Hello, it’s time again for my 11 on 11 personal post. It has not been an easy month to commit to taking a ton of personal images but this project did push me to follow through on a couple different inspirations I had, and I was so glad I did! I ended up with at least 10 images I love and then that pesky self-portrait:) I hope you enjoy viewing my month my month (last months submissions are here!) I met up with this gorgeous couple on a chilly Sunday evening in March and sought to capture the momentous moment of their lives, just weeks before their little baby was due to arrive! So in love, gorgeous glowing mama-to-be-, I was in heaven! I loved this new location we tried and even found some hidden spots as well when I led us in the wrong direction–it all works out for the best! Loved the wind that evening, the connection of this stunning couple, and the landscape that was just sitting on the brink of Spring.

On the 11th of each month, my photographer friends and I post 11 of our favorite personal images from the month (the last being a self portrait). You can find last months submission here. I have many favorites from this month as we took our annual trip to Clearwater, Florida. We love it there so much. Amongst everything else that is fabulous and fun about family vacations–it is a chance for me to get shooting outdoors again…something I start reallllly missing about this time of year. Met up with this gorgeous couple on a snowy day in January. I had dreamt of a snowy maternity and how lucky we were to get a snowfall the day before our session! I loved the light that night, and the gorgeous mama and daddy to be were the perfect models. The simple long dress was perfect against the snowy forest backdrop.

I chose this month to showcase bath time and nap time…very popular activities in my house. Also, this is my first attempt at the dreaded self-portrait. New Years Resolutions are often NOT quite above and beyond what you should be already be doing, right? You know, like organizing your home, getting your butt to the gym, or making time for something you enjoy. For a lot of photographers a resolution often is to take more pictures of our own families (ironic, isn’t it?). Or maybe not. I’m very fortunate to be part of an amazingly talented group of photographers who have all resolved to do this with me. Together, we are all motivating & challenging eachother to post 11 images or our family on the 11th day of the month. Here’s to sticking to it my friends!
