I'm Anton Kovalyov. I live in Oakland, CA. I was born and raised in Tashkent and moved to the Bay Area in 2008. If you’re looking for a chess player, I’m not him.
Work
I'm on a break.
Before going on my break, I was working as a software engineer at Medium. Before Medium, I was at Mozilla and Disqus. In the world of software engineering I'm most known for my work on JSHint and, probably, my books on JavaScript. My current side-project is called Charted. It's a web-based tool for creating beautiful, automatic charts.

Zen
I’m involved with a local Soto Zen group called Access to Zen. If you’re looking for a meditation group in downtown Oakland check us out! You don’t have to be a Buddhist or know anything about meditation. Sometimes you can also find me at the East Bay Meditation Center in downtown Oakland or at the Insight Meditation with Will Kabat-Zinn in West Berkeley.
