penilaian konsumen terhadap bisnis saat ini di fokuskan pada kondisi pasar tenaga kerja, bagaimanapun, hasil nya akan lebih positif. Sementara kondisi ekonomi secara keseluruhan tampaknya telah cukup membaik.

Pound entered the week in strong form, rallying 0.8 cents from 1.6020 to 1.6100

Although the United States remains entrenched in an unusual period of government shutdown, the Dollar managed to appreciate by just under half a cent against Sterling last week due to poor UK Manufacturing and Construction prints.

The Pound entered the week in strong form, rallying 0.8 cents from 1.6020 to 1.6100, as the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) reported that business sentiment jumped massively from 31.0 to a 17-year high of 53.0 in the third quarter.

Sterling stretched the US Dollar to a weekly high of 1.6124 on Tuesday as traders reacted to dark mutterings from White House officials appearing to confirm that Janet Yellen will replace Ben Bernanke at the helm of the world's most influential Central Bank next year. Yellen is seen as even more dovish than Bernanke and therefore she is expected to steer the US economy clear of choppy waters by prolonging the Federal Reserve's expansive asset purchasing scheme. Naturally, the prospect of additional monetary easing had a detrimental effect on demand for the Dollar.

The Pound tanked by just under -2.0 cents against the 'Greenback' on Wednesday as British GDP prospects were hurt by news that the UK Manufacturing Sector sunk to a shock monthly contraction of -1.2% in August, bringing the annualised score down to -0.2%. The downbeat data was accompanied by some worrying Trade Balance figures, showing that the deficit widened by £3.32 billion in August alone.

Sterling recovered slightly on Thursday, rallying back to 1.5980, as the Bank of England elected to leave interest rates unchanged at 0.50% and the level of quantitative easing unmoved at £375 billion. The US Dollar was also hurt by a rather stifling 6-month high Jobless Claims score of 374,000. The poor result, which was significantly higher than the previous weeks' 311,000, is likely to have been influenced by the government shutdown, meaning that the indicator should improve again when the budget debacle is finally over.

GBP/USD retreated again on Friday as UK Construction Output printed at -0.1%, compared to forecasts for a rise of +0.8%. The 'Greenback' was also buoyed by hopes that Republicans and Democrats could be on the verge of clinching a deal to raise the debt ceiling over the weekend…But alas the deal was not reached and the threat of the US government defaulting on its debt obligations returned, which sent the Pound back above 1.6000 when markets reopened for the week.

It is very difficult to predict the direction of GBP/USD this week owing to the uncertainty surrounding the debt ceiling: if policymakers agree on a deal at the eleventh hour, as is widely anticipated/hoped/prayed for, then the Dollar is likely to post a mild recovery against the Pound.

However, if the political impasse continues and the US government is forced to renege on its debt repayments then the tremors would be felt right across the financial spectrum: risk sentiment would dive, liquidity would freeze up and the US Dollar would likely plummet. This scenario is “unthinkable”, according to ECB President Mario Draghi, so perhaps it is best to focus on the more concrete elements of the economic calendar.

Strong UK jobs figures and Retail Sales results are likely to boost the Pound, but another downtick in CPI inflation to 2.6% could impact demand for UK gilts as speculators scale back their forecasts for the Bank of England's first interest rate hike. Overall the outlook for GBP/USD is extremely mixed, volatility is expected so it could be an idea to secure at least a portion of any trades you have in mind sooner rather than later to avoid any negative market movements. source:candlestick

Metode price action 123 ini sangat sederhana tidak perlu bantuan banyak-banyak template indicator dilayar metatrader anda. The world economy is entering a new phase. Developed economies strengthened though not as expected. As for economic growth in developing countries slowed. Towards the new equilibrium.

Economies in developed countries, an indication of a more positive, although not as fast as expected. U.S. economy improving, though still fragile. Europe has gradually recovered, although slightly negative growth. While Japan remained steady at 2 percent growth rate.

Meanwhile, developing countries, especially in the Asia Pacific region accounted for 50 percent of world gross domestic product, at greater risk. This is mainly related to policy changes at the level of the world and domestic challenges each country.

Dengan menawarkan imbal hasil fixed income 2,5% per bulan sampai 10% tiap bulannya. Waaowww fantastis.

Sebaiknya dalam berinvestasi hal yang paling penting diketahui adalah, apakah perusahaan tersebut beralamat dan berkantor di Indonesia atau dari luar negeri serta ijin usaha yang didapatkan perusahaan tersebut berasal dari negara mana? Dan kalau seandainya harga emas di loco London turun dan kurs dollar terhadap rupiah, rupiah mengalami penguatan maka maka harga emas fisik akan turun di pasaran.
Nah kalau harga emas di loco London naik dan kurs dollar terhadap rupiah, nilai rupiah melemah,
Dan kalau seandainya harga emas di loco London turun dan kurs dollar terhadap rupiah, rupiah mengalami penguatan dapat kita hitung seperti perhitungan dibawah ini.

Mis : Harga emas loco London = 1600 (naik)

Kurs dollar terhadap Rupiah = 9500 (rupiah lemah) berapa harga emas fisik dipasaran. Coba kita hitung estimasi harga pasar emas fisiknya seperti rumus diatas tadi.

1600 X 9500 X 1 / 31.1 = Rp. 488745,- / gram
1500 X 9000 X 1 / 31.1 = Rp. 434083,- / gram
1600 X 9000 X 1 / 31.1 = Rp. 463022,- / gram
1500 X 9500 X 1 / 31.1 = Rp. 458199,- / gram

Seperti itu lah perhitungan nya dari keempat pernyataan tersebut diatas.

Emas adalah unsur kimia dlm tabel periodik yang memiliki simbol Au (bahasa Latin: 'aurum') dan nomor atom 79. Sebuah logam transisi (trivalen dan univalen) yang lembek, mengkilap, kuning, berat, "malleable", dan "ductile". Emas tidak bereaksi dengan zat kimia lainnya tapi terserang oleh klorin, fluorin dan aqua regia. Logam ini banyak terdapat di nugget emas atau serbuk di bebatuan dan di deposit alluvial dan salah satu logam coinage. Kode ISO nya adalah XAU. Emas melebur dalam bentuk cair pada suhu sekitar 1000 derajat celcius. Itulah pengertian tentang emas secara umum.

Saat harga emas benar-benar runtuh, semua pihak seperti merasakan guncangan. Tetapi sebagian pihak lagi dapat memanfaatkan moment penurunan harga emas ini untuk tujuan investasi jangka panjang. Apa yang membuat sebenarnya harga emas ini benar-benar runtuh? Salah satu faktornya adalah karena kebijakan the fed yang membuat QE (quantitative easing).
