This year we decided to work with CEFC for the album which was such good fun. Considering my whole musical background as a kid was singing and choirs but I know work almost exclusively with orchestras this felt like being at home again!

Greatest Video Game Music II
Since May we've been all hard at work preparing the next album with the London Philharmonic Orchestra of video game music.

In July we recorded the score composed by Daniel Pemberton for a new Nick Murphy film called Blood. A really good cop thriller story and a cracking score from DP played beautifully on a hot, toring day in Abbey Road 2 by Cool Music.

Operashots - Neil Hannon

Neil Hannon's new opera for the Royal Opera House ROH2 series is now in rehearsal. I've spent a very exciting few weeks with the singers in piano rehearsals and now we're about to get the orchestra in and see it on the proper stage for the first time.

The opera is called Sevastopol and is told from the point of view of the young Tolstoy, who as an emerging author visits the brutal siege of Sevastopol during the early stages of the Crimean war and reports back much in the way of a modern war correspondent. It's more fun than it sounds!

It's been wonderful being involved with my first OperaShots - it's a wonderful team they have on it.

Seventh Heaven

I'm very excited about this release. It is a double album which contains a lot of the best music that Anthony Phillips (ex of Genesis) and I have done over the last couple of years.

Some classic filmic orchestral music recorded partly in Prague with the City of Prague Philharmonic and also in Abbey Road and Angel Studios with Isobel Griffiths orchestra.

Also some reinterpretations of Anthony's solo guitar pieces with strings.
