To this day, about 93% of consumers aged 12 years and older listen to the radio each week. Regardless of one]]>&#65533;<![CDATA[s age, the time of day, or the listening location, Americans depend on radio as a reliable media companion.</p>

<p><em>Radio Today 2012</em> is an in-depth snapshot of radio listening nationwide and the 23 most popular radio formats. Radio Today combines Scarborough consumer profiles with Arbitron audience data to develop a comprehensive profile of radio listening across America, based on the Fall 2011 Diary and October-November-December 2011 PPM&reg; survey periods.</p>

     <title>Public Radio Today 2012</title>
     <description><![CDATA[<p>Some of the highest-rated radio programs, for example "Morning Edition," "All Things Considered," "Car Talk," "Prairie Home Companion," and "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!" can be heard on public radio. </p>

<p>Arbitron Public Radio Today profiles the 32 million people who listen to public radio each week. Arbitron examines more than a thousand rated radio stations that offer public radio programming and breaks out the findings demographically, geographically, by time period, and by programming format. The study provides a glimpse into the consumer behaviors of these listeners as well.</p>

<p>Public Radio Today uses format definitions from National Public Radio (NPR), the Radio Research Consortium (RRC), Public Radio International (PRI), and American Public Media.</p>
