MTM’s customers are not interested in the fact that the new Audi S4 with a 3.0-litre TFSI engine makes 245kW (333hp). What they are interested in is how much more power their favourite tuner can wring out of the supercharged engine. MTM says it can allow an extra 71kW (97hp) to be harnessed thanks to its M-Cantronic system. That means the MTM S4 produces 430hp (316kW) and 515Nm of torque. That is more power than the previous-generation RS 4 which had 420 horses and 430Nm running underneath it.

The quattro differential and the 6-speed manual gearbox help the car accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in 4.7 seconds. Buyers have a choice between 19-inch and 21-inch wheels in addition to a height-adjustable suspension system. An exclusive four-pipe oval exhaust system with different optics is also fitted along with MTM brakes.

A6 3.0-litre TFSI owners are not left out either. For them MTM has a special M-Cantronic programme which not only increases their V6’s efficiency but gives them an extra dose of 70hp (51kW) to bring the total to 360hp (265kW).

So dynamic is the MTM system that it can be installed and/ or removed in a short space of time, making it ideal for people who are using leased cars as well as outright owners.

Racing and tuning house Abt Sportline finally reveals expected upgrades to the Volkswagen Golf VI GTI. Previously Abt had released aero kit and modest performance upgrades for the Golf VI at Essen last year.

The standard GTI is known for producing 155kW (211hp) out of its 2.0-litre four-pot turbo engine. Power has been upped to 191kW (260hp) which is the same as the Mazda3 Speed/MPS. The engine size remains the same but the ECU and exhaust system have been reworked. A new turbocharger has also been used. It does not stop there however. A second package takes the power up to 221kW (300hp) which is just 4kW (5hp) short of a BMW 135i. Performance is 0 – 100km/h in 6 seconds.

Abt suspension springs and brakes are fitted and the suspension system itself is lowered by 30mm. A four-pipe exhaust emits a sporty sound to compliment the kit. The body kit consists of LED lights, a new Abt front grille, spoiler, side bar and a rear spoiler. There is also a front lip. Customers will have a choice of between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels.

The interior is different with red accents on the instrument panel, the dashboard, door trim and the steering wheel.

Pricing for the aerodynamic kit is €3,276 in Germany. To install and paint will cost €1,080 and €1,170 respectively. The 260hp package comes to €1,490, plus €60 installation and €130 TÜV-registration. The 300hp package is priced at €5,300 and that includes installation and TÜV-registration.

Cargraphic has unveiled a new range of styling and performance accessories for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel.

Under the hood, Cargraphic adds a revised ECU module which boosts the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel’s output from 240hp (176kW) and 550Nm of torque to 290hp (213kW) and 630Nm of torque. Although Cargraphic did not provide any performance data, they did state the Cayenne’s top speed is increased to 221 km/h (137 mph).

The company also offers an extensive body kit which includes a new front valance, a rear diffuser, side skirts, and wheel arch extensions. If that doesn’t float your boat, perhaps Cargraphic’s modified electronic suspension module will do the trick. It has been specially designed to give the Cayenne a low stance which helps to improve aerodynamics and reduce drag.

Tuning firm G-Power has created a new performance package for the BMW M3 E46.

Dubbed the SK I supercharger system, the package consists of a large ASA TM I 20 centrifugal supercharger which enables BMW’s 3.2-liter inline-six to produce 450 hp and 450 Nm of torque (up from 343 hp/365 Nm). Thanks to the additional 107 hp, the G-Power M3 E46 accelerates from 0-200 km/h in 14.7 seconds, which beats the 15.8 second time posted by BMW’s 420 hp V8-powered M3 E92.

If G-Power’s 20-inch “Silverstone diamond” alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires are also ordered with the SK I supercharger system, the M3 E46’s top speed increases to more than 300 km/h (186 mph). Other optional equipment includes a high performance stainless steel muffler and a continuously height-adjustable G-POWER coil-over suspension with nine selectable settings.

If you’ve ever wondered what a stealth bomber would look like if it wore a Porsche logo, Gemballa has your answer with the new Mirage GT Matt Edition.

Essentially a Mirage GT Carbon Edition with a different paint job and blue Alcantara interior trimmings, the sinister looking supercar features a massive V10 engine with 670 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. Performance stats include 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds, a 0-200 km/h (124 mph) time of 9.7 seconds, and a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph).

Although no official details have been released, expect the Matt Edition to be sold in extremely limited numbers with a price surpassing €300,000 ($419,012 USD).

German tuner Väth has a package for the Mercedes E 63 AMG Wagon W211. They call it the V63 RS. And if you buy it, do be prepared to need the better part of an afternoon just to tell anyone who asks what the name of the car is – a Väth V63 RS Mercedes E 63 AMG Wagon W211. Got that?

The Hoesbach-based tuner does its thing to take the E 63’s horsepower rating from 514 to 580 and raise torque to a more than ample 770 Nm. That includes, along with a few engine management tricks, a new sports exhaust system with new manifolds, catalytic converter and a stainless steel muffler.

The tuning package also includes a suspension lowering of 35 mm, 390 mm brake disks, a 6-piston fixed caliper system for the front axle and 20-inch alloy wheels with 245 tires at the front and 285’s at the back. A carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser also help provide additional aerodynamic downforce on the E63 AMG.

Interior finish also features extensive use of carbon paneling as well as a fitting Alcantara lining.

In Germany, the Mercedes wagon is called the T-model. A fun fact to know, yes. Sort of brings to mind the Model-T, which Henry Ford famously said was available in any color the customer wanted as long as it was black. And this ultra-modern T-model certainly looks good in black.

Hennessey Performance Engineering has unveiled their new Z700 Limited Edition which is based on the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

Designed to be the ultimate Corvette, Hennessey equips the Z700 with an upgraded supercharger, exhaust, and air induction system. These modest modifications allow the ZR1’s LS9 engine to create 705 hp and 717 lb-ft of torque, instead of the standard car’s 638 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. This healthy performance boost is backed up by lightweight carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, a carbon fiber front splitter, canards, and a rear spoiler. The net result of all these changes is an impressive 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 10.6 seconds.

Hennessey also decided to address the ZR1’s biggest weakness, the interior. In order to spruce up the Vette’s dull cabin, the company adds lightweight carbon fiber seats, and an Alcantara steering wheel and shift knob.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Z700 is the options list. The typical custom interior and exterior colors choices are there, but so are two extreme performance packages. The Z750 package boasts 755 bhp while the Z1000 package features 1,000 bhp thanks to the addition of twin turbochargers.

Only 24 Z700s will be built for 2010 and each one comes with a full day of performance driving instruction at Hennessey’s Lonestar Motorsports Park.

Mercedes-Benz launched the 450 SEL 6.9 in the 1975. The super sedan was based on the W116 model series and as the range-topper it embodied fame, luxury, as well as power. Only for this model did Mercedes borrow the 6.9-litre V8 engine from the State 600 limousine which at the time was like the Rolls-Royce of Germany. Maximum torque was rated at 550Nm. That is quite massive even by today’s standards. When new its peak power was 286hp (210kW).

Lorinser is now bringing the 450 SEL 6.9 into the attention of a new generation by reminding us of the kind of work the tuner completed on it back then. Wide square plastic aprons up front were installed in the place of the old slim chrome bumpers. It was the same for the rear which then featured more a copious shape with Lorinser double exhaust pipes.

The tuner says that although the car rides on a hydro-pneumatic suspension system and keeps the ride soothing, it still handles well for its age. Cornering is apparently quite safe and road grip is firm. The steering wheel is nimble as it gives the driver incentive to keep pushing.

Performance figures suggest this golden oldie can still hang out with some of the best from today. It goes from 0 – 100km/h in 7.4 seconds using its 205/55 VR 16 wheels and the 3-speed automatic gearbox. BBS furnished the multi-spoke wheels because at that point Lorinser did not produce its own. The engineers reckon wider tyres would probably help bring the sprint time down. Top speed is 225km/h.

There is no price provided but interested parties can contact Lorinser directly should they wish to acquire this unit.

The tuners at Rex Accelero came up with this widebody kit when attempting to answer the question of what an SLK 55 AMG Black Series modeled after the SL 65 AMG Black Series could look like. They came up with this look which was done by moving out the front and rear fenders by about 2.5 inches. Doing this allowed for the aerodynamic parts to be placed in such a way as to give the car room to be used as a track day device.

A carbon fiber lip plus a rear diffuser will be installed in the final production models. Minimum weight and strength will be ensured by using a vacuum-bag construction. Thus a 50:50 weight distribution can be achieved. Some aspects are still being tweaked ahead of the opening of the pre-order book in September.
This prototype also has oversized tyres, H&R springs, and a standard engine. Although not the 400hp unit from the limited SLK 55 AMG Black Series, it is the same 5.4-litre V8 worth 367hp (270kW) but the California-based tuner has plans to introduce it to a supercharger and make it go beyond 500hp (368kW). Such a thing is possible; the legendary E 55 AMG had the exact same engine, also with a supercharger and it made 476hp (350kW).

JMS has taken a Volkswagen Bora Mk IV and given it a whole new kit. VW has previously used the name Bora in some markets to mean the Jetta sedan. The tuner guarantees its work is up to standard and the TÜV approval gives it that extra selling point. The Racelook front bumper has three big cutouts. Buyers can choose to fit either black or silver vents for it. They can also specify if they want it with or without an opening for fog lights. Should fogs be specified then well-known lighting manufacturer Hella will supply Micro-DE pieces at a price of €89 per pair.

Side skirts are available for all the Bora versions. They feature air ducts and are integrated well into the body. The rear bumper is quite dynamic as it can be utilised in conjunction with very much any tailpipe layout.

The JMS Bora IV runs on 225/35R19 tyres which are coupled with Eta Beta 8×19 wheels with stainless steel inlays. At €2,799 for the set they are not cheap, but again, the work is said to be very good. To give the car a brawnier look JMS installs a stainless steel H&H coilover that lowers the front end by 55mm and the rear end by 45mm.
