2011,in music(al) sense,I could safely said that it's the year of the comebacks of the renowned and the established.Under my radar,well yea,I noticed the charts were also dominated by newcomers as well,but then,I was somehow not as excitedly anticipating it (although I do sing-a-long to it most of the time).

Not to say that the vibe or quality is up to the par (if not,these songs won't be at the number 1 spot,right?)...it's just that,I don't want to get to the thoughts where the next single/masterpiece is not as good as their first hit.

Ah,if you notice,there are quite of handful of Korean albums in this list compared to last year.If you're wondering why,the shortlisted ones passed the 'feel good factor' by me,which means these albums are so worth it to be enjoyed as a whole.Yup,all-Angela-approved.

Within Temptation The Unforgiving - For this album,I would say it's not as much as symphonical rock as their previous' "The Silent Force" or "The Heart Of Everything".By what my ears had perceived,it seems like they have 'toned down' a lil bit? But then,Sharon den Adel is still as amazing.

Nightwish Imaginaerum (Deluxe Bonus Edition) - I just love the way Imaginaerum flows..just like those graphics in the CD booklet.While I have this album playing in the background,my mind somehow remembered on the scenes of Hidden Object games I used to play (epsecially The Puppetshow series)...haha,maybe it's just me.The last track of this album (or should I say,a poetry?) has a deep,profound meaning.Yup,it's a bonus edition as well because there's instrumental version to all of the tracks.

Britney Spears Femme Fatale (Deluxe Edition) - Hey,hey..I got a copy of this album.To be honest,I didn't keep up with her,musically,since her self-titled third,"Britney".As for this album,Femme Fatale is a upbeat,club-by kind of pop.Well,I guess you can tell it by her hit singles.And you must be thinking why this album is in this list? The recommended songs below are my faves are the 'kind' of Britney that I used to listen back then.

Evanescence Evanescence (Deluxe Edition) - Yay,they're back! As I type this,I remembered that 3/4 of the former member of Evanescence released their debut with a new frontwoman last year,and as for this year,the remaining of Evanescence made a comeback.How ironic...Anyways,my two cents worth on this,well,I would say this album is more emphasize on guitar riffs than the vibe of 'gothic choir'.Does it mean that Evanescence had divert their musical direction,you might ask? Not exactly.

jealkb Invade - I get to know this band thru the 3-part series of a futsal match with Alice Nine.It was seriously hilarious and there's an explanation to it.Well,they're actually comedians! Yes,they're the funnymen in the day,but they're the talented,albeit serious,muscians (in the night).If you want to sample any of their earliest masterpieces,I would recommend the song "La Vie En Rose",taken from their album Noroshi (2008).

Nick Carter I'm Taking Off (Deluxe Version) - He made a comeback as well! How surprising.As for this one,it's catchy and upbeat compared to his debut,which was more to pop-rock.Speaking of which,it reminds me of an old friend of mine during primary school,and she's a die-hard fan of Nick.I hope she reads this post cos I dunno...as the last time I catching up with her,I found out that she's into alternative rock music,so yeah.And to you all fangirls (and fanboys,heh) circa Backstreet Boys era,get this album.

Dev The Night The Sun Came Up - It is clearly obvious that I was mesmerized by her voice in that highly-infectious "Like A G6".Simply put,her voice is subtly sexy,yet unpretentious,well suited to any upbeat catchy track.Besides that,I got addicted to "In The Dark" so very much.

2PM Hands Up - Their second album,just like their debut,1:59PM (2009) is just as good.It is something that I'd really appreciate because,usually,some singers/bands that were so successful with their debut,turned out to be kinda sucked with their second,third,or (insert any number here) album/single.This doesn't happen with 2PM so far.Paired with cool dance moves to each of their singles..get 2PM under your radar.

the GazettE TOXIC - All hail the GazettE! If you haven't get their DIM (2009) album,go get 'em now.This is their first album with a major record company.So,TOXIC is not as 'gothic' as DIM per se,but overall,it is accentuated on the intese-ness of the drum part,for example,their single "SHIVER" (which also chosen as the first opening theme for Kuroshitsuji 2).

Oneway Rainy Days - Yup,this is their first full-length album.A continuition from their first mini-album,One Way Street (2010),the style and genre are pretty much the same.What so cool about this album is that,the awesomeness of the intro,"The Forecast".It's full of energy and it oozes some kind of a swag,which it shows how enthusiastic (and talented) they are.

Rihanna Talk The Talk (Deluxe Edition) Finally,I have waited for this.You see,I just want to get over with Loud (2010) as fast as I can,in which,well,the previous album didn't enticed me that much.As for Talk The Talk,mostly infused with catchy,club-by upbeat vibes.Plus,I would say this album is quite 'explicit' as a whole,compared to "S&M" or "Rated R".

Memorable 2011: From Japan to Paris with love,in 19th century.

Sorry for the corny title.I was somewhat lacking of idea for a catchy one for my first ever post on anime review! Well,actually,I didn' expect to have this anime on my watching list,but after I've done watching 'em,I guess this anime was worth to be talked about and I know some of you will like it too. :)

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée was released in July 2011,and created by Hinata Takeda.Judging from the overall atmosphere of this anime,I would say that this creator has a deep interest in 19th century history and both Japanese and French culture.

Just relax,sit back and enjoy the journey to Paris,circa 19th century.

What is the title of this anime,Angela? Ikoku Meiro no Croisée.

What is the story mainly about,Angela? A young Japanese girl who was brought to Paris to work as a store assistant of Enseignes du Roy,which located at Galerie du Roy (which reminds me of our very own Central Market in Kuala Lumpur).

Overall,we will see how this girl trying to adpat her life with a new culture,a new environment.Basically,that's it.

How many episodes are there in this anime,Angela? Only 12!

Which character I will see the most throughout this anime,Angela?

Yune

Perfectly fits the 'cute things comes in small packages' analogy.Isn't she adorable? Some of the reviews that I've encountered stated that she's 13,with a physical appearance of an 8 year-old.Well,if that's the case,there's a logic to it,Europeans are slightly larger-build than the Asians...anyway.

Yune,to me,is a innocent,sometimes guilible and yet respects tradition and promises.And she loves cats so much.

Claude

The current owner of Enseignes du Roy.He's some kind of a 19th century's-sensitive-guy.He would sometimes blurting out harsh words to Yune (no,he ain't swearing),but at the end of the day,he would feel guilty and try make amends with her.

Oscar

Claude's grandad.He's the wise,fun-loving,loves travelling old fella.He is skilled in magic and loves to wine and dine women in his spare time.I was thinking the reason Yune,the 'Poster Girl of Nagasaki' (as he claims that) was brought to Paris is to be the Maneki Neko (good luck charm) of Enseignes du Roy.Or probably Yune herself wants to go there..oh well.

Meet the 19th century otaku! Well,she comes from a rich family and loves everything Japanese.How is her level of otaku-ness,you might ask? Take a look at the screen shot below.Apparently,she loves Yune so much and they become good friends.She's slightly loud,but she's acting her age.Haha.

If this is the posession of a 19th century otaku,I'd rather live in the 21st century.Haha.

Alice's older sister.She's the soft-spoken,loving lady.Due to the society's expectation of the ladies from high-class families during the old days,from my perspective,she had this responsibility for maintaining her demure image.

If you're looking for a laid-back,simple plot,then this anime is for you.What I like about Ikoku Meiro no Croisée is that,there's no such as overload romance issues here.If you're expecting something to happen between Claude and Yune,I'm deeply sorry.Bascially,Claude treats Yune just like his little sister.

It also teaches us to respect and learn about other people from different cultures.Well,if you think the world only revolves around you,the love of your life and your prized possesions,well,good for you.Go ahead and make your own island.I hope you'll live happily ever after. :P

Yup,for the past a couple of months,I was on an adventure on other blogging service,Tumblr that is.And in conjunction with my 1000th posts on Tumblr,I would like share with you my thoughts throughout these experiences.

From words to pictures

Let's see...first thing I noticed is that,most of my online friends had migrated to Tumblr after they've been mingling with words on a conventional platform,for example Blogger.I could see how this method's really tempting,since you've just basically expressing and sharing your thoughts out there with pictures.Lots and lots of pictures.

And,if you're the person who is really proud of your fandom,then Tumblr is for you! Really,I mean it.Like,you can dedicate your whole tumblog to one particular genre of fandom,or you're just be yourself by mixing it up,like most of the bloggers over there.

F**k Yeah!

Apart from that,another distinctive characteristics on Tumblr compared to other platform is the naming usage of any fandom tumblogs.The usual one is "F*ck Yeah (insert fandom here)".I used to remember some time ago,a friend of mine used to tweeted about it.From her tweet,she's wondering why some of the fandom tumblogs' name began with "F*ck Yeah".

That time,I wasn't sure wether she was joking or not,and I didn't even asked her for confirmation as well.Haha.For Tumblr newbies and my dear readers who want the answer,well,from my point of view,it is so-named to mark the differences between other (platform) community blogs.There you go.

Believe it or not,Tumblr and their blogger has their own culture,which to me,is cool.All fandom-based and using GIFs won't hurt,too.

The downside of quirks

Other Tumblr blogger quirks that I've encountered (and yet to comprehend) so far,are the font sizes for text posts that was waaaaay below the normality of 10-11-12 pixels.Okay,okay,I know browsers had the zoom fuctions...but why,really? Owh,another one.Pictures in marquee.It's such a turn-off that these bloggers thought that these shiite is cool.

So,am I gonna continue reblogging after the 1000th? No actually.I guess it's best to leave it as is,purely for sentimental value.You're always welcomed to browse through my tumblog.Yup,only in 67 pages,guilt-free. :)

Besides that,I'm going to focus on Tumblr themes,as probably by next year,there will be at least,2 new themes will be released.Woah,did I just spill out the news,huh? Heheh.

I started following Kingsley sometime around last year.The first ever video that I've watched was "Things I Hate".

And from there,I was amazed by him because whatever he said in that video is basically what's on my mind too!

The humor doesn't end there.Since he so damn funny & I couldn't get enough of it,I subscribed to his YouTube channel and downloaded most of his videos so that I could watch 'em over and over again.Including on the weekends.

..the ultimate proof where his humor are contagious to my daily lives is when I also followed him,on Twitter.On top of that,my sis and I would use some of his lines in our conversation.Very practical indeed.Oh yes,many scenes from his videos are quite useful to be transformed on GIFs as well..to be used on Tumblr.

I was on my way home on a fine evening.And that time I'm using the bus because a)the route to the bus stop is much nearer, b)it is

slightly practical,money-wise and c)I'm the only one living in that area (destination).

That day,I was really physically tired and extremely mentally-exhausted.Under that condition,I should have allow myself to get

some rest in the bus,right? Nooooo...I didn't do that. Although,the bus wasn't that crowded either. I could have 'snuggle' into

any of the seats and have have (power) nap on the way home,right? Nooooo...I didn't do that too.

Instead,I decided to stand up (while gripping tight to the pole) throughout the journey,because I'm afraid that I might so caught

up in my sleep and probably missed out.So yeah.

Believe it or not,for the next 20 to 30 minutes,I was subconsciously sleeping while I was standing.Yeah,seeing the traffic jam

from the bus window was so damn boring.I think the other passengers might noticed my peculiarity too.They must have like,"Why is

this ('drunken') nerd standing like this for?"

Embarassing,yes.Very lucky,absolutely.I was lucky that I didn't tripped over or rolling on the floor and fall out from the bus or

something.Yup,I've arrived home safely and back in one piece.

There you go,the once-in-a-blue-moon things that I've ever done.I laugh at myself when I think about it.

First and foremost,these graphics are not made by me.It's just a personal collection,where I obtain them from Tumblr.I could say that 2011 is the year for extensive saving/collecting GIF-formatted graphics...I think it somewhat become a weird obsession,haha.

All in all,below are some of my favorite GIFs (from my collection).I did used some of them in my reblogged posts,and some of them just tak sempat to be used.And,kudos to these (original) makers..thank you so much for bringing the flat-out image to a sequence(s) of life emotions.

Donuts in a dozen are so stylish,isn't it? I mean,kudos to the baker for their creative inputs on making these pastries so colorful,or else..it's just a plain,ring-shaped dough.

Well,back in those days,I'd enjoy eating them coated with sugar.

If there's a day when you & I would having a box of donuts (of any brand),my favorite 'toppings' would be the ones smothered with chocolates (preferably),and on top of that,sprinkled with chunky-little-pieces-of-nuts.

Okay,I don't know what is the specific name for that kind of topping..but yeah,just so you know.

It's kinda funny because back in 2008,one of my Christmas' wishlist was this:

And now,in 2011..I was like,"Wow,thanks Santa!" I thought it was slightly impossible,really,at some point,I might think it won't ever happened at all.Pronto.

And yeah,I was overjoyed.Although Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez wasn't tagging along,and Kenny Dalglish was briefly here as well..it was beyond words for me to describe it..wow,finally,ya know,finally!

What makes it even cooler for this friendly match is that,Safee Sali's scored 2 goals.Owh,Safiq Rahim's style of scoring.Damn epic.

Yeah,you must be wondering what I have been up to lately.As you can see down there,I was pretty much enjoying myself with these releases.And,somehow,looks like the year 2011 is packed with lots of good movies.I am also looking forward for most of the upcoming one (as well as for the next-year's release).

Yup,these reviews are not the ones I usually done.You see,I figured out that I don't want to spoil the fun,heheh.

The Tourist (December 2010)

Angela says: Seriously,if you've been brainwashed by so-called bad reviews on this movie,now it's time to change your mind.
Angelina says: The way Frank Putello runs,is just the same as when Captain Jack Sparrow runs.

Fast And Furious 5 a.k.a Fast 5 (April 2011)

Angelina says: Best part of it: The way they stole the gigantic safety box. Not-so-best part: Any lovey-dovey scenes involving Mia (Jordana Brewster) & Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). Quite-sad part of it: Luke Hobbs' (Dwayne Johnson) team kena bommed. Funny part: Any scene involving Roman Pearce (Tyrese). Amusing part of it: Gisele Harabo (Gal Gadot) that looks so weird in her bikini.

Priest (May 2011)

Angela says: Ass-kicking fighting scene!
Angelina says: The fighting scenes involving between the Priest and the vampires.And Paul Bettany's blue eyes.AND the fact that this movie doesn't include eccessive lovey-dovey stuff.

It's about undying devotion again,but this time,it's from a woman's point of view.

Ya know what,from now on,I would stop contemplating on who you are in the blogosphere,what you do for a living (in the real world),and calculating the probability of you and I within the range of a six-degree separation .Yeah,back then,the value(s) of numbers used to be my priority during the early years of blogging.Now,I realized,it's the other way around.

Thank you for putting up with my thoughts in each and every post in this blog,my (once in a blue moon) wackiness,and obviously,the frequencies of the blog updates.

I was thinking,how would you feel if I decided to change the 'direction' of my blog? Like,if I have decided to occupy about 90% of the blog content on pictures of me in various of poses and clothing?
