I know I am a little late wishing everyone a happy new year, but the past few months have been incredibly busy - I can be forgiven yes :3?<br />
<br />
First thing first, I would like to introduce the new exec committee of 2013:<br />
<br />
President - Naomi Truong<br />
Vice President - Scott Lonick<br />
Secretary - Andrew Mercer<br />
Treasurer - Miki De Paolis<br />
<br />
Congratulations to everyone! And thank you everyone for voting.<br />
<br />
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the previous committee members. 2012 was a tough year to run. With the new guild regulations &#x26; with all the changing between the old and new; basically we were all thrown in the deep end of the pool.<br />
<br />
But our President, Karina Bowater and our Advisor, Cameron Duce, kept their head high and did a fantastic job at running the club, despite hard times. <br />
<br />
So thank you Karina &#x26; Cameron. We wouldn't have survived without you.<br />
<br />
Now on to the good stuff! There is alot of things we have planned for you in 2013 <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" />! There will be a special mystery event (oooh~~~), gaming events (yeah!), panels and of course - plenty of screenings. And this is what we have in store for semester 1 only!<br />

So I will announce our first event after Wai-con <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" /><br />

Welcome to Anicu 2012.<br />

I would like to thank everyone who came to our table on O-day. It was so good to see many new faces (and many old faces) sign up for anicu <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" />! We hope that you enjoy your time at the club this year and that you attend all the great events coming up.<br />

Like the awesome assassin event that is coming up soon.<br />
<br />
Yes that’s right, we are doing assassins again. The last assassin event went so well that we just had to do it again! The dates and the rules will be confirmed at a later date but if you join, you can expect to run around campus like idiots shooting each other with nerf guns <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><br />
[Well i don't know about you but running around and shooting people with nerf guns is just a normal day for me&#93;<br />
<br />
Other events that will happen this year is the screening event and a tav event (Thats right a tav event, where drinks and food is on us!)<br />
<br />
Now these are our main events but they aren’t the only things that will occur.<br />
<br />
Rumours have it that the committee members will hold small events such as gaming tournaments throughout the year at the humanity common room.<br />
<br />
Why in the humanity common room you ask? Well that is where we hang out!<br />
<br />
Anicu will be hanging out at the humanity common room (Building 209, Room 224) during 9am-5pm every Tuesdays (Obviously starting week 2!)<br />
[We will be the geeks hanging around the tv watching the anime <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" />&#93;<br />
<br />
But don't think we only just watch anime. Going to the common room during Tuesday is a good way to meet other anime fans (because we are such a small number we must stick together!). It is just a place where we all get together once a week to just socialize and have fun.<br />
<br />
So i highly recommend you come say hi! There will always be a committee member in the room and we are all a chatty bunch (or maybe its just me that the chatty one)<br />

			<description><![CDATA[If you haven't heard, we have been having problems with the screening room; the guild president changed, they screwed shit up, and gave our usual room away. We have been trying to book a new room, but our emails haven't been responded to, as of yet. <br />

We haven't been given the room yet but because we're so behind on screenings we're going to try to take over Ken Hall for screenings today. So meet us there at the usual time - 12-2pm. This semester we're finishing Durarara!!! and starting Tatami Galaxy. We're going to back to back episodes for a few weeks (no third anime series or trailer) to catch up.]]></description>

It’s that time of year again, almost the end, lame exam study, rushing assignments when you could be watching anime but cant because of your future. But either way I hope your all studying hard and wish you all the best for exams and assignments. We have an amazing event coming up, to end the university year with a bang! Call it what you will but just for I’m going to call it the ‘Super Special Awesome Event’!<br />
The coolest... thing is ITS AFTER EXAMS AND ITS FREE! Here are the details and what we have in stall for you all .<br />
<br />
LOCATION: Haydn Williams Lecture theatre (405.201)<br />
<br />
Date: Tuesday 30th Nov 2010<br />
<br />
Time: 12:30 to 9pm<br />
<br />
12:30pm to 5pm - Assassins and Onigokko Tag games (lunch at 2:30pm)<br />
5-7pm break and dinner (pizza run will be done)<br />
7-9pm Screen 'Unlimited Blade Works' – Fate stay night OVA<br />
<br />
Assassins Rules<br />
<br />
- People are given 2 targets and told exactly who they are and how they who like.<br />
- Once told they then must scatter (within boundaries of the game of course) somewhere.<br />
- All kills will be reported, even when killing in self defence to the table<br />
- Game will be monitored by committee members of AniCu that arent participating (if necessary)<br />
- There will be a lunch break in between<br />
- Game will have a time limit and certain boundaries.<br />
- Weapons allowed include - nerf guns, melee weapons (that dont actually cause harm like plastic spoons, forks, pens, inflatable stuff), sock bombs, etc (will be updated later), and possibly water guns since its summer at the moment.<br />
- System will be points per kill (more points for melee weapons).<br />
- Players must bring their own weapon, however noob weapons may be provided.<br />
- Once they kill those 2 targets, they must kill any 2 guild leaders (committee), then kill the president (me <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Tongue" title="Tongue" />).<br />
<br />
Everything will be explained on the day anyway, we have made it much more simpler than our last assassins event, learning from it and making it just as awesome <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" />.<br />

- Committee will be Onis (oni masks) and one else who wants to<br />
- Boundaries will be set and told<br />
- Game will be 30 minutes<br />
- Prizes will be based on most games survived/ most time survived overall<br />
- People playing are designated by a pink fabric/headband<br />
- When people are caught, they lose their pink fabric, ribbon<br />
- There will be a final game, where the people who won the game/s will be the onis and committee participate into the game, or people take turns.<br />
<br />
Pizza orders will then be done and break, and followed by the screening, might screen a 30 min OVA too, if we have time before the movie. There will also be popcorn!<br />
<br />

BEST PART IS ITS ALL FREE!! Unless your not a member of AniCu or an Associate, then its &#36;2 but hey still pretty cheap <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />. So come by, enjoy yourselves and have a blast!<br />

It’s that time of year again, almost the end, lame exam study, rushing assignments when you could be watching anime but cant because of your future. But either way I hope your all studying hard and wish you all the best for exams and assignments. We have an amazing event coming up, to end the university year with a bang! Call it what you will but just for I’m going to call it the ‘Super Special Awesome Event’!<br />
The coolest... thing is ITS AFTER EXAMS AND ITS FREE! Here are the details and what we have in stall for you all .<br />

LOCATION: Haydn Williams Lecture theatre (405.201)<br />
<br />
Date: Tuesday 30th Nov 2010<br />

Time: 12:30 to 9pm<br />
<br />
12:30pm to 5pm - Assassins and Onigokko Tag games (lunch at 2:30pm)<br />
5-7pm break and dinner (pizza run will be done)<br />
7-9pm Screen 'Unlimited Blade Works' – Fate stay night OVA<br />
<br />
Assassins Rules<br />
<br />
- People are given 2 targets and told exactly who they are and how they who like.<br />
- Once told they then must scatter (within boundaries of the game of course) somewhere.<br />
- All kills will be reported, even when killing in self defence to the table<br />
- Game will be monitored by committee members of AniCu that arent participating (if necessary)<br />
- There will be a lunch break in between<br />
- Game will have a time limit and certain boundaries.<br />
- Weapons allowed include - nerf guns, melee weapons (that dont actually cause harm like plastic spoons, forks, pens, inflatable stuff), sock bombs, etc (will be updated later), and possibly water guns since its summer at the moment.<br />
- System will be points per kill (more points for melee weapons).<br />
- Players must bring their own weapon, however noob weapons may be provided.<br />
- Once they kill those 2 targets, they must kill any 2 guild leaders (committee), then kill the president (me <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Tongue" title="Tongue" />).<br />

Everything will be explained on the day anyway, we have made it much more simpler than our last assassins event, learning from it and making it just as awesome <img src="http://board.anicu.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Big Grin" title="Big Grin" />.<br />

- Boundaries will be set and told<br />
- Game will be 30 minutes<br />
- Prizes will be based on most games survived/ most time survived overall<br />
- People playing are designated by a pink fabric/headband<br />
- When people are caught, they lose their pink fabric, ribbon<br />
- There will be a final game, where the people who won the game/s will be the onis and committee participate into the game, or people take turns.<br />

Pizza orders will then be done and break, and followed by the screening, might screen a 30 min OVA too, if we have time before the movie. There will also be popcorn!<br />

BEST PART IS ITS ALL FREE!! Anyways coming up at the end of semester during our last Wednesday CFT screening is our Annual General Meeting (AGM), one of the most interesting of events, where you enjoy anime, free lunch, maybe even free pocky and hello panda, and the surprising climaxes of people running for those various executive positions including President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as the fun of the OCMs (ordinary committee members) being chosen, and the best part is that the execs are all dependent on your vote!<br />
So come by and for those wanting to sign up for AniCu OCM or executive committee, just fill out the form attached and email, or give it in person on Tuesdays by 31/10/2010. Attached is also the various roles of each executive committee member as well as an OCM.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[Hey guys, it’s time for our 4th event! A game of “Assassins” will be held during the tute free week on the 1st of September. If you're not sure what Assassins is, it is a popular live action game where players try to eliminate each other from the game using mock weapons in an effort to become the last surviving player. For more information you can check here: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin_(game)." target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin_(game).</a> Please give it a read so you'll get an idea of what the game is like. It's not exactly the same though, we've made some modifications to suit our needs.<br />

Date: 1st September 2010, Wednesday<br />
Time: 10:30am - 4pm<br />
Venue: Outside Haydn Williams Lecture Theater (Building 405)<br />

GENERAL RULES:<br />
- The game will be held over a day.<br />
- It will have a time limit and boundaries will be set on the day.<br />
- Each player will have to email some personal details ( Curtin Student ID, mobile number, name, picture, weapon/s of choice) BEFORE the day of the event.<br />
- An ID card or a badge with the player's photo and a unique number on a poker chip will be used for identity and game purposes.<br />
- Weapons must be provided by each player. These may include spoons, water guns, plastic materials, nerf guns, , rubber animals, other harmless traps, inflatable items and pretty much anything else as long as it is NOT CAPABLE OF CAUSING PHYSICAL HARM!<br />
- You will be assigned a random target on the day.<br />

GAMEPLAY RULES:<br />
- Players will be rewarded “game money” for successful kills.<br />
- The game money can be used to buy clues and other stuff.<br />
- Players will be informed of what and where the Safe Zones (Areas where kills cannot be made) are.<br />
- Clue cards/mission cards will be scattered around campus within the designated playing area for players to exchange for clues at "the desk".<br />
- Phones, email and/or a dedicated website will be used for communication between players and moderators.<br />
- Players will be able to loot their kills. (Target's poker chip, details, etc.)<br />
- Points given will be based on how players achieved their kill(s). (ie. A melee kill will give you more points than a ranged kill)<br />
- Players will be split into 3 groups, named “Guilds” in the game. <br />

Our next event which is just around the corner is our annual AniGames! dated for the 3rd of July Saturday, 10:30 am to around 8-9pm, located at the Christ Church Grammar School, L Block, Queenslea drive, Claremont (very close to UWA).<br />

An event organised and held by every anime club in Perth! Including PaNic, UWAnime, Anilympics, POWA, JAFWA and of course ourselves . Download the attached poster for all the info and a map on the location. in case I miss anything here, also coz the poster is epic .<br />

Cost is &#36;5 for freeplay/spectators and &#36;10 for competitors. We have many gaming comps with amazing prizes to be won and freeplay instore for you all! Including:<br />
<br />
Super smash bros brawl (organised by yours truly ), Street fighter 4, Blaz blue, Mariokart Wii, Halo 3, Bomberman Live and Sonic Speed run! The times for the competitions are as follows.<br />
