Milk substitute

Formulas is quite expensive these days specially when you had a baby who loves to drink milk. I mean my baby needs to be fed every two hours or she'll wake up and cry like crazy. She consumed four regular size of canned formulas and it's not that cheap, It's really pain in our pocket, but what could we do, but... have faith that God will provide for her needs and ours.

So since my baby is really a milk addict in a way (lol!) I need to look for a substitute, and so.. some older friends who has kids already told me about grinding rice grain. All you need to do it boil five cups of water with one two table spoon of fine grind rice. Make sure you dissolve the powdered rice with water before pouring in the boiling water. Let it boil for three minutes and cool aside. Make sure that the watery porridge is cold before putting it on the baby's milk bottle. With two hundred ounces of this... mix it with two scoop of baby's formula.

With this strategy of mine to lessen milk expenses means my hubby needs to go to the market at least once in two weeks to buy some fine ground rice grain. How I wish I can do this myself so that I really know that the food I'm feeding my baby is really clean, I really wish I have a sieving machine, so that I can get the finest rice powder ever.

Nothing is more exciting than seventy-five percent off food voucher or coupons. Nothing is more fun than friends who loves to go food tripping :).

My friend just send me a link about a buffet of more than fifty percent off, and of course I said I'm "in" if their "in". I told my other friend about this also and she said "yes, let's go!" I can't wait to go to this place. I am just thankful that hubby is not against these things co'z he also love food tripping.

Well.. this is what we usually do: when we saw cheap coupons like sears coupons, we spread the news with our friends and decide it ourselves if we like it then we go for it. We only not share food discounts coupons, we also share just anything that we thought our friends would be interested in. :)

My baby has cough and colds again, we actually thought it's because she's cutting her first tooth reasons why last three days she has light fever, but as days went by and I don't see any tooth coming out and cough and colds are getting harder it made me think that this must be something else. The thing is.. I don't want to bring her to her doctor anymore co'z it means more taking of antibiotics.

Hubby is blaming the dust from the constructions going behind our house. We are thinking that my baby is having allergy because of the dust the constructions made. But what could we do? we can't just tell them to back off and leave their work behind. Goodness... there is no else we could go to as well to escape the dust.

This actually made me think of the business we thought of doing in the city. If we have the business I might have somewhere to go to during the day and I'll bring my baby with me. But the thing is the business we've been planning to do is almost forgotten because we don't know any equipment leasing to help us up start the new business, and one thing more we can't find a good place for the business too.

How I wish that the Lord will indeed open up an opportunity for us to continue a business that has been established... the same business that I want.. a "coffee shop".

Thinking and dreaming

There were times at night when I went to bed thinking of places to go specially now that it's the first month of the year and planning are of what most people do. I can feel that the summer is soon because of the sweat I have and it makes me think of somewhere cold but with a hot bath tub in the shower room where I could just soak myself in warm water and relax.
Wondering though that if ever God willing I've got a bigger house and got a bigger bathroom, I might buy a hot tub and hot tub covers so that when no one is using it we could cover it to prevent it from getting dirty and easily looking old. I don't want to think that I want to get rich co'z that's all people wants in life but I want to feel and experience (the good one) the rich people life :).
As of now... I want to be contented of what I have to eliminate negative thoughts and feelings that I may glorify the God who gave me all that I have.

Loving thy neighbor

...is stressful and hard.
Moving to our new house is quite a challenge. Our neighbors challenge our Christian character. It was at first hard for me cause they really drove me mad and I faced them with my earthly-manly fist. After being foolish and all.. I realized again who I am and what is my purpose.
Hubby on the other hand is a very downhearted and calm person that is a very opposite of me. He tried to get friends with our neighbors even though he gets some not good feedback from them, but still he tries to smile even he doesn't get any... even "monalisa smile" back. This act of my hubby humbled me in a way. Sometime I wish I'm like him.
I'm just thankful that God is good even in my sometimes not good attitude. I pray that I'll be able to love them as Jesus do.

acoustic guitar

Hubby received a guitar as a gift from a friend, the guitar was not that new though but a little fixing done and all is good. I am not surprised if hubby received good gifts from friends co'z he is a generous person with a very kind heart. He now own two guitar: one is electric and the is acoustic. He is now planning to teach his younger brother how to play guitar since he is a good lead-guitar player.

Hubby is a hard person sometimes when it comes to his treasured stuff or important gadgets co'z his motto is: "I cannot have those anytime I want co'z I don't have the money to buy all the time, so better yet take care of them". It was at first hard for me to understand why he has to scold me whenever I accidentally do something to his things, but now that I got his point, I just don't mind anymore if he takes time looking at his guitar, wiping the dirt and carefully folding the guitar straps and neatly put it in a box together with the other guitar gadgets.

The other day I put some of his stuff in the stock room but I have to tell him that I was the one who did it to keep my in-laws out of trouble :)

Nico and the Sumaya bros. (raymond and roldan) visited us yesterday. It's good to see and have them in our house. It's actually unusual to see some of the young people from church will come to visit co'z we are far away from where the live. We spend five hundred pesos for fare going and coming to where they are, but since they have a bike and they wanted to see their "kuya Doy and Ziah" the long bike trip did not matter to them anymore... and they came :)
They watched movies from ten am till two pm :). I'm glad though that they have fun.

Discussion, coffee and ziah

Hubby came home late the other day with a news, he said that our credit card bill has finally came and it's more than the amount we expected. So we talked about it for a long time and was still our topic the next day. We sometimes got annoyed of each other along the course of our talked but most of the time we laughed though co'z we always told each other that we should control the use of it, but due to our needs especially with a baby we can't help but use it. If we don't talked about the things we usually do the whole day.... we talked about our credit card expenses.

Most of the expenses we have for our recent credit card bill where all December use (meaning those we spend for Christmas season), and the sad thing about it is I haven't got any gift for hubby yet and thinking of a titanium watches would mean pain in our bank account again when the bills came. So now... I am trying my very best to control or cross cut first just to lessen bills for the next moth.

I hope and pray that more blessings of my baby day to day needs and groceries for us this month so that we won't have to use our credit card even just for the month. :) (hope the Lord hear my prayer and grant the desire of my heart).

New house

I was so happy I have moved next to my friends house last week of December just this past year 2011, but the smile on my face vanished when she told me that she's moving to her new house first week of January. I've got so busy these past few weeks and we haven't got a chance to sit down sip coffee and talked, and in fact I haven't done this to any of my friends yet and I soo want to talk with my friends. The last thing I know though was when I saw my neighbor friend putting her stuff in the truck and ready to go. All I could do was accompany her to her new house.

Her house is not furnish yet but she has to move anyway since her budget is tight since it's really hard to pay two house at the same time. It's a cement house not a steel buildings.. it's more of cement than a still as far as I know (based on my opinion:). I just hope and pray that she'll get settled and adjust to her new house the soonest possible. I like it there actually. It's less people and a little quiet :)

Yup, holidays are over and so are my busyness too. Been up and down here and there but definitely back in here. I haven't forgotten by blog yet, this has been on my mind all along, it's just sad to say that even though I'm pumped up for updating my blog but I don't any internet connection yet. My dsl transfer is not yet being done by pldt people, I'm a little annoyed now actually.

I'm hoping that tomorrow my internet it will come co'z I miss it so much. Thanks to my neighbors who share their wifi generously. :)

I don't want to say I'm lucky I did not suffer from typhoon sendong like those whom became victims of it, because I am emotionally affected. There were actually instances where when I cannot bring myself to watched the damage Sendong caused on television. In fact I still cannot hold myself not to cry when I remember it. I still believe God has good reasons and purpose when He allows these things to happen.

I don't know how those people who lost loved ones to still continue living knowing that they'll never find their missing piece ever again. It would remain missing forever unless the good Lord would heal their heart and make it whole again. How I wish that I could just dry up Sendong's flooding memory like drying up my boots using a boot dryers to make life beautiful and warm again for those who suffer from the flood.

Party and gifts

Last Sunday was our church Christmas party, it was held just in our church and instead of doing it in the usual time, my pastor decided to do it in the afternoon so that those who live far could attend the event too. It was actually beneficial with me and hubby since we live hours drive farther.

The party was fun indeed specially that everyone went home with a gift, the gift received may not that expensive but a gift is still a gift and getting one was indeed of great delight. As for me and hubby: we get a pail and two big size meat loaf and my pastor's wife gave me an eyeliner which I really like co'z I am blessed with a long eyelashes so all I need to do is enhance the beauty of my eyes. I do have a friend who one time avail eyelash growth products because her eyelashes are smaller.

I am thankful of the gifts I received this year and the big chunk of my thanksgiving is for giving us my baby! :) Praise YOU dear Lord for everything (for the good and the challenging one).

Three days to go (Z's dedication)

Went to the mall today to buy some stuff needed for my Z's special day. I am excited and almost can't wait for the day to come. I don't expect a lot of people co'z I want this to be simple so that the true essence of the day will will be felt.
I actually did not invite some of my relatives... just my sister and two cousins. I did not invites my aunts and uncles and other cousins. I know I'm "lagot" but what can I do my budget tells me ... just a few. So invited only those who are close to me and my family. Those who indeed have shared their precious moments with my baby Z. I love my baby so much and so I love those who love her as well.
I choose the date for the reasons that I don't have to invite loads of people for they too are busy with their holidays.
Praying that the Lord would indeed be glorified during this day.

Yup.... you did it again. I still believe there is still goodness in you. Yet... your making those around you's life uncomfortable. No wonder only few people wants to be friend with you, actually those who tried and remains... they do it out of love of Jesus (they make you part of their ministry). A tooth issue

Five years ago I got a bathroom accident where it led to my tooth damage. I slip my foot and fell face down into the corner of the toilet bowl. It was a horrifying experience I will never forget. I got a swollen face and a broken tooth. I'm thankful now though that aside from that said damage there's nothing more. But the tooth issue is I am still suffering up to the moment.

I actually told hubby the other day if we could visit the dentist co'z I feel like removing it co'z there is this sensation I feel that is really head boggling sometimes. But hubby doesn't like my idea co'z my tooth still looks alright from the outside only there's this almost not visible crack. How I wish I could find a cheap dental insurance quotes so that going to the dentist is a "no problem" anymore. Getting your teeth fixed means you need to have a great fortune in exchange for a good and nice dentures.

My friend and I together with my adorable little angel went to my friends new house to see if she could take it already (meaning: she evaluates her house to see any damage or anything) before she could finally sign the paper contract from the developer. I'm happy co'z after a long time of waiting she's finally cleared and ready to move in.

While we tour around the house I couldn't help myself but think of my own house as well. I am excited as she is, but the house needs to be tiled and needs to set-up to make it look like a real home. Looking at the house made me wish that if... I only have a job that pays really good like Software Engineer Jobs maybe, I probably saves money for home interior design I will do this make our house a beautiful place to live in.

Well, I know I don't have a lot of money to spend over a lot of things I desire but I have enough for the day co'z my God provides for me :).

It's been a week that I did not do any laundering because:
1. my body was kind of sore and I felt so lazy,
2. tired co'z I don't get enough sleep (you know when you have baby.. you wake almost every hour),
3. I feel like really have to update my blog but every time I turn the computer on.. I open my facebook account and play online games on facebook :d,
4. blame it to the sun co'z it didn't come out often... so the rain keeps coming.
5. the rest is history :))))

..but finally I felt like my baby has almost ran out of clothes to wear, so this morning when she fell asleep I took the courage to face our dirty clothes and now... the victory is mine. hurrah to me! :)

Miss my hubby badly

Duh! our dvd-vcd player is broken, we just run out of cooking gas, almost no food, almost no drinking water, it's raining outside and no hubby. I am just thankful that the electric power is still on co'z it was out for more than an hour yesterday. I probably would cry if even the light is out.

I can't wait for tonight co'z hubby say's he'll be home tonight. I don't care if he comes home late as long as he comes home tonight. As a song goes: " I can take all the madness the world has to give, but I won't last a day without you!" Cheesy I know... but who can blame me if I miss my husband so badly today.
