The Ambassador program was about providing a certification process for advertisers. Like Google have one called Qualified Adword Professional.

According to the mail, Yahoo!! sent to their Ambassadors:

The Yahoo! Ambassador program was specifically developed to help marketers drive sales leads to their clients. For the last four years, Yahoo! has made an effort to enhance the program to provide the greatest added value to our users. After a thorough evaluation of the program, we have decided to discontinue the program. The Ambassador Program, except for the limited use of the Ambassador Logo as noted below, shall be terminated as of September 30, 2008.

Looks like this is another step from Yahoo!! towards outsourcing its paid search business to Google.

Note that Michael had already reported about this on 7th march and he was that much confident about this news that even after a explanation post from Jay Adelson he was not agreed with Jay.

Acording to Michael

The companies are now in final negotiations according to our sources, although it could be a couple of weeks before it closes. And while the major deal points have been agreed on, the acquisition could still fall apart. Microsoft, which was previously interested in the company, may be willing to step back in at a much lower price.

Seems like one after another Microsoft is loosing its market catch to Google.

We had a discussion earlier on Optimizing Title Tags and Rand did a similar post Best Practices for Title Tags. There were many discussions about limiting the titles to 65 or a max of 70 in past as Google ignores beyond that limit.

About This Experiment:
Performed this experiment over a junk domain (bookmarkingservice.info) never used that domain earlier, however this is a old domain but I suppose domain age have nothing to do with this experiment.

Okay here are the test results:
Search “bndhfycjoghetyu 12″ with and without quote.
For both query You will get

Seems like after Live Search and Google Search Its Yahoo Search this time .. Suzukik of Webmaster World pointed this out in his thread. Yahoo!! announced something similar in the beginning of 2006 which was limited to Wikipedia.

It is not necessary if u have SiteLinks with Google then you will get them with Yahoo!! and Live.

Just Got a Call from Google regarding the Verification of my Business and they asked me if i have more Numbers to be displayed into my listings.
They assured me about updating the list within next few weeks. I think this is a very good idea about verifying the listings at Local Search Results and providing the Quality for the searchers.

So i believe having a valid phone number and postal address is very much important if u want to rank high with Google Local Search.
