Any medical physicist who uses imaging technology as part of their practice.

Why Attend?

Whether you are new to the use of diagnostic cone-beam CT in the neurovascular lab, or new to the use of cone-beam CT as part of your radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery verification processes, you need to know about new imaging technologies.

  • How will they benefit your practice?
  • How will they integrate with existing imaging capabilities and information technology infrastructure?
  • What do you need to know to bring these technologies into your practice and adequately test and turn them over for clinical use?

Join our faculty of experts in beautiful San Diego to learn the answer to these questions and more. Particular focus will be given on how to maximize the benefit to risk ratio associated with the use of medical imaging.

Additionally, two Self Assessment Modules (SAMs) will be included in Wednesday’s program (no extra fee).

Objectives:

Medical imaging using ionizing radiation is coming under intense scrutiny from public, professional, and regulatory groups, who all share a common goal of ensuring patient benefit while minimizing patient risk. Continuing education in new and evolving imaging technology, as well as methods to increase benefit while decreasing risk, are therefore important aspects of the medical physicist’s roles and responsibilities. This course will provide up-to-date and clinically relevant education regarding:

  • safe uses of constantly evolving imaging technologies,
  • best methods to test image quality and dose performance, and
  • changes in technology and how they affect regulatory / accreditation requirements.

وسيتم بمشيئة الله البدء في قبول الطلبات لهذا الاختبار إلكترونياً من خلال التسجيل في الموقع اعتباراً من يوم السبت 26/03/1433هـ الموافق 18/02/2012م وحتى نهاية دوام يوم الأربعاء 12/05/1433هـ الموافق 04/04/2012م

Mandatory documents for application (without which application will not be processed)
 
  • Copy of identification (Passport for international applicants / National ID for Saudi nationals / Iqama for residents of Saudi Arabia).
  • Complete official transcripts for BS degree (and MS degree if applying to PhD).
  • Statement-of-Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals at KFUPM).
  • Recommendation Letters from academic referees through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.
  • Certificates for BS degree (and MS degree if applying to PhD) if degrees granted.
  • GMAT score (for international MBA applicants).
 
Other supporting documents (needed for final decision)
 
  • TOEFL score (min. is 68 IBT for MS and 79 IBT for PhD) or IELTS score (min. is 6 for MS and 6.5 for PhD).
  • Acceptable GRE General score (min. Quant. is 720, min. Analytical is 4.0).
  • Upon approval, original/certified copies of degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) are to be sent through postal mail.

المؤتمر يقام بتنظيم من الجمعية السعودية للفيزياء الطبية، و سيكون في قاعة نيارة بمدينة الرياض في الفترة من ٤ إلى ٦ ديسمبر ٢٠١١م الموافق ٩ – ١١ محرم ١٤٣٣هـ بحضور نخبة من الفيزيائيين الطبيين العالميين و المحليين.

و محاضرات المؤتمر معتمدة بـ ٣٠ ساعة أكاديمية من الهيئة السعودية للتخصصات الصحية.

مع العلم بأن الطلبة يستحقون تخفيض ٥٠٪ على رسوم المؤتمر.

سيخصص اليوم الأول لإلقاء نظرة عامة عن تخصص الفيزياء الطبية و دور و مهام الفيزيائي الطبي و أهميته في المستشفيات، بالإضافة إلى تأهيل و تدريب الفيزيائي الطبي.

كما ستقام حلقة نقاش باللغة العربية في نهاية اليوم الأول من المؤتمر عن الاختلافات في التصنيف و المسمى لتخصصات الفيزياء الطبية.

في اليوم الثاني و الثالث سيكون هناك مسارين متزامنين من المحاضرات في تخصصات فيزياء العلاج الإشعاعي و فيزياء التصوير التشخيصي و فيزياء الطب النووي و الحماية من الإشعاع
