Marquise by Caronia is a very light, sparkling, flesh-toned nail colour in the bottle. However, it looks more of white on the nails. It claims to be frosted but I think it's more on the glittery side on the actual. There are particles of silver glitters, which look green, gray, pink, and gold at certain angles. And so here are my nails for the week! <3

Hi Loves! I am going to feature my nails from two or three weeks! I am so busy recently; I haven't had the time to post about new stuff. So anyway, here they are. :) I used Caronia Pussy Red as base coat, Orly Toast the Couple as the spots, black Ever Bilena eyeliner for lining the spots (Yes! You read it right, EYELINER. :)) and Orly Won't Chip topcoat. Moreover, for my ring finger, I used Orly Toast the Couple as base coat and Caronia Pussy Red as the spots. BTW, this is my first try on nail art and of course, animal prints. :)

The second day of my modeling workshop was postponed. I am all ready to go to the venue when my director texted me that we'll have it tomorrow because of the bad weather; it was raining hard.

...so I had fun in front of the webcam, instead :p

I hope the workshop will pursue tomorrow. :) BTW, Happy Birthday to my Mom!!! See you later! x0x0

Philippines still has bad weather (heavy rains), so the Sunday workshop did not pursue. Technically, the second day of workshop will be next Saturday. Rain rain go away please! But I don't want to go for too much heat. I want a refreshing sunshiny day only! haha :)

Modeling Workshop: Day One

Hi everyone! I'm back! :) Before going to the post proper on my first day in modeling class, I wanna make a follow-up comment regarding the Oogmerk Optician Ad - GET THE RESPECT YOU DESERVE post. I decided to just make a follow-up comment instead of a separate follow-up post since I didn't get enough opinions about it, lol. =))

I asked people what's noticeable in the ad. For me, it seems like there's a discrimination or a clear segmentation in the levels of our society. It compares the look of a truck driver (without glasses) and a "dr. professor" (with glasses) with this line: “Get the respect you deserve” (Advertising Agency: LG&F, Brussels, Belgium). I guess, yes, it doesn't say that we don't have respect for truck drivers. It just says that if you have glasses, then you'll look like a "dr. professor" - the right respect that should be given to you as what you really are (AGAIN: “Get the respect you deserve”). BUT, for me, the ad also clearly states the level of a truck driver against a "dr. professor", which is not a good idea for me when it comes to selling your products and services. I believe we should be more careful about making other people feel lowly among other people in the society. Do you get what I mean? :) Anyway, that's it, thanks for reading my follow-up comment. :)

Moving on to the post proper on "Modeling Workshop: Day One", I had my first day of modeling classes last Saturday July 23, 2011! Boo me, 'coz I forgot to bring my camera! *ugh!* And worst of all, technically, I was one-hour late. Technically, because they told me that they started the class at 2pm BUT they actually personally advised me to come at 3pm because we will start at that time or even 3:30pm. I came two minutes before 3pm and used the two minutes for changing my t-shirt to spaghetti strap top and for wearing high heels. I went to the platform and our director told me, "Model, you are ONE-HOUR late." I was like, "WHAT?!?!" I told him that I even received two SMS from his secretary telling me that the workshop will be at 3pm and another SMS from him that morning telling me the same thing! I just told myself, "Ok, fine, whatever, I can catch up."

During the enrollment period, he told us that we will be having two-hour class for each session, so 3pm to 5pm - no break. But to my surprise, the class only had a 30-minute session. I learned that during the time that I wasn't in the class yet, they just had a random catwalk, no specific lessons whatsoever, so I didn't really miss any lesson yet. The lesson proper started when I came in - and that's the 30-minute class I'm talking about. Then again, I was like, "WHAT?!?! 30 minutes?! Are you serious?!" We later found out that our director needs to go home early because he's going to Vietnam and his baggage is not fixed yet.

It was really a disgust for me. First of all, I was the only one advised to come at 3pm or wasn't updated that it would be at 2pm. I hate being called LATE, especially when I'M NOT! Second, I find it out of professionalism to end the class early just because someone haven't fixed his baggage yet for the trip. I believe it's not the model students' problem. The class shouldn't be sacrificed because we paid for it! (And in my case, I travel for three hours or more just to get to the class venue!)

*Deep breath* After releasing all my rants, I am still looking forward to enjoyable and fruitful modeling classes for the next Saturdays. I am actually very excited to make my blog post on my first day of modeling class, but unfortunately it didn't turn out nice. :( HOPEFULLY *fingers crossed*, the next modeling classes would be a-ok. :)

Busiest Vacation Leave

Vacation leaves are precious. I am out of office but in the house all day. Good thing my superior allowed me to file it tomorrow. I asked for a leave from work today not because I want to rest or what, but because I had to make exam reviewers for my 6-year-old brother who is now sleeping soundly as of this writing. Look: :)

I am so dead tired making all these reviewer stuffs but I am also happy for my lil' bro ;). I hope he could pass all the exams with these magical dry-runs! LOL

Because of too much excitement in making these reviewers, I broke my favorite pink dermatograph, which I used since college in UPLB. :(

Bikinis in My Closet ♥

Nope, I'm not gonna expose every single bikini in my closet, haha! I'm just going to post my recent bikini buys - all from Nudo Swimwear. I plan to wear these bikinis on my next beach get aways! Here they are:

Kenya Escaya Triangle - This is my latest buy. :) I love this bikini because of the sexy fit and and the gold chains on top and on the side of the bottom. Girls, admit it, gold chains on bikinis just make them even sexier, RIGHT?! :) Moreover, the "animalistic camo" prints do give a fantastic sexy aura!

Nautical Rosette Bandeau - Disclaimer: The girl is just a model, lol. Don't worry I'm gonna post my own version, ha! LOL! The design's cute making it perfect for sunbathing or just goofing around the poop deck. :p

Amanecer Dominica Triangle - This one's just a replacement of another bikini that I ordered, which unfortunately was already out of stock. This bikini, however, is surprisingly my fave of the three! The fit is nice, bottom's really sexy, circle buckles added oomph, but most of all, the color combination make my skin illuminate and is also perfect for summer.

I am sort of a bikini addict. Every time I get to surf the net or visit a mall, I never forget to check out some bikinis even though I know that I don't have enough budget yet and even though I already have lots of them. (And "even though" summer's over! hahaha) For us bikini babies, everyday is summer, PAK!

And so, speaking of tight budgets, Nudo Swimwear is the answer! I've been a fan of lots of bikini brands from X to XY to XYZ, haha, I don't wanna mention these expensive stuffs, but I just found out that local Nudo Swimwear offers the same good quality and sexy and fab look WITHOUT burning a hole in your pocket. Orly Lacquer: Toast the Couple

Hi there! Ok, so this is a late post of my manicure last week! :)

One day, I've got no work load at the office, so I decided to stroll around and I later found myself inside SM Makati, ha! :p At that time, I already plan to change my polish during the weekend and use Orly lacquers. I tried to look for a sheer color that's just right for the office. Something natural, something NOT loud.

And so, I found this!

Toast the Couple in the bottle looks like frosted peachy light brown. I tried a little bit of it before buying and it looked very light, almost resembles the color of my natural nails, which is why I loved it.

When I went home, made my nails and was surprised to see the pinkish hue of Orly Toast the Couple lacquer. The color is like silvery beige with a pinkish hue. The color register on my nails depends on how much light or shade I have on them. Let's take a look:

Orly Toast the Couple nail lacquer is part of the Orly Wedding Party '06 Collection! But I think they still continue to produce this color as one of Orly's permanent colors.

Cagbalete Island Experience

Cagbalete Island is such a sight to behold. White sands, migratory birds, clear waters and fresh air... If you want inexpensive white sand beach experience, visit this island in Mauban, Quezon. There are two things I didn't like in this place though. One is the inconsistent electricity and the absence of restaurants or any bars. So, I highly recommend this place for camping and relaxation sans the night life, lol. The last four photos are courtesy of Mr. Leo Casumpang.

These dwarf bakawan mangroves can be seen when waters subside during the afternoon. This small islet with mangroves is not so far away from the beach.

Love is such a magical word. You can feel it during the most unexpected moment. Give it unconditionally during the most hurting of all pains. And just do it against all odds.

In my almost 23 years of existence in my life, I only had one boyfriend. The only guy I fell in love with. A relationship which lasted for almost 3 big years – sans one month. We have been very happy in our relationship. And according to him, I am also the one and only woman he fell in love with. Actually, there’s this woman who was madly in love with him, and yet he couldn’t find any feelings of love for her. Until we met each other again after some years of being away from each other since we graduated from high school. (Yes, we’re high school classmates )

We have been very happy, yes, our relationship became very deep… But, our years together became very complicated. Sweetness faded, hurts came in, and we just both stopped trying.

At first, we were so sweet to each other, ants can’t even contain themselves! He was always thoughtful, sweet, caring, always thinks about me and does something for me! We we’re so into each other that we came to the point that showing our affection to each other was no longer a problem. We grew comfortably together… But somehow, in between those comfort, I sense fear from my heart. Are we really growing together or is this comfort creates distance between us? I put all my fears to rest and started to paddle along with him on a boat over the waters, which no one ever knew the direction and end of the flow. We learned to tolerate each other’s attitudes, whether we like it or not. It actually came to a point where I learned to tolerate something I didn’t have to! Then I heard the waters rushing… I knew this is a waterfall and, unfortunately, we’re going downhill.

Our relationship was like a wounded bird who tried its best to fly but just can’t anymore. No matter how hard we flap our wings, we just can’t because our wings are just too hurt and withered. No matter how much we wanted to still live and fly freely – we always found ourselves on the ground, gasping for air to breathe.

And now, I was surprised to see this day come. We were in mutual terms to surrender and admit that the immortal bird we knew to last forever is dying. We just accepted it, finally.

Teary eyed right now, I will miss him so much. So much that I’ll never know when I will be able to move on… I know I will, and I absolutely know that he will too… I love you and I know you felt how much love I have for you. Your love and concern for me is likewise commendable. I bid good night to our relationship, and let’s be happy. For no matter how far we’ll be, the good and right things will find the same direction and end up the way it should be.
