Annamation is Launching a new CD!

Hello!

We’d love you to join us for the celebration of the launch of Annamation’s new CD of songs; ‘I Heard the Voice’.

We’ll be singing songs from the album and telling duo and trio tales in true Annamation style!

Come and join us at The Foyle Studio, The Midlands Arts Centre (mac), Birmingham on Sunday 5th December at 4.30pm.

Entertainment will last for an hour, then stay and join us for a drink and mince pies.

Susanna appointed as Storyteller-Trainer for the North West

Susanna has been appointed as Storyteller-Trainer for the North West by UK charity Bag Books. She will be delivering storytelling sessions in libraries in the North West region telling multi-sensory stories tailored specifically for children and yound people with severe and profound learning difficulties. She will be training library staff to do the same, making libraries more accessible to everyone in their community. This exciting project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Annamation at ArtsFest this Weekend

Come and join us this Saturday and Sunday for a story at Arts Fest. You’ll find us in the room designated for the Barber Institute of Fine Arts in the Town Hall, Birmingham. We will be telling the story of Jacob and Esau – a story of sibling rivalry, trickery and deception.

Times are 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm

From the storytellers and director of ‘Tongue & Groove’, Annamation presents their new show ‘Hags and Heroines’. Funded by Birmingham City Council Community Arts Team. In this fast flow of unique stories and spell binding songs, hideous heroines and heavenly hags come bursting into the 21st century.

B.I.G Storytelling Workshop

Funded by the British Interactive Group, Annamation conducted an intensive training day with education officers from museums and galleries around the UK. The day was hosted at Birmingham Think Tank and consisted of a series of sessions designed to help the group write a story using a coherent structure, to craft it using visualisation techniques, to improve delivery by exploring vocal dynamics and to learn effective audience management.

The Tour

So… the Tongue & Groove Tour is officially finished! And what a tour it’s been. We’ve been up and down England; down to The Isle of Wight and even as far as Holland which was an exciting adventure. We went full circle starting in sunny Brum and ending in sunny Solihull! Don’t worry though, Tongue & Groove is still being booked in many different venues even after the tour has finished. So watch out for where it next appears!! We’ll be performing it up in Nottinghamshire in April so come along!

‘ArtReach!’

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts houses many famous master pieces. In order to make the art and artists accesible to a wider public they launched their outreach programme ‘ArtReach!’ This programme is designed and delivered by Annamation. The artists Flinck, Rembrandt, Claude Lorrain and Claude Monet will be coming to life in Birmingham primary schools to tell the children about their journey to fame. They will teach them the concepts of portrait and landscape painting though time travel, interactive games and slap stick comedy.
