I have just found out I am pregnant, and am in a bit of an unpredicted pickle. My boyfriend and I sort of planned for a baby but now that I’m actually pregnant, he said he’s changed his mind about wanting one. I was also hit by a car a few months ago and have back injuries that are preventing me from working at the moment. I’m about to be booted off my health insurance, he refuses to cover me under his, I can’t work and he is being totally unsupportive at least from an emotional standpoint. He moved in with me knowing that I had this injury and that even if I was able to keep my job I would have my hours cut back. I’ve been babysitting to make extra money and keeping up with house work and stuff but he is just so unappreciative of what I do. My attorney also told me that I can’t get disability benefits and basically that I need to get welfare…which is completely UNDESIRABLE. I have no idea what to do.

The book was a non-fiction life/romance book, kind of an easy read. The main characters name was Wanda, she had moved away from her parents with an abusive husband who she eventually left, she had an injury in a courtroom that landed her in the hospital in a coma for 2 weeks where she met a lawyer who felt badly for her bc she was alone. She got got fired from her job and took a settlement with which she purchased a Santa photograph studio that was run at her friend, Bones’ (a humorus/crotchety older black man) bookstore. When Washington resident Mica Craig headed to the Clarkston Walmart on Friday, he was only looking to pick up some mulch for his medical marijuana growing business . Unfortunately, he also ended up leaving with a rattlesnake bite. The 47-year-old was out in the parking lot garden center when he came upon the Walmart rattlesnake, according to KIRO radio. He bent down to pick up a stick , but when that stick bit his hand, he realized it was a snake. He then started “screaming bloody murder.” Luckily, a nearby shopper acted fast and got Mica Craig to a local emergency room. It was there that doctors initially diagnosed it as a “dry bite” and sent him home with instructions to come back in case of swelling, according to Reuters

My sister and her husband have two preschool aged kids and moved out of state for a new job… her husband has since been fired after an injury and is suing the company. They have been borrowing money from family, and have been behind on their bills for years now (since before the move).
Thing is they are using my mom’s car after agreeing to make the payments, but of course they have not made the payments for the past three months (and have been late making most of the payments in the past). My mom knows they are over a year past due on the payments for their washer and dryer rental, and 2 months late on their electric bill. Still they decided to drive home (20 hours) to go house hunting and visit, they also went to a playoff basketball game, and have stayed in hotels for days now…. They vaguely said they are getting a settlement, but they have yet to pay any of their past due bills.
This car payment situation is wrecking my step-dad’s credit, but he won’t do anything about it because he doesn’t want to upset my mom I guess. My mom will call me to complain about the letters they are receiving for the car payment… but I don’t think she’s ever had a direct conversation with them about paying that bill.
The thing with me and my sister is that she will only call – or text usually- when things are going well – like to send pictures of them at the game, or the kids at the zoo, or about the trip. She’s always been competitive with me and compared herself to me or just been totally bitchy anytime I have something important going on (graduations, wedding….) So, I’m afraid that she just goes along with what her husband wants to do in order to look good, even if they can’t afford it.
How do you distance yourself from people like this without snubbing the whole family? I’m tired of her general attitude and the drama that comes with it, but my mom wants us all to be close (it’s like they are a package deal). I’m flying my mom out to stay with me for a month in August (my husband and I also live out of state and we’re having a baby) and I know that my sister is going to try to make things difficult because she doesn’t like to be left out, but I don’t want her around because she is just too hard to get along with… Last year she flew out to be with me and my mom for my graduation and she was very difficult and my husband was annoyed that she only wanted to talk about herself (he had to spend a bit of time with them while I was doing school stuff) – and of course she couldn’t actually afford to make that trip considering that they are still having trouble paying their bills. So, I don’t think that finances will be a factor in her deciding that she wants to come visit when the baby is born – How can you tell family you just don’t want them coming to see the baby and stay with you? (especially if my mom is already going to be there)????

ok my son is going on 4 months old,the mother and i were never married however i was at the hospital and signed a paternity affadavit thus paternity was established,her and i broke up on april 9th 2012 due to her emotional issues accusing me of sleeping with my ant,getting upset and going crazy when i didnt want to sleep with her etc.
ok since our break up we did get along and before i got my current part time job on april 16th my son was at my house with my ant,uncle and i were i stay and pay rent he would be here for hours at a time she would even stay here until 2 or 3 in the morning with him however i got my job due to us living apart i was ordered to pay child support, on april 28th she brought our son over i hung out with him for a few hours then i had to leave to work at my part time job she calls me later that night about a lie i told her 5 years earlier and literally started telling me she has all the parental rights i wont see my son which she then changed to i have to see him at her house. I however grew tired of it and went And filed for joint legal custody and reasonable vistation didnt even put her down in the motion but here are the facts about this case
1.she told me she was pregnant on june 16th i told her i would be there for her and was throughout the hwole pregnancy going to every appt.,ultrasounds etc.
2.i financially and emotionally supported her during her pregnancy telling her i wanted to take a relationship slow this did not sit well with her as she proceeded to tell me she hoped i didnt take being a father slow thus beginiing the long period of mental abuse.
3.im the one who bought everything for the child including the crib which is at her house which she never used because she sleeps with my child in the bed with her she is a bigger woman so i fear it may result in his injury
4.in her response to the custody motion she has claimed she fears what i would do to the baby if he kept crying but yet in the same motion response she claims she wants me to live on my own so it could just be her and i as she is upset i get help with him by my family while her family dont help her why would she want me to live on my own if she fears i will hurt him??
5.everything was fine even after that as she kept asking for me back when i went to her house to see my son literally sending texts saying the same thing,due to our court date not being until june 4th i got along with her in fear of not seeing my son in that time period.she showed up at places i hung out called my house things in that matter but dont forget she is in fear that i will hurt him
6.due to me not wanting to stay the night with her on may 13th 2012 she said she didnt want a relationship no more which i told her is what i been telling her all along im only allowed to see my son at her house for 2 hours then i have to leave i asked to see him the next day for a ocuple hours she said ya then i asked to do it in publich which she says she couldnt cause she didnt have a car and wanted to mow anyways to forget it.
she has been using my little son as a tool and as a weapon to hurt me even while she was pregnant because she had threatened to get an abortion because in her words “i didnt have time for her” her mom who has mental issues had said my son was cursed due to myself not being saved by god and when i said i didnt have to follow her terms i get the usual until we go to courts i have to which i have all this in texts and facebook which i printed out when i give her what she wants and lovy dovy towards her im the best dad but when i dont give her her way im the worst so can anyone tell me what i can expect what to happen and any advice on what to do

First let me tell you that I tried to get my record expunged but They told me that family court charges could not be expunged and were on your record permanently. I personally obtained my background check, from the same place employers usually get it. courtnet.
The ONLY thing I have on my record(other than a few traffic violations) is..well to be exact the background paper says assault 4th degree domestic violence minor injury. BUT it was dismissed. It was a huge mistake. There was no injury it was a n argument. My husband has the exact same charge and he never touched me either. I was 21 when this happened and im 24 now. I had an interview today. I got the job ..they just have to wait for background check to come back. The company that I will hopefully be working for is a company that sends people out to peoples houses that have physical/mental handicaps.
My question is: Since this was family court, and dismissed, will they still hire me? Or will they not because of this?
How am I ever suppose to find a job if I CANT ever get this off my record?
Do they look at it different because its a family court case and not something else like just plain assault or something like that? I really badly want this job, the case was dismissed, what are the chances of them being okay with my record?
The reason we got arrested was because it was late and the cop was a prick. Neither one of us should have been charged with that over a non violent argument. Is there anyway to get this off my record?

6 years ago, my husband was arrested for child abuse resulting in injury, because he fell on my daughter when my dad pushed him down. During this time in our lives, my husband just had surgery for a hernia, and my dad was very heavy into drugs. My husband went across the street to a school to call the cops, and my dad told them he hit my daughter, and they took him to jail, her to the hospital. Nothing was wrong with my daughter, and my husband was released from jail the same day. While in court, he was advised that if he took a plea bargain to excessive noise, child abuse would never show up on his CBI, or keep him from getting a job. Since then, he has not been able to find work because of this. Is there anything we can do to reopen the case and change his plea to not guilty, which was what he was doing at first, until he was advised a lesser charge would be better for him? I was later informed by my father that he did lie about it to get my husband out of the house, because my husband was on to his drug use again, and he figured if he got him out, he can do what he wants. We live in colorado, and Adams county.
