the story revolves around Luke Fon Fabre, the son of a well known aristocrat. seven years ago he was kidnapped by the enemy Malkuth Empire and has lost all his memories before that time. Luke is a stuck up, spoiled jerk who nevertheless has prowess with a sword. he idolizes his master, a grand knight with unchallenged sword skill, Van. however, when a mysterious intruder appears in the mansion and attacks Van, Luke, in an effort to protect his master blocked the intruder's attack with his sword, activating the seventh fonon which teleports the two far away from the mansion. at first Luke's only concern was getting back home, but as he comes to learn about the real world outside the mansion, Luke is dragged into a series of events far beyond his mind. embarking on a quest with his friends which has apocalyptic consequences he struggles to learn the truth about the empire, his vanished master Van, and all the things about his past slowly start falling into their place...

I recall some time ago searching all over for drivers for the Sony Vaio VGN-C240E, and having a bit of a hard time getting all the drivers. That should be most if not all of the drivers for said laptop for the XP OS. There are persons who don't want Vista on their machine but can't find the XP drivers, and it seems to be a common issue with that model laptop. The link above has my compilation of drivers for the machine.

It's frustrating how some manufacturers don't have a driver matrix with the different OSes in mind. Some machines are made and ONLY Vista drivers are put out for that machine. Whatever happens if the client decides to downgrade? I guess that's where people like us come in to scour the net and find the different drivers for the machine........

Well, you know how it is. Sometimes you come across an issue, and talking to another tech helps to fix the issue. Here's a quick share on a problem and a fix.

I came across a problem on a friend's PC. He said that it just would not play any video. I had quickly installed CCCP and left it at that, since I didn't have time to test it. He told me some time later on that it still would not play any video - and that was really weird to me. So I did a bit of checking. Made settings changes to CCCP, tried VLC, tried KMPLAYER, tried MPC-HC, and still nothing. I even downloaded this little utility out of K-LITE in order to disable some of the functions of Windows' decoding abilities to see what happened. No results.

I came online and talked to N1 about it for a while, and after some juggling around there were three suggestions left - one of which I completely didn't think of.

Reinstall DIRECTX
Reinstall Graphics Drivers
Reinstall Windoze

Of those, I didn't think of the graphics driver - but looking at the issue it made sense. It wasn't really that there was no video, just that it was trying to render the video and it was all jumbled up on the screen. It kinda looked like it was trying to render the information multiple times. So here's what I did.

Checked the system for any other stuff that was installed that I thought not necessary, and removed them. An ATI Driver - it was a SIS 315 AGP card. DIVX - CCCP would work for whatever is dished out (except maybe RM and MOV until those are setup.....) and then rebooted. After testing and no improvement, I went on to reinstall DIRECTX. After no improvement, I got the latest driver for the graphics card, and installed them. I'm not sure where the installed driver had come from, but after installing the latest driver and rebooting, all was well. Either it was a default driver from Windows, or one from off a driver CD, but either the driver fixed it (most likely) or a combination of the driver and removing all the other stuff. But that's one for you to check on the next time something like that happens.

As you may have gathered from the title of this thread, I am trying to find a ringtone for my phone. I have been searching for about three months, finding absolutely nothing that is even remotely anime. The best thing I found was how to use Composer to make a cheap "instrumental" version of a song.

I even found a place that, I thought, would've provided me with my ringtone. Nope! Instead of the song I wanted, (which is the ending theme from Slayers: The Book of Spells), I got something from Brian McKnight!

In fact, my searching brought me here. I went to yahoo.com and typed up "Free download anime ringtone" and got this place as one of my first links.

Does anyone here know of a place that actually provides anime ringtones? That's not a bunch of BS? That will actually give me what I want?
