is a Guitar Amp Plugin inspired by classic guitar combo amps, available as VST and Audio Units for Mac and Windows both 32 bit and 64 bit. It offers
gorgeous looks and lots of tonality for serious guitarists who demand a
guitar amp plugin with versatility. The engine of this guitar amp
plugin is carefully tuned to match the tone of authentic classic amps which truly sing to your playing style.

Amplifikation Vermilion packs everything that every guitarists difficult not to love: jangling cleans, raw tube saturation, springy reverb and that trippy tremolo circuit. The chimey and warm character with a bit of grit from the Clean Channel is great for country, soul, funk, blues, or most older “roots” music style, it even pulls some weight for your indie-pop tracks. The Lead Channel are able to deliver rich and fluid overdrive
leads for more modern style of rock, even heavier stuff to some
degrees. Add intensity to your playing using the built-in tremolo unit
which gives you pulsating sound that range from subtle & slow to
head-spinning fast and add dimension to the whole sound with rich &
lush analog-modeled spring reverb.

Kuassa releases basiQ - Free 3 band Baxandall equalizer available as Windows VST, Mac VST and Audio Units plug-ins. basiQ is an acronym for Baxandall Simulation Equalizer, the algorithm is modeled after classic baxandall which well known for its smooth shelves and natural sounding responses, similar to the tone control on a hi-fi system. It's well suited for mixing and mastering purposes although the neutral characteristic of basiQ is more suitable as a sweetening device rather than surgical purposes. The simple controls allow you to shape the frequency from many source to your needs, from opening up a guitar lead, adding a gentle shimmer on vocals, giving extra "oomph" on your synth basslines or even getting more presence to your master. Best paired on master output with Kratos Maximizer also by Kuassa, Inc..

Features:

Free

Simple tone control (High, Mid, Low) knobs

12 preset slots on a single bank

Mono / stereo applicable

Supports up to 96000 Hz sample rate

Compact and straightforward user interface

It's currently available as VST for Windows, the Mac VST and Audio Units formats will be available in a few days. Here's a short description about the product taken from Kuassa website:

Kuassa Amplifikation One is a guitar amplifier in the form of software. This “guitar amp on your PC” captures the dynamics and characteristics of hardware distortion modules, head amplifiers, and cabinets, captured by various types of microphones in multiple configurations. Kuassa Amplifikation One is not an emulation or modeled after specific amplifier, we try to capture the best aspect of schematic designs, tubes, electronics and computer programming to achieve the supreme tone for your guitar through your personal computer while maintaining the user interface as easy as possible. Stop messing around with your gears, get productive!

Users are able to control every aspects of the software just like real amplifiers including (but not limited to) gain structure, tone, mic position, and distance.

<img style="display: block; The plugin is based on my older maximizer the Aradaz Maximizer, I just simplified the limiter algorithm, add the look ahead adjustment parameter and replace the character parameter to release.

Honestly, the older Aradaz Maximizer is more transparent than this, but the look ahead feature is very useful especially for bass range music (just set the look ahead to large sample e.g >100 samples and then release at 0 s).

These are the features:

Maximize, up to 20 dB
Look ahead, up to 1024 samples

Release, from 0 to 1 second

Ceiling, down to -20 dB

Download it from the right side bar of this blog, and donation is very welcome because I'm going to be married on January 2010 he..he.. :)

Thanks guys, enjoy the plugin!
<!--

I think there's not much different in sound quality, but it still good as always :D. After a few hours of development, so here it is:

Better gain control, the gain knob is now more responsive to distort than the previous one.

DC removed, the forgotten one he..he.. sorry.

Better cabinet simulator engine, it makes some reducement to the CPU consumption, it's a good thing.

All samplerates are 2x oversampled, even the 88200Hz & 96000Hz samplerates are oversampled (not like the previous version), the CPU consumption is still lower.

About box added, now you can see who the Aradaz Amp Crunch coder and graphical user interface maker. But, could you find where to trigger the about box?

Thank you,
Please inform me if you found bug(s).
"More bugs I had, more skills I got."
-Aradaz-
<!--

I was using a 5 second sine sweep at 0 dB, Tracktion as the recorder. My speaker was off.

The first trial ran smoothly. I made the IR. Turn on my ESI nEar 04 speaker, and then I tested the IR using a VST convolution plugin. Hmm sounded no good. I had to try to make another one.

The second trial. I used the same sine sweep at 0 dB. Looked around to make sure that all set, press record and played...

then,

ESI nEar 04: "BLOPBLOPBLOPBLOBOBBOB"
Me : "aaarrrgghhh"

a very loud sound came from my speaker, I forgot to turn the speaker off. You know, 0 dB 20 Hz to 20000 Hz sine sweep. My Speaker couldn't handle that. After I pressed stop. A huge ground sound / humming came from the speaker. I blew the power speaker off. A few days later, I sent it to a service center.

I just brought it back yesterday. I kept the speaker there for three months because I had to work out of town.

That's all, I'm not a good story teller.

Welcome back me...
<!--

After I decided to restart my PC because something strange happened that I can't burn a cd, a blue screen appeared. I tried to restart the PC for the second time, the same blue screen appeared. I tried it again, it's even worst there was no signal to my monitor, I didn't see anything from it.

My friend told me to open the case and cleaned every part of the CPU, still no better. Tried to clear the CMOS, not good at all.

I'm so lucky even my HDD is damage, the second and the third partition of my HDD are saved. I got all my VST data back. I opened them using my brother's PC and used my HDD as a slave drive.

Thanks to everybody who has sent me e-mail, wrote comments and advices "here" and also a forum thread "here".

I will follow your suggestion to have a daily and a monthly backups for all my work and continue my VST project after I have a new PC, soon!

Regards,

-Arie-
<!--

I was doing a paper (not related to this) for my graduation that day and making VST was my new hobby. I named it Aradaz Amp Crunch because it's a crunch sounding amp.

Features:

GUI made by Manwelo Sitoy

Tube Simulated

Tone Stack Simulated

2 Cabinet Simulations

2 x Oversampling (<= 48 kHz)

Sample Rate up to 96 kHz

64 bit Internal Processing

Aradaz Amp 2 White

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yJuLhwWa9H0/SMfLc2yAbWI/AAAAAAAAANc/RTQ25xJpQZc/s400/AradazAmp2_White_v1.2.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244383987698265442" />
This is the first version of Aradaz Amp 2 series. Another virtual guitar amplifier VST plugin with more distorted sound with high gain setting. It’s valve-like, open and gleaming warm treble.

Features:

2 Channels Overdrive and Distortion

Tube Simulated

Tone Stack Simulated

Cabinet Simulator

Sample Rate up to 96 kHz

64 bit Internal Processing

Aradaz Amp 2 Green

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yJuLhwWa9H0/SMfMvk_fmQI/AAAAAAAAANk/L-nBswqifKg/s400/AradazAmp2_Green_v1.3.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244385408852138242" />
One more virtual guitar amplifier by Aradaz. My main concern was the tube and the cabinet simulation that take too much CPU consumption. There is no difference in sound quality with the previous version.
