On any given day, when hanging out with one of my best friends, you’re likely to hear her say “I’m going to put you in a box!”, followed by my naturally sarcastic response of “There is no box to put me in!”

You see, she’s not nearly as optimistic about life as I am.  Which is why when I start talking about all of the amazing things I plan on doing in my future she worries that they wont happen, and will leave me disappointed  So her idea to protect me from failure is for me to stay inside the box.

Unfortunately for her, I don’t like enclosed spaces! Therefore my natural response will pretty much always be to think outside the box.

Having come from parents who also lived by the motto think outside the box, I don’t think I could live any other way. They always traveled their own paths, and taught my brothers and I to do the same.

Youtube is at it again! They’ve once again changed up the layout and design of the channels, and have dubbed it “One Channel”.

I’m sure some people will love it and some will hate it as usual, but it’s coming whether we like it or not. So check out the video below to learn more.

First Impressions:

One of the new features of the new layout is the ability to have a special trailer like video for those who aren’t yet subscribed to your channel. This is a neat feature that can help you generate more subscribers and lets you be a bit more creative with your channel presentation.

Cross Platform Uniformity:

One thing that has always been a bit strange is how different the layouts looked on different platforms. So now everything will scale nicely whether it’s viewed on a desktop or mobile device.

Every Channel Is Unique:

They’ve added in a lot of functionality as far as creating playlists and having control over what content to show where. They’ve also allowed everyone to have a banner at the top of their channel, where this used to be only reserved for partners. Though this has some people wondering what’s the point of being partner anymore!
