Have you heard? There’s a new doc in town and she’s almost ready to open the doors to her new practice. You might want to camp out overnight on September 7th, because on September 8th, you don’t want to miss out on getting in. Dr. Grant is pretty cool, but her office is super fun if I do say so myself. But seriously, this lady is superwoman…designing and building a new office, giving birth to a beautiful little baby girl (photos to follow, soon!) and TCBin’ life in a new city all within a span of just a few months. She’s proof, ladies…you can have it all! Congratulations, Danielle! You are someone I really admire!

Check out these pictures of the canvases I made for her office. Super cute, no? Some of them are from a session I did with her kids, some of them are my kids, others are all of those kids’ cousins. It’s a happy place full of sweet faces!

Here’s a little peek at our trip to the beach this summer. We went to Galveston to spend the week with Bill’s mom and brothers and their families. It was hot, humid and sandy. The sand stuck to the car all the way back home to Austin. But, we had a great time seeing everyone, playing bingo, making sandmud castles, getting tan and burned, and splashing in the water. The week was not without jellyfish incidents. One got Bill and another got my oldest all up and down her right leg. She didn’t panic, but held on like the future marine biologist she is. Brave girl. I would have screamed and gone back home that very day. Will I do it again? Sure! But, I wonder, what would a vacation on the Comal river instead be like? Tubing next summer, anyone?

Thanks to the “cold front” it is now only in the 90s, but the first and middle part of August was unbearable! Here’s proof. Poor girl. Three fans and she’s still sweating.

I had the privilege of photographing Jessica and Matt’s wedding on July 31st. They were such a cute couple and such nice people. Bill and I really enjoyed our time with you and your family and friends! Thanks for letting us share your special day with you!

Ever wonder what size canvas or print to order? I can now help you visualize! Check out the images below. The first is of an 8 x 10 canvas over the fire place. Sounds like a good idea, right? Look at it compared to the 20 x 30 in the second image. Wow, big difference, huh? Who knew? I did! But, until now, it was hard to show you unless I brought my samples into your home and held them up places, or took out my measuring tape and jotted down a few notes. Then, you had to wait for your beautiful canvases to arrive to really see how it was going to look. Now, you can make a choice online without having to guess what will fit where and without me crashing into your house with all my stuff! Although, I am still more than happy to do that! Just trying to make all our lives a little simpler with this fun new little piece of easy.

Cameo is a good friend of mine. She is not only my friend, but she does my hair and she is my accomplice in the Bombshell Bettie sessions. She is awesome. I love her and I know she’s super happy. Todd is a cool dude. I’m so happy for the both of them and their new family! Yay, love!
