Best Practices–Monitoring the Patient

To understand why we’ve designed the Angel of Water CM-1 the way we did, you would have to
understand the legal and regulatory history behind professional colonics. Colon hydrotherapy is the
process of administering an irrigation to the colon by a professional trained in the field. One of the
concerns of medical interests who have opposed colonics is the unsupervised administration of the
irrigation process to the patient. Have you ever wondered why enema bags hold so little water? They
are purposefully limiting. A person is required to fill a bag over and over again if they want more water
and this naturally limits a person’s ability to overdo self-irrigation.

A professional colonic is supposed to be administered by a trained healthcare practitioner and is subject
to that professional’s discretion and adherence to delimiting factors. The standard time period for a
professional colonic is 30 to 40 minutes. Moreover, the device is purposely designed to engage the
therapist to continuously monitor the client.

A colonic system could be designed to automatically refill and keep the water at the perfect temperature,
but such a design would lend itself to practitioners leaving clients unsupervised and thus breaking the
most important rule of professionally administered colonics – the professional must be with the client
making decisions for the exact length of the session. Sessions should be monitored for both time and
quantity of water used. If the practitioner cannot see how much water has been taken, how can they tell
how the client is really doing? By watching how much water a client uses, a practitioner discerns how
they are taking and expelling water, how strong the colon’s motility is, and what the natural limitation to
the length/water volume of a session should be for a successful irrigation to occur.

Training trip to Ti Sana Spa near Milan, Italy and to Alternative Angels, Leeds, UK

Rocco Bruno recently traveled to Ti Sana Spa in Arlate, Italy to train owners Rosa and Erica D’Angelo and Dr. Rosella Iantorno and staff on the operation of two new Angel of Water units for their medical detox spa. Ti Sana is a 4-star luxury resort and full service spa with 23 rooms and suites, set in a beautifully renovated, 300-year-old building in the pre-Alps near the river Addo. See two videos to take a mini – tour of the spa facilities. Robert O. Young, author of The pH Miracle and the pH Living approach to health, recently visited and booked a retreat event at Ti Sana. He is pictured here with Erica D’Angelo (owner and director) in front of one of the Angel of Water units. Rocco also stopped in Leeds, UK, on the way back from Italy to visit Diane Sims, owner of Alternative Angels and her beautiful facility is also pictured here. Diane is an I-ACT instructor and trains colon hydrotherapists on the Angel of Water in her clinic.

We invite you to check out the new video we’ve put up on the Angel of Water CM1 facebook page. In it, Dr. Y.M. Yong, MD, of Singapore responds to his experience with the Angel of Water CM-1 colon irrigation device. Dr. Yong has been utilizing colon hydrotherapy with patients in private practice in Singapore for about 20 years, but until this point had not had experience with administering sessions on the so-called “open system” equipment , into which category the Angel of Water falls, due to its open basin design.

Dr. Yong is Lifestream’s authorized trainer for the Taiwan market.

Cherubum products re-launch and TechWIKI launch

The lavage chair is a revolutionary platform and can be used with accompanying enema supplies with an existing toilet/plumbing in someone’s home to facilitate colon cleansing–that is, the irrigation of the lower colon.

Another new feature we’ve now put on www.angelofwater.com is the TechWIKI. Here we have assembled for your convenience a set of repair and replacement protocols that addresses and answers many of the technical questions we receive. For consistency of terminology, we refer you to your AOW CM-1 User’s Guide, which describes each feature of the device in standardized fashion.

Remember, here’s how a WIKI works: WIKI is a web-based cross-referencing tool. Under each section heading offered here for a given fix-it or corrective action, you can link to other pages on the web that provide relevant information that might help you. For example, if our protocol calls for a crescent wrench, you can link to the definition of, yes indeed, a crescent wrench. Design Changes for the 2011 Angel of Water Surround

Rocco Bruno, Designer and Founder, is at it again. The Angel of Water, already the world’s premier colon hydrotherapy system, is undergoing design changes to improve aesthetics and efficiencies. The new systems will begin shipping in October of 2010. Rocco says, “I am really excited about the new design changes we’ve made. Our desire to keep improving the Angel of Water never ceases. The new functional improvements will be much appreciated by the therapist. As for the new look, clients will welcome the elegance of Angel of Water, which will enhance their experience.

The new design changes include:

The Angel will now be constructed with a closed-mold process, meaning structurally the cabinets will be stronger.
The Angel will now have new recessed doors.
The Angel will now utilize new trim-line hinges on all doors.
The View Tube Sump will now have a drain hole, that will not be visible. The basin pan will have a separated compartment to accommodate any water overflow while protecting stored supplies.
There will now be a toe-kick on the basin cabinet.
Valves 1 and 2 will be mounted on an open-faced panel and be fitted out with trim kits like the basin top-side valves.

Bastyr University To Offer Colon Hydrotherapy Training and the Angel of Water

Taiwanese Registration underway for Angel of Water

Lifestream Purification Systems has partnered with a doctor-affiliated Taiwanese business group to register the Angel of Water in Taiwan. Despite the complexities of the registration process Lifestream hopes to begin shipping Angel of Water units to Taiwan in 2011. Taiwan has shown a strong interest in colon hydrotherapy and specifically the Angel of Water.

General Manager, Amy Heilman Bruno says “We’re excited to partner with T&T Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. The Angel of Water will be the very first professional colon hydrotherapy unit cleared through the Taiwan Ministry of Health.”
