Many people ask how to get a huge success when they’re selling their product. And the answers are many, including the consumer/buyer interest to the product itself. Other than that, your promotion technique handled an important role to a success.

These are things you might need when you are going to a trade show as exhibitor. If this trade show is going to be your first experience, then these things is a must to get your first huge sale.

Skiff Reader, Green e-book Reader

Soon paper newspapers and magazines era will end? Newspaper publisher Hearst will plan to sell digital newspapers and magazines that can be read by customers in an eReader device called Skiff Reader. Skiff Reader is ultra thin and has 11.5-inch (measured diagonally) touch screen which support either using finger or stylus. The resolution of the TFT flexible screen is 1200×1600 pixels with 174ppi depth. With weigh only about 18oz (498 grams) and 9×11x0.268 inches on dimension, we can bring Skiff Reader with so much ease.

In addition to the ultra thin screen size, Skiff Reader also has 4 GB of storage media, 3G for long range internet connection and Wi-Fi for short range internet capability. If 4 GB storage is not satisfying you, it provides an external memory slot for SD-card type. Skiff Reader use Marvell CPU as the main processor.

This device can also be used to listen to music or audio-books by its built in speaker or 3.5 mm standard audio jack, and equipped with a hard magnesium casing. Although using hard magnesium case, Skiff Reader remains flexible and can be bent over to a certain bending limit. As another gadget does, Skiff Reader is using rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with one week life time for thousands of page turns with periodic wireless use.

What is the green role of this green technology device? Yes, this green gadget is expected to replace the function of paper. No paper needed then no more woods chopped down so we can retain the environment balance.

Eco-friendly campaign increased rampantly nowadays, and that is good news. Many producers are researching innovative eco-friendly products. One of them is an alternative energy other than electricity to charge the phone batteries. It was Song Hyejin Lee Teaho who designed this eco-friendly battery. This unique battery does not use solar energy as we’ve already heard before. The battery, which is still a concept, will begin charging when it swung-around with a finger inserted into a hole provided at one of its tip. The battery does not require electricity to recharge.

The battery power source is claimed to come from wind which is obtained from angular motion when it is swung by the finger. Truly natural energy sources rely on human power and wind. Swing it 130 times allow you to call with the mobile phone up to 10 minutes, as the designers expected.

Quite tiring if you want to call up to 1 hour, you need to swing it 1000 times, but it is appropriate with its objective; to save the earth. There is no information yet about when this eco-friendly battery will be released to the global market. Let’s wait and see.

Eco-Friendly Living Bath Mat

A Swiss inventor has created a natural eco-friendly living bath mat using moss materials. Mat consisting of 70 grains of spherical, islands and forests shaped can continue to live as it gets the water that dripped from the wearer’s body.

It felt very soft on your feet and does not smell when wet, as written on Daily Telegraph. According to Nguyen La Chanh, the Switzerland inventor said that the mat is very comfortable and only require little maintenance by its user.

She said, “The purpose of this eco-friendly living bath math is to find new ways to place the plants in the house. Not just a potted plant stand-alone in the corner, but also growing live plants in the house in other way and usability. I think this bath mat will be perfect for those who missed the natural corner of their apartment, maybe for those who live in urban environments, away from the parks and natural areas”. The mat was very comfortable, pleasant and soft to the soles of the feet, but it did not have too much trouble maintaining them.

Miss Nguyen is now looking for people willing to help her financially so she can mass-produce it, while she needs not less than 220 Pounds to produce every piece of eco-friendly living bath mat.

Blackle, Black Google Energy Saver

How many times you make search with google in a day? If you often perform search on the web using Google search engine, maybe this is the time for you to try this black search engine to save energy. The search engine called Blackle.

Blackle was created by Heap Media to remind us all of the need to take small steps in our everyday lives to save energy. Blackle searches are powered by Google Custom Search.

Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.” Roberson et al, 2002.

In January 2007 a blog post titled Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year proposed the theory that a black version of the Google search engine would save a fair bit of energy due to the popularity of the search engine. Since then there has been skepticism about the significance of the energy savings that can be achieved and the cost in terms of readability of black web pages.

We believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly we feel that seeing Blackle every time we load our web browser reminds us that we need to keep taking small steps to save energy.

In terms of saving electricity, glowing tape requires power only 5 Watt for each 30 cm length which means that only 1/6 of the power needed for LED lights.

Since glowing tape rolls of wire shaped like, it can be used as long as 8 km without dividing into several parts or using any connectors and the light is guaranteed to be visible even through the fog, smoke and snow.

In terms of the installation, glowing tape can be installed in a very easy way, for example if we want to stick it on the wall, it only requires double-sided tape, and we don’t need any nails or glue. This is because the weight of the glowing tape itself is very light.

And finally, this most interesting, glowing tape won’t be broken, so you do not need to be bothered with replacing broken lights problems.

Eco-Friendly Robofish

Robofish below seems very scary huh? But don’t get any wrong, because this robot is very friendly, especially eco-friendly. This 1.5 meters length robot was assigned to monitor pollution around it. This robot was designed to swim in the ocean. It swims back to its base every 8 hours to report the environmental situation. It is a very good idea to operate this fish robot in the ocean and allow them to monitor environmental progress. But the problem is the costs required to make a robot as expensive as US$ 30,000. It really is still too expensive for now. And the other problem is the battery endurance is only 8 hours long. Battery life is low causing the robot can’t swim far from the headquarters.

I know the question on your mind when you read the title; Valuable Garbage. You are asking; how can garbage be valuable, right? If that is your question, maybe you forgot that in this world almost nothing is impossible. Just read this post out and you know how to make valuable garbage.

Empty Bottle
What is your idea? The picture below tells us a creative idea to use empty bottles. They create an elegant chair from empty bottles. Every single chair consists of about a hundred empty bottles. Just imagine if every house has two bottle chairs, you can count how many bottles this earth saved from. Even bracelet in the second picture was made from empty water bottle. Beautiful isn’t?

Paper
Recycling paper is good for the environment. It cuts down on the amount of garbage you throw away and it means fewer trees have to be chopped down to make new paper. You can also use paper garbage as paper craft. I have friend who is expert on paper craft things. You can see his masterpiece here.

Who said that paper can’t be recycled into fashion thing? You can watch the paper bra in the picture below. Give it a try will you?

Broken CD and DVD
CD and DVD are also containing high earth threatening carbon. Don’t waste your broken CDs or DVDs to save the earth. This funny little eco-friendly thing in the picture below was made from broken CD, and of course it can be made from broken DVD too. It was created with a little creativity touch and a will to save the earth from pollutant. I have explained the other way to use broken CD or DVD on my recent post, have a look.
