With new technology comes the new use of tools and devices to create visual art but with that comes the blending of old a new. With the usage of photoshop and illustrator being standard practice by many photographers the question of when a photo is considered digital art is now a very real question. I asked a few photographers what they thought about the question.

Last summer I was talking photography with a friend and he said to me, "I have no idea what makes a good photograph." As an art form, the answer to that question probably varies from one person to the next. The question still has merit though. What is it that separates a spotty cell phone shot from a photo worth hanging on the wall? I compiled the primary factors of a photo I use when considering the quality of other photos and critiquing my own photos as well.
