Today, we’ve gathered a few of our favorites to help you choose your next camping trip.

1) Cedar Breaks National Monument

If you are looking for some spectacular night sky views, you need to plan your next camping trip to Cedar Breaks National Monument. Located at over 10,000 feet, you can look down into a half-mile deep geologic amphitheater. And when the sun sets, you’ll have crystal-clear night skies to enjoy the beauty of the sky.

2) Mirror Lake Campground

Located in one of the largest and most visited National Forests in the country, Mirror Lake Campground is the perfect place to spend your weekend. Situated 22 miles away from Bryce Canyon National Park, Kodachrome Basin State Park is a must visit park. Utah is filled with so many fun activities to do during the summer. Whether you want a chill morning visiting one of the many amazing farmer’s markets. Or maybe you’re looking for a lovely bookstore. No matter what you’re looking for, there is always something that you can do. But if you’re looking for a way to get out of town for the weekend without having to meet all the crowds of a national park. Then you’ll want to check out one of these amazing state parks.

1) Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point State Park is an immense desert landscape of canyons, high desert woodland, and miles of trails to explore. You’ll find you’ll want to spend the whole weekend here as you explore everything Utah has to offer. From night skies filled with thousands of stars you can’t find in the city. To gorgeous views from millions of years of geological activity.

2) Antelope Island State Park

When you’re looking for a fun adventure without having to go too far from home, then you should consider checking out Antelope Island State Park. Stop in at the visitor center to learn about the plants and animals you’ll find on the island as well as in the lake. Then head out for a hike or to check out the historic Fielding Garr Ranch. And if you want to spend even more time out there, check out the spots to rent for camping.

3) Goblin Valley State Park

5) Kodachrome Basin State Park

Located in the southern part of the state, Kodachrome Basin State Park is a stellar weekend getaway. With great camping options along with colorful landscapes, you don’t want to miss out on checking this out. Hike among the sedimentary pipes that accentuate multi-hued sandstone layers. Then check out a 3D archer course or try your hand at some disc golf. No matter what you choose, you’re bound to have a fun time.
