More From Noel Gallagher

Recent reports suggested Noel Gallagher felt 'awkward' about the Arctic Monkeys but now he's once again hailed them as the saviours of youth culture.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Noel said:

"They’re an amazing band and they’re northerners, like us. I look at these and I know they’re not going to piss it away, because they’re solid, they love each other, those four. And us northerners don’t fuck it up. I stood out in the front in Brixton with all the sweaty people and there’s only two bands I’ve done that for.

"I saw The Libertines at The Forum and they had something for a while, but they fucked it up.

"But watching that, they’re the only two things that I’ve seen since Oasis that had what we had and The Libertines lost it."

And to those reports making him sound like an old man, he responded:

"They have proved to me that youth culture is alive.

"If that’s the music that the kids are making then I’m happy for the kids. And I’m even happier because I didn’t feel old at their gig."

'Arctic Monkeys Make Me Feel Awkward' - Noel Gallagher

Oasis genius Noel Gallagher has confessed that the young age of Arctic Monkeys puts him off a little.

Speaking about the band's frontman Alex Turner, he said:
“I like him, I do, and he is definitely a bit of a genius lyricist, but he is still a kid.

“He was eight when ‘Definitely Maybe’ came out. What the fuck am I, a 38-year-old supposed to say to that? They make me feel awkward.”

Speaking about his own band (Oasis) Gallagher mentioned that his band were no longer as big as they once were:
“What bothers me right now is that we are not the biggest band in the world any more.

“U2, The Stones even Coldplay are bigger than us.”

After doing research, we would like to remind everybody that Noel Gallagher is 38-years old, not Liam Gallagher. This statement was made by Noel Gallagher.

Normally we wouldn't post about this kind of thing, but April has been a phenomenal month for us here.
During April, we served over 100,000 unique visitors in excess of 3 terabytes of bandwidth (thats 3000 gigabyes) of media.
According to The People, Alex Turner was turned away from a bar in the Arctic Monkey's hometown of Sheffield.

After being asked for ID at The Cavendish Bar and not having any, Turner was forced to try elsewhere.

An onlooker said:
"Alex is one of the most famous people in pop but he and drummer Matt Helders had to queue," an onlooker told The People. "When they got to the front, the bouncer grabbed Alex and said, 'How old are you, mate?' He told them he was 20 but the bouncer said, 'I don't believe you - you got any ID?'

"Alex said, 'I don't need ID. I'm Alex Turner. I'm the lead singer of the Arctic Monkeys.' The bouncer said, 'I don't give a toss, you don't look 18 and you need ID.' Alex eventually moved on but he wasn't happy."

Ritz to Rubble, anyone?
