100 million iPod nanos since launcing its first piece in 2005, and new verions will make Apple to hold ground even more strongly in future.

At very first look, new nano looks alike its pervious version but moving towards new detials, picture gets different. For an example in perivous version screen was 2 inch wide where as in new nano it is 2.2 inches on the diagonal. With some more important features loaded with this new nano, it is availabe for US $149 (8 GB) and $179 (16 GB).

Apple somewho maganes to put an camera on new nano backside with a microphone which size is no more than a pinhole width. Apple says, it was not easy to do so. Video quality of nano is not so great but is is easy to use this feature.

New nano has a built in speaker, it is not visible since there is no grill for it. And now it is possible to here a song or recorded video without plugging a headphone.

Thou, nano's Fm radio does not work without a headphone since it work as an antenna. Speaker is not so loud, but a nice feature accocrding to me!
"Live pause" is another neat feature which is capable to store up to 15 mintues of radio broadcasting. It even includes a built-in pedometer for logging exercie goals [So go.. go.. joggers ;) ]

In future, there is more tweaks one can expect from Apple but till date, it is one of the best multi media player under $200.

According to X-bit Labs website, which published 4 page interview of Tom Sonderman where many topic discussed such as the Globalfoundries name, origin of company and many more other things came in light during interview, but in the end when X-Bit Labs asked a question about AMD outsourcing its chipset and graphics chips to Globalfoundries.

He said, "We intend on competing for AMD’s graphics business in the 32nm/28nm technology node," However, as X-Bit pointed out, AMD is obliged to require both microprocessors and GPUs from Globalfoundries, as AMD is one of the owners; using the term "competing" may have been inaccurate. Still, Sonderman's answer hints to the possibility that the company may be ready for 28nm processing soon.

Additionally, Sonderman said that the company is already sniffing around for additional clients outside AMD. "We are actively engaging with multiple tier 1 fabless and fablite semiconductor companies who require leading-edge capacity," he added. "We’re not ready to announce any new relationships yet."

"PC platform technologies (CPUs, GPUs), wireless, game consoles, and telecom are a few examples of markets we’re targeting," he confirmed.

Sonderman also pointed towards its 32nm technology, which is already functioning in Dresden. Thou, he did not revel any more details on 28nm processing and when company is going to carry out the new technology.

So keep your figure cross to access in whole new world of '28nm'.

AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4890 is heavily load as it 1.36 TeraFLOPS, GDDR5 memory using a 256-bit interface, 800 stream processors, and clock speeding almost about 1 GHz mark.

“The ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics card represents the AMD sweet spot strategy reloaded,” said Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager, Graphics Products Group, AMD. “With last year’s launch of the ATI Radeon HD 4850 and ATI Radeon HD 4870 products, we gave gamers great performance and an incredible value proposition. Today, we’re doing it again. ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics cards are incredible performers, priced to sell in all major markets worldwide.”
Some of the websites are already showing date of releases as 6th or 7th of April. Thou, there is no official announcement from Intel and this dates are estimates only. Core i7 975 is expected to ship out in later this May.

The outlook of 45nm Core i7 975 is highly-anticipated one. This new processor provides core speed of 3.33 GHz, uses 1 MB of L2 cache and 8 MB of L3 cache, provides support for LGA 1366 sockets and also has a TDP of 130W. Recently the processor was leaked, overclocked, and benchmarked, pushed up to an "extreme" clock core speed of 5,239 MHz, breaking the then-current record of Futuremark's 2DMark05 benchmark application

As we come price section, here Intel Core i7 975 is hit hard with a cost of $999 which is quite high. Keeping price an issues Intel is launching similar processor with less speed about 3.06 GHz for $562, which is still high enough to hit your pocket hard :D.

Some more other processor which are lineup to get launch in May itself are consist of the Pentium Dual-Core E6300, the Core 2 Duo E7600, and the Celeron Dual-Core E1600 which will cost users about $84, $84, and $53 respectively.

Thou, the all-in-one desktop comes with faster processor and better graphics the maker provide the new model at the same price as the old model.

iMac consist a 24-Inch screen, a processor of 2.66 GHz Intel core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of DDR3 memory(I guess which is more than sufficient, ;-)..), hard-drive which is capable of storing 640 GB of data(man!!!), and a Nvidia GeForce 9400M integrated graphics and all this heavy loaded machine is available at price of $1, 499, which is quite same as 20-Inch iMac cost to your pocket.

An much anticipated upgrade from Apple was in Mac Mini, which is one of the company's least pricey desktop. A major improvement in the system, which measures 6.5 by 6.5 by 2 inches, is the GeForce 9400M that delivers five times better graphics performance than the older Mini, according to Apple. This time Apple claims its Mini consumes less energy by 13 watts, but only when system is idle.

now it will be interesting to see that will consumers will switch over to PCs which runs Microsoft Windows or will stick to there personal favorite even during this hard time.

Apple's 24-inch iMac can be consider as a price cut because it cost you same as the old model even after all up-gradation in new iMac.
"It's their best effort at adjusting the price, but their computers are still more expensive than other systems," Gartner analyst Mika Kitagawa said.

In an interview, head of Asus's Eee PC division, Samson Hu, said that the company has allotted a group of engineers to create an Android netbook which is expected to get complete later this year. Thou, it is not clear that company will make it commercial, Hu added.

Asus has a lot of experience over netbook field. Company also carries a good knowledge with Android, since it is working with its Garmin to develop a line of smartphone, and some of them will run on Google's Android.

Way back in 2007, when Android was introduced, it was said that search giant is trying to expand its reach in mobile phone technology. Till date only T-mobile G1 is a handset which runs on Android, but things are going to change soon because later this year many smartphones companies like HTC, Motorola and other major cell phone manufactures are expected to carry Android in their handset.

Currently smartphones are ruling the market, and it is Google how wants to get its OS in this wild run. Google also wants to get its OS in other machines like set-top boxes, mobile Internet devices and netbooks. Archos is already prepping to put the Linux-based OS on an Internet-connected tablet, Nvidia will support Android on its Tegra chipset, and Freescale Semiconductor recently added support for Google's OS to its ARM-based processors

The smartphone we are going to talk about is called as Omnia HD which is as similar as previous Samsung handset called Omnia, as per name Omnia HD is quite capable of recording videos at 720p resolution, which means high quality. Though, its 3.7 inch wide screen cannot display HD with its 360 by 640 resolution, but to over come this company provided a HDMI port to play back these videos on any HD stuffs.

Camera in handset is powerful with 8 megapixels as well as autofocus and flash. Some excellent features like geotagging and smile, face and blink detecting technology, making it very handy. Not only this, handset all provides a on-board software which enable users to edit there photos and videos.

Omnia HD is fueled by Symbian S60 5.0, therefore it became first handset to use this operating system. Symbian designed its OS for touch input, and handset will use TouchWiz user interface which will enable users to enter to different widgets by just one-click method. Provided widgets are like stock, whether, news, and other Web based information.

Connectivity options on the Omnia HD are what you'd expect from a high-end handset, including Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth. Its GPS chip can use cellular data for assisted GPS functions such as location-based services, and navigation.

A robust multimedia player is provided in handset to hit the deck hard and will play all audio and video of user choice. A built in office document viewer for professionals. To store all this multimedia files, the handset comes with 8 GB or 16 GB (depends upon customer choice) of memory. A microSD slot to transfer its data.

Omnia HD will ship-out in second quarter of the current year. Regarding price Samsung already cleared it will cost higher than the existing Omnia smartphone.

This new flash chip enables you to carry 64 GB of data right in your pocket, chip size is just about fingernail. And all this is done by storing four bits per cell, where as in standard one or two bits per cell.

"Developing a four-bit-per-cell chip is a massive challenge, and we consider this to be a major breakthrough," says Khandker Quader, senior vice president of memory technology and product development at SanDisk.

In recent years, flash memory has become backbone of latest electronics industry and it is been used in all most all gadgets, like laptops, gaming consoles, cameras and in many more stuffs.

SanDisk came with whole new algorithms that runs on a flash memory chip controller which makes this device ahead than current chips. This algorithms are significant factors in reliably cramming in four bits per cell.

"We've introduced a number of key concepts that allow us to manage the memory side of it," says Quader. "The complexity of this distribution is so much different than what you're doing with two bits per cell."

XFX's HD 4870 X2 will join the Radeon HD powered 4000 graphics card series. Thou, price and shipment of card is not unveiled yet.

XFX Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphic card comes with 800x2(1600) stream processors, it also offers 2.4 TeraFLOPS of graphics processing power. The graphic card has core clocked at 750 MHz, 2GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 3.6 GHz and will offer wider 230 GB/sec memory bandwidth over 512-bit memory interface.

A resolution of 2560x1600 is supported by new graphic card, which is capable of running with Microsoft Direct X 10.1 based games and compatible with Direct X 10. The HD movie buffs can make the best of Accelerated Video Transcoding for converting H.264 and MPEG-2 videos 19x times faster while full 1080p files can be encoded to H.264 1.8x times faster than real-time.

It is say that XFX comes with life-time warranty on its cards but there is no official announcement from company. As graphic card is introduced by a well known graphic manufacturer, we can guess the price will be high.

Earlier introduced, Sapphire's Radeon HD 4870 X2 which gave a good impression with its blazing performance but lagged when overclocked. So XFX, kept this drawback in mind and developed this new graphic card.

With the help of this next-generation technology, Samsung is expecting to regain its lead in current economy downturn ever seen. Samsung is moving fast to bring it thinner circuitry memory chips and sustain its lead in this category.

Samsung is also planning to implies its 40-nm technology for the mass production of 2 GB DDR3 memory chips as well as for 4 GB DDR3 memory chips by the end of this year. Manufacturing cost of 40 nm chips are less expensive in compare of DDR2 components so we can expect low cost memory chips in future which are scheduled to ship in 2010.

In compare of 50 nm technology, new design chips consumes 30% less power, which means 'green technology'.
DRAM chips usually deliver system memory for desktops and laptops, as well as can be implemented for mobile device and gaming consoles. Thou Samsung has suffered some financial setbacks as a result of a market glut that has sent prices plummeting and inventories soaring.

In December, Gartner lowered its 2009 estimates for worldwide semiconductor revenue. The analyst firm expects the market to see a 16.3% decline to $219.2 billion. The drop would mark the first time the industry has suffered back-to-back years of declining sales. Last year, revenue fell by 4.4%, according to Gartner.

"The 'Need for Speed' brand is quite powerful. It has great recognition, even outside of gaming. When we talked to consumers about what the brand meant to them, we realized that it could be stretched to new limits on different platforms."

A collaboration has took place between Need for Speed creator EA Black Box and Slightly Mad Studios for the whole new series Need for Speed Shift development and for Need for Speed World Online EA Black Box worked with EA Singapore. Company said Black Box will continue to work on a new action driving game, despite recent company-wide layoffs.

"They will still be very much involved in the development of 'Need for Speed' products," Munro said. "Over the years, we've asked the Black Box team to deliver a new 'Need for Speed' game every year. We've gone to a couple of new studios to deliver next fall's games to inject freshness into the category and give the Black Box team time to retrench."

The new games are expected to be out later this current year, Need for Speed Shift, simulation racing for the PS 3 and Xbox 360. Second, Need for Speed World Online, a multiplayer action driving game for the PC; and third but not the least Need for Speed Nitro, an arcade style racing game which is developed by EA Montreal for The Nintendo Wii and DS.

"In the past, our 'Need for Speed' games have done very well on all platforms," Munro said. "We just think we can do better with this new plan. We actually have the opportunity to devote an entirely new studio and development team to the creation of a from-the-ground-up Nintendo-only 'Need for Speed' game. We didn't have those resources available before."

Aim of company is to built new green generation PCs with its new technology, which will be utilized in 16-GB dual in-line memory modules or likely to be used in RDIMM for servers; 8 GB unbuffered DIMM for workstation and desktop PCs, as well as for laptop with 8 GB small outline DIMM.

DDR3 is a type of DRAM technology, which comes with a several advantages over previous technology which was DDR2. Most beneficial point of DDR3 is its data transfer rate which is high up to eight times than the previous technology, while power consumption is reduce up to 30% and that makes a big difference, in particular when we all are talking about green technology.

"We have leveraged our strength in innovation to develop the first 4-GB DDR3, in leading the industry to higher DRAM densities," Kevin Lee, VP for technical marketing at Samsung Semiconductor, said in a statement.

Samsung's new technology is capable of operating at 1.35 volts and has a maximum speed of 1.6 Gbps, (for me it is quite high). Samsung is applying its dual-die package technology to its 16-GB modules which can be combined to get one maximum 32-GB dual-die package, which is twice the capacity of products based on the previous highest chip density.

Samaung said that it will imposed its 50 nm technology to all its DRAM products. It is to be noted that, company had already released its 50 nm 2-GB DDR3 DRAM, on other hand Samsung also offers 1-GB DDR3 DRAM.

According to IDC figures, it is said that by 2011, DDR3 is expected to account about 72% of the DDR market, while 29% this year.

The graphic card is called as "Quadro NVS 420"; the graphic card has a total of 16 processor core on two GPUs and a total of 512 MB of memory with total bandwidth of 11.2 GB per second processor (man..!).

When it comes to power requirement it consumes about 40 watts and provides support up to 4 different monitors with a high resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels each. Company says, card fully supports both Intel and AMD processor and can run well with operating systems like Microsoft's Windows and Linux.

Card is already been tested on several business system, which includes Adobe's Creative Suite and Autodesk's AutoCAD designing software’s. The Quadro NVS 420 has been design for all sorts of fields whether user’s lies from content creator or work in oil and gas industry, it is suitable for all types of users.

Launching of the Quadro NVS 420 is expected in February which will cost about $499.

Nvidia already announced its future plans to releases products for low cost mini-laptops in middle of this current year, popularity of mini-laptops are growing fast and company expects a major profit in the field. Thou, company have seen some downturns in current time, which directly affects it PC sales that use Nvidia products. The company this month slashed its revenue projections by 40% to 50% for its fiscal fourth quarter, which ends Jan. 25

According to search giants, "The preferred sites feature lets you set your Google Web Search preferences so that your search results match your unique tastes and needs. Fill in the sites you rely on the most, and results from your preferred sites will show up more often when they're relevant to your search query."

In other words, preferred site system will suggest frequently visited sites based on search history basically will depend upon its relevance, but it will completely depend upon users that which site they want to add or delete.

Okay let me take an example to describe it clearly; let's say I am searching some photographs say about ocean and and if I am interested only getting some decent pictures regarding topic ocean, and not want to read articles about ocean and stuff, then after pressing search button the result I will get are like photobucket.com, flicker.com and many more like this sites then I have to add all this sites to my preferred search list.

Google also said, "If the feature goes live to everyone, people will be able to pick a list of authoritative sites and influence all search results"

To access this feature, you have to signed in to your previous or new Google account. After log-in the other thing you have to do is to go to your Google preferences and change the sitting to enable the feature. According to Google, it will analyze your browsing history and offer some suggestion as to which sites you might add to the preferred list. Cool huh..!

Since this current feature is in its experimental stage, Google is keen to hear it from you guys. So please feel free to get more information about this cool feature.

The machine is named, Wind NetTop D130 which is outfitted with an Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor and comes with DDR2 553MHz SDRAM, SO-DIMM Memory. Only 35 watts of electricity is required to run the system, which is much less than an average lighting bulb.

It comes with an DVD burner and can connect to digital TV for playing movies and pictures of user choice. The machine backs a stereo surround sound system of 7.1 Channel HD Audio.
This system is MSI's first dual-core NetTop. MSI also built the NetTop 100, which is powered by Atom 230 1.6-GHz processor and 945GC chipset.

System appearance is quite cool, it is roughly 12 inches by 9.5 inches by 2.5 inches, which holds 6 USB ports and a VGA port. Not only this, it also carry a mini-PCI express slot for a Wi-Fi card or to support a TV tuner card.

The desktop, which is almost a size of normal DVD player is the latest product by company in low end of the consumer PC market.
After launching of this supposed net-books reached about 5 million units world-wide in the fourth quarter of last year, and 10 million units is the total sale figure for the whole year, which accounted for 7% of overall PC shipments, according to IDC.

This user interface is a cross platform framework based on C++ that can be used to build application and framework for PCs, set top boxes, and all of the above for mobile phones. With the help of Qt, programmer can built a program with can work on multiple platform with minimal adjustments for a specific platform. It is offered by Nokia owned Qt Software, and cross platform applications that are Qt include Google Earth, Skype, Opera and Last.fm.

Previously, toolkit has been available under the General Public License, as well as a commercial license. Company said LGPL move was made to meant to lower the barrier of entry and boost adoption rate were some key point in mind.

"Nokia is making significant contributions to open source communities through ongoing work with Qt, its contribution of Symbian OS and S60 to the Symbian Foundation, and open development of the Maemo platform," said Kai Oistamo, Nokia's executive VP of devices, in a statement. "By moving to LGPL, opening Qt's source code repositories, and encouraging more contributions, Qt users will have more of a stake in the development of Qt, which will in turn encourage wider adoption."

In an Qt blog, the company said it wold take multiple steps to make Qt more user friendly with the open source software community. Nokia is going to open wide door for Qt source code by engaging more developer on work, will try to reduce the overhead needed to make submission, and will launch a new Web infrastructure to support contributions.

With the releases on Qt 4.5 LGPL license will be available, which is expected for March, the company said. Not only this Qt 4.5 will support for WebKit and performance improvements even more better. No side effect on previous version by all this moves.

On Monday, companies announced that the new LCD and plasma broadband television sets would deliver Netflix movies, television shows, and some other HD content available through Internet connection. The machine will embedded with Netflix streaming software, therefore no external device is required to pull from Netflix's online library.

"Embedding the Netflix streaming software in the television is a natural progression of our partnership with Netflix and our innovative product line," LG Electronics USA president Teddy Hwang said in a prepared statement. "This is an LG industry first, which provides another flexible option for consumers seeking to access exciting content directly through their HDTV."

The company decided to show their television sets during this week's consumer electronic show, 2009 CES, in Las Vegas. They directly stream content from a broadband connection and queues-based user interface. The consumers who have devices can use the Netflix Web site to add movies and TV shows to their own queues. Will accessing site television sets will display the choices and through remote controls users are allowed to read summaries, rating content, watching movies and shows within 30 seconds of choosing them, and a fast-forward or rewind feature is also provided.

"LG Electronics was first to embrace Netflix as a streaming partner a year ago, and was first in 2008 to introduce a Blu-ray disc player that streams movies from Netflix," Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said in a prepared statement. "So it's fitting that LG is the first to introduce Netflix instant streaming directly to the TV with these next-generation HDTVs."

Netflix members owning the devices pay monthly subscriptions which beings from $8.99, for unlimited streaming and DVDs.

The new services will be available on Network Blu-ray Disc player, which is going to be launched in first half quarter of 2009. It will complement the Netflix support already in the devices, the company said.

Recently it was seen that player for the high-definition movie format have failed to be consumers favorite and the major reason for this cause was their high prices in comparison to standard DVD players. A Blu-ray DVD also cost more than standard than a standard DVD.

However, pricing of Blue-ray player have fallen significantly. For example, LG brand was available at Amazon for $290, and other players are hitting market at less than $200. Companies like LG, are hoping to get a higher price for their machines by adding broadband connections for accessing Web Services.

Analysts expect the market for on-demand movies over the Internet to grow in time and will replace DVD, as music download did to CD's. "LG is bridging the gap between packaged media and video-on-demand services to provide entertainment solutions for consumers' demand for content," Tim Alessi, director of product development for LG, said in a statement released Tuesday.

On one hand, where hardware vendors are trying to attract customers by providing Web services in machines. Online video rental services like Netflix and CinemaNow are using consumer electronics manufactures to get more customers.
