Jan’s career spans the wind energy services value chain with deep expertise across commercial strategy, operations and project delivery, and business development. He has held senior roles at LM Wind Power (later GE Vernova) as well as at GES – Global Energy Services, and Gamesa Energie, with responsibility for global service organizations, P&L management, business development, and market expansion across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Most recently, he has been working as an independent consultant supporting companies across commercial, operational, and project delivery topics in the renewable energy sector.

For Apricum’s clients, Jan’s addition strengthens our advisory depth in wind energy — particularly in service business strategy, commercial operations, and organizational scale-up. His hands-on experience building and growing service businesses across global markets makes him a strong resource for clients evaluating acquisition targets, assessing service business potential, or structuring commercial frameworks as part of a deal or strategic review.

Jan holds an MBA / Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (FH) from the University of Applied Sciences Wolfsburg and a civil engineering degree / Bauingenieurwesen (FH) from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg.

Paul’s recent roles include leading financial strategy and structuring for major energy and utility infrastructure developments at ENOWA (NEOM), as well as advising government entities across the Middle East on the design and execution of large-scale PPP and infrastructure projects. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions in project finance, infrastructure investment, and advisory at institutions including ACWA Power, VTB Capital, ABN AMRO, and the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, where he played a key role in shaping infrastructure investment frameworks and financing strategies for national projects.

As a senior advisor at Apricum, Paul will support clients on M&A transaction strategy and execution in the renewable energy and infrastructure space—bringing deep financial structuring expertise and a strong network across institutional investors, developers, and government entities.

Paul holds an MSc in metals & energy finance from Imperial College London, a BSc in environmental geology from Royal Holloway, and has professional qualifications as a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Geologist, and Energy Risk Professional.

Apricum provided full-scope M&A sell-side advisory services throughout the transaction, covering investor materials, investor identification and outreach, the management of a competitive sales process, and support through negotiations, structuring and closing, as well as post-transaction support to achieve key permitting milestones.

The successful divestment of the Iloilo project enables Alta Renewables to focus its resources on its next phase of growth, including the development of a significantly larger renewable energy platform comprising 325 MW of solar PV and 450 MW of battery energy storage. Apricum will again act as sell-side advisor in this next development phase.

The transaction was led by Apricum Senior Advisor Moritz Sticher, who also led Apricum’s previous mandate for Alta Renewables (formerly Energy Lite) in the Philippines. José brings more than two decades of international experience across renewable energy strategy, transactions, project development, and infrastructure investment. His background spans advisory, executive leadership, and capital markets, with deep exposure to solar PV, wind, storage, hydrogen, and emerging clean energy technologies across Europe and Latin America.

Most recently, he served as CEO of Enzen Spain, where he led the Spain and Latin American business through a period of rapid growth and subsequent restructuring, supporting more than 2.5 GW of renewable energy projects across development, due diligence, and execution. These projects included the pre-feasibility and feasibility study of the world’s biggest floating PV facility, 500 MWp in Omkareshwar, India, helping to establish the World Bank manual on bankability for this technology in South Asia.  José has also held senior advisory and board roles, including leading international expansion initiatives and renewable asset transactions in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and beyond.

Earlier in his career, José served as a supervisory board member at Montebalito Energías Renovables (MTBren), leading its international expansion into Mexico, Colombia, and Italy and overseeing the rotation of approximately €30 million in operating Spanish PV assets. Prior to that, José was managing partner at CREARA Energy Experts covering all aspects of renewable energy, energy efficiency and smart grids. Carsten is an experienced international senior executive with deep expertise across the solar value chain. With more than 15 years in senior leadership roles at NorSun, a Norwegian manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers, he played a key role in shaping large-scale expansion strategies in Europe and the USA, securing multi-billion-dollar long-term offtake agreements, and steering the business through highly volatile market conditions.

His experience spans industrial-scale manufacturing, strategic partnerships, policy engagement, and financial restructuring. He has been closely involved in the development of multi-gigawatt expansion projects in Europe and the USA, including securing significant public funding, and has actively contributed to shaping solar manufacturing policy at both EU and national levels.

Carsten is a founding member and co-chair of the European Solar Manufacturing Council, representing more than 70 companies across the solar value chain, and a founding member of the Ultra Low Carbon Solar Alliance. He holds a PhD in physics from Imperial College London and a master’s in physics from RWTH Aachen.

His recent work at Newgreen includes the strategic assessment of two €150M+ hydrogen infrastructure projects, focusing on risk allocation and bankability.

While at NTR plc, Benoît managed the acquisition and €75M refinancing of a 50 MW wind project in France. At An Avel Braz, Benoît led the company’s transformation into an independent power producer by securing financing, insurance, investment and managing complex contract negotiations. Prior to that, he played a key role in scaling Gaia Energy into an international developer by securing a Joint Development Agreement with Enel Green Power for 600 MW of wind projects.

Benoît holds a master’s degree in statistics from the Panthéon-Assas Université Paris and a bachelor’s degree in econometrics from the Université Paris Nanterre.
