However, on the cusp of victory, his dark past comes back to haunt him.

Review: Two strong characters pitted against each other itself makes for a fantastic story. Their contrasting personalities, backgrounds and approach set a good premise for the battlefield and the war (within and outside) becomes interesting. This is what Rakesh Sarang tries to encapsulate and portray in This fim. To a large extent, with great support from his leads, Swwapnil and Sachin, the director succeeds in plotting a gripping tale. <br/>

The story opens with Shamrao Deshmukh (Pilgaonkar) advising his son Varad (Chandekar) to forget the past and move on with his life. Soon, we are introduced to Sanika (Ghogare) who is in a tough situation and to whom Shamrao arranges Varad’s marriage with the thought of making her life better. However, there’s a hidden agenda to Shamrao’s move. This, combined with his egoistical nature and greed for power make Shamrao a detestable person. He meets his match in the form of Shlok (Joshi), who single-handedly makes Shamrao’s life miserable to settle an old score. <br/>

This fim starts off on a good note. It builds up a decent and gripping premise and introduces the viewer to the men and women in the battlefield; some present willingly while others dragged in against will. It proceeds at a good pace too. But then lightning strikes and everything goes haywire. The second half of the film tries to bring back the pace but doesn’t manage a lot. The songs could’ve been totally done away with. They send the build-up and pace for a toss.<br/>

In the ensemble of well-known actors, Swwapnil and Sachin get the most screen-time and they do justice to their parts. Both actors venture into unfamiliar zones and their performances are a big reason behind the film sailing through for most of its running time. Siddharth and newcomer Pranali are sincere in their portrayals but theirs are secondary roles compared to the two army generals.
<br/>

The promos of this film had raised expectations and for a fair amount of time, the team tries to meet those. Ultimately, what could’ve been a pretty good watch ends up being just a decent one
<director>Rakesh Sarang</director>

Faster Fene

<img margin: 2,2,2,2; src='https://image.ibb.co/goxokT/ff_s.jpg' height='180px' width='150px' style='float:left;'> The series spans across 20 books and features novels as well as short stories about Banesh aka This film, a street-smart school kid with great deductive powers and a persistent sense of adventure. A stalwart of Marathi children’s literature, B R Bhagwat, created the character roughly half a century ago, and the upcoming film adaptation raised all sorts of questions in my mind. Who is the ideal audience for the film? The kids who idolized the character a generation ago or the present teenagers? Would the stories sound dated after all this time? Would the film follow the original timeline or reimagine the character in the present?

As it turns out, director Aditya Sarpotdar, and his screenwriter Kshitij Patwardhan have chosen the approach well. They are aware that nostalgia may be interesting for an audience of a certain age, but if the character has to survive and pave the way for possible sequels, it has to appeal to today’s youth. This would only be possible if the character is entirely reimagined as a contemporary hero. So in a reboot of sorts, Fene arrives with an entirely new story set in the present time, with some details changed, but the spirit of the character intact. Banesh is a bit older now, appearing for a medical entrance exam.

Although the film makes a passing reference to FaFe’s adventure in Pratapgad, narrated in one of the books, the film is an origin story for all practical purposes. It introduces the character in great detail, shows off his abilities and vigor, introduces several other characters, forming a backdrop and setting stage for newer adventures. The city of Pune and B R Bhagwat appearing as one of the central figures complete the set-up.

After a catchy prologue that serves as a mini adventure in itself, FaFe (Wagh) appears for the entrance exam and is shocked to hear about a suicide of a fellow student soon after. He suspects foul play and decides to get to the bottom of things. Confronted with a massive scam with the diabolical villain Appa Andhare (Kulkarni) at its centre, FaFe struggles to find a firm footing. He gets help from his childhood friend and young journo Aaboli (Pethe), a reformed young thief, Bhu- Bhu, (More) and Bhagwat (Prabhavalkar), a prolific writer suffering from a mental block.

This film plays out like a straight thriller, without any romantic interludes, family drama and other unnecessary filler material. The film is entirely without songs, and things move at a fast pace, ratcheting up the tension as the plot thickens. The update is complete with the use of contemporary technology from cellphones to Facebook live and new meanings to popular abbreviations. The film stretches one twist too many in the second half and just before the climax, launches into a long, unnecessary explanation, but these are relatively minor flaws.

The film features an excellent cast in roles large and small, but three characters are standouts: Amey Wagh who embodies FaFe so well that he is likely to please the young and old alike, Dilip Prabhavalkar in a smaller, but significant role of Bhagwat and Girish Kulkarni as Appa, the mastermind. Appa outshines FaFe in many sequences, the entrapment in the bus for example, and I won’t be surprised if you subconsciously root for him to win, a victory of sorts for the celebrated actor.

'Bhalchandra' lives with his people. They all sell fruits, Flowers, Honey etc on Hill Station and Market to earn a living. Instead of taking education 'Bhalya' has to work because of his poverty. But in this situation also only a thing of pleasure for him is his passion for cricket

But his father 'Shukrya' hates cricket as Bhalya neglects working with him and spends his time in cricket and his father has to incur heavy losses. According to 'Shukrya' cricket means for rich society as well as he gets bad behavior from rich society.

In this adverse condition Bhalya continues his love towards cricket. Gradually the cricket club of Pali noticed Bhalya's passion for cricket Because of his batting they all come very close to Bhalya. Ignoring all the rules of their club they started to train Bhalya. But the founder of club and MLA Shri Gajabhao dosen't agree this as he has two obstacle in this political career and his son's cricket career are Bhaly's cricket and the other is tribal people and Shukrya has to listen a lot from Gajabhao and when when he comes to know that Bhaly's cricket is the main reason behind Gajbhao's anger and that's only rich society notice BHaly's tribe, he decides to support Bhalya. So there clashes between two father.

In the pali cricket club Bhaly's has to face malice who is Gajabhao son. But to see Bhalya's batting other players in the club decide to make (by hiding his iddentiey) Bhalya play under 16 team even though he is not a member of the club. In this match Bhalya's great batting wins the match in very difficult situation.

Mr. Richanr Poal saw Bhalya's passion and hard work towards cricket in adverse situation and wrote a book
<director>Nitin Kamble</director>

Anavatt

<img margin: 2,2,2,2; src='https://image.ibb.co/mErnS8/an.jpg' height='180px' width='150px' style='float:left;'> This film is a story of a doctor named Vinay who along with his archaeologist wife Madhura embarks on a journey to treat residents of a village located far away from the modern amenities of city life. It has all elements of a psychological thriller and is backed by splendid camera work and music much like ‘Sau Shashi Deodhar’ and ‘Akalpith’.

Vinay’s grandfather’s last wish is for the newlyweds to spend a year after their marriage helping villagers. Taking this as an opportunity to spend quality time in picturesque surroundings, the couple reaches the village where they meet Kamat (Makarand Anaspure) who becomes their guide and helping hand. As Vinay dedicates time to cure the folks and gather material for his research, Madhura indulges in her other love interest-photography. She explores the hundred-year-old house that they are put up in and the surroundings. After seeing the photos, the caretaker of the house asks her to get rid of them as they will invite an unwanted spirit that looms the place. Vinay and Madhura refuse to do so and that’s when things go awry.

Coming from Gajjendra Ahirey’s stables, one expects a brilliant storyline and equally great execution.
<director>Gajendra Ahirey</director>

Ek Taraa

<img margin: 2,2,2,2; src='https://image.ibb.co/knHzqJ/ek_s.jpg' height='180px' width='150px' style='float:left;'> Avadhoot Gupte’s first two outings had Mumbai at their backdrop. He then went far north to Bhatinda with his next and he returns to familiar territory with both location and subject-wise.

The film starts in a small village near Alandi with a young Dnyaneshwar aka Mauli (Juvekar) gearing up to participate in a singing talent hunt. The latter part of the film unfolds in Mumbai. The subject being about a singer and his journey in the industry is something that only Gupte could’ve done justice to considering his association with music. Comparisons with Imtiaz Ali’s 'Rockstar' were rife among the audience and 'Ek Taraa' does have a resemblance to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer but only in bits and pieces. Like 'Rockstar' it is based on your typical boy-next-door’s journey to the top and his eventual fall from grace. But the premise is entirely different and so are many other elements associated with Mauli’s journey which ranges from simpleton to contest winner to arrogant star to an addict to losing everything and coming back to square one.

Gupte’s film boasts of a stellar cast, most of whom were eagerly awaiting the release of the film due to its long delay. Santosh Juvekar delivers an impressive performance and carves out a way for many more substantial roles to come. Ditto with Urmila whose transformation from the carefree village belle named Chatura to the suppressed and hurt wife is noteworthy. It is a delight to see Tejaswini Pandit, as the self-made Urjaa, doing something other than social issue oriented roles and she is fantastic with her character. Sagar Karande, Sunil Tawde and Amole Gupte do justice to their cameos too.

Its probably the best Marathi film made in years! The best aspect of it is that even after being universal in theme & approach the heart of it is very Marathi!</b>

This film means a circle. In the context of this film the circle of life. And in this circle of life at regular intervals there is darkness & then theres light. However as a wise wizard once said, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”

What Makarand Mane (director) succeeds in doing is to motivate oneself to look out for the light. A film that is so relevant to the current disastrous state of our farmer could have gone either ways. That way was effective in an opposite way. A depressing end is not necessarily, a depressing message. The marketing strategy of team This film has strictly been that this film is presenting a solution!
But in my understanding the solution isnt that simple & hence the positivity that could drive oneself towards finding a solution is what the film actually gives the audience, instead of the solution itself. Beyond this very local context of the film, beneath theres a universal theme to it. The father-son bond is not new in universal cinema, but This film is probably the best depiction of the same in the recent history of Indian Cinema.
After winning the national award for Best Marathi film two years ago, This film has waited for its time & fortunately or unfortunately its releasing in times where weve just went through a huge farmers strike. But the light part is that theres Waari atmosphere all over Maharashtra. Just like Elizabeth Ekadashi Pandharpur is an essential part of this film. In one of the dialogs the lead character says to an old man, you & me were here because we believe theres god in Pandharpur! And then the journey suggests us that for finding the god within one must work towards it. Miracles dont occur on their own, one must create ones own miracle!

Shashank Shende is absolutely brilliant in the film. His silence speaks louder than his words, & those magical eyes! The little kid Sahil Joshi is a true find. He compliments Shende beautifully. Abhay Mahajan too does the good guy part soulfully. Kalyanee Mulye is seen in a surprising role & has done justice to it. Most of the film was shot with a hidden cam & many a times you can actually sense normal people present at that place in the frame. The film has been shot beautifully & the editing too is top notch. The background score too needs a mention. The songs & background are so immersed in one another that its difficult to recognize them separately.
This film is an extremely rare complete film that can interest all kinds of audience. It also proves that to make a good film budget can never be an issue. The Marathi audiences too have consistently proved that they are not expecting lavish sets, locations or prosperity to be seen in Marathi films. There are lot of other Hindi & South films that can serve them that, in Marathi they look out for a human connection & This film makes a connection instantly.

With nothing exciting to watch among the Hindi releases This film has a bright chance of pulling a good amount of audiences.
<director>Makrand Mane</director>

What's Up Lagna

<img margin: 2,2,2,2; src='https://image.ibb.co/dVmnko/wl.jpg' height='180px' width='150px' style='float:left;'> <b>Please note : This film has average video quality but still watchable, there is little audio sync issue at the end but movie is really good and fun to watch, that is the reason why we are providing as is, you can wait if would like to watch in good quality video.</b>

This film deals with an important issue pertaining to young urban professionals, namely, whether a relationship can survive without the physical presence of both parties. If you can’t find time for each other while climbing the career ladder, are you in a healthy relationship?

If you fit in this class bracket, you will find moments in the film that resonate with you. They will make you reflect on the lifestyle choices you’ve made and ask you if this is the ideal life you always visualised? The problem is, that the film doesn’t go beyond these moments.

Considering the complexity of the subject, it would have been wiser to get to the main issue right away. However, that doesn’t happen. The film wastes the entire preintermission time detailing a very familiar love affair between an IT professional, Aakash, (Tatwawadi) and a talented actress, Ananya (Behere), leading upto their marriage. This light-hearted first half has little to do with a more serious second half, which begins when the couple has to cut their honeymoon short due to Ananya’s shoot for a daily soap. Soon, both realise that their individual work cycles are keeping them apart. The only contact between them is an occasional phone conversation. The film understands the issue, but portrays it superficially. Both characters talk about the effort at working on the relationship, but their heart doesn’t seem in it. For example, one of the scenes shows them planning a dinner date as Ananya is to get free by 7.30 pm. Then, she is stuck till 11.15 pm, as Aakash waits at the restaurant and gets upset. Getting late at a TV serial shoot is expected, but in a relationship which is already turbulent, why can’t she inform Aakash on the phone? There are several incidences like this where situations could have been easily saved and they aren’t. The screenplay goes one step forward and two back with the cycle of disagreements, followed by mutual compromise, then a sermon by one of the relatives, and then disagreements again. Although the problem is genuine, a lot of urban couples are living in even more complex relationships. So an approach towards finding a realistic solution for their life together would have been welcome. Here, we never go beyond cliches in romance or out of it.
<director>Vishwas Joshi</director>

Baapjanma

<img margin: 2,2,2,2; src='http://mtalky.com/_cacheimg/uploads/1632_s.jpg' height='180px' width='150px' style='float:left;'> <b> This is must watch movie for awesome experience and it's unique story.</b><br/>
Bhaskar Pandit (Khedekar), a retired man, is content with his daily routine. But his cancer diagnosis changes things and suddenly, there's so much that Bhaskar wants to sort out in life. The Marathi industry is undergoing a change. It is being taken over by young directors who understand the viewers' sensibilities and are coming out with films that strike a chord with the current as well as older generation. Leading the change are people like Varun Narvekar (Muramba) and Nipun Dharmadhikari (Baapjanma). While Varun chose to tell a love story from an entirely different perspective, Nipun brings the strained father-children relation alive onscreen, with subtle humour and a good story.

As a RAW agent, Bhaskar Pandit has experienced an adventurous and dangerous life. But, following the death of his wife and his retirement, he steps into a routine life and has made peace with it. Due to strained relations with his son Vikram (Patwardhan) and daughter Veena (Lohakare), his only companions now are his man Friday Mauli (Chirputkar) and the pet dog Tiger. Following his cancer diagnosis, the only thing he wants to iron out before dying is his relation with his children. And to do that, he hatches a plan that is unbelievable but not impossible to pull off.

There is a certain liberty that the director has taken in order to ensure a certain flow for the story and it's tailor-made to suit the character requirements. For example, to explain Bhaskar maintaining a distance from his family, the RAW agent background comes in handy. But once you accept that liberty, the entire film is a beautiful piece of work, be it in terms of direction, technical aspects or acting.

Nipun chooses to bring out the seriousness of the subject through humour and aces it. On the other hand, the actors put in their heart and soul into the film, making it what it is. Of late, Khedekar has been doing an awful lot of fatherly roles but he brings in a certain amount of variation in each. As the friendly dad in Muramba, he was convincing and as the father trying to right his wrongs in , he takes it a notch higher. Chirputkar's portrayal of Mauli is so good that there's no other actor that you can picture in his place. The supporting cast is equally strong, with Lohakare, Patwardhan and Vaze delivering strong performances.
<director>Nipun Dharmadhikari</director>
