I do not under any circumstance participate to the following things:

Forwarding of (chain) emails.

Answering the home phone.

The Apple madness. (Mac, iPod, iPhone, etc.)

The cellphone-with-newest-technology-madness.

Using internet via a cellphone.

Typing LyK3 tH1S.

Discarding grammar on message boards.

Crocs.

Ugg boots.

Forced family gatherings.

Tampons.

Thongs.

Walking mid-long distances.

Kissing people on the cheek as a way of greeting.

Skipping breakfast.

Dieting.

Making fun of people with a handicap or disability.

Manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments.

Worshipping IE.

What are some of the things that you won't simply do?

PS. Happy birthday, Melissa! I hope you have a awesome day with lovely presents and a yummy cake. I hope to see you again soon. :D

Decisions, decisions... [7]

So, there are two concerts on the June/July agenda which I would love to visit but unfortunately I can only choose one due to lack of money.

1. Bruce Springsteen
Pretty much my #1 favourite musician. The last time I saw him perform live was last year when he did the Magic Tour and it was the best concert I’ve ever been too. I mean, I actually danced the entire night! (I had arena tickets) Which is so unlike me cause I tend to be really uncomfortable, shy, tense and easily embarrassed in public. (I care way too much what other people may think of me) Anyway, I would LOVE to go to another concert of him cause I’m kind of missing that magical Bruce vibe.

2. Neil Young
My #3 favourite musician. (Bob Dylan is of course #2) I’ve never seen him live before and, unlike Bruce who seems to visit my country every year, he only comes here every, what? Four, five years?

The voices in my head are fighting with each other. (Okay, that sounds a bit mental xD) One is screaming “BRUCE!!!” but the other one says “Choose Neil, it’s the most logical choice.” It’s a though one to call. If only I had more money.

PS. Lets hope Bob Dylan doesn’t decide to tour as well around those dates. *knocks on wood*

Double PS. Gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, pap! (Waar is mijn zwembad? )

Spiders are out to get me [9]

I’ve been living in our new home in Lommel now for about three weeks. My parents and I recently moved from our home town in the Netherlands to a city in Belgium in case you didn’t know. I still haven’t seen much of Lommel though. So far I’ve only seen the two pet stores (Zoomart and Tom&Co), the sandwich shop next door, the small train station and the McDonalds. The weather has been quite nice the last few days and suddenly I get stalked by big spiders. I killed four of them already and my mom killed one as well in the bathroom. The first one I encountered was four days ago in the hallway, three days ago there was one in my bedroom and then two days ago there was another one in my bedroom and a few hours later there was another one in my bedroom. I took a picture of one of them ugly things. (they all looked similar to that one) Where do these things come from and more importantly, how dare thee walk into my room?!

My best mate, Melissa came over two weekends ago. We decided to go eat at my favourite restaurant, the McDonalds. We sure had some Harry Potter related fun on our bikes on the way over there. We were pretending we were Death Eaters, undercover in the Muggle world. While at the restaurant, eating our Big Mac’s, I noticed a little boy sitting backwards on his chair at the table next to us, sipping on a big Coke and glaring angry at me. I told Mel there was a kid glaring at me so she looked and he started to glare at her as well so we both busted out into laughter. I swear he sat there glaring at us for at least 20 minutes, all the while sipping on his Coke. The sight was fucking hilarious.

I’ve been looking for a job but it is harder than I thought. So far every job that catches my interest requires of you that you must be fluently in both Dutch and French. I don’t speak French and don’t have any intention to learn it. You know what I need? A car. So I can get a job in the Netherlands. At least there they only require of you that you speak fluently Dutch.

[edit]: New theme online because I missed having a fluid layout.

Dierenpret Houten [3]

Dierenpret Houten was fun. For those who don’t know what it is, Dierenpret (translation: Animal Fun) is a animal event that takes place three times a year in either Houten, Zwolle or Utrecht in the Netherlands. Dierenpret is divided into four categories, Rodents, Cats, Ferrets, and Reptiles. Basically on such a event you can buy toys and other sort of things for your pets, look at all the cats, guinea pigs and hamsters that are participating in contests, get information about certain animals, and at the rodents and reptiles sections you could buy animals as well. This event is pretty popular among people at Dutch animal/pet message boards, so the event also serves as a sort of safe forum meeting place.

Anyway, I went there with my mother. We had to take a bus, a train, another train, and a taxi (which we shared with two nice girls that are active on the Dutch rat forum) to get in Houten, and once we were at the place were the event was held, we had to stand in line for at least an hour before we could finally buy our tickets and go inside. Once inside we went straight to the rodent-section cause I was meeting up with some people of the Dutch hamster forum. After that we just basically looked around everywhere and I bought some things as well. At the end of the day I went home with three new hamsters and four big bags filled with goods for my hamsters and ferrets.

Here is a picture of some of the stuff I've bought:

By the way, I’ve finished my pets page. You will also find my three new hamsters (Moon, Lucius, and Severus) there.

Yes, I’m still alive

Yes, I suck a blogging but I’m making up for it by replacing my layout with a new one which features the three lovelies, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. Anyhow, I’ve been busy packing my stuff and helping my mom move boxes around. In a few days we’ll be moving to our new house in Belgium.

This whole moving thing sucks though. I hate packing! Not only that but my dad decided that it’s too much work to move my ferret “cage” to our new home. (it's actually a modified cupboard - picture) After some discussion he said that I should pick out a new cage from a online petstore that could deliver it to our new address and that he would pay for it. So I picked out the Ferplast Furet Tower. I actually wanted a Ferret Nation but they are like 300 bucks.

Sorry if this blog isn’t “long” but, ugh, I feel like shit. Since four days I have Pharyngitis and since yesterday I also have a runny nose and a fever. I really hope I feel better before next Sunday. (Next Sunday = Dierenpret Houten, a animal-event I plan to visit)
