Aerodynamics – Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers

Cobra has been focusing on aerodynamics and its benefits for drivers for quite some time. Similar to last year’s Darkspeed lineup, the DS-ADAPT LS model features the most aerodynamic design in this series. Since the LS model targets faster swingers, it makes sense to enhance the speed of the clubhead. All DS-ADAPT models include softer edges around the face, but the LS model offers additional features, such as a raised crown and aft design, which help maintain smooth airflow around the head for as long as possible.  

Across the four driver head designs released, Cobra has implemented a progressive aerodynamic shape that transitions from the most aerodynamic LS model to the Max-D model, which prioritizes playability. The Max-D model is designed for players seeking greater forgiveness, higher launch angles, and some draw weighting, placing a lower aerodynamics priority.  

Adaptive Weighting – Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers

Cobra’s DS-ADAPT drivers also feature adaptive weighting across their entire range, similar to their approach with progressive aerodynamics. This adaptive weighting allows for optimal weight distribution within the clubhead, tailored to different golfer segments. The PWR-Bridge technology, seen previously in the Aerojet and Darkspeed models, is incorporated in the 9° loft of the DS-ADAPT LS and X driver heads, while the 10.5° versions do not include this feature. This results in two distinctly different driver head designs based on the stated loft of the head. Cobra’s rationale is that golfers opting for the lower loft typically seek lower launch and spin. By excluding the PWR-Bridge in the 10.5° heads, Cobra R&D can reposition an additional 6 grams of weight to enhance forgiveness and launch characteristics. Therefore, it’s essential to consider these design differences when testing the LS and X models in the hitting bay.  

Moving on to the DS-ADAPT Max-K, this model completely omits a PWR-Bridge, and its weight has been positioned lower and deeper than any other model in the series. The Max-K is the most forgiving and stable DS-ADAPT driver head available. On the other hand, the Max-D features additional weight on the heel side, making it ideal for golfers who need help closing the clubface at impact. This results in the most draw-biased driver within the DS-ADAPT lineup. 

H.O.T. Face Technology

No matter which DS-ADAPT driver you choose, you can be assured that every model features Cobra’s H.O.T. Face Technology. This technology utilizes variable thickness patterns to enhance the coefficient of restitution (CT) across the face, providing improved distance and forgiveness. Each H.O.T. Face is equipped with a 15-pad system, and the design of these pads varies in depth and density across all four heads.  

The Adapter

When companies release new drivers, we as golf nerds, anticipate a discussion about specific technologies. We’ve come to expect talk around a combination of aerodynamics, faster clubfaces, and conversations surrounding internal weighting and the placement of the center of gravity. The last technology we want to highlight is particularly impressive, so pay close attention. As stated before, Cobra aims for the DS-ADAPT line to be the fastest and most customizable driver line they have ever produced. With that in mind, Cobra has moved on from their MYFLY8 adapter to enhance fitting options and is introducing a new dual-cog fitting sleeve known as FUTUREFIT33. 

From a golfer’s perspective, the MYFLY8 adapter was easy to use and understand. The eight different settings were clearly labeled, and Cobra even included a small window in the hosel to make the loft selection visible to users. However, since it is a single-cog adapter, loft and lie adjustments cannot be made independently and any change to the loft setting also affected the lie angle. Cobra acknowledged that the MYFLY8 adapter had no option to adjust the sleeve for a flatter lie angle than the standard setting and how important that could be for fitting. The FUTUREFIT33 adapter addresses this limitation and certainly kicks things up a notch.  

Cobra has expanded its previous eight settings to thirty-three with this new adapter. This system allows for independent loft and lie angle adjustments, adding a valuable dimension to the brand’s fitting process. 

“FUTUREFIT33 is a true breakthrough in metalwood fitting,” says Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. “Never before has any hosel system provided 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted so quickly and easily. 33 settings is more than four times our previous hosel system and more than double our nearest competitor.”  

Now, with 33 different combinations, some may think it will bring extra confusion when adjusting one’s club. Cobra has your back there. On each driver’s head is a QR code, which will bring up a fitting app that can help golfers find their most desired setting. Meanwhile, on the adapter sleeve are indicators of what each setting will do for both loft and lie. Without having the app handy, golfers can add those numbers together to figure out what it will do to the loft and lie on that specific setting. Credit to Cobra here; they are doing what they can to make a potentially overwhelming situation more understandable to the golfer. For golfers who worry about how a driver looks at the address when making the adjustments, remember that Cobra utilizes their SmartPad technology, which helps the clubface retain a square appearance regardless of the hosel setting.  

After spending some time tinkering with this new system, one thing is clear: FUTUREFIT33 now takes the mantle of the gold standard for hosel adapters. For golfers who like to tinker, Cobra will make the new FUTUREFIT33 adapter available for sale on their website.  

The Cobra DS-ADAPT Driver Lineup

DS-ADAPT LS – As mentioned earlier, the LS models are designed for golfers with the fastest swing speeds who seek a more penetrating ball flight and reduced spin. The 9° model features a curved PWR-BRIDGE that shifts additional weight lower and more forward, creating a low-spin performance powerhouse. In contrast, the 10.5° head excludes the PWR-BRIDGE, offering a more forgiving, easier-to-launch, low-spin option. 

Equipped with FUTUREFIT33 and three adjustable weights (two 3g and one 10g), this driver offers an impressive range for launch, spin, and side-to-side ball flight adjustments. Additionally, the DS-ADAPT LS is the only driver in the family that measures under 460cc, with a size of 445cc. 

DS-ADAPT LS drivers are available in 9° and 10.5° lofts for right-handed and left-handed golfers. They come stock with an aftermarket Denali Black 60 shaft, with other custom options also available. 

DS-ADAPT X – With the X driver, golfers can expect a combination of speed and forgiveness. Compared to the LS model, the X has one fewer adjustable weight. However, it still features one 10g and one 3g weight, allowing players to choose between a more backweighted, forgiving setup or a configuration that helps reduce spin. The PWR-Bridge in the 9° head is straighter than the curved version in the LS, which positions the center of gravity slightly further from the face. The 10.5° head does not include the PWR-Bridge. 

The DS-ADAPT X drivers are available in 9° and 10.5° lofts for right-handed and left-handed golfers. They come standard with an aftermarket Denali Blue 60 shaft, which has a mid-launch profile. 

DS-ADAPT Max-K The Max-K is Cobra’s entrance to the 10K market. Acknowledging the evolution of 10K drivers, Cobra has designed the Max-K to minimize excessive spin while promoting a more neutral ball flight. It’s important to note that the Max-K is not exclusively aimed at players with moderate swing speeds; golfers who generate more speed but seek added stability can also expect strong performance from this model. 

In internal testing, the Max-K face demonstrated an exceptionally high Moment of Inertia (MOI) for both heel and toe strikes. If you typically miss in those areas, the Max-K may be a suitable option. 

The DS-ADAPT Max-K drivers are available in 9°, 10.5°, and 12° lofts for right-handed and left-handed golfers. They come standard with an aftermarket Denali Blue 60 shaft. 

DS-ADAPT Max-D As expected, Max-D indicates “maximum draw.” This driver features the most weight on the heel side, including a 10g weight that can be swapped out for adjusting swing weight or fitting purposes. In addition to its weight configuration, the Max-D is Cobra’s most upright driver, which assists golfers in mitigating a slice or achieving a specific shot shape. 

DS-ADAPT Max-D drivers are available in 10.5° and 12° lofts for right-handed and left-handed golfers. These drivers come stock with an aftermarket Denali Red 50 shaft, which saves a little weight and offers the highest launch of the three Denali shafts.  

Initial Thoughts 

Thanks to Cobra Golf, I spent some early time with the DS-ADAPT X driver. I had the 9° with the stock Denali Blue 60s shaft for my setup. While an official review will follow soon, I wanted to share some initial thoughts and a quick overview of the club’s data. 

Last season, the Darkspeed LS driver was sometimes in my bag and other times not. I appreciated the look, speed, and ball flight, but there were days when it felt a bit too punishing for my swing. Because of this, when given the chance, I chose the DS-ADAPT X as my preferred clubhead.  

With the clubhead behind the ball, two features immediately caught my attention. First, the carbon fiber crown resembles the designs we saw in the LTDx and Aerojet models, offering a cap design that differs from last year’s Darkspeed lineup. It still has a sleek, all-black appearance, but the carbon fiber is now more prominent. Additionally, Cobra introduced a new laser etching pattern on the face, which was developed based on feedback from their tour staff. 

FUTUREFIT33 is undoubtedly an essential aspect of the DS-ADAPT experience. Without access to the fitting app, I found the process quite intuitive. While there is a learning curve, the loft and lie settings are clearly labeled directly on the adapter, which allowed me to make adjustments without needing to reference a chart. For full disclosure, I did consult the chart to confirm my decisions. During my initial trial period, I settled on F3, which lowers the loft by 1.7° and achieves a more upright lie angle.  

Below is some dry ball data captured with the help of a SkyTrak+ launch monitor. With the F3 setting, I saw a launch angle that hovered around 15° and spin rates in the mid-2000s. For being the off-season here, I was pretty happy with the data I was seeing. Numbers aside, what stood out to me was the ball flight, a very playable fade that could start just down the left side of the center line and fall ball to the right, which is a very playable shot shape for the courses I typically play. Again, we will have more testing and more numbers of the DS-ADAPT X driver in the near future, which will include more experimentation with adapter and weight placement settings.  

Cobra’s Darkspeed lineup generated a lot of excitement last year, and I believe the DS-ADAPT will make a similar impact. With four different heads available, there’s a DS-ADAPT driver for every golfer. Whether you desire a low-spin design with the LS, the stability of the 10K experience with the Max-K, a draw-biased option with the Max-D, or the ideal blend of speed and forgiveness with the X, you can find the right fit. Regardless of which driver you choose, the pricing is uniform across the board, with all DS-ADAPT drivers priced at $549.

“COBRA has long been a leader in game improvement irons, but the new DS-ADAPT family represents a major breakthrough in both performance and fitting,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. “We have two models that can fit a massive group of players with varying swing speeds, all of whom are looking for maximum distance, exceptional forgiveness, and optimal overall performance.”  

The Construction – Cobra DS-ADAPT Irons

Cobra’s new DS-ADAPT irons feature a 360 SpeedShell Face, an expansive cup face extending over the topline and toe, connecting at the back of the iron. It represents the largest face cup design they have used. Inside the SpeedShell face is a speed channel designed to enhance ball speed on contact across the face. The SpeedShell works alongside Cobra’s H.O.T. face technology, resulting in a 23% increase in face flex. This combination provides higher launch, increased ball speed, and greater distance. 

Thanks to the weight savings achieved through the SpeedShell Face and hollow body construction, Cobra was able to reposition the PWR-BRIDGE. This adjustment helps concentrate more weight lower in the clubhead, promoting a higher launch angle. PWR-BRIDGE is a critical technology that allows the DS-ADAPT irons to flex more freely, similar to the performance of a fairway wood. 

As is typical with hollow-body irons, sound is a crucial aspect that can significantly influence a user’s impression. Cobra addresses this by injecting foam microspheres into the head, which expands and dampens vibrations, resulting in a pleasing sound and feel. Additionally, the foam microspheres allow for increased face flex. If you’ve noticed a pattern, Cobra is doing everything possible to enhance the speed of these irons. 

TECFLO Set Construction

Many golfers are considering combo or split sets and looking for a progressive set design. Cobra has been a leader in this area, having developed a progressive iron set with their TECFLO construction. This innovative design is a key feature of the DS-ADAPT and ADAPT-Max irons. 

In the TECFLO construction of these sets, the 4-7 irons are designed with a hollow body featuring a 360 Speedshell face, PWR-Bridge weighting, and foam microspheres. As we move to the 8-PW (pitching wedge), the hollow body design and foam microspheres remain, but the PWR-Bridge and Speedshell face have been removed. For the gap and sand wedges, the foam microspheres are also absent, but these wedges retain the same badging in the cavity to help enhance sound and feel. 

2 Models of Cobra DS-ADAPT Irons

If you’re unsure which model would best suit your game, here’s a comparison: the DS-ADAPT MAX irons are designed for higher handicap players compared to the standard DS-ADAPT. The DS-ADAPT MAX irons feature a thicker topline, a wider sole, and more offset. Additionally, they have weaker lofts, typically 2° less across the board. According to Cobra’s testing, the Max irons offered 1.6° more launch, 2.4 yards higher peak height, 2° steeper descent angles, and an additional 550 rpm of spin.  

Cobra DS-ADAPT and DS-ADAPT MAX irons are offered in set configurations of 4-SW and 5-GW. The standard steel shaft option is KBS Tour Lite, while KBS PGI is the standard for graphite shafts. 

Initial Thoughts 

Thanks to Cobra, I have had the opportunity to spend quality time with the new DS-Adapt irons before their release. During this period, I captured some data using a SkyTrak+ launch monitor, which I will discuss later. 

When considering game-improvement irons, it’s common to expect a thick topline. Dating back to the LTD irons, Cobra has done an impressive job of creating a slimmer and more appealing topline, and this trend continues with the DS-ADAPT models. They look very comforting behind the ball without appearing too bulky. Additionally, a slightly darker finish contributes to a sleeker appearance, which often enhances the overall slim look of the irons. 

At impact, these irons sound powerful, especially when hitting the longer irons, and while there are foam microspheres to dampen vibrations, there is enough feedback to tell if contact was good or subpar. With the technology present and strong lofts, I expected to see some super low spin. Combining the design with hitting off my indoor mat is a perfect combination for some numbers that might scare people.  

The data collected for the 5-iron, 7-iron, and pitching wedge (PW) highlights a few key observations. Firstly, Cobra aimed for these clubs to generate speed, and they delivered on that front. Reviewing additional numbers I gathered over the past year, I’ve noticed significant gains in ball speed with the 5-iron and the 7-iron. While launching the ball has never been an issue for me, all of these clubs produced launch angles within my normal window, achieving peak heights of over 30 yards. With the 7-iron and PW, descent angles were steep enough to help these lower spin shots effectively hold the green.  

Cobra DS-ADAPT and DS-ADAPT MAX irons are available for preorder on December 12, 2024, and will be in stores on January 10, 2024, for a price tag of $999 for steel and $1099 for graphite shafts.

However, this isn’t about the driver, no, this is about the portion of Cobra’s metal wood innovation that always seems to fly a bit under the radar, fairway woods and hybrids. Though perhaps slept on, they have historically been some of the most consistent performers on the market, although at times the lines were a bit blurred from model to model. This year, Cobra aims to set that right.   

Cobra DS-ADAPT Fairway Woods Key Technology 

While one of the main stories concerning Cobra’s new drivers remains centered around aerodynamics, when it comes to fairways and hybrids their smaller size limits the impact which changes in aero can bring to the table. However, that does not at all mean this part of the DS-ADAPT lineup is lacking innovation in design and technology.  

Foremost, with DARKSPEED we saw a true differentiation between each of the heads offered in the fairway and hybrid portion of the lineup. Nevertheless, even with the material and weight placement changes from head to head, the line was still a bit muddy as to what head fit whom the best, especially when it came to the LS and X options. So, this year they are taking things further than any previous Cobra release.  

Each head offered in the DS-ADAPT release features an all new H.O.T. Face (Highly Optimized Topology) which this time around consists of fifteen “hot spots”. This is a larger perimeter than past applications which has utilized “Machined Learning” to optimize placement on each of the head designs. The designs also use a thinner overall face than with DARKSPEED which means not just more energy transfer, but more efficient transfer to improve the launch conditions of each individual clubhead.  

Of course, PWR-BRIDGE is also here, but presented in three very different ways. In fact, the DS-ADAPT X fairway and hybrid are the two which utilize the version which we come to expect, the free standing bridge. In the LS and MAX however, there is a different application based on the performance needs and goals of each head, low-forward in the LS and low-back in the MAX.  

Last, but certainly not least, MYFLY8 is out, and FUTUREFIT33 is in, with full implementation in the fairway woods and hybrids. If you have read the THP release article on the DS-ADAPT Drivers before hopping over here, then you got a masterclass from our own Dean DeCrecenzo on the new adapter setup, but if not, lets dive in.  

Right on cue, when the top internet-sleuths went to work with their pictures and incomplete info about Cobra’s new adapter system, there was excitement mixed with assumptions by many. The main one being how complicated it looked, after all, with FUTUREFIT33 offering thirty-three unique loft and lie settings, how could it not be? Well, we are here to tell you while it is sure to be the most comprehensive adapter on the market, it is not the most complicated.  

Sure, there is one of the absolute coolest adapter adjustment images (which they are internally referring to as a mandala) you will ever see accompanying FUTUREFIT33, although at first glance it is admittedly a lot. The secret though lies in that yes, you can use that setting chart to move the adapter sleeve where you need to, but you can also simply look at the adapter to see what each does since Cobra has placed not just the alpha-numeric setting on it, but also the actual loft and lie change. 

Based around 0.7 and 1.0 degree options, the adapter shows you how each setting is impacting the loft and lie. The real brilliance here is that so far, adapters have either been extremely upright leading to heavy draw bias in adjustments, or flat making for a fade bias. With FUTURFIT33 Cobra has unbound that correlation and created an adapter which you can actually dial in any desired bias. This is the truest definition of a revolutionary jump in adapter design.  

Of course, each clubhead within the release also has its specific design aspects which differentiate it from its siblings. Read on for a breakdown of each option within the new DS-ADAPT lineup. 

Cobra DS-ADAPT LS Fairway 

It will come as no surprise that with the lowest and most forward CG of the new DS-ADAPT fairways, the LS is built for power and speed first and foremost. In fact, they’ve been so successful its too long for Cobra staffer Rickie Fowler, and he will be playing the X instead. However, for those of us who love a tee-heavy fairway option, the LS should certainly excite.  

The LS remains an all Titanium design that stands apart from the steel X and MAX models. Because titanium is so much lighter, it allows for more discretionary weight placement internally, in this case there is no traditional PWR-BRIDGE but instead an adaptation through the use of 60g of Tungsten. Internally, there is 34g placed forward and on the sole of the clubhead while externally there are two 13g weights which can be placed in one of the three ports (heel, toe, rear) for fine tuning.  

Shape wise, the LS is as compact as you would anticipate and it keeps a very classic flow from address. The head here is however on the deep side with a 31mm face which should absolutely appeal to those looking for a second tee club. The DS-ADAPT LS fairway will come in 3W (14.5) and 5W (17.5) as expected, but in an exciting move there will now be a 3HF (16.0) option replacing the 3+ that Cobra offered in the past.  

The True Temper Denali Black 60 (X, S) will be the standard offering in the DS-ADAPT LS and it is priced at $429.  

Cobra DS-ADAPT X Fairway 

The X fairway option is once again the option which most golfers will fall into within the DS-ADAPT lineup. The head has a neutral low and forward CG design that does utilize the traditional PWR-BRIDGE technology inside the steel clubhead. The mid-to-forward placement of the PWR-BRIDGE helps increase speed potential while also improving the playability and launch of the head.  

Compared to the LS, the X is slightly larger in footprint front-to-back and also has a 28mm deep face. This is essentially the “best of both worlds” option in the DS-ADAPT fairway arsenal with enough speed to be a lethal option off the tee, but a profile that helps elevate shots off of the turf easier than the LS while still keeping ample workability for those who seek it.  

Cobra will be offering the DS-ADAPT X fairway in 3W (15.0), 3HF (16.5), 5W (18.0), and 7W (21.0) options. Standard shaft options will be the Denali Blue 60 (R, S) or Red 50 (A) from True Temper. Price point on the X will be $329.  

Cobra DS-ADAPT MAX Fairway

Rounding out the fairway lineup is the DS-ADAPT MAX which has the largest overall footprint of the three options. The reasoning behind this is to get the weight placement as far back and low as possible while also using a weight port in the heel to add draw bias. The internal design along with a shallow 26.5mm face depth has this clubhead built for optimizing launch and spin.  

While the MAX will typically appeal to the slower swinger or golfer who benefits from draw bias, the inclusion of FUTUREFIT33 could very well open the MAX designs up to a whole new segment of golfers who predominantly hit fairway woods into greens.  

The DS-ADAPT MAX is priced at $329 and will be paired with the True Temper Denali Red 50 (A, R, S) while being offered in 3W (15.5), 5W (18.5), 7W (21.5), and an all new 9W (24.5) option.  

Cobra DS-ADAPT Hybrids 

Cobra’s hybrids are criminally under-discussed, not simply based on performance, but also because they don’t get the credit they deserve with how well they have evolved their designs to offer a breadth of options. With the DS-ADAPT the have created a size/profile that is bigger than the DARKSPEED was(125cc vs 119cc), but still slightly smaller than the most recent KING TEC. This shape change has allowed even more weight optimization with the goal of making a hybrid that is more stable with easier launch to maximize carry distances.  

With the implementation of both PWR-BRIDGE and H.O.T. Face into the hybrids just as with the fairways, Cobra is seeking to create a hybrid that truly bridges the gap between fairways and irons. When you add in FUTUREFIT33 though, and consider that the adapter will let you take a neutral hybrid and tune it to draw or fade bias, this is a new era for Cobra hybrids.  

Cobra is offering the DS-ADAPT hybrid in 2 (17.0), 3 (19.0), 4 (21.0), 5 (24.0), and 6 (28.0) offering 15 to 30 degrees of options when using the new adapter. The standard shaft is the KBS PF Hybrid 85S, 75R, or 65A. Pricing on the hybrid will be $299.

As you can see, Cobra is absolutely determined to make the DS-ADAPT release perhaps its most complete and versatile ever. The entire lineup will be available for fitting as well as pre-sale starting today, 12/12/24, with products hitting retail on 1/10/25. While they aren’t really delivering an all-new concept or tweak on the Spider in 2025, TaylorMade is bringing more options to the table. Specifically, they are introducing the Spider Tour Black series, adding a black PVD finish to three of the series’ most popular shapes. Along with classic TaylorMade copper accents, this new look is sure to be enticing. The True Path Alignment technology seems to just pop against the black PVD background, making it easier than ever to start your putts on the right line. Let’s take a look at each shape that will be available in this new finish and how the technology is designed to help you make more putts. 

The Shapes – TaylorMade Spider Tour Black

2024 saw the reintroduction of the original Spider Tour shape, so it’s only fitting we start with the Spider Tour Black. There’s a reason this putter is considered legendary. With an MOI rating over 5700 it’s incredibly stable and forgiving to off-center strikes, both in terms of distance control and dispersion. When coupled with TaylorMade’s TPU Pure Roll Insert, it also provides consistent forward roll, mitigating the chances of your putts skipping offline early.  

The Spider Tour’s Jet Engine TSS weight ports have an even more dramatic look with the copper surrounded by the black PVD. The Spider Tour Black will be available with a Slant Neck and 29 degrees of toe hang in 33”, 34”, and 35” lengths. In addition, there will be a face-balanced double-bend option at 35” that also incorporates counterbalance.  

Like Rory McIlroy, those players that crave the Spider’s stability but want a slightly more compact package will again be able to lean on the Spider Tour X platform. The Spider Tour X Black is essentially the same putter in a black PVD finish. Along with subtle differences that make the shape flow smoother to the eyes, the prominent “ears” are lopped off, giving the Spider Tour X Black a smaller footprint at address. This change in shape does require a repositioning of the TSS weights to the sole, so at some level there is a tradeoff in stability, but you can still expect high levels of forgiveness from this streamlined option.  

Pictures illustrate well how TaylorMade was able to precisely place mass on the Spider Tour X Black through their Steel Wireframe and Thin Wall Undercut Construction technologies. By removing weight from areas around the putter, the company can position it far back in the head to ensure the highest MOI possible. The Spider Tour X Black will be available in two builds. The L neck (#1) has 21 degrees of toe hang at 33”, 34”, and 35”. The Small Slant (#3) will be available in 34” and 35” with 30 degrees of toe hang.  

Finally, for those players that just can’t get enough Spider in their lives, the Spider Tour S Black will be an option. This isn’t exactly a different shape, as it’s based off the original Spider Tour, but it is unique in its size. It’s 3mm longer from front to back and 8mm wider from side to side, dramatically increasing the MOI to a whopping 6063. There’s no denying the Tour S Black will be the most forgiving and steady option in the Tour Black line but will require a golfer that doesn’t mind an oversized head and a non-conventional build. The Spider Tour S Black will be offered in two options. First, a face-balanced, double-bend with counterbalancing at 38”, and second as the Tour S Black Long, a center-shafted, face balanced putter at 46” in length.

To further enhance the black PVD heads, each Spider Tour Black putter will have a KBS CT Putter Black PVD Stepless shaft as the custom option, with badging that fits perfectly with the dark copper accents. The Long Game with Mizuno

So, what better way to celebrate that than a collaboration with another brand that has historic ties in American production, Bridgestone Golf. 

Bridgestone Golf X Pabst Blue Ribbon 

If you have been paying attention, then you have seen the past year show some fun from Bridgestone Golf. The product has never wavered in just how tremendous it is, but, for a time the brand has seemed a bit buttoned to the top, simply doing what they do and never straying from that path. Well, to close out 2024 they have collaborated with brands like Eastside Golf as well Period Correct for limited releases of the Tour B X, but this might be the biggest sign yet of a brand embracing the fun once again and we are excited about it.

Founded in 1844, Pabst Blue Ribbon has been an American brand for 180 years, and those roots stuck out to Bridgestone Golf given their golf ball manufacturing lineage here in the States as well. According to Bridgestone President Dan Murphy:

“We are proud to be associated with such a historic American brand, both Pabst Brewing Company and Bridgestone Golf manufacture in the USA, and both believe strongly in American craftsmanship. This is a collaboration rooted in celebrating American manufacturing.” 

So, what does this collab entail? Of course there are golf balls with limited dozens of the Bridgestone Tour B adorned with the Pabst Blue Ribbon logo and enclosed in box which matches the aesthetic that PBR is so recognized for. However, there will also be a limited edition towel showcasing a unique Pabst Blue Ribbon print.
