By Anthony M. Davis

This month marks the unfortunate anniversary of 9/11. I think many of us can tell you what we were doing and how we felt on that dreadful day. On that morning we had just begun our daily Investigations meeting when Susan, our Administrative Secretary came in and told us a plane had hit the first tower of the World Trade Center. The meeting shifted from daily business to discussions about the airplane. A few years earlier, a bomb exploded at the same location. Could this be another terrorist attack? With little information to go by, we didn’t know. How could a plane get so far off course and hit a tall building on a clear day? It couldn’t be an accident.

We didn’t have a television in our office so the meeting ended and we walked to the local YMCA. As we stood there watching, I wondered about the people on the upper floors. How would they be rescued? What were the terrifying thoughts of those passengers and crew during those last moments? Then, we saw another plane hit and we knew we were under attack. We stood there frozen in place, taking in the sight of the evil being forced upon our nation. I will never forget the sight of those that chose to jump to their death. One never knows the last views or thoughts of a person driven to the point of despair. I can only imagine their hanging to the edge of the scene as the heat became unbearable.

This is EXACTLY what the terrorists wanted – to push our people to the point of fear and despair. We should never forget these intentional attacks against us and the ongoing intent to reduce America to a nation of subservients. Today, we have representatives of the same culture intending to build a mosque near the attack site. These same individuals refuse any discussion of another location. It’s not about the right of a mosque – it’s about what is right and noble. To those pushing for this in-your-face reminder of the attacks, it is about domination and showing that America will submit. Those individuals and some politicians have lost (or perhaps never had) Americas’ best in mind.

We as a nation are at a crossing point. For many, a prior election was perceived as an opportunity to bring change to our country and make it stronger. Today the tide is changing and many people now recognize tidal changes often bring in the seaweed and kelp that can strangle those attempting to swim in free waters. This is not about Democrat or Republican sides of the aisle. This is about building our nation as a strong fortress against those wanting to bring us under siege, remove our sovereignty and destroy us. I believe there are politicians from both sides that need to go away. I also believe many with ideals counter to American success are elected because many are unwilling to do their own homework. Some listen to the media or others who tell them how they should vote and think. This is not democracy; it is socialism.

Nine years ago we were under a continual attack as we had seen prior strikes against American interests. Today those same ideals of bringing America to her knees continue. Many years ago I read a book, “The Naked Communist”. It was written by a socialist describing a list of objectives intended to destroy our nation. In the late 60’s when reading this, many had already taken place. Today we have many (both within and outside) our country intending to remove American sovereignty. Rather than protect our borders, some in our government are more concerned for the right of criminal invaders than the rights of Americans to live in peace. Our economy is destroyed, people are out of work, they are losing their homes and are entering a new level of despair – a place where our enemies want us. We have seen domestic attacks in our nation by those with Islamic ideas and interference by those telling us we are not tolerant. At the same time, we see Christian and Jewish worship come under attack by both special interest groups and the U.S. courts.

When it comes to longevity of American democracy, the right to live in peace and worship the GOD that blessed this country, we have no responsibility to be tolerant of those that want to remove our rights.

I noted earlier that this is not about a political party. Yet, some will dig their heels in, close their eyes and cover their ears intending to hear only what someone else has told them to think. Others will put their shoes on and walk to the polls in November. There is no doubt that our nation remains under attack from both within and outside our borders. The questions we all have to ask ourselves is: Do I feel safer today that nine years ago? Is our nation fiscally stronger today? Do our citizens feel able to provide for their families? Will our children and grandchildren have a place where they can live a free and prosperous life? If not, we need to stop listening to others and ask what WE will do about it.

Lily Tomlin once said about Hollywood, “No matter how cynical you get, you never can keep up.” The same sentiment applies to the Obama administration. Few of its harshest detractors could even imagine the depths to which this government has stooped to remain in power. Very few would have imagined that the President’s administration would encourage lawbreaking to disenfranchise Americans in uniform. Yet, according to two Department of Justice officials, that is now official policy.

The Military Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act was passed last October to ensure that Americans serving abroad would have their votes counted. Specifically, MOVE requires states to send absentee ballots to citizens serving overseas 45 days before any election. But according to Eric Eversole and J. Christian Adams, two former attorneys for the DOJ’s voting section, Eric Holder’s justice officials are going to great lengths to subvert this law and prevent members of the American military from voting.

Last week our church held the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the local kids in the community. Generally after the conclusion of the VBS, the next service includes the children at the front of the church performing the songs they learned. While sometimes these are met with humor and varied levels of singing ability, this is important as children need to know they are a part of the church service and not just relegated to the kids church to be picked up later.

I’ve sat through these sessions many years. Yet, this morning I saw things differently. On the altar stood 20+ kids aged 4 to 9 (as my best guess). As the lady leading them asked, “Are you ready?” in her best enthusiastic tone, some kids yelled “YES!” One boy about the age of seven said “No” just loud enough to be noticed. As the singing began he was involved with it like many of them. It was apparent that his initial reluctance came from nervousness and he needed to verbalize it in some way.

As the singing began, I noticed the different children. Some came from families of financial means; others were obviously poorer A few looked pretty homely. Throughout the group were children of many different races and cultures. Standing there before me was a representation of our society. Some participated because that had to, some didn’t participate because they were nervous or perhaps didn’t want to. Some participated because they wanted to.

Those who didn’t participate endured the moments they had to stand up front and pretended knowing the words. One boy just walked around the front with his finger in his mouth. This pretty much emulates our society. We have people that are are nervous and unsure of themselves and do what they need to do to get by. Others just fake it and some in society walk around like the kid with his finger in his mouth, adding nothing.

What really caught my attention were those children that participated because THEY WANTED TO. Most tried to remember the words and motions that went with each song. Some did better than others, but that’s okay. They were willing to be participants and seemed to get the meaning of why they were up there. While some will think that the VBS sing-a-long is just to prove to parents that their kids learned some songs, the important point is that children learn who GOD is, our place on this earth and why He sent His Son to die in our places.

Of the bunch, two children really impacted me. There was a little black girl about four-years old and a white girl about six years of age. These two sang every word like it was a part of them. Every move was learned and completed with a reverence for GOD. When they sang, “I will sing of the Lord Forever”, they meant it. By the last song when they sung, “Ancient Words” by Michael W. Smith (A difficult song for a 4 & 6 year old by the way), I found myself moved and wiping my eyes. Standing before me were two small children showing reverence to GOD.

My mind was immediately drawn to the memory of some other children I know. Their parents don’t take them to church and do little to build the core foundational values of Christianity in their lives. Why? Recently I was told, “XXX works six days a week and is tired on Sunday.” Ok…

Who gave you those six days to live, breathe and earn an income?

Given that unemployment is rampant in this country, why is it that taking time to thank the GOD that blesses is such a burden?

What does OUR comfort have to do with the state of our children’s soul?

GOD hears the prayers of those that know Him. Do we want our children blessed or not? (GOD does hear the prayer of salvation from the unsaved)

We ask GOD for help when we’re in a bind and don’t acknowledge him when things are going well. We say we need GOD to turn our country around yet we fail our children by removing opportunities for their spiritual faith building. We are in a time when we can no longer fool around. We don’t go to church or read the bible because we might look “Too Spiritual”. Who are we afraid of? Why does stepping up to the plate and being a man or woman leader, building our children’s knowledge of GOD scare us?

If we love our children, we should do all that we can amidst a world of hurtful people to strengthen them. We should at a minimum be like the kids who walked to the front of the church, sang and gave it their best shot. It’s the road to spiritual strengthening and blessing that our children should have as a cover in perilous times.

As a Senator, Barack Obama said that teach sex education to kindergartners is, “The Right Thing to Do.” Look at the video and hear his own words as he swoons his audience with his immoral agenda. This shows that back in 2007 he was already pursuing the approach of dismantling the moral compass that our young children should follow. What good could this possibly bring?

Direct Link to Video

In Helena, Montana a proposed educational curriculum includes teaching five year old children the proper names for male and female sex organs. According to the draft proposal, kindergartners will be introduced to basic reproductive body parts (penis, vagina, breast, nipples, testicles, scrotum, uterus). By the second grade, children are instructed not to make fun of homosexuals. Granted, everyone should be treated fairly and the calling of names and hurtful behavior is wrong. However, adding this element to the curriculum shows clear involvement by those with a gay agenda to begin changing the mindset of morality at a young age. Communist countries learned long ago the effectiveness of teaching political doctrine to children. This is particularly true when viewing the fifth grade agenda:

Understand that sexual intercourse includes but is not limited to vaginal, oral, or anal penetration

Understand sexual orientation refers to a person’s physical and/or romantic attraction to an individual of the same and/or different gender, and is one part of ones’ personality

BALONEY. It has to do with one’s choices.

What is wrong with allowing children the ability to grow up without having to digest something like this at such a young age? What responsible parent really believes that a five year old is psychologically matured and able to handle these lessons with adding such stressors? Teaching children such behaviors as homosexuality as an alternative will only cause children who are already unsure of themselves to be more unsure.

This agenda opens the door to abuses by pedophiles. If children are already impressionable and unsure of themselves, it will be much easier for offenders to recruit their prey. During this last year of research for my upcoming Human Trafficking book, I’ve seen what appears to be an increase in child trafficking globally and here in the U.S. Teaching sex to small children only increases the chance of further victimization.

The draft sex education proposal for the Helena, Montana is available HERE.

Educational programs like this are entered into our schools and teach our children “alternative lifestyles” because at most, we shake our fist, say we are mad, then go back to our lives because we justify we are too busy to get involved. We can no longer count on our politicians to look out for our best interest. Anyone who believes that GOD and our national morality are important for our future should have a list of politicians at the ready. People are willing to ramble on aimlessly on their cell phone while driving, yet are unwilling to call their Congressmen and expect them to represent us (as they said they would).

If we as a nation fail to stand up with the freedom of speech that we currently still have, then those with an immoral agenda will overtake us.
