Link Idea For Twitter

We (twitter users) have a problem with twitter; to add links. In order to add a link we use tinyurl; however, it is not the main solution. The link’s label does not show the target, and it affects word count.

I believe twitter administrators can solve the problem by adding a link system to twitter.

Here is my idea that can be an example:

A link button that will be activated while a part of the text is selected can be added there:

When the button is clicked a link textbox is shown there for entering the link.

After link is written and “okay” is clicked the selected part of the text will be converted to link.

I think a system like this can halt the problem. Maybe while sending twitts with mobile phone this does not work. But this system will be useful for the users who use mobile phone for sending twitt.

A Warning for Pregnants

Not a new idea but a warning. Our aim id to share, I thought it would be good to share this warning:

Pregnant women are warned about what they must and mustn’t do by their relatives and their doctors, and pregnants try to obey this warnings also some of them are not proved as harmful. This is because they are responsible from the health of thier babies, and their own health.

One of the result of these warnings, pregnants do not want to walk through metal dedectors which are used to detect metal weapons for safety. Security guards allow this too.

But this women do not care about shoplifting detection systems located on the store’s exit. Moreover, sometimes cash desks are located near these detectors. Furthermore, clerks who are working near these detectors can be pregant too.

Have you ever thought about their magnetig field and its frequency? The magnetic field of these detectors is 1-20 times bigger than magnetic filed of metal detectors. And their frequency is 1-2000 times bigger than metal detector’s.

Is magnetic field harmful for people? It is not proved yet, but for much of the scientists it can be harmful.

If it is harmful, and if these women try to be away from cell phones, do not want to walk through the metal detectors, it would be good to know this big danger.

If there is not a harmful effect of magnetic field on people, this post can be pointless, but I hope it would be nice.

More Useful Kiosk

I visited some shops like bookstores. I saw a kiosk (the device to learn stuff’s price by showing its barcode to device) all of there.

All of them looked inefficient to me, so I thought about it, and now I am sharing my ideas.

All of the devices I saw were giving information about only best sellers and new stuffs; moreover, they only show the prices when a stuff’s barcode is readed.

But there are the computers with touch screen which can do more than this. We can use them more efficient:

A questioning system can be added them. By the help of this system, we can learn whether the stuff which is rare is available or not. Furthermore, a questioning system for writer/artist will be good too.

By an agreement with a movie web site such as imdb, when a movie is read, it shows its trailer, or its point on web site, ect.

By a detailed information button, it shows wird information about the stuff. Generally on music albums like; “While making its video clip two million images were used.”

Sales campaigns would be highlighted.

Special customer cards can be analyzed there. Moreover, the point you will earn by buying the stuff can be written learned by using the device.

The information as “the others of the singer/artist” would be good.

Random option which can be specified by types would be good too.

I do not want to say there is not a device like that. There must be.

But the devices I saw were not like that, all of them were inefficient, so I wrote this post for the producers (especially for programmers). Maybe this will be a help for them.

Online Newspaper

Reading newspaper on a web site is not an easy thing. Moreover, most of the newspaper sites are boring to read a new.

Furthermore, there are some difference in preferences. For example, one can like headline of a newspaper while wanting to read the other’s columnist. But we there is not an opportunity to design our newspaper.

Therefore, a new idea has came to my mind.

By the design of iGoogle, my.live.com, we can create a web site for newspapers. Like placing this newspaper’s headline to there, another’s columnist there. Besides there must be many boxes to place such as, most read writings/news, weather forecast, what is on tv…

There is another thing essential: advertisement. It is essential mainstay for an web site too. So how we can place the advertisements?

I think placing them must be the users’ business.
All of the place has an advetisement point and a barage point.

If all of the advertisement are placed on the bottom, total point is less then barage point; moreover, if all of them are placed on top, users have
to show less advertisements.

It is also a good thing to make them printable, because while reading something important using paper is more useful than a website.

Moon and Star

I am not good at drawing on computer, so some imagination can help to see how beautiful it can be.

Furthermore, location of the symbols on the back might be good too.

Science Fiction

Since I started to university, I have watched movies to much to prove my English. Most of these films are science fiction. And once a day, I wanted to write a story:

Calenders show a time from the future, and the earth has became too hot because of global warming. Therefore there are forest fires. Because of these fire and the pollution caused by factories, living places have been becoming isolated places. Furthermore, most of the people has started to leave the earth. Some of them prefer to live on moon, and the other prefer space ships to live. Besides their needs are provided mostly from the sources of Earth.

It starts with a shuttle crash which did not move in plans. Some says it is because of the satellites located the Earth to collect all of the computer on a web, but the other problems like earthquakes make people think about another cause, so universities starts to search this cause. In a short time they find much problems which are the caused of their acting not like they have to. Then the cause:

Leaving of the Earth and being used as a gas station has lighten the Earth and has caused a problem on gravitational forces. Therefore, Earth has started to become distant from the Sun. Moreover, people chosen living on moon has caused moon’s becoming heavier and this has caused a chain of problems on Earth.

Becoming distant from the Sun has caused a little more cooling on Earth and some healing on global warming. Moreover, this information is wanted to hidden from people and tried to use for political benefits.

When I came there, I realised that I am not able to finish this story, and I continued from another part.

[Calenders show the time more future. In order to survive people had left the Earth. The space colonies have a leader, and this leader has only one aim: make the Earth the home of humans again.]

Leader come into the room and goes through the professor:

- The report you brought was not elucidative. You are my lost hope to go back to the Earth, so I wanted to come and talk with you face to face.
- Sir, we are going to process a new experiment. First, you watch it then we will give you thorough information.

On that time, an sound anouncing the time to start the experiment is heard. Professor asks for permission to leave and lefts the room. then a place where the experiment can be watched completely is shown to leader by the order of the professor.

Nearly everything is ready for the experiment. As the last item a robot comes into the experiment room. It is nearly 13 years old a robot.

The information that saying the machine is ready for the experiment is given. Robot is placed to the machine, and robot’s order is written on the door of the machine. Then the professors left the room, and travel is started by adjusted for 10 years.

After 3 minutes the sound saying that the travel has been completed is heard. Professor goes near to the leader:

- Now, our robot is going togo out of the machine and walk for 10 minutes to discovery.
- But I do not understand why did you chose this old robot. You could have use a newer one. What is your aim for doing this?

At that time, it is heard that the machine’s door is being opened. The leader does not want to see that this experiment is failed, because if he cannot find a way to go back to earth, he will lose everyting.

But when the robot starts to apperar behind the door, the situation changes. This is not the same robot. This is 10 year newer of the other.

After completing 10 minutes discovery walk, it enters the machine again and machine is worked back. Then when door is opened again, the 13 years old robot stands there.

[Experiment finishes]

The leader is waiting impatiently in meeting room. The professor comes and takes their places. The leader starts to talk happly:

- I am proud of you. We can go back to the earth now. This is a miracle for humans.
- Sir, but there is a problem.
- Traveling in time was our most important problem, and if it is solved there cannot be any problem that cannot be solved.
- I want to give a better explanation:

You read our first report. It was not elucidative. Because we did not understand the situation. The robot could not bring any information to us. But we thought we were right. We analyzed the records of the cameras which look entire of the machine to see the time field. We realised that when the robot went back 10 years, there were only cables, metals, plastics, and glass. A robot is based on these materials.

We realised that all of the parts that makes our robot was changed back to what they were 10 years before.

The Leader:
- But this is not a problem. The earth stands there for centuries.

The Professor:
- Yes, but the results show us the experiment does not happen in the way we want.

There are many books, films about time travel. And in all of them when the travellor jumpes out of the machine, s/he was in a different time, if he lives at that time he try not to be shown by himself.

After our first experiment we noticed that cannot be happen in that way.

We analyze by thinking of atoms. In a heap, there cannot be same item twice. And there cannot be same atom in the same time twice too. Because, time is a heap of the moment. Moreover, if I go another time, and turn back one hour later, I will not be in the heap for one hour. This is against the laws of the cosmos.

The leader by being confused:
- Do you mean you need more money.

- No you see the experiment; when the door is opened the robot did not exist in ten years ago. It was exist in now, but it was in the shape what it was in ten years ago. This means if we, all of the humans, enters in the machine, and go back to 2000 year, we will not live that time; moreover, our atoms will change back to what they were at that time, and we will not be exist.

There are no opportunity to apply this like in the films. We do not know border of the space, and there is not any power to apply this to whole space.

There is only one opportunity. We take back all of the things coming from the earth and operate machine around the earth, then the earth turns back to what he was before us, and we will not be exist. Bu there will be one note to the humans:

“There is no place like earth to live, so be careful while using.”

A New Operation System

In recent days a new idea was appeared: gOS. A kind of linux. For new computer users it is very helpful idea. Its main property is placing some web sites which are used much on the desktop as they are a program, and its aim is to be easy, useful, and online.

The other idea is online operation systems such as; YouOS, eyeOS. First you open a website then the windows on it.

Moreover there are some online office applications too.

We are placing on the internet step by step, and I want to help these ideas with my definition of a new idea of an operation system:

Think of a new computer. Not an expensive or a very fast computer, because of the operation system inside. When opened, its seen that there are icons, start menu, … But these items are items of a web site as in YouOs.

(It is more developed than a web site. On an online operation system when you clicked a folder, the site send you the information about the shape, color, what is inside of the folder which will be opened. But in this system only sending information about what is inside the folder is enough to open a folder, so this system is better than the others.)

What advantages this has? ▼

Because nearly all of the process are completed on servers, the computer does not have to be so fast, and cheap processors can give better result. This leads to better performance on portable computers.
Thinking that you are in a friend’s home, in an internet cafe, or in office. When you write you personal account’s information to the computer, your pc stands in front of you.
You became safer. Your server is not only operating an antivirus program, but also backing up your files to be reliable.
You buy a computer program (like photoshop) online. After buying, without having a cd, dvd, or any setup files, you click to add a new program, and select photoshop, then write your licence number which is given you while buying, then program is available to start.
You buy a legal mp3. While buying, the site asks you some information about your account, after buying finished you can see your mp3 in your media player with its information about compositor, singer, year, … And this afflicts illegal mp3s.
When there is a need to share a file with a friend, you click sharing properties of the file and select your friend as the person whom the file will be shared. Moreover, by using these properties, you can make the file an item of a sharing web like emule.
While you are downloading a big file, if you are downloading it to your virtual disk located on your server, also you close your computer, it continues. If you are downloading it to your local disk, and you close your computer, it continues downloading to virtual disk then, when you open your computer these part are combined.
Uploading a file located on virtual disk is easier, because it is on located on the web, only it will placed to destination.
You don’t need to spend your time to update your system or install some applications that some programs require. This is the responsibility of your server.
If you need a program which is not produced to work on this operation system, by clicking the program to start it automatically runs by virtualizing.
Think about a problem; you do not have an internet connection. Do not the computer work? Yes it works. Like the internet explorers, it automatically saves your mostly used applications, and files to local computer and it helps you work. Moreover,having an ability to working offline provides a little more speed.
Abandoning the routines is not an easy thing. I mean giving up windows. So there can be an opportunity that using it as a website like YouOS, or a computer program for Windows/Mac to take these advantages. Moreover it can be good to have an option on office applications to save the file to this computer account by entering user ID information.
A very important other thing is to provide its people’s rights, all governments must have their own servers.

Today it does not seem that internet connection speed is so fast to progress this easily, but it seems that in the future it will be. And this idea seems good to be operated.

2.5 Saat

Decoration has a place in our life. If you watch tv advertisements, you can realise this. Nearly 20% of the advertisements is about decoration. I thought, I can add something, and designed this;

I clock consisted of two parts. I named it 2.5 saat (clock/hour). I want to tell it by using bullets:

It is a clock whose place to show what time is it is an electronic screen, and created to be placed on any wardrobe’s both covers.
You do not need to close covers to learn time. When covers are opened the display on the screens changes automatically.
You can ask how to adjust them with same minutes and seconds. When one of them adjusted and the covers are closed, it adjust other. (This can be performed by using IR leds.)
In order not to make it a boring clock, by using its screen display to select a display type can be better. (For example offering user to prefer using a 24 hour-circle)
Adjustable background wallpapers can be interesting. Furthermore it can show condition of the sun.
For dark places, it must have background lightning.
I think it can be good to use gadgets showing the forecast, moon’s shape, traffic report, stock market.

Transporting Firm

In long journeys which you had to change vehicles there can be some problems. I thought firm that provides tickets and pays attention on your journey in order to solve these problems, and provide a good traveling.

Only one thing you have to do is telling where you want to go and where do you want to go. Then, the firm arrange your travel (chose the travelling firms and buy the tickets which you agree). After that, you will start travel by this plan.

I dont want to say; this firm only carry me where I want. In order to give a better service, providing a hotel can be in service list of this firm. To describe the basis of this firm:

It will not make you spend time to reach many traveling firms, and to buy tickets. It will done everything, and report you.
It will arrange your journey by thinking of forecast.
If your plane is delayed, the firm will change your tickets which you will use after flying before your plane landing.
Because of working with the firms which they have known well, the firm will provide you a safe tarvelling, and a good service.
By paying to only one firm, you will be serviced by many firms with using an id number that the firm have given you or with using your name.
Also you have bought ticket, the firm will continue to inform you about the journey until you reach your destination.
If there is an important chancing, the firm will inform you by calling, sending sms, or sending e-mail.
If you want, the firm will provide a hotel for you.
The firm will arrange your travel by selects of you about the firms which you will use, and hotel which you will stay.
If you want, it will inform you about where you will go in order to prevent culture shock.

If the firm wants a suitable price for these services, we have a new type of a firm.

Monitoring Cars with RFIDs

While the number of the cars increasing day by day, the problems caused by these cars are increasing too. The most important problems of these are; not obeying the rules, using stolen cars, and driving defective cars. Also we can add cars’ being cannot monitored; moreover, this is the leading cause to others. If we monitor cars, we will be able to decrease these problems.

How can we monitor the cars? We can monitor cars by changing car licence system with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification). Furthermore, we can use RFIDs to find out the cars’ technical problems, or to learn whether it is driven faster then the limits. Monitoring places will be the entrance of bridges, tunnels, police cars which has computers(most of them have), and supermarkets.

Some of the advantages that system provides:

While the car is going near of a police car, the polices can access all of the information about the car.
Also the police is not controlling the computer, if there is a stolen car the computer automatically alarm the police.
If there is a problem in a bridge or a tunnel, how many and which cars are inside there can be known.
Only for cars owned by companies, monitoring system can be exist in order to help these companies to monitor heir cars.
A car seeking by police can be found easily by reaching the information about where did it seen last.
For automatic entrance systems without using a new component on the car, only with adding this car’s information to systems, the cars can be member of the system.

I can’t say all of the piracy will end. These can be hacked too. But cost of making a paper licence and these device can’t be same. Furthermore, a fake RFID is not expected to work perfectly so if a car is being driven with a broken RFID or a fake, it will automatically monitored. This dissuade people working on these things.
