Coffee is Timor-Leste's largest non-oil export commodity and supports livelihood of 37.5% of households. The ongoing project introduces improved agroforestry practices for coffee production and food security which are vital for poverty reduction and economic diversification of rural communities. Tangible results began to materialize in 2025 with increased productivity being observed in rehabilitated coffee farms. It is critical that these practices and the proven approach are sustained and scaled up to more farmers to ensure greater development impact.
