Fort Collins woman accused of sex with "Furry" teen

A 45-year-old Fort Collins mother is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old boy who also was part of a group that enjoys dressing up as animals.

Richael L. Michels faces sexual assault on a child charges, according to the arrest affidavit the Fort Collins Coloradoan newspaper posted on its website. Her husband notified the Colorado Department of Human Services in May that his wife might be having an improper online relationship with a teen-aged boy, the affidavit says.

He also told investigators she had "recently become involved with a group known as 'Furries,' who dress up like animals and have social gatherings online and in person."

Members of the group gave statements to police after the woman's affectionate, sometimes intimate behavior with the teenager at Furries gatherings, called "furmeets."

According to the arrest affadavit, Michels is friends with the boy's mother. The boy told investigators Michels "even made a comment about the irony of (his) mom trusting her as a mentor ... and the whole time she was having sex with him."

The boy told police that he and Michels had sex several times, according to the affidavit.

Flight diverted after passenger undresses in seat

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A passenger stripped naked during a US Airways flight and resisted a flight attendant's efforts to cover him with a blanket before two off-duty law enforcement officers on board subdued and handcuffed him, authorities said Wednesday.

Keith Wright, 50, of the Bronx in New York, was taken into custody after he disrobed while sitting in his seat in the back of Flight 705 on Tuesday evening, authorities said. The plane was carrying about 148 passengers from Charlotte to Los Angeles, the airline said.

Wright was unresponsive when a flight attendant asked him to put his clothes back on, said Dan Jiron, a spokesman for the Albuquerque airport. 'She asked him on more than one occasion to put on his clothes. She covered him with a blanket and he took that off,' Jiron said.

Wright punched and kicked the flight attendant, who asked two off-duty law officers for help, according to a criminal complaint. A Los Angeles police officer and sheriff's deputy helped the flight attendant subdue and handcuff Wright before the flight landed, Jiron said.

The flight attendants also were dealing with an unrelated onboard medical emergency at the same time, which exacerbated the situation, the FBI said. The aircraft was diverted because of the medical emergency, and Wright's actions were a secondary reason for the unplanned landing, the complaint said.

Roger Finzel, an assistant federal public defender representing Wright, said he has not yet met with his client and had no information about the case other than what was in the complaint.

Wright told the FBI he is suffering from a bipolar disorder and had not taken his prescribed medication before leaving New York that morning, the criminal complaint said. Wright told the FBI he recalled nothing about the flight or his behavior, it said.

Wright had been seen dancing in a crowded boarding area before the flight, but when approached by Flight Service Supervisor Claudia Kearney, he told her he had drunk one beer. Kearney told the FBI she did not smell alcohol on him and determined he was well enough to travel, the complaint said.

US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder could not confirm that Kearney worked for the airline.

Passenger Ginny Keegan of Detroit was sitting in the front of the plane, when there was commotion coming from the back. The people on the flight were notified of a violent passenger as the plane began to approach Albuquerque, but Keegan said no one was fearful.

'No one was really panicking. The flight attendants seemed to handle it very well,' she said. Keegan said the man was 'completely naked' as he was taken in handcuffs off the plane.

As the plane took off again, Keegan said the usual announcement to please fasten your seat belts came over the loudspeakers with a twist. The message included 'a reminder to everybody to please keep your clothing on. It got a couple chuckles,' Keegan said.

Wright is in federal custody on a federal charge of interfering with flight crew members and attendants. He is expected to appear in federal court in Albuquerque on Thursday."

29 June 2009 – Michigan, US: On the morning of June 29th at 4:15 am a very bright light was spotted from Davison, Mi to the east between 85 and 90 degrees and between 35 and 40 degrees in elevation. At the time my wife and i were going to bed and spotted a light out the window. At first glance i thought it could be a meteorite however it was mostly stationary and multicolored. The light remained in this position until it disappeared at 5:15. Light consisted of multiple lights in 3 rows, with 10-12 lights in a row in a bar like shape. Lights varied between being on and off, in color, intensity. They varied from glowing to being beams of light extending 5 times the width of the object. The lights seemed to rotate at times and sit still at other times, and sometimes flash at random. Rotation was at times vertical and others like chasing lights along its length. A red beam was often seen shining from the bottom of the object. 6-10 audible tones were heard while the object was visible. Tones were heard about every 15 minutes and lasted only a few seconds. The object seemed to move slightly in reference to nearby stars every few minutes but still remained in nearly the same place. A low hum was maintained at all times during the sighting but this could possibly have been local road noise.

29 June 2009 – New Jersey, US: I want to make it very clear that what I am about to write is 100% true. I don't care about alien fanatics, but I do care about the truth. Just 40 minutes ago, I was about to fall asleep sleep when I noticed an unusually bright star outside my window. I have seen two UFOs near my home before, so I knew I had to take a better look at what it was. One of the previous UFOs I had seen, just like the one I saw 40 minutes ago, was a star-like object, but as soon as I stepped out of my car to take a good luck at what it was I was seeing, it shot off into one direction at an incredible speed. When it took off, the string of light curved into the shape of the letter "C". This occurred last summer, but I did not report it. The other UFO I saw, was a Black Triangle that had no visible lights (almost like it was trying to remain unseen). I saw it three years ago (between March-April). Me and my ex-wife exited the backdoor of our house and walked towards my car (this was around 9:00-10:00PM). The sky was grey and completely covered with clouds. For some reason, I had the instinct that something was above me, and to my amazement, I saw this Black Triangle hover across the sky, under the clouds- at a very low altitude and with complete silence. It moved slow enough that I could clearly see it in contrast to the grey sky above, but because it had no lights, I had a feeling that it was a foreign object not from this world. It felt unreal watching it, and in a way, I think it traumatized me because it put me into a state of disbelief. I watched it closely as it passed by (straight above me) and disappeared in about 20-30 seconds into the dark, grey sky that lied ahead. I wanted to tell you about these events because I strongly believe that after seeing what I saw just moments ago, that this area (around Atlantic City/Pleasantville), has undeniable UFO events that are taking place. I am 22 years old and very smart, so I will try my best to make this report brief and bring it down to a human level for good comprehension.

It was 4:40AM and I had just put my iPod away. I was listening to some good, heartfelt music. Immediately after turning it off, I put my head down, ready to go to sleep. Then, for some reason, I thought I saw something outside that I should check. It was just a light that I figured would end up being a plane or some bright star or planet. Then, when I moved the blinds, I realized that it WAS just a star. Or so I thought.

So I kept looking at this star, thinking to myself, why is this the only star in the sky? I mean, I looked around and only saw one REAL star in the background, but it looked completely stationary, as it should. So as I let a minute pass by, I realized that the light wasn't staying the same. At moments, it seemed to get brighter, then just a tiny bit more dim. Maybe, possibly, a star does this. But after the next few things I realized, I knew that this phenomenon was something that could not be dismissed. Remind you, it was late (and it's still late), I wouldn't have gazed for so long if I didn't think it was a cause for alarm. So, there I am, looking at this big, bright star in the sky. As I looked harder (while holding my breath to make sure the object wasn't moving because of me), I noticed one blinking light on the left side. Then I saw a brighter blinking light on the right, except when the right side blinking, it looked like a dim, white beam went from right to left straight to where the blinking light was. While I'm noting this in my mind in awe, I realize that it looks like it's hovering from right to left and up and down and so on. It was not completely still. In fact, it was moving. Just not dramatically like the first star-like object I saw in the sky just last year (around this very time). I began to think that maybe this was a news chopper getting an oversight of the Atlantic City skyline. But then I began to think, "How can that be? It's freakin' 4:40AM and it still very dark outside. In fact, it was dark enough that, the object I was looking at looked like the Northern Star (in comparison). But two answers must be answered and I think I already know the answers to them. First, "Isn't a chopper or plane required to have clear, visible lights blinking in a set sequence? Also, isn't it supposed to have distinct colors like Blue or Red to identify it as an aircraft?" This Helicopter idea had to be ruled out right then and there, because I knew that the one blinking light on the left was far too dim to identify it as plane because I had to really look at this thing to even realize it was blinking. Also, the other blinking light on the right was not set to a perfect sequence or timing. It came off and on, but again, much too slow to identify it as some type of human aircraft. The minutes were flying by, and at this point, I wanted to get a pic or vid. But my camera phone's quality was too crappy, and me being a truth freak, I hate watching UFO vids that aren't clear for they still give the reason of a doubt. I watched the hovering object until the night became day, and soon enough, the star-like object could not be seen. 5:20AM is when I lost sight. As a note, I'd like to add that the object had several random tiny specks of light blinking all around it, but they were much too small to describe with complete accuracy. There was one moment where I saw a dim, white glow around the bottom of the star-like object. It continued to move up/down, right/left while gradually moving up the sky, higher and higher- like the sun, moon, and stars would. But if that was an alien spacecraft, wouldn't it be likely that they would use the glow of white light to fool a human into thinking that what they seeing was the Northern Star or Venus or something easily explained but not proved. Also, the gradual movement up the sky tells me that whoever controlled this thing, knew what they were doing and have probably done it for a long time and many times before.

This event is described to the best of my knowledge and I want a response with possible conclusions and or clues to what this star-like object was. I am here to help as much as possible. In fact, tomorrow night, I will watch the sky around the same time, and have my video cam ready for quality footage.

NOTE: I completely ruled out the ideas of a helicopter, plane, flare, star, planet, comet, meteor, shooting star, satellite, or the International Space Station. Since the object was hovering several centimeters horizontally and vertically (from my point of view) and not stationary or still as a "real" star would, I ruled out the possibility of it being a star or planet. Again, it clearly and definitely moved horizontally and vertically in 2-3 centimeter length, but this was from my point of view and it can also be concluded that as far as the object must have been, those centimeters could have easily been many feet in length. Now, since the object was not constantly moving in one direction across the sky, it can be concluded that it was neither a satellite, comet, meteor, shooting star, "Space Station", plane, helicopter, or flare. This object was hovering in the air at a very high altitude for over 30 minutes before disappearing with the morning sunlight.

28 June 2009 – Ohio, US: It was about 10:30 pm. i was walking home from a fireworks show at well park in Elmore Ohio and some people i was passing said look up there. i was curios and looked up and saw this red glare. i first thought an asteroid but then my eyes adjusted and i saw a flickering ball.it was pretty high in the sky and went in a straight line for about 10 minutes.first i thought i should’ve brought my camera and after i lost sight i rushed home to tell my parents. i watched until it was a small ball in the far away sky and disappeared at about 11:00 pm. i know there are witnesses including myself that were watching.

27 June 2009 – California, US: Group Investigating: Shannon McCabe's HPI (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations International) Location of Sightings: Carnegie SVRA State Vehicular Recreation Area (Observing Area over Lawrence Livermore Labs)

Lead Ufologist: Paul Dale Roberts
Renee Martine (Intuitive) and 2 other intuitives reported seeing 3 stars aligned in a right degree angle. The star in the middle seemed to wobble, split into two stars and finally vanished. Time of sighting: 2:06am. Other witnesses: Laura Miller and Monique Apodoca. Note: The three using intuitive abilities were attempting to communicate with extraterrestials.

Tammy Straling while observing the night sky saw a darting star object that moved in an erratic pattern. Time of sighting: 3:01am. Possible witness: Paul Dale Roberts. My eyes could have been playing tricks on me. Observing the night skies on a continuous basis causes mis-sight and misjudgment. While observing with binoculars, it appeared to be a fast moving star like UFO that darts straight, hard left angle and straight again. Note: Many conventional aircraft and satellites were observed.

Observations lasted through the entirely of the evening. Photographic or video was not obtained. Light/laser signaling produced no results. Psychic telepathy communication inconclusive. Sightings by investigators are inconclusive.'

27 June 2009 – California, US: I had just returned to my home after picking up dinner at a local restaurant. Upon existing my vehicle I had an "urge" to look up at the sky. I cannot explain the urge; it was something that I distinctly felt. I looked west and scanned up and to the southeast. The sky was clear with a number of stars visible. I observed the light (orb) moving south to north. I cannot approximate the distance, however the light was in approximate size to a pencil's eraser. What really caught my eye was the orb was radiating light much as a star would. The light had distinct radiating points of white light, approximately eight in total. The orb was moving at a rapid and constant rate of speed. The angle of the light was approximately 70 degrees from my position. As the object arrived just east of my position, what appeared to be a headlamp turned on for a period of two seconds. The lamp illuminated in front of the object.

Immediately I felt a high pitched "humming" in both ears, and what could be best described as a "static charge" around my body. The sound was not painful. The "humming" is still present since the incident. I still hear the noise even when I put in earplugs.

It took the object approximately seven seconds to traverse my visual spectrum.

We have an airport located seven miles from my home. The speed and direction of the object does not conform to the airport's landing and takeoff pattern. We also have an international airport located sixty miles north. The object's light, lack of green/red directional lights seemed odd, and did conform to FAA regulations.

27 June 2009 – Pennsylvania, US: I was setting on my front porch talking on the Phone like around 11: p.m. when I noticed a moving Star like Orb moving very slowly in fact it looked like a moving star I did not see any blinkers at all! I called my mom out front and she couldn't see at first but when she did she had said it was something that the Gov. has out it's just so freaky I believe they are Crafts of some unknown kind either from here or of the 3'd kind I have seen videos of these Orb and the one I seen was the very same deal if anyone could give me any details please email me at wright10301973@gmail.com been also seeing these Orb's all last summer.

26 June 2009 – Illinois, US: I was coming home from work a little past 5 pm and had walked to the bus stop to wait for the bus home. I was looking at the planes taking off from O’Hare International Airport. As I watched the airplanes taking off I notices two bright spheres of light, zipping in and around the path of the planes. They seemed to be dancing with one another, No other way I could put it. They were circling around each other and zipping back and forth. The planes did not seem to be bothered or did they divert from their paths due to the objects.

This went on for about 45 seconds to roughly 1 minute, before the objects sped out of site. This is not the first time I have witnessed strange objects in and around O'Hare. I usually carry around my backpack and in it, is my trusty camera. But today of all days I decided to leave it at home and travel light.

26 June 2009 – Texas, US: Ok, I’ve seen this similar object now about a dozen times in the past few months. These supposed Chemtrail Planes are flying over and near the planes are these orbs almost all the time. I've filmed one on a camera but since I don't have an actual camcorder I can't film them all. These orbs are always there when these planes fly over and they have some amazing speeds. One of these planes was flying over and one of these orbs was behind it at about a hands length and in a matter of seconds this orb went from being well behind it to in front of it. It passed in front of the planes from right to left. It was behind it to the right and then quickly sped up and crossed paths with the plane and was in front of it and to the left of it in a matter of seconds. There’s something going on with these Chem planes and these orbs. Pay attention to the planes. Film them cause the one time I've filmed one I caught something on camera I didn't see. You tube it also there’s thousands of videos on there of these orbs appearing when these planes are flying over. Not sure what else to say except something odd is going on. Pay Attention People!

26 June 2009 – Texas, US: It was at 11:50PM. on June 26 I went out to the mail box and I saw a very bright star. It was so bright you couldn't see anything else around it. It was due east at app. 25 degrees off the horizon. I watched it for a few min. it never moved. To make sure it wasn't moving I aligned my eye sight with my neighbor roof to see if it would go behind the roof or up or to the left or right, never moved so I thought it was a planet or some star. the next night I went at the same time just to check there was nothing there. no star no bright light nothing and it was at the exact time as the night before. if it was a star or planet it would have been close to the same area. I guess I saw a UFO and didn't even know it. it is still strange to me as to what it was

26 June 2009 – Florida, US: At about 1:35 a.m. after finishing up some online school work, I decided to go outside to have a smoke. I kept the patio lights off in order to keep the bugs away, and to better see shooting stars.

After gazing at the sky for about 5 minutes a drifting object caught my eye. It was moving west at a slow pace, with no lights on, and it did not make much of a sound like most aircrafts would. I live next to the West Palm Beach airport and I am aware of the sound of most planes and helicopters. This was niether. My first thought was that is was a bunch of balloons by the way it almost floated through the sky, but after watching for a few minutes that guess quickly change.

The object was triangular with almost like a circle inside the triangle. I watched as it made it's way west until it stopped, and accelerated backwards as if it saw me see it. I couldn't do much but shake and listen to my own heart pounding as the triangular object hovered almost directly above me. Then it began to sort of dance in the sky, my initial reaction was that they didn't know where or which direction they wanted to go. But it stayed in a general area above me drifting north, then south, east and west. I knew for sure at that point that it wasn't any aircraft belong to us. Silently this object danced in the sky for about 3 minutes. I then decided to get my camera, but being so terrified I couldnt even think straight enough to do so. I ran inside searched for my phone and called a friend. After I returned outside to see if it was there still, it was gone.

Now that I think about it, it seems that they wanted me to see them, as if to confirm all of my beliefs. Growing up I've always had a strong belief in other lifeforms. Becoming an adult it was like after having no personal conformation you should just let it go, not that I did. This sighting to me was just that reconfimation of what I've always believed. Finally.

25 June 2009 – California, US: My husband and I were sitting on our front porch facing East in Yucaipa, California. We were looking at the stars and watching for satellites when my husband pointed up toward the northeast sky. When I turned to look I saw a faint dot, like a satellite or faint star, which was brightening to an intense whitish blue light. The brightness was more intense than a jetliner head on in the night, more like a helicopter spotlight. The object was too far in the sky to be an airplane or helicopter and it was moving from North to South. The brightness lasted for about fifteen seconds then it diminished and again resembled a satellite or faint star as it changed direction and began heading up and Eastward away from us until it disappeared. It was about 3/4 up from the ground and appeared to be at the same height as satellites are normally seen. At the time my husband noticed the object we were discussing possible new job plans and just as I said, "Seems like we are supposed to be on a different path" he pointed to the object. He said it looked like the object turned toward us, like a flashlight that is pointed away and then turns straight at you. We would just like to know what it was.

25 June 20009 – California, US: In Victorville CA, Heard fighter jet looked up and saw a large round sphere that is very shinny and just sitting in mid air around 1 thousand ft in air. It moved a few feet very fast jerks then stopped, then repeated maneuver. Then saw a fighter jet fly by it at same elevation. Jet was short body and short wing span and very loud. I turned to get my pocket camcorder out of my escalade. Took 3 seconds. Turned around and looked up and it was gone. I heard the jet going fast but could not see it anymore.

24 June 2009 – Kentucky, US: Was driving west on I-64 when suddenly 2 low-flying F-22s fighter jets (?, unsure but similar to photos of jets) flying low and fast burst from the mountains overhead.
They were headed south west towards Louisville. Very unusual in this area. I read about the Louisville UFO event the next day and felt these may have been connected.

The jets could have come from Langeley in Va., but that's speculation from me. They were going awfully low and fast, making sharp turns over the hills and could just have been headed to Fort Campbell but they seemed to be on an emergency of sorts.

20 June 2009 – Illinois, US: I was wrapping-up some work on my computer at about 5:20 AM on June 20, 2009, when the morning twilight began to filter through the windows. It being my birthday, and the weather being particularly pleasant, I decided to go outside to observe the dawn sky. I stepped out onto my front porch and looked up into the southern sky. I immediately noticed a very bright object about 30 degrees above the horizon. At first, I thought it was a very bright planet, but I then noticed that it was moving towards me and to the northwest. As the object came closer, I could see that it was not a single point of light; instead, it was a cluster of lights which seemed to be travelling together in formation. The cluster did not resemble an airplane. Instead, it seemed to be composed of several individual elements of various sizes arranged in a "double-cross" or diamond-like pattern. The lights scintillated in a way that suggested to me that the morning sun which was just about to rise was reflecting off the object. I have often seen jets reflecting sunlight in the twilight hours, but this thing in the sky did not look *at all* like a plane. When I realized that I was definitely not seeing a conventional aircraft, I thought to myself, "I am seeing a f-ing UFO!". I raced inside and grabbed a small handheld video camera. By the time I got back outside (about 40 seconds later), the object had moved overhead along the same smooth trajectory in the sky it had been taking since I first noticed it. I began filming the object. The video clearly shows a bright object moving in the sky, but the fine structure of the formation was not clearly captured by the camera (which unfortunately does not have a zoom lens). I shot video for about 2 minutes as the object receded into the northwestern sky. When it was passing overhead and to the north, the formation appeared to be a cluster of roughly coplanar lights in a sort-of triangular arrangement. It made no sound at all. Judging from the way the scale of the object changed as it moved across the sky, I would guess that it was approximately at the same height as a passenger jet at cruising altitude. The experience left me excited and a bit flabbergasted. I reviewed the video footage and was somewhat disappointed to find that the shape of the object on the video was not clear. I made a couple of quick pencil-sketches to record my impression of the cluster's shape, and then retired to bed.

Sphere UFO reported by three witnesses in two states

An odd-shaped sphere UFO was reported by three unrelated witnesses in two states recently that could be the same object, according to information gathered from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database. A fourth case near Roswell, New Mexico, may also be related.

On April 22, 2009, near Dallas, a witness at an auto repair shop looked to the sky when he heard the sound of a military fighter jet and very soon he saw two more fighter jets moving across the sky.

But then two more objects caught his eye - and these were not jets. The witness said both objects appeared to be triangular in shape, but there was a sphere at each of the three points "joined by what looked to be black tube or beam structures that formed the triangle shape."
The witness went inside to get binoculars, but when he returned 20 seconds later, the two objects were gone, but the three fighter jets were heading into the direction where they were last seen.

Then on May 23, 2009, in Crockett, Texas, a woman looked up in the sky and saw "a huge multi-leveled triangular object" hovering. She reported that the object was "in the shape of a triangle with white orbs illuminating its 3 points."

After observing the silent object as it hovered for about 10 minutes, she said "a small white orb quickly shot out of the left side." The object remained hovering for another 15 minutes, and then "just disappeared."

Crockett is located in Houston County in northeastern Texas with a population of 7,141, and is named after Davy Crockett who reportedly camped here on his way to the Alamo.

Fast forward now to Kansas City, Kansas, on June 16, and a witness who was standing in her back yard and looking into a wooded area saw "three large spheres connected together with a large arm or protrusion extending out at an angle underneath the craft." I previosly reported on this story in Military jets spotted searching for sphere UFO over Kansas City, Kansas.

Marge Padgitt, the MUFON state section director for Kansas City, reports that she is investigating the Kansas City case and that the witness is working on an illustration of the object. Texas Field Investigator Fletcher Gray is investigating the Crockett, Texas case. Gray said that the witness near Dallas is also working on a sketch of the objects that he witnessed. Texas Field Investigator Jeremy Ray is investigating the case near Dallas.

A fourth case may be related from near Roswell, New Mexico.

10 JUNE 2009 – NEW MEXICO - While on a short sightseeing vacation trip to NM. from CA. from 9 Jun 2009 to 12 June 2009,on Wednesday, 10 June 2009 both my friend and I were traveling west leaving ROSWELL towards CHACO CANYON NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK via US 70. We decided to follow a route via US 380 West towards SOCORRO, and see if we could find any available lodging on route. After securing a room at a local motel in the town of CAPITAN, we decided to go for a ride and check out the countryside and stars that night, since the skies had turned clear enough to do so. Somewhere around 8:00 pm(20:00 hrs)we found State 234 eastbound and headed towards ROSWELL (Lincoln County).

For those unfamiliar with, NM STATE 230 is a 2 way road which appears to be mostly used by local farmer traffic and apparently not a very busy road at night. Providing NO light pole illumination, night falls quickly after dusk(or sometime between 8:45 PM and 9:10 PM or 20:45 to 21:10 hrs this time of the year). I had to engage the vehicle's high beam lights through out our entire ride, in order to better see the road's contour reflectors/markers/signs and also to avoid hitting any of the local wild life. In the 2.5 hours that we'd traveled to & from on this road, no other vehicles were encountered (nor could be seen at a far distance in the mostly flat landscape)in either direction.

Sometime around 9:00 PM (21:00 hrs)we'd reached marker 41 on STATE 230 and after passing this marker, but before reaching 42, we decided that rather than continuing further in that direction, it was best to go trail back westbound for a spot to stop. So we turned the car around and parked just on the shoulder of the road by marker 41, before heading back west to CAPITAN. We turned off our vehicle's engine & lights, and sat there inside the vehicle talking in total darkness, checking out the view and commenting on how dark it was for this chilly, clear and moonless starry night(up to that point...a full moon rose up later on round 10:00 or so PM (22:00 hrs).

At about 9:10 PM (21:10 hrs) and with the western skies providing just a bit more of lighter dusk shades on the horizon than the darker eastern skies, my friend and I both noticed an object, and although we couldn't make out the outline of it's fuselage, it had a very bright and steady glowing orange to reddish light. At first I thought it to be an aircraft traveling typically fast in a straight line, in a nor-east to east bound direction and at what seemed to me to be at a 30 degree angle above both the barely visible horizon, and the western mountain range.

Having served in both the USMC & the USCG, I am well familiar with many types of military aircrafts, so it seemed somewhat odd to me that a craft traveling that fast at night, did not have any other type of fuselage lights "ON", nor did it produce the familiar distant sounds of jet engines, or sound barrier blasts we're all familiar with.

I was just about to say something to my friend when at that very same moment he burst out saying: "What is that?"..."do you see it?"

No sooner does he asks... when this the object suddenly disappears, vanishing for what we'd estimated to be 5-6 seconds, when it suddenly re-appears again further along on what seemed to me to be 2-3 clicks to the east (still traveling on a straight course)when suddenly IT SPLITS INTO TWO(2)lights(of same orangish-reddish color), which traveled parallel to each other at first, then separating/widening apart in an arc fashion, until just as quickly both lights seemed to REJOIN or "MELT" back into ONE single light- VANISHING immediately thereafter. There was absolutely no sound or echo whatsoever of a collision, nor was there any visibly "hot" falling debris falling into the desert landscape, nor did we see any smoke or "trails" in the sky or fire coming out of the desert landscape thereafter.

My friend and I sat there for about 5-10 minutes both perplexed and excited at what we'd seen. We asked ourselves a number of questions (i.e.: was it fireworks?...was it a satellite?...could it have been spotlights? but none of these questions seemed to have a rational answer as to what we'd witnessed on that night. The entire episode lasted approximately 30 seconds and although I had a digital camera with me, unfortunately I could not retrieve it and power it up quick enough to take pics of the event given how quickly it all happened.

12 JUNE 2009 – OREGON, US - I was driving home looking east into the sky because there were many thunder heads for we were in the middle of a thunderstorm. I was attracted to a very dark cloud to the east. I noticed a white triangular object on the right hand corner of the cloud. I was thinking it must be a cloud within a cloud for it had a glow around it within the black cloud and was slowly dissipating. I thought at the time that is very strange little cloud within that cloud. I was speaking to my son and he said that there are white triangular ufo's. He showed me one on the internet. I said, "that’s exactly what it looked like". Just like the pic he showed me. I was astounded that I actually saw a white one. I have seen black triangular ones with three lights underneath but this one had the point of the triangle upward instead of seeing it flying flat over my head. It appeared to be going straight upward. Looking like such ^ . It eventually just disappeared. I kept thinking how strange it was but thought it was my imagination and wasn't going to say anything.

13 JUNE 2009 – MICHIGAN, US - A Chevron shaped crafted appeared the size of a plane in the Bootjack area. Was completely silence and stationary. Slowly began to move toward Hubbell/Tamarack area. The chevron shape had solid red lights at the point of the chevron, with white lights (solid) behind the red lights towards the back down the middle. Began to move quickly towards town. I thought it was a small plane or helicopter but it made absolutely no noise and was stationary. Lost site of it when it began to head toward town.

13 JUNE 2009 – COLORADO, US - We; Louie, Lucas, and Isaiah Vasquez were camping at Leeds Reservoir in Gypsum, CO From Friday June 12th until Sunday June 14th 2009. On the night of Saturday June 13th we were sitting around the campfire and we were looking up at the stars, since it has been our first clear sky in like about 2 and a half weeks. Anyhow, I (Lucas) noticed Two very bright lights travelling side by side very slowly across the sky. I pointed it out to my Father (Louie) and we all stood there and watched. It was 2 very bright lights exactly aligned as if they were on the ends of either side of whatever craft it was . The lights were not blinking, just a very very bright white. we were all watching this for a bout 2 minutes and it stopped moving. I immediately grabbed the camera but couldn't figure out how to make it shoot video, because I knew the Photo wouldn't have picked anything up. I couldn't figure it out. It was just hovering there for about a minute or so and then it began to rotate. It turned so that the lights were now one on top and one underneath, but still maintained the exact same distance between each other as when they were side by side. It moved up a little then Northbound again. Then Hovered again for about another minute, returned to it's original sideways position, and moved slowly Northbound again and just seemed to disappear in the Night sky. We were a little weirded out and excited all at once.

13 JUNE 2009 – TEXAS - just got off of work and was in the parking lot, was looking up at the sky and noticed a plane or jet ( had normal flashing lights and a few extra flashing white lights in the position as to where the wings would be) was following a bright red/orange spot or light that was staying solid in color. the plane or jet kept a constant distance, the red/orange light would turn rather sharply and the plane would follow, but turning at a more gradual rate. I watched this go on for a couple of minutes as the red/orange light would continue to zigzag and the plane or jet would follow. at one point the plane or jet appeared to get close to the red/orange light and the light quickly increased the distance between them. I watched it go on until I could not see the two any long as they disappeared going north west from south east. There was not any sound to be heard which I am sure was due to the high altitude. also at arms length the two appeared about 2 inches apart. I just thought this was unusual. I have seen many aircraft in the sky but have never witnessed anything like this. just thought it was strange. Thought you would like to hear about it.

13 JUNE 2009 – WISCONSIN - Tonight I was out watching the stars again and photographing any thing that might show up. My flash on the camera, which is quite useless in most respects for night time photography has indeed caught several abnormal and fluke photos in the past. Who knows what they where, bursts of light, fire flies or whatever could be debunked..but I am fascinated on what the lens has captured in the past. I had taken a series of photos into the same constellation of corona borealis outside of Vega and within 5 minutes I heard a thunderous pulsating noise unlike anything I had ever heard before, keep in mind I have been in flight school and do fly so I know all sounds of aircraft. I heard coming from the north a immensely loud pulsating noise and above the tree tops saw an object with red green and blue blinding lights. It rotated just above me and I tried to take photos the entire time but none would show what I saw. It was beautiful and spectacular..It was very big and larger than a normal aircraft..it was not anything I have ever known in pilot school and did not obey our flight pattern above our airspace. it was a free moving object and very powerful. I dont know what I saw but it was magnificent and I felt the really knew I was watching. What I saw was so powerful and unique. I would never dispute it as being nothing less than abnormal from what we know

13 JUNE 2009 – INDIANA - Just a beautiful clear evening. We were all outside laying back in the grass watching the sky and talking about different things. All of a sudden we seen a something streak across the sky at a fast rate of speed and just disappear. I said it was maybe a satellite. Within 10 minutes here comes the HELLO signal. Not a plane nor anything in my 57 years I have felt like I have seen and I have seen a UFO when I was 8 years old. This didn't look like anything that was on a course as it moved like jumping around. Does a satellite give you a BRIGHT FLASH of light right over your head then move on. I believe whatever it was knew we were giving it all our attention and rather enjoyed us. It seemed to say Hello by the making the flash at us directly over our head. I would say it was few miles up but seemed to know what was directly underneath it, like US.....We lost sight of it because it left our eye range. We all felt it was acknowledging us below and it seemed to know we were all excited and talking about it...Interesting to say the least...

14 JUNE 2009 – GREAT BRITAIN - Was outside brushing path and then sat down to have a drink. I always look up to the sky. I watched a plane going over toward Liverpool Airport when a shining reflection just underneath caught my eye. The object seemed quite far away in the distance at a guess it was probably over Liverpool Airport. From the way it was reacting in the sky it seemed to be spinning at a guess a "disc" shape object and I presumed the sun was reflecting on the object. My house was in the shade by then but could see the sun shining that way. I thought that a plane couldn’t stay in the same place and to me it would be too high up to be a helicopter but it didn’t look like that, it seemed the whole object was spinning not just the blades. I've watched the Space shuttle go over and that really moves through the sky but this seemed to stay in the same place. I wanted to call someone out of the house or get a camera but didn’t want to loose sight of it and was trying to work out what it could possibly be when cloud came over and it was gone. It probably only lasted for about 3 minutes from when I noticed it to the cloud coming over. Went in to get my daughter and we came out to see if we could see it again but couldn’t. The only thing I can think of that hovers is a helicopter but to me this seemed too far up. Just wondered if anyone else reported something.

14 JUNE 2009 – PENNSYLVANIA - I was fishing on Lake Erie, crystal clear calm day over the lake, some light cumulus clouds over both US and Canadian shores, no clouds over the lake. While watching a jet with a noticeable contrail fly across the sky I noticed a bright star-like object about 1/4 of the way from the jet to the horizon moving parallel and in sync with the jet without a contrail and no plane like shape. At first I thought it was another plane reflecting sunlight and then realized that it didn't have any plane shape. This continued for about 30 seconds when the object stopped for a about 10 seconds while the jet continued on. The object then changed course at an angle (no arc) and flew about 3/4 of the way to the northern horizon of the lake where it stopped again. Suddenly the object moved very quickly (at speeds incapable of a plane) back towards the west where it slowed again, stopped and then headed due north out of sight. There was no sound or contrails at all and I could hear the jets passing at cruising altitude. I took my sunglasses off and checked to make sure there were no reflections. My friend saw it for only a few seconds before he lost it as he didn't have his prescription glasses on. I had no difficulty seeing it, it appeared a a star just after daybreak. But this was mid day and nearly straight over head. I've never seen anything like this before and I'm confident that it was no normal aircraft. I was really disappointed I had forgot my binoculars in my truck.

Dr. Steven Greer of UFO Disclosure Project speaks June 18 in Denver

Steven M. Greer MD, founder and director of The Disclosure Project will be speaking June 18, 7:00 pm in the Tivoli Student Center at Auraria Campus in Denver, Colorado. His presentation “Contact & Disclosure: Countdown to Transformation”, will address environmental upheavals, deteriorating world economies, government instability, and the mysterious year 2012. Greer will also explain why ET contact and disclosure are important to ease humanity through this transformation.

His riveting talk at the campus in July 2008 was a clear sign that government secrecy about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors to Earth was coming to an end. Metallic UFO hovers over Colorado highway

A Colorado witness traveling along southbound I-25 at the C-392 interchange, observed an oddly shaped metallic object hovering just 250 feet in the air, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

While numerous vehicles moved by - all potential witnesses to this event - this witness gave a detailed description. He said the object "was comprised of square shaped beams making up a metallic silver cross of equal dimension on the x and y axis, with a circular shaped ring of the same silver metallic material that encompassed the outside of the cross and connected at the ending points of the cross itself."

The following report is unedited.

CO, March 22, 2009 - Metallic silver cross/ring with lights hovers above highway

On the evening of March 22, 2009, at approximately 19:45 hours, I was traveling southbound on I-25 approximately five miles north of the Loveland, CO area when I noticed a set of lights in the sky that were approximately 250’ above the ground that were remaining stationary. As I traveled closer I was able to see that the lights were part of an aircraft/mechanical object.

This object was directly above the southeast corner of the I-25 to C-392 interchange. The object was comprised of square shaped beams making up a metallic silver cross of equal dimension on the x and y axis, with a circular shaped ring of the same silver metallic material that encompassed the outside of the cross and connected at the ending points of the cross itself. The distance/size across the bottom of the cross/ring section was approximately 50 feet.

There was a large dome light in the direct center of the “cross,” and four smaller lights at the end points of cross sections just prior to where the circular section met the square cross sections.
There was a dark, solid section that extended above the cross/circle, but I was unable to identify any specific details/shape of this dark colored area. It’s height seemed to be about one third to half the size of the width of the craft.

The five lights on the bottom of the craft were solid white, neither blinking nor changing color. The large center light was the lowest part of the craft, with no type of landing gear or runners (such as seen on helicopters) being visible.

The craft was perfectly stationary as it “hovered” in the air, neither tilting nor moving in any specific direction. After I passed by/under it, and traveled for approximately ¼ of a mile, the craft tilted on an approximate 30 degree slant and began to slowly travel towards the west. I could no longer identify/see the craft after five minutes or so.

There were numerous people/cars traveling on the road at this time who also could have seen this craft quite easily, but I have not been able to find any mention of this type of craft or anyone who saw it and/or had the opportunity to photographed or video capture the event.

UFO sightings spark alien invasion fears

Alarmed UK citizens convinced they saw an armada of UFOs in the sky have flooded radio stations with their calls of distress.

Hundreds of people witnessed strange orange orbs hover over Liverpool, north England, on Monday, British tabloid The Sun reports.

The sightings prompted widespread speculation about the possiblity of an alien invasion.

Former policeman Steve Rafferty, 50, and his daughter Emma, convinced they were having a close encounter, filmed the unexplained phenomena on a mobile phone.

Another witness suggested the "alien craft" appeared to be scouting for a place to land, the newspaper reported.

The sightings came as three soldiers reported seeing UFOs spinning over an army base in Shropshire, in the west of the country.

The 13 flying objects were captured on film and are now reportedly being investigated by army officials.

Star-gazer spots "bright orange" UFO above Crawley

AN AMATEUR astronomer who was stunned to see three burning orange objects in the sky thinks they were UFOs.

Adam Smith, of Steyning Close, Northgate, was standing in his garden in the early hours of Sunday morning when he noticed the first Unidentified Flying Object passing through the sky above his house.

The 27-year-old said: "I was in my back garden having a cigarette at about 12.10pm when I looked up and saw this bright orange ball.

"It looked like a satellite burning up in the atmosphere at first but it kept on going.

"It was so bright it looked like it was on fire. My girlfriend freaked out a bit because she thought a plane was on fire.

"We watched it for a couple of minutes then another one came across and another one followed that too. We were watching for a good few minutes."

The eagle-eyed stargazer has been observing space for about 10 years with amateur telescopes and says he has never seen anything like it before.

Adam, a father-of-four, added: "I've seen meteors burning up, satellites flying over and these Chinese lanterns that keep getting mistaken for UFOs and this definitely wasn't anything like that.

"They were pretty big and they were moving about one and half times faster than a satellite would (about 700 miles an hour). I can't explain it, it really took me back."

In 2008, there were eight UFO sightings in West Sussex reported to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), six of which referred to bright orange lights.

Over the years the MoD has received so many orange light sightings from people that it commissioned a report investigating the unexplained phenomena in 2006.

The report attempts to explain the lights as "buoyant charged masses", potentially of gasses and electricity, although warns pilots not to attempt to out manoeuvre the "electrically charged plasmas".

Despite the MoD findings, one UFO specialist, Graham Allan, who has been investigating specific cases, claims the science behind the plasma ball energy theory is flawed.

Mr Allan said: "Sightings like this are on the increase, I'm having a look at three since Christmas in Staffordshire alone.

"I think the main reason for the MoD report is to protect pilots but after speaking to various scientists it seems the science behind it doesn't really add up."

A Map of UFO Sighting Hot Spots in America

Where do UFOs show their blinky lights most often in America? Now a handy map of UFO sightings since the 1940s offers a surprising answer.

As part of Popular Mechanics' special report on UFO sightings, the magazine has put together a map showing where people report UFOs most often. Los Angeles tops the list, which isn't terribly surprising given its proximity to an industry which has churned out hundreds of movies about alien invasion.

Other top cities, like San Diego, are in close proximity to "special use airspace," areas the military reserves for aircraft testing. That might mean residents are more likely to see unexplained things zooming across the skies and report them. In fact, several regions close to special use airspace have high UFO sighting rates.

Popular Mechanics speculates that other areas, like tiny Westmoreland County, PA, have (proportionally) such a huge number of sightings due to local history. An alleged UFO crash happened in that region in the 1950s, and so locals may be more likely to report UFOs to authorities.

IF STANSTED does get the go-ahead for an additional second runway there could be a few uninvited guests trying to land on the new stretch of tarmac.

Avid photographer John Mayer, 61, from Little Hallingbury, has been out with his camera over recent months taking part in his much-loved hobby.

After looking through photographs he had taken of St Mary's Church in Little Hallingbury, he noticed in one some very peculiar shapes in the sky.

He said: "I have seen 'objects' in the sky over many years and in many different locations which could not be called weather balloons or odd shaped clouds. Yes, there is something unknown in our skies, that much is a fact - about 30 years ago, we had lots of UFO sightings in the village."

The latest picture was taken this month after what Mr Mayer describes as a quiet period of five months.

"It seems to go in fits and starts," he said, "Hatfield Forest is the centre of activity but we seem to get a fair amount of 'overfly' in Little Hallingbury.

"Is it from another world is another question altogether. The abilities of the craft would suggest that they could be and there is no longer any solid reason why they should not be visiting us.

"That however, does not constitute proof that they are from another world and until we know that they are going to remain unidentified.

"Until then we must make our own judgement based on what we do know. I am lead to the view that something is visiting us, mainly due to the performance of these aircraft.

The Tucson Mountains UFO flap continues, new sightings

Around two weeks ago All News Web reported on a number of witnesses who saw a rather impressive UFO in the Tucson Mountains area of Arizona. It appears as if whatever it was in sky then has stayed on in the area or returned for another visit, even bringing some friends along this time, prompting many locals to ask what is going on in the skies above them.

Theories abound and the most popular one suggests that the craft are the work secret military projects. Another suggestion based on the conclusions of the investigations by South American Ufologist, Andrea Perez Simondini, regarding the recent Rosario sighting in Argentina where a ‘UFO’ was seen shooting a beam to earth, is that the craft are kites fitted with lighting, flown at night by hobbyists. Of course if neither of these explanations fit we need to consider the possibility that these craft belong to visitors from other planets.

The most recent sightings in the Tucson area occurred on the night of the 21st February. One witness, a 63 year old local woman who describes herself as ‘too old for games’, was at her daughter’s house in the desert north east of Tucson when she and her family saw the UFOs. This occurred Last week and again on the above mentioned date. The first time they were to the south-east of her daughter’s home and the second time they were to the west in the vicinity of penal County Airport.

‘The main light was a large, whitish light and had several orangey red lights that came from it and circled the area. There also were two other white lights in the same area. On two occasions light came out of the main one towards the ground. The white light on the main one would go from a yellowish white to a bright white then back again. It also appeared to change shapes from round to oblong (horizontally) and back. It also had a green and blue along with red lights especially on the bottom’ the witness noted in a rather graphic description. ‘It was real’ she concluded.

The witness took a few photos on her cell phone.

Another witness, a retired businessman from Tucson, also noticed the craft when he stopped his car on the side of the road to fix a tyre on the evening of the 21st of February. ‘I looked up and saw the UFOs in the vicinity of the airport. The things looked pretty hi-tech. I doubt they were kites; the way they flew and looked they were either spaceships or secret Airforce projects. I have never seen anything quite like it’. He noted.

Many ufologists argue that there seems something odd and inherently contradictory about the official story the government rolls out whenever these sightings occur.

'On one hand we are assured that the military would not do anything in populated areas that would confuse or frighten locals and on the other we are assured that the government has no knowledge on the topic of UFOs. Yet the sightings are occurring and unless they are the work of truly world class hoaxers with almost supernatural abilities at keeping their identities secret they are probably either alien craft or secret military operations' one UFO expert commented.

Paul Hellyer is in his downtown Toronto office on a Saturday morning, just as he is the first five mornings of every week, still driven at 85 years of age.

He has been finishing up a book, his 13th, that is part memoir, and so he has been looking back on a remarkable career that once made him Canada's youngest member of Parliament, that took him to key cabinet posts in the governments of Lester Pearson and Pierre Trudeau and that had him run for the leadership of the two main national parties and even form his own political party.

Lately he has not been looking backward - but into the future.

A future in which humans will have to accept they are far from alone in this universe.

Hellyer's 'irrefutable' evidence received a bit of pumping this past week. A Winnipeg group that tracks UFO sightings across Canada says 2008 produced a record number of sightings - 1,004 - a 25 per cent increase from the year before. Ontario and British Columbia were the hot spots, reporting 334 and 272, respectively, while Prince Edward Island had only two mysterious objects flying about, Nunavut one and Northwest Territories none.

And that is just Canadian evidence. There is also a report coming out of the Carnegie Institution in Washington that there may not be just one planet out there somewhere that is capable of creating and sustaining life, but as many as 10 billion trillion planets.

Astronomer Alan Boss says that he and others now believe that almost every star similar to our sun could conceivably have a life-harbouring planet orbiting it.

Boss believes there are 100-billion sun-like stars in our galaxy and 100-billion galaxies in the universe, numbers that would result in Vegas putting the odds far, far greater that there is life out there than that there isn't.

Boss, in fact, predicts that some time within the coming three years or so a planet very much like Earth is going to be found spinning around some distant star.

No sooner had Boss had his say than another cosmologist, Paul Davies of Arizona State University, was suggesting that we may already be sharing Earth with forms of life we cannot even comprehend.

"It could be right under our noses," said Prof. Davies, "or even in our noses."

Let others snort at all this, Hellyer says. He doesn't. He's been a true believer since 2005, when he stunned the cautious Canadian political world by announcing in a speech that, in his opinion, "UFOs are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."

He never believed so in the years that he was minister of defence, but in later years became convinced after watching a documentary on extraterrestrial life by the late Peter Jennings, a Canadian, and after reading a book on the 1947 incident at Roswell, N.M., where many believe a flying saucer crash was covered up by the U.S. military. Hellyer believes American intelligence has systematically sought to block or debunk any information that might convince people that life from other worlds often visits Earth.

"The cosmos is teeming with life," Hellyer believes.

His new book, as yet untitled, will be in three parts, the first part memoir, the second containing his views on religion and the third concerning his thoughts on what went wrong with world's banking and monetary system and how it, along with the environment, might be fixed. The current financial meltdown is almost precisely what Hellyer predicted in a previous book.

In Hellyer's musings about religion, he touches again on the possibility of other worlds, other life forms.

"I think there is a spiritual longing out there," he says. "People are so distressed at the present time by all that is going on in the world. The banking system has fallen apart. People worry there's a possibility of war between the Christian world and the Muslim world. We want something better."

This widespread longing, he suggests, covers everything from people actually hoping there is more intelligent life out there than here all the way to the remarkable rise of Barack Obama in the United States over the past two years.

"People want something with a wider world view," says Hellyer. "That's why Obama has been so well received.

"It's about hope - what we are all looking for."

The book, which he will finish in the next couple of weeks, will also contain a photograph of a UFO.

It was taken late last August, at twilight, from the dock of Hellyer's summer place in Muskoka.

Hellyer was not the photographer but says the man's name is instantly recognizable and that he has signed an affidavit verifying that under no circumstances was the picture rigged or altered electronically.

Hellyer believes, absolutely, that it is more "irrefutable" proof - even though he himself has yet to see a UFO no matter how often he looks up in the hopes of catching a glimpse of something unknown, perhaps unknowable.

"I haven't seen the Taj Mahal, either," says Hellyer.

"But I know it exists."

Canada releases UFO X-Files to the World

The Canadian Government has authorized open public access to thousands of federal government documents concerning UFOs. A total of 9500 digitized documents spanning the years 1947 to the early 1980s have been made available through the Library and Archives Canada website. Titled “Canada's UFOs: The Search for the Unknown” the files include correspondence, reports, memos and procedures, some of which specifically deal with UFOs. The files come from Canada’s National Defense Department, the Department of Transport, the National Research Council, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Canada’s online release of its UFO X-Files follows closely upon the release at the end of January of Denmark's UFO files. Britain continues to release thousands of UFO files through a program of gradual releases it began in May 2007 through its national archives with the most recent being on October 2008. The French Space Agency had earlier announced on March 22, 2007, that it was making public its secret UFO files through a government website.

The important difference between the released Canadian UFO files with other country releases is the inclusion of departmental analyses rather than simply reports of UFO sightings. According to Victor Viggiani from Exopolitics Toronto, who has been monitoring the Canadian Government UFO website since its inception, “The Canadian files do not simply list UFO sightings; they describe actions, meetings and inter-departmental memoranda generated by Canadian officials that attempt to make sense of the considerable onslaught of UFO sightings as well as referencing American problems with keeping abreast of UFO sightings.”

For example, a September 1967 memo titled "Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) - Investigations", was released which stated:

"a number of investigations of the reports suggest the possibility of UFOs exhibiting some unique scientific information or advanced technology which could possibly contribute to scientific or technical research.

Another memo details a UFO sighting at Shag Harbor witnessed by member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and six civilian witnesses on the night of October 4, 1967. The memo describes how “[w]itnesses reported seeing an object 60 feet in length moving in an easterly direction before it descended rapidly into the water, making a bright splash on impact.” The report continued: “A single white light appeared on the surface of the water for a short period of time. The RCMP, with help from local fishermen and their boats, endeavoured to reach the object before it sank completely.”

Undoubtedly the most significant documents are those associated with a 1950-1952 classified investigation and analysis of UFOs by a Department of Transportation team led by Wilbert Smith, a senior radio engineer. In his Project Magnet Report, Smith commented extensively on the flight performance of UFOs that were far in advance to anything known at the time:

"… it is difficult to reconcile this performance with the capabilities of our technology, and unless the technology of some terrestrial nation is much more advanced than is generally known, we are forced to the conclusion that the vehicles are probably extra-terrestrial, in spite of our prejudices to the contrary."

Not all of the information made available through the Canadian archives is completely new to UFO researchers - many having been released in the 1980s in 16mm microfilm form through libraries in Canada and the U.S. The Library and Archive website, however, now provides a comprehensive online resource for the world public and media to scrutinize the Canadian Government UFO X-Files. Canada first began to release UFO files through its online archive in October 2007, and these have quickly increased to its present level of 9500 files. Canada therefore joins a select group of countries that have so far publicly released UFO files through government sponsored websites. As President Obama heads to Canada on February 19, he could take time from his busy schedule to ask Prime Minister Steven Harper for tips on how the U.S. might release to the public its own classified UFO X-Files.

17 Feb 2009 – IL, US – At approximately 1:00 AM on February 16, 2009, I was sitting on the side of my house with my boyfriend. I looked above my neighbor’s house and in the northern sky we noticed something odd. I am used to seeing airplanes pass over the houses but this was no airplane. There were stationary 2 lights in the sky. They appeared to be very high in the sky. I watched them for a few minutes assuming they would move, they did not. The stayed still and blinked a white light. The light on the right side blinked about 5 times very quickly, and then the second would do the same as if answering back. This conversation happened about 4 times. After the blinking stopped the two lights moved to the center and appeared to join. They paused for a few seconds and quickly sped off upward into the dark sky. While this was happening it was silent outside. My boyfriend and I both agree these couldn’t have been regular planes. The way in which they acted was very odd.

16 Feb 2009 – TN, US – Last night at 9:40 pm (Feb. 16, 2009) Kim and I stepped out onto the deck for a few minutes before retiring for the night. We were both looking up at the stars and constellations when suddenly Kim exclaimed, “ Look at those lights. They just suddenly turned on. All of a sudden they just came on.“ While she was talking and pointing I looked and saw three bright lights that had the appearance of powerful mercury vapor lights, which emitted a yellowish-white-orange color in a downward direction as if mounted underneath something. I was surprised at the sight because I think I have seen most aircraft light configuration, but this was strange. She said that it must be an airplane. It was moving toward us, but it was too large to be moving too slow. I told her to keep watching while I went for the camera. When I returned within ten seconds it had moved almost straight above us at about 10 -11 o‘clock angle. As I started to take a shot it began to dim, and I told her that it was going to fade out… but it: Brightened again for 2 to 3 seconds, Went out for a couple seconds, Came back on for 3 to 4 seconds, Went out again for a couple seconds, then a very dim red and green light came on and stayed on. Then I was totally confused because No. 1) This object is moving even slower than an ultra-light plane. No. 2) The on and off light sequence was atypical of common air traffic in our area. No. 3) The sudden appearance of these ominous bright yellowish lights at less than a mile away. And lastly, the fact that it had red-and-green navigation lights, not to mention there was NO SOUND at all. Kim and I both concluded that the behavior definitely was not that of an airplane. Maybe it could have been a blimp at low altitude, but it is a violation to navigate without lights.

16 Feb 2009 – OH, US – I was sky watching from my apartment and noticed an unusual craft flying low in the west.It was bright at first,looked like a big bright star but then it began to blink as it got closer i could see that it had several lights.It went over top my roof and i saw the underneath of it.I saw 1 red blinking light and 1 white blinking light and 5 white non blinking lights.My husband thought at first it was a helicopter because we saw one prior to this,but he left the room and didn't see it come down close.I tried to take pictures but my camera only picked up a glare from the window.This craft would sometimes be stationary,IF it were the same craft as i reported that i saw over the school building.

16 Feb 2009 – CT, US – There is definitely something going on in my own backyard, whenever my family and I see these particular lights it is usually around the same time each time between 6pm and 6:15pm and ends around 11pm and 1pm or maybe longer. This light is very brilliant and I have ruled out that it is a planet or some type of satellite etc; We see this brilliant beautiful sparkling light that changes colors and appears to move just slightly. Please note this is the 3rd time we have seen these lights and each time, especially tonight, we saw multiple planes/jets flying near and around its path, once planes got closer the object seemed to disappear before, but tonight we decided to do a little more investigation and we wanted to get in the car and drive to get a better clearer look, when to our surprise once we got into the object was in the front of our home instead of in back, we were assuming before that it was disappearing when in actuality it was moving to the front as soon as the planes attempted to get closer. Also tonight was more amazing than the previous times we had seen the object, because we actually saw the object do a zig zag type of movement when the planes/jets get closer. Never in my life have I seen at least 4 planes/jets near each other trying to get near this thing!!!! It was so hard to believe we were actually watching this happen. Then all of a sudden another light came from behind the trees and appeared to be rising and we thought it may be another jet but it was going so fast and rising from a very low point. It was going at a rapid speed and I tried to follow it with binoculars but couldn't keep up. But what I did see was a bright light gliding up and it didn't have any type of wing span and then all of a sudden it just too off!! I want to cal someone so bad to ask what is going on with all these planes surrounding this thing, but I don't know who to contact to see if in fact the planes/jets are chasing something or trying to get a better view of what is going on, but I have no idea who to call about this at all without sounding crazy, any suggestions? It seems like the objects are coming more often now, and there is still the mystery of the strange footprints that were in our back yard in late December and early January.

16 Feb 2009 – OH, US – I went outside tonight at about 7:45pm to look at the sky since it was very clear. I saw a number of planes and satellites. All the planes had some combination of red and green lights with strobes and the satellites were just faint little points of lights (like small stars) moving in one direction. At about 8:15 pm I saw a dull orange sphere of light as I was facing south, the object was moving west to east at about 30 degrees above the horizon. It appeared to be uniform in color and moving at a relatively slow speed. It's size was about a 1/4 of a fingernail at arms length. I observed for a bout 2 min before it went out of view behind some trees. I saw 3 other aircraft fly that same general path and they were all identifiable as aircraft having red/green lights with strobes. This one was obviously different. I have never seen a UFO before and certainly not one that I would consider extraterrestrial and I'm not sure this one classifies as such but it was different than all other aircraft that I witnessed tonight and I truly don't know what it was. The only reason I am reporting this is because it matches a report from somebody near the East Coast. I didn't have my camera, so no pics, sorry.

15 Feb 2009 – OH, US – I was sky watching, when i saw a bright(but not nearly as bright as Venus is)star-like light appear over top the school building across the street at 8:30pm on Feb.16 2009.It began to slowly raise up, then stayed still for about 15 minutes over the school.It would brighten,then dim during this time.After about 15 minutes it began to very slowly head east across the area,and proceeding upwards.It also began to blink.I was looking out my big family room window,and when i saw it-i felt compelled to talk to it.Very curious as to what shape it really was up close.

15 Feb 2009 – NC, US – I stepped outside to have a cigarette, and noticed a glow traveling due south about 45 degrees above the horizon. it proceeded to fall glowing a bright silver color, with no other color at an unusually slow rate. After about 1.5 seconds it began to dim and then the intense glow faded to see a remnant traveling for another .5-.7 seconds towards the treeline behind the water tower. The trajectory appeared to be heading into the East side over Charlotte, and from my astronomy background appeared unusual because of the relative speed and color. I seemed about 1/2 the speed of most meteor objects and the duration of visibility after burning also lasted for a longer period. The color was an intense white light that would be a magnitude 5 times brighter than Jupiter ( which is visible just after sunset in the East currently around 7 pm). This could have been a very large meteor that did not burn completely, and the remains may have reached Earth East to South East of Charlotte. This however appeared to be at a slower speed, possibly close to a speed of a visible manmade satellite. [There has been recent news coverage of a 2 satellite collision last week (maybe around Tuesday- Wednesday). Also there has been coverage of close range asteroids that were found last Autumn, and several large objects that entered the atmosphere last October-November 2008. Also, I saw one of these on 10/31/08 at 2:58 am and the color was yellow amber with a faster speed and longer visible duration which appeared to break into several pieces]. What I saw this morning was different than normal in speed and color from previous experiences with meteor phenomenon, and may be part of recent satellite activity. What I thought was most interesting was that it occurred in Charlotte airspace, and could have been spotted on radar.

14 Feb 2009 – TN, US – I was traveling north and noticed object to my left and above me as it passed heading north towards Kentucky then disappeared behind ridge.I also noticed a plane heading east and as object passed the plane it seemed to be at a lower altitude and much larger than the plane. The object was a dull blue/green color,not as bright as a meteor or fireball but it was leaving a vapor trail of the same color but it didn't appear to be smoke or fire and object didn't appear to be on fire either,just a dull glow. The object was traveling at a very high rate and in a straight line and within about 7 to 10 seconds was out of sight.It wasn't dropping out of the sky but was on a parallel course to the ground as it passed me and sustained the same altitude or though it seems.I didn't see it breaking up or any falling debris as it passed by. I knew about the sat. collisions from a few days ago and thought that might be what it was but it seemed to be too large for it to be wreckage.There was no contrails of smoke that lingered after wards either. Not sure what it was.

7 Feb 2009 – IN, US – My wife and I were returning home from the Indianapolis area on 2//7/09. We exited I-465 onto US 31 North around 9 PM. Heading North a bright light caught my eye to the West and a little behind my peripheral vision. As I continued to try to watch this light my first thought was that it was a passenger jet with landing lights on turning back to the airport. But it never turned. After about 10 minutes or so I told my wife to watch this light. This light appeared to be maybe 5 to 10 miles to the West and from my advantage at about 30 to 35 degrees from the horizon. As we continued North we observed this light move to the West at quite a distance to where the light was only a pinpoint of light or disappear completely. Then after a couple of minutes it would come back to its original position. This happened numerous times. The farther North we went the light kept its same orientation. If it were a star, the light would continually fall farther behind us. As we approached the South side of Kokomo the light disappeared completely. We never saw it again as we continued into Miami County.

Haunted Hassayampa Inn

The four-story Hassayampa Inn in Prescott, AZ was named after a nearby river. It has an exterior of red brick trimmed in white, and its own bell tower. The bell tower seems to be the source of a well known haunting at the Hassayampa.
Shortly after the Hassayampa Inn opened on November 20, 1927, they say a newlywed couple checked into the hotel to spend their honeymoon. The husband stepped out to buy ‘a pack of cigarettes’ and never returned to his bride. ‘Faith’ as they call her, waited restlessly for three days. Depressed and all alone, the deserted woman hung her self in ill-fated bell tower.

Now guests and employees see her wandering in the halls wearing an off-white wedding gown. They report feeling her presence in Room 426—which has been named ‘Faith’s Room’. Lights turn on and off –objects seem to move or fly by—and sometimes her apparition has appeared sobbing near the doorway to the balcony.

I had my own encounter with Faith a few years ago when I was up in Prescott on business. The hotel staff knew I was a paranormal investigator and was eager to see what would happen when I stayed in ‘Faith’s Room’. I noted that every time I put my key in the door (they since have gone keyless) a spark of static electricity would shock me. EMF readings maintained a steady 2.9 in the room throughout the evening. At midnight, I turned off the lights and TV. I crawled into bed and settled in for a good night’s sleep.

Suddenly, about 1:00am I woke from a sound sleep to the TV blaring. All the lights in the room were turned back on. I hopped out of bed, turned everything back off and laid back under the covers. Then I felt someone—presumably Faith—sit down on left side of the bed. I slid my foot under the covers and pushed her off the bed. She sat back down in the same spot. Again, I pushed her off with my foot.

I felt a supernatural battle about to unfold. To my right, I could hear ‘someone’ in the bathroom filling a glass with water. Then, there was a presence hovering over me with the glass. I covered my face expecting to be drenched—yet peeking thru the cracks of my fingers—as I didn’t want to miss what was about to happen. I saw the glass tip, but nothing poured out! As soon as it tipped over, it faded away and disappeared. There was no sign water or the glass. Faith had her revenge and all was quiet in the room once more.

Other staff members speak of a tall man dressed in a long brown coat they call the ‘Night Watchman’. He has been seen sitting in the hotel lounge reading a newspaper. A staff member spoke to him, but he did not respond. When she turned to speak to him again, he was gone. The lonely looking man has also been seen in the lobby, and witnesses say they have watched him walk through the lounge to shake and secure the entrance doors.

So, next time you are headed up to Prescott, reserve a room at the Hassayampa Inn. Check into ‘Faith’s Room’—if you’re lucky, you might have a ghostly encounter of your own. And don’t worry, the night watchman will make sure you are locked in safely for the night.

Fla. man issued 50 traffic citations in 1 day

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Elvis has left the vehicle. A man was arrested on more than 50 traffic citations — all in one day. Police said Elvis Alonzo Barrett, 46, fled from police trying to stop him for a traffic violation Thursday morning. Police said he ran through red lights, crashed into another car and a fence. Police said they found crack cocaine and a crack pipe in his car.

Barrett faces several charges, including fleeing and eluding and reckless driving.

He was also issued more than 50 traffic citations on charges including speeding, running red lights, and not wearing a seat belt.

Police said Barrett has a lengthy criminal history and his driver license was suspended.

A phone number listed for him was not in service Thursday night.

Brightlingsea: Police officer saw ‘alien craft’

A police officer is one of a number of witnesses to report UFO sightings across Essex.

The unnamed officer’s account of what they saw has been published by the Ministry of Defence as it reveals all of the reports it received regarding “alien craft” in 2008.

The officer claims to have spotted strange lights in the sky above Brightlingsea on New Year’s Eve.

It was described as a “bright orange/yellow light in the sky”. It was “quite large” and about 1,500 to 2,000 ft up in the air.

“[It] moved very slowly in a half circle then stopped over the water between Brightlingsea and East Mersea,” the report continues.

“[It] shot straight up and disappeared very fast.”

Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator with the Ministry of Defence, said a sighting by a serving police officer added a certain level of credence to the report.

“Most UFO reports involving yellow or orange lights turn out to be Chinese lanterns and New Year’s Eve is certainly a day that many were let off,” he explained.

“However, these drift with the wind, so the movement reported in this case tends to rule out this explanation.

“It’s difficult to see how a lantern would stop and then accelerate away upwards so rapidly. Additionally, one would expect a police officer to be familiar with Chinese lanterns.”

He added: “It would be interesting to know whether anything unusual was picked up on radar.”

Essex Police could not confirm whether the officer is serving with the force, or works for a neighbouring force such as the Metropolitan Police or the Royal Military Police.

It comes just a week after a police officer on duty reported spotting the Beast of Essex in Wivenhoe.

The MoD has recorded dozens of UFO sightings across the UK, with a total of eight in Essex.

On October 11, another resident reported seeing two bright lights flying northbound over the A12, in the Colchester area.

The report said: “As they got nearer, they could only be described as two balls of fire.”

It is not just north of the county that has been receiving alien visits.

Groups of strange orange lights have been allegedly spotted in Laindon, Loughton and Hainault.

The most mysterious sighting was in the Stanford-le-Hope area, where someone called the MoD on April 28, to report a strange light that “looked like a cloud that was flying around making jerking movements”.

BOVARD, PA - JAN. 3, 2009 - A cylinder-shaped UFO hovered just 250 feet above the ground here in broad daylight as a man watched from his car in this small community just outside of Greensburg.

Ufologist Stan Gordon got the witness call soon after the event - which occured at about 1:30 p.m. He said the witness - a businessman who was traveling in the area - first saw the object on the opposite side of Route 30 from Greensburg's Westmoreland Mall - where the two-lane Donahoe Road winds behind a Sheraton Hotel into the country side.

The man was driving along Donahoe Road when he saw the object at a low level moving from his right to left. He made a left turn onto Crows Nest Road and stopped in the middle of the road to get a better look at it. The man moved a little further down the road and was eventually about 250 feet from the object, which hovered about 250 in the air.

The following is Investigator Stan Gordon's account based on witness testimony.

The 2009 year has started out with a detailed, low level daylight UFO observation. The incident occurred on January 3, 2009, at about 1:30 p.m., near the small community of Bovard, in Westmoreland County, which is located just a few miles from the city of Greensburg.

The witness is a businessman who was traveling through the area at the time. The man was driving his vehicle down Donahoe Road and was talking on the cell phone when he noticed, to his left, what he thought was an aircraft moving very low across the sky. The aerial object appeared to be moving over Bovard toward the tunnel, so it was moving from the right toward the left. The driver made a left off of Donahoe Road, and turned onto Crows Nest Road, from where the object could be seen ahead. He was so dazed by what he was observing, that he stopped in the middle of the road.

After the initial phone call from the witness, we met at the location of the sighting where I conducted the second interview . I was told that the object seemed to be hovering just above the trees and the railroad trestle. The witness watched the object hover, and was trying to rationalize to himself what this object was. The man described what he saw as appearing bright metallic, and something like a cylinder in shape, "kind of like a hot dog with a fin on the back."

The witness told me that he drove a little further down the road to get a closer look from where he could see the object unobstructed. The witness estimated that he was about 250 feet away from the object. He also felt that the object was also about 250 feet in the air.

As he watched, the object inverted itself. As it was explained to me, the object flipped up from the bottom to the top. The witness stated, "when it inverted, and the fin disappeared, it looked like a totally different craft." The object looked more like a saucer with some type of ridges or bumps, or rivets on it, which appeared to define the object. These structures could possibly have been ports, windows, or circles.

They were seemingly rounded, about 10 to 12 in number, and were evenly spaced. They were located toward the lower edge of the object, but apparently not underneath it. From the observer's distance to the object, he estimated it to be about 15 to 20 feet in length, and it did not appear to be very wide.

As the object hovered up and down, it dropped to about 150-200 feet in the air. It then seem to come to a complete stop. It continued to hover about 10 seconds over trees, then the object suddenly moved from a hovering level position, then moved to the left, then "in a backwards J-shape motion, it shot up approximately 50 to 60 feet" higher in the sky. After the object had accelerated, it moved off in the direction of Greensburg.

The duration of the entire observation was about two minutes. The witness was very upset after his observation. He told me that he became very shaky and nervous. After his sighting, the man went home and told his family about what he had seen. He said they looked at him like he was nuts. He said that by then, his body was so shaken and nervous, ''and my stomach was completely sick."

The witness had called in the initial report to see if others in the area had reported what he had seen. So far, this is the only report locally for that date.

Thunderbird UFO spotted flying above Bournemouth

Brit UFO experts went into orbit on Thursday in search of a Thunderbird, which was recently photographed flying high above Bournemouth.

The picture was taken by a professional photographer named Mark Wild.

The mystery craft, bright orange-red like Thunderbird 3, was caught in a head-on shot on camera hovering above the resort on the Dorset coast.

The stunning snap emerged on the day when it was revealed that a dossier made public by the Ministry of Defence showed UFO sightings doubled last year.

Excited alien-spotters hailed the picture as one of the best they had ever seen.

It is an amazing picture, one of the best Ive seen in some time, the Sun quoted flying saucer expert Nick Pope, an ex-MoD worker, as saying.

Most pictures are taken at night and just show vague lights.

With this you can clearly make out a structure to the thing and it is a classic UFO shape, he added.

Mark, who was taking arty pictures of seafront buildings, did not even realise it was there until he got home and looked at his photos on his home computer.

Mark, 35, of Poole, said: When I pulled the pictures up I noticed something there. When I enlarged it I saw what I can only describe as a UFO.

I have shown it to quite a few friends and nobody has the faintest idea what it is.

Im pretty open-minded but to think I might have caught an actual UFO is amazing, he added.

Danish UFO files now open to public

The top secret UFO files compiled by Denmark’s Air Force over the past 30 years have finally been declassified and opened to public perusal. Some 15,000 reported UFO sightings are detailed in the files, offering plenty for UFO buffs to drool over. The Danish government decided to release the files because they felt “there was nothings secret in the files.”

The Copenhagen Post reports that most of the sightings remain unidentified because there was not enough precise information to make a judgment. Many of the sightings, however, were found to be aircraft, weather phenomenon and the like. But not all the sightings were over Danish territory, and rumor has it one sighting over Greenland is drawing particular attention from UFO enthusiasts.

The Greenland incident happened on 5 January 1981, when a square flaming object appeared over the frozen tundra near Thule Air Base. The object disappeared as suddenly as it appeared. Interestingly, the neighbouring American military base recorded the exact same thing.

Danish Air Force Captain Thomas Petersen is an expert on the UFO files, and told the Copenhagen Post that the Air Force’s primary concern is defending Denmark against outside threats. “UFOs are not a known threat,” Peterson teasingly commented.
