The Tall ships are in town, but it seems as though people could care less, considering the incredibly low turnout. Jet is performing at Paradise tonight, The Offspring and Sum 41 at the Tsongas Arena and Buddy guy is at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom as well. Sox lost sole possession of 1^st place and are now tied with the Yanks after falling 8-6 to the Royals. Shepard Fairey is in court today for his massive counts of vandalism around the Boston area.

Jacko is to be buried with one white glove, but where? The family will decide today. Will Rasheed work out better than Starbury? One can only hope. Jim Carrey will be a grandpa soon, his daughter Jane is pregnant. LAPD Chief Bill Bratton is the first to officially mention the chances of a homicide when it comes to MJ. Blood: The Last Vampire, I Love You Beth Cooper and Bruno all come out in theaters today.

A couple months ago legendary Morgan Freeman, had a few drinks and got in a car accident with woman that wasn't his wife. About that time, National Inquirer said he had a long time affair with his step granddaughter. Now it's been revealed that he is divorcing his wife, who always allowed an open relationship, and he's going to marry the step granddaughter, E'Dena Hines. Morgan and current wife have been raising her since she was a kid. When she was in her teens, they began having an affair. It's been going on for about ten years now. The age difference between the two? 45 years. Yes, you got that right, 45!

Michael Jackson is still the lead story in the world of pop culture, it's ridiculous. Someone put Latoya in charge of putting together MJ's burial outfit. Latoya's really took charge with these arrangements. She will release a statement with where and when they're going to bury him today.

Pearl Jam is releasing a new album soon, which is somewhat of a Target exclusive. Now they've also released a number of tour dates for August and September. When are they coming to Boston, you may ask? Well, looks like they forgot about the tour dates, but not coming to Boston, instead you'll have to come all the way to Philly.

Celebrity Birthdays: Arlo Guthrie is 62, Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys is 55, Bela Fleck is 51, Adrian Grenier is 32, and Jessica Simpson's huge thighs are 29 years old.

Henry Santoro's 180: Covering Half of Everything

If you're wandering around Beacon Hill area, you may have come across a couple of homeless people. But one man in particular, a 62-year old man, has been seen holding a sign that says "I'm not a drunk or a bum, I had a brain aneurism and just got brain surgery. I'm trying to get my life back on track but I can't work because of my instability from the surgery. I have four children that are in a shelter, so please, any little bit helps." Wow, finally a panhandler that has a little heart and it's out to badger you.

Before having to resort to panhandling, 62-year-old Denny used to drive an old pick up truck around Boston, picking up scraps of metal from people's trash and making a little money off of them. One day, he lucked out, picking up two planter boxes and getting 450 bucks for them. Except that these planters were taken from the alleyway next to Tom Brady's house and that they were brand new, worth 8 thousand dollars. He turned himself in having discovered this and now owes $333.33 a month until he's all squared away with Tom. What we just don't get, is why a couple worth millions is worrying about a homeless man paying him back, when he can't even take care of himself or his family?

Also, why isn't the delivery guy at fault? Our UPS guys wouldn't leave 500 dollar laptops at our door, so why would they think its okay to leave 8,000 dollar planters next to the house?! That seems like the biggest fault here! We say if you happen to see Denny (a caller says he likes to roam around the Mass General area), give him some money for himself, not for Brady. Also, give him the number to the WTF line.

He can't go back to junk collecting because of the brain aneurism. It was fair game if they were sitting in an alleyway and didn't have an 8,000 price tag on it. Tom Brady ought to give him 8k, get him a job at Gillette.

The Sandbox Office Report

Bruno: The biggest movie of the weekend, Bruno is the same deal as Borat, except in this movie he had to work a lot harder to prank people. It's not as good as Borat, also much shorter. It's like Jackass, you can't top the first one. But this is more of a movie and pieces things together. Either the end will offend you to no end or you'll laugh your ass off. On seeing the full frontal nudity, Ed notes, "he's a lucky man! That thing he was waving around made me jealous, plus he's got such a hot wife!"

I Love Beth Cooper: Nerdy high school validictorian professes his love for the hott cheerleader while he's giving his speech in front of the entire school. We love Hayden, mostly because we love Heroes, but this looks simply awful. Shouldn't she be choosier with films since she's a big star now? The boys predict she's going to get the nom noms like Kelly Clarkson and Jessica Simspon and explode in the hip/thigh region.

Blood: The Last Vampire: This movie is from the guy who did Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and looks just like you would expect it to. This is exactly what Ed likes, stupid gore-packed action movie, but we're going to pass thank you.

4 in 5 Americans say it's wrong to have an affair outside your marriage is wrong, while the remaining 1 in 5 are most likely taking part in one at some point or another. Marriage just seems to be getting more and more superficial, with the number of divorces and affairs that happening lately. Do you admit to cheating on your significant other to them directly?

If you are in a committed relationship, go on a business meeting, get drunk, see a hot girl with a nice rack, what's expected? If you tell your significant other, they can hold it over your head forever. It's less the guilt and more the threat of it coming up later that scares Charlie.

Caller Jack said, "I was a chronic giver upper and admit to it. It's a great call because the one time he didn't tell and he ended up in an even worse situation where he had to make up a bigger lie for every lie he had already used." Another chimed in, "You start with one little lie and then you lie to get out of that one and you just need to give yourself a clean slate for the next relationship."

Another bewildered caller said, "It doesn't make sense to me. If you're been married for ten years, had one rough night and fooled around, a one time thing, why would you go home and ruin the past ten years? It's a don't ask, don't tell." Another says, "If you're not cheating, you're cheating yourself."

Caller Julie wanted to promote the swinging community, saying it's not natural to have just one partner. "We express the love we have for each other by allowing each other to have other partners." "Swingers are usually unattractive," said Ed and she agrees. "You need to have really bad facial hair."

Final Consensus: It seems like our Sandboxers are okay with cheating if it's a one time thing. Looks like we might be making up that 20% of cheaters! And most are keeping mum about it too!

The Fetish flea market comes to town with vendors, contests and demos, put on by the New England Leather Alliance. They are offering classes with rope, latex and ...care and feeding of a puppy? Huh. Looks like there could be a David Carradine memorial in the works too! Guys talk about how role play never goes how you think it will go. Instead of being hot and sultry, you end up screaming about the smoldering wax on your nipple or bleeding gash on your ass from the whip. Make sure to hit up a 7/11 convenience store for free Slurpee day tomorrow.

Meet Duval, he's on the cover of the Boston Herald today. 31 million people watched Michael Jackson's memorial yesterday, less than people that watched the Princess Diana funeral and the Obama inauguration. Red Sox beat the A's 5-4 with special thanks to Papi for his three-run homer in the 6^th inning. 16 million kids from the ages of 2-16 surfed the Internet in May alone. It looks like Shia LaBeouf has been cast to play Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming Facebook movie.

Rasheed Wallace signed a three-year contract to the Celtics and will have a paycheck of 5.8 million next season. Now That's What I Call Music, Volume 31 was released today with songs from Brad Paisley, Wilco and the Black Eyed Peas. Jealousy and financial troubles seemed to have been behind McNair's murder. Lance Armstrong is still a fraction of a second behind the leader in the Tour de France.

More trouble for Hogwarts: Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) has swine flu, Daniel Radcliffe is an atheist, Emma Watson was giving a peep show at a premiere and Slytherin sidekick Jamie Waylett, who was caught growing 10 marijuana plants, could be facing up to 14 years in jail. But wait, the Harry Potter series isn't over yet! Sentence him after the last book becomes a movie!

As much as we hate the Black Eyed Peas, you have to kind of respect them for fessing up after stealing another director's music. Ed says if only Coldplay would do the same, Fletcher shoots him a glare. The best selling album of the week is Now That's What I Call Music, Vol. 31. That and Kids Bop do unbelievably well. Seriously, we don't believe it. Vinyl sales could reach 2.8 million this year, and that calculation is newly released ones alone. Last year had the most vinyl sales since 1991.

A Boston man was arrested yesterday after robbing a blind man at an ATM. The accuser put the blind man into a headlock, took the money he just got at the ATM and ran. When the cops showed up to the scene, the first thing they asked the victim was "What did he look like?" It's not a punch line either. That's a double whammy. Here's this guy, he's down on his luck and then they have to rub in the fact that he's blind. Fortunately they used surveillance cameras that helped them find the man. Henry just feels bad for this guy, not necessarily a hate crime though he seemed to have taken advantage of the man's blindness. Braille is really all around us and we just have no idea.

Caller Mike tells us about when he was partnered up with a woman to play tennis who had no hands and literally duct taped a racket to her arm. She actually wasn't bad at all and when she made a really nice shot he mindlessly said "Nice hand!" Oh, oh wait...It happens to everyone once in a while.

Maura from Idolator talks Music and Gossip

Having been dissatisfied with the set on the NINJA tour, Trent Reznor says he is going to do some super small shows in NY, Chicago and LA. He just wasn't happy with how he finished things off on tour with Jane's Addiction. Reznor has also returned to the Twitter world, with the name calling and all. The Weather Channel is changing their forecast background music so they can appeal to ‘young people'. Their new playlist includes Phish among other crazy things you wouldn't partner together with the 5-day forecast.. MJ was in an Eric Roberts film "Miss Cast Away" about a plane full of beauty pageants members that crashes on an island. He is Agent MJ (a parody of his character Agent M in Men in Black II), and instructs them to destroy the arc in order to get off the island. What??

Qdoba Mega Robo Thunder Phone Query

200 jail inmates were evacuated from the Cambridge jail to other jails in the Boston area after damaging the fire-sprinkler system in the building. Prior to this, 15 inmates began coming down with flu-like symptoms and as these inmates were being transported to hospitals, a few others back at the jail got angry and began smashing the sprinklers and tearing pipes from the walls, which lead to massive flooding. Although the flooding occurred on the 7^th floor, it found its way into the building's frameworks and did some hefty damage.

The jail was built in the 70's and was made to hold up to 160 inmates (mind you, it was jam packed with 403 despite that). Today 187 inmates faced with serious charges are going to be transported to the district court. Apparently the reason they went haywire was because they thought there was an outbreak of swine flu and that no one was doing anything about it. After having been evacuated, they discovered the building was beyond any possible renovation. It so happens that there is asbestos in the building, which is a toxic fiber that can cause serious illnesses and even lung cancer. Do you care if there's asbestos in the jail?

Charlie says it's cruel and unusual punishment to keep them in a building that is so very dangerous to their own health. A caller mentions that we're not talking about serious criminals here. Another caller noted that, "If they get sick it's going to be on us, we're going to be paying for it. Plus, the swine flu is probably the least of their worries in that building."

Final Consensus: Okay so they probably shouldn't get asbestos and sue Massachusetts's ass, but don't complain, you got yourself into that 4x6 jail cell.

How well does Shiny Toy Guns know Shiny Toy Guns?

If they answer questions correctly about themselves, the callers will win STP tickets. Can it get any better than that? You don't even have to do a thing, although you can lose for doing nothing as well.

Jeremy and Mikey of Shiny Toy Guns answer general questions about the band and get a little stumped when it comes to the nitty gritty of fellow band member, Chad.

Ray says they know the answer to know made their website. Yes they did. How many guitars does Chad have. Ray says they don't know. 18/17. Both incorrect. 28! Congrats to Ray, he won STP tickets!

Congrats to Ray, who really lucked out when the guys answered with the name of the company that put together their website. They did not in fact know that Chad has a collection of 28 guitars, their guesses were down in the teens. Ray won a pair of tickets to see the Stone Temple Pilots show next week at the Tsongas Arena and five callers got on the guest list to see Shiny Toy Guns tonight!

The Challenger's Choice: "Electioneering" by Radiohead, he likes the title, likes the album, Ok Computer. The song is all about voodoo economics, has a great guitar riff, strong beat, and he trusts he can rely on our vote for this and the mayoral election. "Did he pick it or did his young, hip staffers chose it?" He does in fact have the album, he doesn't listen to a lot of music but Radiohead is one of the bands he's followed closely.

The Champion's Choice: "Rock El Casbah" by Rachid Taha, for the past two weekd has gone with American classics, but opted to go in a different direction. He could've just gone with "Rock the Casbah", but decided to get deeper and chose the Arabic version.

And the Winner Is: Sam Yoon, the new My Song champion! And we can't wait to see what else he's got up his sleeve alongside Radiohead! He's got our vote hands down!

Massachusetts is has the 19^th worst traffic in the states as well as the most people not wearing seat belts. A Boston man lied about being in new Orleans during Katrina so he could get money from the government. Would you like to help pay for the MJ memorial service? LA is accepting tax deductable donations to fund it, because God knows LA can't do it. Also, MJ is missing, so if you find an unattended shiny gold casket, say something. The Will Forte SNL skit is said to be becoming a full length movie and could star Ryan Phillippe or Val Kilmer.

Beckett lead the Sox to a 5-2 victory. Manny returned to the majors last night only to get tossed right afterwards. Lance Armstrong is one second and one testicle away from the winner. Happy 39^th birthday to Beck. The English Beat is at the House of Blues tonight with Reel Big Fish and Supervillians. Ryan Cabrera is at Café 939 at Berklee. Stellastarr* is of course at the Lansdowne Pub. The TN Titans are opening up the stadium for two days so fans can mourn the death of Steve McNair. A cell phone store in Mexico was robbed, the man took the hollowed out display phones.

Anyone remember Bop'n wrestle? For those of us that were born in the late 80's/90's and missed the phenomenon that Ed recalls so pleasantly, here's the pixeled out, joystick controlled game that consumed Ed's childhood:

MJ is not in the ground yet, but I think we've finally got a little bit of closure, although he seems to currently be missing. The public doesn't know where the casket is, but the family must know, although his family does consist of Latoya, Janet and Tito... Al Sharpton gave a nice long speech, thanking Michael: "I want his three children to know, your daddy wasn't strange. It was strange what he had to deal with." Michael's daughter Paris spoke, "Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much." She said that she wanted to speak because she was so emotionally overtaken by this. Black Eyed Peas were accused of plagiarism with "Party All the Time", using the exact same keyboard and chords as "Mancry" by Freeland, which came out yesterday as well. The Black Eyed Peas haven't commented on it yet.

Henry Santoro's 180: Covering Half of Everything

67% of Massholes don't wear them. NH is the only state with a higher percentage and they don't have any laws about seat belts. There's a push in Mass to buckle your seat belt, because click it or ticket just isn't doing the job. What they're going for is being able to pull over someone for not buckling up as a primary offense. Henry says he doesn't buckle up because as kids, he would crawl all over the backseat, fly from side to side on each turn. There also wasn't airbags or automatic windows back then. He's made some adaptations to modern technology, like getting a cell phone, but he thinks if he's lived this long, why start buckling now?

With the laws possibly getting stricter, wouldn't he be motivated to buckle up now? His new motivation is that he has to give his daughter Sophie a dollar every time he doesn't click it, and she's getting wealthy pretty fast. Ed has no sympathy if Henry goes through a windshield. Can Henry Santoro fit through the windshield of a PT Cruiser?

Chris Forsberg with Sports

Forsberg isn't certain he'll be able to leave the baby for a couple hours to make an appearance at the party tonight, so Fletcher reminds him that a little band called The Killers opened up for Stellastarr* five years ago! Forsberg recalls another big event coming up- the one-year anniversary of his relationship with the Sandbox.

And on to sports! He did not think that Rashid would come here, but it's a good sign that free agents are willing to come here. He just doesn't know if it's the move to get you back to the NBA finals. And just as he tells us how he got the Kraken drunk last night so he wouldn't be awake in time to interrupt Forsberg, the friendly old sea monster comes by, a little angrier than usual!

Corey of Boston was the tenth caller and won 2 tickets to see the Offspring this Friday at the Tsongas Arena as well as a dinner date with Offspring's guitarist Noodles before the show! If you weren't the winner today, then you lost your chance! The Kraken has waved his last goodbye, who knows if we'll ever see him again!

Charlie reveals that Fletcher and Ed don't get reggae and he talks about the first time he heard Bob Marley at 14 and the authenticity and simplicity to Marley's music. Qdoba Mega Robo Thunder Phone Query

Many families Ed was with over the weekend have known him since he was born and have seen him throughout his boyishly lanky childhood. His mom and family friend give him a greeting of "you've filled out". He's not necessarily fatter; he's just doughier, a little squishy. Is it rude to tell someone that they've gained weight?

Special Ed loves his Felix pizza and Xbox. Packing the pounds hasn't hurt in the ladies department, but it hurts his self esteem. He's estimating that he's gained 17 pounds in the last two years. His weight gain has happened in the past two years, the Sandbox two-year anniversary is coming up, any correlation there? He is a product of his environment.

One caller shared that when she went home, Mom put a scale on the passenger seat of the car on her way out of the driveway and said "I just wanted to motivate you". What kind of relationship do you need to have with them in order to tell them this? Many callers agreed that they know already that they're getting doughy and ought to hit the gym, you're just killing their self esteem by making it public. This is especially the case with women. "If you're married, can't you have a relationship where you can tell your wife?" Fletcher wonders. "Not if you want to have sex ever again," says Ed. You have to motivate yourself with some kind of challenge. With that, Ed challenges any 23-28 year old, single, female personal trainers to take on Ed and whip him back to his full potential.

Final Consensus: Don't tell them they're fat, but accompany them to the gym or cook them up a fresh salad for dinner. Don't make he or she feel worse about himself unless you can both laugh it off afterward. And definitely never tell a woman she looks preggers unless she's telling you what she's naming the baby.

Game of the Day: "Name that Tune"

Callers have to pick an opponent, either Ed or Fletcher. They will chose how much of the clip to play and must name the tune in that amount of time. In the first round, Alex of Cambridge made the bad choice of only hearing 2 seconds and lost right then and there. Round 2, Fletcher kicked butt. Round 3 was Ed's specialty, punk rock! Ed just couldn't think of the name of the Rancid song and beat himself up over it! Caller Justin knew it and won himself a pair of tickets to next week's STP show in Manchester, NH!

The Box of Sounds

Baggage handlers at United Airlines in Chicago broke the $3,500 Taylor guitar of Dave Carroll, lead member of Sons of Maxwell. Charlie says the guitar is not the loss, but the fact that he actually had to go to Nebraska of all places. United ought to at least repair something, but will probably just give him a flight to somewhere that sucks. What we're wondering is why didn't he sue and get a crap load of money rather than make a video on YouTube? Perhaps that's the only way he could get people to listen to his band?

Amanda from Stellastarr* call us from the road!

Amanda, the bassist of the lucky band playing for the best show of the year, the Sandbox two-year anniversary show tonight at the Lansdowne pub call in on her way into Boston. Charlie always likes to go to bands Wikipedia pages and learned that singer Sean had to alter how he sings. Amanda confirms that he was having a hard time singing at a higher register, but he does it anyway. Although they'll be right across from Fenway, they're not Red Sox fans. We need to let the Sox game wrap up before we can really stop rocking. The risk with this is the Sandboxers and Stellastarr* getting bombed before the performance. Fletcher and Ed saw the band a couple years ago, what should we expect? Will there be pyro? Midgets on tricycles? "No," says Amanda, "but it'll still be a great show."
