18 year old Emma Watson is best known for her portrayal of the bookish

Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, the series of phenomenally successful

films based on JK Rowling’s best selling books. She first auditioned for the role when she was nine years old and began filming at the age of ten and has

since starred in every one of the six films; Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone; Harry Potter and

the Chamber of Secrets; Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban; Harry Potter and the Order of the

Phoenix and most recently Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which will be released in cinemas in

July 2009.

The final instalment Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will commence filming in February 2009. The

film will then be released in two parts in November 2010 and the summer of 2011.

The Harry Potter films have brought Emma worldwide acclaim and have won her many awards and

nominations including the AOL Moviegoers award for Best Actress (she won twice and was nominated

a third time); the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Performance by a Youth and the honour of

being voted Best Actress at the ITV National Movie Awards.

Most recently Emma stars as the voice of Princess Pea in the animated feature based on Kate

DiCamillo’s best selling children’s story The Tale of Despereaux, which opens in cinemas in December.

She is joined by co-stars Dustin Hoffman, Sigourney Weaver, Tracey Ullman, Robbie Coltrane, Kevin

Kline and Matthew Broderick as the voice of brave young mouse Despereaux who makes it his mission

to protect the princess from harm.

Emma’s other projects include the BBC’s Ballet Shoes again based on a much loved book (by Noel

Streatfeild), in which she starred as Pauline Fossil one of three adopted sisters who endeavour to over

come hardship to follow their separate dreams. Yasmin Paige and Lucy Boynton play her screen sisters

Petrova and Posy. The programme which garnered huge audiences and great critical acclaim when it

was broadcast in December 2007, also stars Victoria Wood, Celia Fox and Richard Griffiths.

When Emma is not filming she is a dedicated student. She achieved 10 top A grades at GCSE and four

A’s at A Level. She has taken a year out in order to complete the final instalments of the Harry Potter

films, but intends to attend university in the Autumn.

Jonne Rowling, alias JK Rowling, memang jagoan membuat cerita fiksi! Bahkan detil yang paling tidak penting diraciknya menjadi bagian cerita yang menarik demi memanjakan imajinasi pembacanya! Itu juga berkat kepintaranya dalam mengkombinasi kenyataan dengan bumbu – bumbu fantasi. Ini dia contohnya!

Invisibility Cloak

Dalam cerita…..Harry menggunakan jubah gaib pemberian ayahnya, James Potter, yang membuat pemakainya tidak terlihat, untuk bersembunyi dan berpetualangn tanpa sepengetahuan orang lain.

Kenyataanya…..jubah semacam ini bukan cuma eksis dalam khayalan kita semata! Sejumlah peneliti di inggris dan Amerika Serikat tengah memeras otak untuk membuat ‘ jubah gaib ‘ ini. Cumin bedanya, mereka berencana membuatnya dari bahan sintetis, bukan dengan bantuan sihir ala Hogwarts. Nader Engheta, seorang professor di University of Pennsylvania, mengaku menggunakan materi baru bernama metamaterial untuk proyeknya ini. Teorinya, jubah yang terbuat dari bahan ini, dengan disain yang spesifik, tidak akan memantulkan cahaya ataupun membuat bayangan. Seperti arus air yang menyelimuti batu besar di sebuah sungai, cahaya dan segala bentuk radiasi elektromagnetik lain yang mengenai jubah ini hanya akan melayang di sekitarnya, terus mengalir seperti tidak mengenai apa – apa. Ini bakal membuat kita bisa memandang menembus jubah itu, dan tidak melihat apapun yang tersembunyi di dalamnya. Namun, berhubungan materi teknologi baru ini di sinyalir bakal cukup berat dan tidak setipis kain, jadi kayaknya agak sulit memakainya untuk sehari – hari.

Dalam cerita….burung hantu umum digunakan masyarakat sihir, terutama untuk mengirim berita dan mengantar barang, seperti merpati pos. Di buku pertamanya, terkisah Hagrid menghadiahkan seekor burung hantu betina jenis snow owl pada Harry untuk dipelihara, yang kemudian diberi nama Hedwig.

Kenyataannya…. burung hantu sebenarnya kurang ok untuk dipelihara, karena mereka membutuhkan banyak ruang untk terbang dan berburu hewan makanan. Jadi, kita yang mengaku sayang pada hewan unik ini, pasti engga tega untuk mengurungnya dalm kandang di kamar! Dan, kalau dalm cerita Hedwig adalahseekor burung hantu betina, dalam film, Hadwig yang berbulu sepolos salju sebenarnya diperankan seekor pejantan. Memang biasanya memiliki bulu serba putih, sementara pada sayap dan dada yang betina cenderung terdapat bulu – bulu gelap.

Ternyata J.K. Rowling tidak asal menciptakan kata – kata mantra dalam buku Harry Potter. Dia menemukan mantra – mantranya dari kitab rahasia. Rupanya kitab rahasia itu adalah kamus bahasa. J.K. Rowling memang mendapatkan kata – kata ajaib itu dari barbagai bahasa. Ada bahasa Inggris, Italia, Hawaii, Portugis, Aramaic, dan yang terutama bahasa Latin. Kata – kata dari berbagai bahasa itu kemudian ada yang dicampur, ada juga yang langsung digunakan sebagai kata mantra.

Munculnya kerutan seiring pertambahan usia memang tidak bisa dihindari, namun tentu saja masih bisa diperlambat. Salah satu cara alami agar wajah tak cepat dihinggapi kerutan adalah dengan buah anggur hijau tanpa biji. Anggur ini memiliki kandungan tertentu yang senantiasa dijadikan salah satu zat terpenting dalam krim anti kerut yang beredar di pasaran.
Caranya mudah :

Potonglah anggur menjadi dua bagian
Oleskan potongan tersebut ( dengan bagian yang berair bersentuhan dengan kulit wajah ) pada wajah dan leher
Pastikan area yang mulai menampakkan kerut tak terlewatkan.
Biarkan selama 15 – 20 menit
Bilas dengan air hangat sampai bersih, lalu keringkan

Berbahagialah wahai wanita sholehah. Sebab Rasulullah SAW bersabda,”Dunia ini adalah perhiasan, dan sebaik – baik perhiasan adalah wanita shalihah”. ( H.R.Muslim, Ahmad, dan an – Nasa`i. ). Disisi lain berhati – hatilah sebab Beliau SAW juga berpesan tentang fitnah terbesar dari kaummu,”Tidak ada suatu fitnah ( bencana ) yang lebih besar bahayanya dan lebih bermaharajalela – selepas wafatku terhadap kaum lelaki, selain daripada fitnah yang berpuncak dari kaum wanita “( H.R.Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad, at – Tirmidzi, an – Nasa`I dan Ibnu Majah).

Doa wanita lebih makbul daripada lelaki, karena sifat penyayang dan lebih kuat daripada lelaki. Ketika ditanya kepada Rasulullah SAW akan hal tersebut, jawab baginda,” Ibu lebih penyayang daripada bapak dan do`a orang penyayang tidak akan sia – sia.
Wanita yang shalihah itu lebih baik daripada 1000 lelaki yang sholeh.
Barang siapa yang menggembirakan, anak perempuannya, derajatnya seperti orang yang senantiasa menangis karena takut Allah SWT dan orang yang takut Allah SWT akan diharamkan api neraka di atas tubuhnya.
Barang siapa yang membawa hadiah ( barang, makanan dari pasar ke rumah ) lalu diberikan kepada keluarganya, maka pahalanya seperti bersederkah. Hendaklah mendahulukan anak perempuan daripada anak lelaki. Maka, barang siapa yang menyukai akan anak perempuan seolah – olah dia memerdekakan Nabi Ismail A.s.
Wanita yang tinggal bersama anak – anaknya, akan tinggal bersama aku ( Rasulullah SAW ) di dalam surga.
Barang siapa yang mempunyai 3 anak perempuan atau 3 saudara perempuan atau 2 saudara perempuan, lalu dia bersikap ihsan dalam pergaulan dengan mereka dengan penuh rasa takwa serta bertanggung jawab, maka baginya adalah surga.

Tiap perempuan yang menolong suaminya dalam urusan agama, maka Allah SWT memasukkan dia ke dalam surga lebih dahulu daripada suaminya ( 10.000 tahun ).
Apabila seorang perempuan mengandung janin dalam rahimnya, maka beristighfarlah para malaikat untuknya. Allah SWT mencatatkan baginya setiap hari dengan seribu kebaikan dan menghapus darinya seribu kejahatan.
Apabila seorang perempuan mulai sakit hendak bersalain, maka Allah SWT mencatat baginya pahala orang yang berjihad pada jalan Allah SWT.
Apabila seorang perempuan melahirkan anak, keluarlah dia dari dosa – dosa seperti keadaan ibunya melahirkan.
Apabila telah lahir ( anak ) lalu disusui, maka bagi ibu itu setiap satu tegukan dari susunya diberi satu kebajikan.
Apabila semalaman ( Ibu ) tidak tidur akan menjaga anaknya yang sakit, maka Allah SWT memberinya pahala seperti memerdekakan 70 orang hamba dengan keikhlasan untuk membela agama Allah SWT.
