Easily Accessible

We ensure we offer our customers plenty of time each day for them to access their storage units. Our office is open 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday and 8.30-4.30 on Saturdays. However our customers have access to their storage units for extended periods – Monday to Friday they’re available from 8am to 8pm and on Sunday 10am till 2pm. This allows our customers to access their storage spaces at a convenient time for them.

So Why Has It Been Introduced?

Good Question! Whether it’s a tax on pasties or self-storage there needs to be a valid reason behind it, so what does the Government have to say about it? Well they believe by bringing in the VAT they are bringing equality throughout the self-storage industry, this may well be a factor. Another factor is basically that it’s another tax to collect and another way to aid the reduction of the deficit.

Since early this year the industry, Arden Self Storage included, have been working hard to try and change the Governments minds and avoid disadvantaging our loyal customers, as well as any prospective customers. Although the VAT on pasties has managed to slip through the Government’s net, the self-storage VAT unfortunately did not.

What Are We Going to Do About It?

Unfortunately we will have to start charging VAT from the 1st October in accordance with the Government legislation. However we would like to say we work hard to provide the best possible price for every single customer and up until now have never charged VAT to our domestic clients. And we’re proud to say that here at Arden Self Storage; our prices have not risen since 2007.
