Designed to give the groom some love when everyone’s eyes are on the bride, the uniquely tailored 14 or 28 day fitness and nutrition plans are guaranteed to get any man feeling and looking his best for the big day.</p>
<p>The bespoke fitness and nutrition plans created by <strong>Jon Denoris</strong> offer short, targeted sessions that deliver top results. Jon will use the skills that have helped his top celebrity clients to kick-start the body’s fat burning process and get grooms looking trim and healthy. Personal training at his Marylebone fitness studio, <strong>Club 51</strong> will be followed by detoxification and fat loss sauna sessions at London’s men’s grooming spa, <strong>The Refinery</strong>.</p>

<p>This year <strong>Shiseido</strong> celebrate their 140<sup>th</sup> anniversary in business since they were founded in 1872 by Yushin Fukuhara. Ever since the brands’ inception their commitment to innovation has seen them extend the boundaries of skincare; a true example of their native ‘Kaizen’<sup class='footnote'><a href='#fn-12862-1' id='fnref-12862-1'>1</a></sup> philosophy.</p>
<p>Their men’s range has been purposefully growing, with each new addition being as considered and &#8216;need relevant&#8217; as those preceding them &#8211; I’m pleased to report that their latest addition is no exception.</p>

<p>The <strong>Shiseido Men Active Energizing Concentrate</strong> is a serum that can be used in conjunction with another moisturiser, or in hotter seasons, by itself. The serum possesses the same ethereal feel as its predecessors (such as the <a href="http://www.apetogentleman.com/brands/review-shiseido-men-total-revitalizer/" target="_blank">Total Revitalizer</a>) albeit it with a slightly more viscous texture.  A targeted anti-ageing formula, the serum feels light, but leaves a reassuring ‘film’ on the skin lending weight to its argument.</p>

<li>Formulated with highly advanced Energeticel Technology to supply fresh energy to the skin by supporting the cells that produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid<sup class='footnote'><a href='#fn-12862-2' id='fnref-12862-2'>2</a></sup>.</li>
<li>Reduces dullness, visible pores and excess oil to create healthy looking skin.</li>
</ul>
<h5>Results</h5>
<p>The serum hydrated the skin whilst leaving it more taut, and hence looking ‘brighter’. The oil and pore reducing function appears to work as no spots were experienced during the trial period<sup class='footnote'><a href='#fn-12862-3' id='fnref-12862-3'>3</a></sup>. For those with more oily skin I would advise to use either this serum or your moisturiser; alternatively you can use the serum purely as a night cream. In summary, another yet success for Shiseido.</p>

<p>CB: <strong>You&#8217;re an internationally renowned skincare expert and have worked with some of the world&#8217;s best known celebrities. What is THE most important skincare tip you insist on your clients following?</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Double cleansing &#8211; try and spend the most amount of time on this part of your routine.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>NE</strong>: Spend time working the cleanser in and around your t-zone and neck, then repeat. Travelling around, especially in the city, builds up an invisible layer of bacteria and dirt so double cleanse to ensure you get rid of it all.</p>
<p>CB: <strong>Molton Brown is one of Ape to Gentleman&#8217;s favourite brands. We admire their planet-wide quest for the finest ingredients. In their new skincare collection which ingredient and product stands out the most to you?</strong></p>
<p><strong>NE</strong>: The Indian karanja tree seed oil within Molton Brown’s <a title="Molton Brown" href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3660X619341&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.moltonbrown.co.uk%2Fstore%2Fskincare%2Ftargeted-skincare%2Fkaranja-tree-sunshield-spf-30%2FSR013%2F&sref=rss" target="_blank">Karanja Tree Sunshield SPF 30</a> is my favourite ingredient as it creates an age-defence barrier that avoids the use of harsh chemicals or heavy formulations which clog the pores.</p>
<p>CB: <strong>Men are infamous for adopting the &#8216;less is more&#8217; approach when it comes to skincare. Can you suggest a simple and effective 3-step routine for us to follow?</strong></p>
<p><strong>NE</strong>:</p>
<ol>
<li>Cleanse (and repeat).</li>
<li>Tone (in particular; the natural fruit acids within the Molton Brown toner act as an exfoliator &#8211; perfect to prevent ingrowing hairs with shaving).</li>
<li>Moisturise (massage a thick layer on to your face before bed for extra hydration).</li>
</ol>
<p>N.B If you are in a hot climate you can use the SPF instead of the moisturiser during the day and then a thick moisturiser at night to hydrate.</p>

<p>CB: <strong>What would be your desert island grooming product?</strong></p>

<p>This ideology has inspired the latest campaign by Lacost L!ve. Here they place emphasis on the ‘Unconventional talents’ of New York. The shoot was casted from the streets of Brooklyn and features artist <strong>Aakash Nihalani</strong> &#8211; graphic street tape art. This unique form of art captures the spirit and emotion of not only the man himself, but also his surroundings.</p>

<p>Shot by <strong>Mark Hunter</strong>, the new campaign features free living, spirited characters that take the spirit of the brand to a much more literal level. There is a sense of rawness within the photos, showing that the brands sporting heritage can also be implemented onto the earthy streets.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Classic Italian Shaving brand <strong>Proraso</strong> have announced a reformulation of their iconic shaving range. There will understandably be some concern from the Proraso faithful over the change – as is to be expected &#8211; but rest assured, we have been informed that the products remain extensively the same. The main difference between this new Proraso range and the ‘old’ one (besides the packaging) is now over 95% of the ingredients now have natural origin, and all products are  100% Paraben, Silicone, Mineral Oil and SLS free.</p>
<blockquote><p>The new packaging is in a slightly darker green and features diagonal stripes inspired by the iconic barber’s pole, befitting the brand’s barbering heritage.</p></blockquote>
<p>Established in 1926, Proraso is a name that has earned a place in Italian History. Conceived in Florence, where the secret formulation has been passed down from one generation to the next, this new carnation of the Proraso utilises 80 years of experience to create a shaving range that is as current, as it is traditional.</p>
