Doctors treat the symptoms, Not the root cause

The symptom is not the cause of the disease. There is another cause, and this deeper cause is routinely ignored by conventional medicine, doctors, drug companies, and even most patients. The industry remains focused on screening for disease and then managing disease.

Examples of symptoms of poor dietary choices diagnosed as diseases:

High cholesterol

Cause: Consuming foods that are high in saturated fats and hydrogenated oils

Effect: Raised bad cholesterol levels.

Type 2 diabetes

Cause: Consuming refined carbohydrates and added sugars in large quantities without regular physical exercise. More reading .. Diabetes Overview And Managed

Effect: The natural, physiological, and metabolic result – diabetes.

A recent study conducted at UCLA and published in a peer-reviewed medical journal revealed that type 2 diabetes can be cured in three weeks through simple dietary changes.

The cure rate was 50 percent. No drugs, no surgery, no medical bills, just simple changes in food choice.

Another disease named after its symptoms is cancer. Most doctors and many patients still believe that cancer is physical: a tumor. A tumor is only a side effect of cancer, not its cause. A tumor is simply a physical manifestation of a cancer pattern that is expressed by the body. When a person “has cancer,” what they really have is a sluggish immune system that’s failing to limit the growth of the cancerous cells in all human bodies.

The World Health Organization says that 70 percent of all cancers are preventable.

Outside of conventional medicine, lots of cures exist today

To achieve a greater state of health and be free of chronic disease, seek out those individuals who are free of disease and who have overcome health challenges. Learn from those people who have found a way to live a life free of prescription drugs, free of chronic pain, free of degenerative disease, and who demonstrate the highest levels of human health.

The human body is a self-repairing mechanism that can virtually eliminate or reverse degenerative disease in this world.

Simple ways to treat and cures virtually all chronic diseases:

Make different food choices

Get more natural sunlight

Drink more water

E ngage in regular physical exercise

Supplement the diet with selected nutritional supplements

Avoid toxins in food, personal care products, and prescriptions drugs.

Using natural medicine, people have:

Cured themselves of diabetes.

Reversed osteoporosis.

Overcome depression.

Halted the growth of cancer tumors.

Taken their kids off Ritalin.

Restored normal healthy sleep patterns.

Improved their sex lives.

Boosted energy.

Enhanced cognitive function.

Safely and permanently eliminated dependence on prescription drugs.

Experienced stunning improvements in health and personal finances.

Examples of medicine in nature:

Grape seeds and skin – contain the most powerful heart medicine in the world, and it produces no negative side effects.

Garlic and broccoli – contain medicines that halt the growth of cancer tumors.

Celery – contains medicines (called “phytonutrients”) that block breast cancer.

Blueberries – contain powerful cholesterol medicines that lower LDL
cholesterol more effectively than drugs, without the risk of side effects.

The human body will heal itself

The human body freely generates the best anti-cancer medicine in the worldvitamin D, a nutrient that’s been proven to slash breast cancer risk by 50 percent, but only by getting some exposure to natural sunlight or consume vitamin D through fish oils and nutritional supplements.

The human body also manufactures its own HDL cholesterol, serotonin, sex hormones, immune system chemicals, and DNA, which has its own errorchecking, self-repairing machinery built right in.

The Basic Principles for Natural Health

Virtually every “disease,” whether it’s Alzheimer’s, diabetes or cancer, results from one or more of the following three principle/cause correlations:

Principle 1: A deficiency in something the body needs.

Supplement with high-density whole food-based supplements and superfoods

Get sensible exposure to natural sunlight on a regular basis, which is crucial for the production of vitamin D (a powerful anti-cancer nutrient, and more)

Drink water regularly, even before feeling thirsty.

Get quality sleep.

Principle 2: Excesses the body doesn’t need.

Eliminate all processed/manufactured foods. These foods contain toxic synthetic chemicals, and many aren’t listed on the ingredients labels.

Eliminate all conventional home care and personal care products: Shampoo, deodorant, soap, cleaners, detergents, dryer sheets, air fresheners, hair spray, hair dye, cosmetics, etc.

Replace them all with “green home” and “green personal care” products.

Stop eating out of plastic, styrofoam, Teflon and aluminum foil. Eat out of Pyrex or glass containers. For cooking, use iron or stainless steel.

Never drink tap water. Invest in a good water filter, including one for the shower.

Use a high-quality home air filter or purifier.

Eliminate prescription drugs for good. Don’t quit them cold turkey; work with a qualified physician to wean off the drugs as health improves.

Remember: All prescription drugs interfere with normal human metabolism. All drugs have side effects.

Stop buying and using toxic lawn and garden chemicals. Most conventional lawn and garden products are made with cancer-causing (and liver-damaging) chemicals.

Important: Engage in regular detoxification/cleansing habits. Cleanse the colon and the liver on a regular basis. If either organ doesn’t work well optimum health can not be achieved.

Check out Natural Cellular Defense as a powerful detoxification solution that can eliminate heavy metals, synthetic chemicals and other toxins from the body.

Principle 3: A lack of flow in the body.

Engage in regular physical exercise. Walking, swimming, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, mini-trampoline… anything to get the blood moving.

Avoid dairy products, as they promote stagnation.

Shift to a plant-based diet, and eat more live foods (fresh, raw vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds) every day.

Boost energy efficiency and flow with Tai Chi, Qi-Gong and acupuncture.

For those with a desk job, get up every 30 minutes and move around.
Engage in acts of expression: Artistic expression, dance, music, martial arts, sports, games or anything satisfying. Creativity is related to health.

Engage in social interaction: It moves Qi and boosts health. Pets boost health and immune system function, too.

Stimulate the brain. Playing Bingo is better than watching TV. Read, socialize, do crossword puzzles or play computer games. Anything that keeps the brain working boosts the flow of the nervous system. More reading .. Staying Active Mentally and Physically

Reduce chronic stress. Stress stops flow because it creates muscle tension. More reading .. Overcoming Depression and Finding Happiness

Simply correct these underlying imbalances, and there will be no need to treat any symptom, disease or health conditions, because those symptoms will disappear and the body will heal itself.

Examples of correcting imbalances:

When a chronically dehydrated person starts drinking plenty of water, asthma often disappears.

When a person suffering from heart disease stops consuming hydrogenated oils, fried foods and processed foods, and replaces it with superfoods and high-density nutrition, the heart disease vanishes.

When a person at high risk for breast cancer eliminates cancer-causing chemicals from the diet and home environment, and adds garlic, broccoli, green tea, trace minerals, vitamin D, fish oils and shifts to a plant-based diet, the “high risk” breast cancer never emerges.

It’s much cheaper to avoid paying for drugs, and that’s why health foods, superfoods, exercise, and nutritional supplements are a bargain when it comes to promoting health and preventing disease.

The liver

Without a properly-functioning liver, nothing else works right. And most people’s livers are seriously overburdened with a lifetime of toxic chemicals, clothing dyes, food additives, prescription drug residues and similar toxins. Detoxifying the liver is often the single most important step to transforming health (detoxifying the colon is the second step).

Before exploring what nutrients and herbs might be helpful, get a liver cleanse first. Liver cleanse products can also be found at many health food stores.

Work with a naturopathic physician for any liver cleanse. They will be able to provide guidance and specific recommendations. Visiting a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor is also highly recommended for liver issues. Chinese herbs are very good at improving liver function and reducing stagnation. Plus, a good TCM doctor will address the spleen, lungs, heart and other body systems at the same time.
By Mike Adams. Author of Natural Health Solutions & “The Conspiracy To Keep You From Knowing About Them”, grew up around medicine. His father did contract work for Pfizer, and his mother worked in nursing homes where he volunteered countless hours in his youth, ferrying fresh water to senior citizens. As a child, some of his closest adult friends were doctors, and today, he still has doctors as friends.

Mike Adams reveals:

Many doctors graduating from medical school today have only one hour of training in nutrition.

Mike Adams has conducted extensive private study and research on health, completing thousands of hours of study in nutrition, the causes of disease, the causes of health, the pharmaceutical industry, and other similar topics..

What can I do to build healthy bones and to prevent fractures? We think our skeleton will provide a solid framework for life but it needs tender loving care just like our skin, hair or heart. There are many steps you can take to help build healthy bones, which are all linked to leading a healthy lifestyle.

Get physical activity!

Your skeleton grows stronger if you do regular weight-bearing exercise. This is any kind of physical activity where you are supporting the weight of your own body, for example jogging, aerobics, tennis, dancing and brisk walking.

Weight lifting is another good type of bone-building exercise, where the action of the tendons pulling on the bones seems to boost strength.

If you have osteoporosis you may need to be careful of vigorous, high impact exercise but it’s important to stay active and find something you enjoy. Leading an active lifestyle will ensure you have good balance and co-ordination and will also help to develop muscle strength. The following exercises can help reduce your risk of falling and breaking a bone: swimming, gardening, walking, golf and Tai Chi.

Eat your way to healthy bones

The body contains 1kg of calcium, 99 percent of which is stored in our bones. While it is important to eat plenty of calcium to help build or maintain healthy bones, other vitamins and minerals are also important. If you enjoy a wide variety of food you will get a mix of all the vitamins and minerals you need.

The Food Standards Authority advises that in order to get a good balanced diet, you should choose a variety of food from the following main food categories:

bread, cereals and potatoes

fruit and vegetables

milk and dairy

meat fish and alternatives

foods containing fat; foods and drinks containing sugar.

It’s also a good idea to avoid:

Too much protein – particularly animal protein such as meat and cheese. Excessive amounts of protein may upset the acid balance within the body which then takes calcium from the bones to neutralise it. Lots of salt – high levels of sodium can increase the amount of calcium the body eliminates through urine.

Drinking lots of fizzy drinks – phosphate, in the form of phosphoric acid, is used to improve the flavour in a lot of fizzy drinks and too much can cause the body to use calcium to balance levels.

Drinking too much caffeine – again, a high consumption of caffeine could affect the balance of calcium in the body.

Letting your weight drop too low – being overweight is not good for general health but being underweight increases the risk of broken bones when you fall.

What about dietary supplements?

If we eat a healthy, varied diet then we should be able to get all the vitamins and minerals we need from food. This is certainly a lot tastier than pills!

However, as we get older, we absorb nutrients less efficiently. Many older people also have smaller appetites so may benefit from supplements if they are getting insufficient nourishment from food.

The importance of vitamin D

Vitamin D is vital to help the body absorb calcium. The main source is the sun through our skin which the body converts into vitamin D and stores in our fat. Most of us will get enough sun to help our bones if we get out and about in the summer without even thinking about it.

However, older people, those who do not go out much and people who cover up for religious or cultural reasons may become deficient and 400 iu (international units), or 10mg, a day is recommended.

Studies have also shown that vitamin D and calcium supplements can help to cut the risk of broken hips in frail, older people so supplements may be prescribed.

Read more Tiens Nutrient High Calcium Powder.

Quit smoking

Smoking has a toxic effect on bone by stopping the construction cells from doing their work. It’s another good reason to try to give up.

Reduce your alcohol intake

Enjoying the odd glass of wine could actually help your bones. But drinking too much alcohol is damaging to our skeleton and increases your risk of fracture. Bear in mind that drinking alcohol can also make you unsteady and increase your risk of falling, and therefore breaking a bone.

The current daily recommended limit, as recommended by the Food Standards Agency, is 2 to 3 units for women and 3 to 4 units for men.

Fall prevention

As you get older – get help if you are at risk of falling or falling frequently. A referral to a physiotherapist may be helpful to advise about exercises to help with balance and co-ordination. In some areas there will be a ‘fall prevention service’ provided at your local hospital.

Many older people fall in the home, so it is important to try and reduce the hazards that could cause you to trip and fall. For instance:

Take your time using stairs and hold onto the rail

Loose rugs or carpets, trailing wires, slippery floor surfaces and poor heating and lighting can increase your risk of falling

Other health problems such as Parkinson’s disease, arthritis or stroke are common causes of falls and some medications can increase your risk of falling by affecting your balance It is a good idea to have your eyesight and hearing checked because poor eyesight can increase the risk of falling and some forms of deafness can also affect your balance.

Ask your doctor to review all the medications your take. Taking lots of different medications can sometimes heighten side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness. If your tablets are causing these problems let your GP know.

If you are concerned about falling and particularly if you tend to fall, you could talk to your local GP and ask for a referral to your local falls clinic. Help the Aged also offers useful information on preventing falls.

Hip protectors

For older people who may be at risk of falling, hip protector pants are available which can help to cushion the force of a fall. These underwear garments have two protective hard shells built into cotton pants covering your hips to absorb the impact of the fall. However, research studies have not conclusively proved that they prevent broken bones.

In Malaysia, erectile dysfunction affects the lives of approximately 2.2 million men, of which 52% are between the ages of 40 – 70 years old. About 5% of 40 – year – old men and between 15% and 25% of 65 – year – old men experience some form of ED (1998 study by a well-known expert in Andrology and Reproductive Medicine, Dr Ismail Tambi)

90% men in Malaysia affected by ED do not consult doctor (Urology expert, Professor Datuk Tan Hui Ming)

Approximately 150 million men affected by ED in the world and approximately 50% men aged 50 and above affected by ED in the world. Less than 15% from these numbers consulted a doctor. ( Urology expert from Calgary University, Alberta, Vancouver, Canada, Dr Jay C.Lee)

Definition

Erectile dysfunction (ED) may be defined as the consistent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to permit satisfactory sexual intercourse. The word “consistent” is included in the definition because most men experience transient episodes of ED that are temporary and usually associated with fatigue, anger, depression or other stressful emotions. The use of the formerly used term “impotence” has been virtually abandoned because of its inherent stigma of weakness and lack of power.

Erectile dysfunction can occur as part of several mental disorders recognized by the mental health professional’s manual, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, often shortened to the DSM. ED is the main symptom in the disorder the manual calls “male erectile disorder.” ED can also be a symptom of other disorders, such as sexual dysfunction due to a general medical condition or substance-induced sexual dysfunction. In this entry, however, ED is examined and discussed as its own medical entity, and not within the strict guidelines of the DSM.

Description

First, it may be useful to understand the mechanisms of normal penile erection. Penile erection occurs essentially when the penis becomes engorged with blood. The anatomical compartments (two corpora cavernosa and one corpus spongiosum) are capable of being distended with seven times their normal amount of blood. When this occurs in association with relaxation of the penile muscles, erection results.

The sequence of events resulting in penile erection is complex. It is usually initiated by sexual arousal stimuli arising in the brainas a result of visual, auditory or olfactory sensations or erotic thoughts. Tactile (touch) sensations of the penis acting through the spinal cord play a similar role. Sexual arousal results in the release of a chemical (nitric oxide) from specialized cells. Nitric oxide causes the formation of a substance (cyclic glutamine monophosphate or cGMP) that is responsible for dilating the blood vessels of the penis and relaxing its muscles, thus allowing for an increase in blood flow and resultant penile erection. Compression of the dilated blood vessels against the firm outer lining of the penis prevents the blood from escaping and perpetuates the erection. A specialized substance (phosphodiesterase 5 or PDE-5), causes the breakdown of cGMP and, with the help of nerves from the sympathetic nervous system, allows the penis to return to its flaccid relaxed state.

Any defect in this complex cascade of events can result in erectile dysfunction.

Different men experience varying patterns of ED. Men with ED may report the inability to experience any erection from the beginning of a sexual experience, while others experience an erection that is not maintained at penetration. Other men may lose the erection during sexual intercourse, and others can only experience erection upon awakening or during self-masturbation.

Impact of ED

It is well-recognized that adults of all ages view sex as an important quality-of-life issue, and that the imposition of ED usually results in a reduced quality of life. In spite of this and for a number of reasons— most of them unfounded— the victims often suffer in silence. Included among the reasons for their silence are the following conceptions:

ignorance of the availability of safe and effective therapy for ED

inadequate information provided by the physician concerning timing of medication, need for preliminary sexual arousal, etc.

undue concern about the irreversibility of marital discord and lack of partner support
concerns about administration of invasive therapies, adverse effects of therapy, discomfort, inconvenience and cost of therapy

high rates of discontinuation of therapy due to inadequacy of therapeutic response and associated adverse effects.

Causes

A precise determination of the cause of any individual case of ED is often difficult and may be impossible because ED is often due to multiple factors. This is a consequence of the complicated nature of the human sexual response and the complex physiology of penile erection and relaxation. Normal erectile function requires the coordination of vascular, neurologic, hormonal and psychological factors and any condition that interferes with one or more of these processes may result in ED.

Attitudes concerning age and psychological factors, commonly associated with ED in the past, have changed in the last two decades. Although the prevalence of ED increases with advancing age, ED is no longer regarded as an inevitable consequence of aging. Whereas most cases of ED were once considered primarily psychological and/or psychiatric in origin, it is now well-recognized that organic, non-psychological causes of ED play a much more significant role in the development of ED. Most researchers agree that pure psychological (emotional) mechanisms are causative in 15% to 20% of cases with organic causes responsible for at least 80% of ED cases. In a number of cases, the situation is “mixed,” with significant secondary psychological and social components such as guilt, depression, anxiety, tension or marital discord being present in addition to one or more underlying organic components.

Causes of ED may be grouped into those factors that arise within the individual (endogenous) and those factors arising from sources outside the body (exogenous). Endogenous factors include endocrine imbalances, cardiovascular and other medical conditions, and emotional causes. Included among exogenous factors are medications, surgery, trauma and irradiation, smoking, and alcohol and substance abuse. Many of these causes are discussed in more detail in the following list of causes:

Diabetes mellitus. This is the single most common cause of ED by virtue of its combined nerve and blood vessel damage. At least 40% of male diabetics have ED.

Circulation abnormalities. Vascular (circulation-related) causes include diseases of the aorta or the arteries supplying the pelvis and penis. Hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis) is the most common vascular cause, but damage to the arteries may result from trauma, surgery, or irradiation. Surgery involving the prostate gland may involve both the arteries and nerves in that region.

Neurological causes, including diseases of the brain (such as Alzheimer’s disease) and spinal cord (multiple sclerosis, for example).

Hormonal or endocrine causes. These are uncommon causes for ED, however. ED may occur in males with deficient testicular function and low circulating levels of the male sex hormone, testosterone. These cases are referred to as hypogonadism and may be due to congenital abnormalities or testicular disease such as that accompanying mumps.

Penile diseases: Organic causes of ED may be related to diseases of the penis. Many factors influence penile circulation. For instance, Peyronie’s disease, a condition characterized by fibrous tissue and a downward bowing of the penis, limits the expandability of the penile tissues, thus preventing venous compression and allowing blood to leave the penis. Similarly, arteriosclerotic plaque, injury to blood vessels’ inner lining due to trauma, surgery, or irradiation, or even aortic occlusion (blockage in a main artery leading out of the heart) can be the cause of compromised penile blood flow and prevent penile erection.

Medications: A number of classes of medications can cause ED. Not all agents within each drug class produce the same effects. For example, some antidepressants are associated with ED, whereas an antidepressant called trazodonehydrochloride (Desyrel) has been used in institutional studies for the treatment of ED because of its tendency to produce priapism. Some medication classes that can cause ED include (but are not limited to): medications that reduce high blood pressure, medications taken for central nervous system diseases like Parkinson’s disease (methyldopa), antidepressants, sedatives or tranquilizers like barbiturates, anti-anxiety medications like diazepam(Valium), common, non-prescribed drugs such as tobacco and alcohol, and drugs of abuse including heroin. Read more … Adverse Drug Reactions

Psychological factors that can precipitate ED include stress, fatigue, depression, guilt, low self-esteem and negative feelings for or by a sexual partner. Depressive symptoms and/or difficulty coping with anger may be particularly influential, and ED may be related to a “submissive personality.”

Lifestyle: Obesity, physical inactivity, cigarette smoking, and excessive intake of alcohol are risk factors for the development of ED. These suggest that changes in lifestyle may constitute an important aspect of both the therapy and prevention of ED.

The identification of risk factors for ED has an important impact not only on the treatment, but on the prevention of ED as well. For example, if a doctor is treating a patient for high blood pressure who is also at risk for ED, the doctor may make an informed decision to prescribe an effective medication that is not associated with ED instead of one that is.

ED AS A MARKER FOR OTHER DISEASES

The frequent association between ED and a number of important vascular conditions such as hypertension and coronary artery heart disease has raised the possibility that ED may serve as an important marker for the detection of these vascular disorders. Additionally, an increased incidence of depression has been noted in men with ED that is believed to be distinct from the reactive type of depression that might occur because of ED. This has led to the recognition of a possible syndrome linking depression and ED. Thus, the presence of depression should be investigated in men presenting with ED.

Symptoms

The main symptom is the inability to attain or maintain adequate erection to complete sexual activity.

As a result of this symptom, affected men may also experience depression and distress, and this symptom can cause interpersonal (including marital) issues.

Demographics

Studies indicate that in the United States at least 30 million American men suffer from some degree of erectile dysfunction (ED). Of these, 10 to 20 million have a severe degree of ED resulting in the complete inability to attain or maintain a penile erection. The number of ED victims in the U.S. is projected to increase by nearly 10 million by the year 2025. With the advancement of men’s median age in western industrial countries and the general population growth in developing nations, the worldwide incidence is projected to increase to greater than 320 million by 2025. ED accounts for more than 500,000 annual visits to health care professionals.

As with other chronic disorders and the conditions that are commonly associated with ED (diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease), the prevalence of ED increases with advancing age, with an estimated prevalence of 39% in men aged 40 and 67% in those aged 70. These figures may actually underestimate the true dimensions of the problem since ED is notoriously under-reported, undiagnosed and under-treated because of the perceived stigma associated with the diagnosisof ED. It is reported that 70% of ED remains undiagnosed and in a survey of general medical practice less than 12% of men with ED reported having received treatment for it.

Interview

An essential first step in the diagnosis of ED is the taking of a thorough sexual, medical, and psychosocial (both psychological and social) history. The sexual history should include information such as the frequency of sexual intercourse, its duration, the quality and degree of penile erection, the presence or absence of nocturnal erections, and the success or failure of penetration. Any sexual dysfunction on the part of the partner, such as painful intercourse (dyspareunia) or vaginal dryness, should be ascertained. The use of one of several available self-directed patient questionnaires may be a useful adjunct to the sexual history. The sexual history helps in distinguishing ED from other abnormalities in sexual function such as ejaculatory and orgasmic disturbances and loss of sexual desire.

The general medical history may disclose one or more distinct causes of ED including the presence of associated conditions, the use of medications that can cause the disorder, and/or a history of substance abuse.

A psychosocial history, preferably with the participation of the patient’s sexual partner, should include current sexual practices, the presence or absence of stress and performance anxiety, and any special circumstances under which ED occurs.

Treatment

The first step in the treatment of ED includes the elimination or alteration of modifiable risk factors or causes, such as lifestyle or psychosocial factors including smoking, obesity, substance and alcohol abuse, and the alteration of prescription and over-the-counter medications if necessary.

Recommended treatment options for ED include the following medications:

Oral erectogenic medications

PDE-5 inhibitors. Sildenafil (Viagra) is an example. It works by blocking PDE-5 thereby allowing cGMP to have a longer effect, increasing penile blood flow and producing erection.

Yohimbine

Apomorphine

Alpha adrenergic blockers

Vacuum constriction device therapy, which involves a mechanical device to increase penile blood flow and erection may also be recommended. Psychosexual therapy is also recommended so that any psychological causes for ED can be detected and therapy can be instituted. Individual psycho therapy or couples therapy may be helpful. These various treatment methods can be used alone or in combination.

If those therapies are unsuccessful, the following treatment options may be recommended:

Intracavernous therapy (ICIT). This therapy involves injection of the penile structures with substances that promote blood flow and produce erection.

Intraurethral therapy. Medications are inserted into the urethra and act to increase blood flow and muscle relaxation, allowing for erection.

Penile prostheses. These are various devices inserted surgically into the penis to produce the erect state.

Surgery. In rare cases, surgery may be used to correct a defect that interferes with penile erection.

Regardless of the therapy chosen, follow-up at regular intervals and good communication between the patient and the doctor is essential. Patients need to keep their doctors informed about adverse reactions, and patients need to be informed about drug interactions. The doctor may adjust the dosage of medication, or may substitute or add a therapeutic agent into the treatment, as necessary.

The patient and his sexual partner can work with their treatment team so that they are both well-informed about various treatment options and can maximize treatment results.

Salmon Milt

A high quality compound of spermatozoon polypeptides in male salmon fish is essential to human (male) performance level. Professor Dr. Ferid Murad, 1998 Nobel Prize winner (medicine) discovered that Nitric Oxide (NO) is produced at the outer layer of the blood vessel. It enables blood vessels become flexible and elastic in order to minimize the pressure build-up. This indirectly will allow more blood flow to the penis and uplift it. L-Arginine content in salmon milt will improve the vitality of Nitric Oxide (NO) and enzyme in the penis structure, increase Nitric Oxide (NO) and cGMP quantity.

2. Palm Kernel Protein

Extract from pure natural Southeast Asia tropical rain forest by using high technological method. It has anti-fatigue effect, restores physical strength and increase lipid metabolism.

3. Albumen Peptide

The soybean based polypeptides can activate sympathetic nerve, promote fat and basic metabolism, increase overall energy supply, increase thermal supply and reduce body hypodermic fat to achieve overall body vitality. It also has anti-fatigue effect, enhance body movement ability, eliminate muscle fatigue and maintain a durable and endurance body movement to ensure a person physiological needs.

4. Chinese Wolfberry Extract

A traditional Chinese medicine use to balance the yin and yang, control internal secretion, anti-oxidation and anti-aging.

To perform these complex functions, the body requires energy that is derived from oxygen, water as well as nutrients obtained from food (in order of priority). This essential combination is carried through the blood vessels and enters the cells where it will be converted into energy. This process known as ATP enables the cells to carry out its cellular functions of cell renewal.

These cellular functions also know as metabolism. According to research, the metabolism rate peaks at around the age of 20, and gradually slows down with age. In addition to this, hormonal degeneration and accumulated DNA damage caused by free radicals are also major contributors towards the slowing down of the metabolic rate.

Our body also possesses an energy storage system. Our early ancestors had to hunt for food, in those times when food was scarce, such as during famines and other crisis, the body drew upon the energy contained in the storage system, termed as adipose cells (or known as FAT CELLS). Since we no longer hunt for food, the sense of physical exertion is considerably reduced. Inevitably, the less energy required by the body is not met by a reduction in food intake.

Furthermore our body is now faced with a dilemma that leaves it unable to cope with present changes in food consumption. Those days our body is used to consume carbohydrates with fibre, it allows body to slowly digest and metabolize the sugar for about 2 1/2 hours (if extracted). Now, instead refined food intake without fibre occurs at a comparatively quickened rate of 4 seconds via an enzymatic reaction caused by the enzyme ptyalin. Inevitably, this will result in the significant rise of high blood sugar levels.

Ironically, the body’s action of storing excess energy in the form of FAT CELLS now eventually lead down the path of disaster as research now points out the fact that obesity is now the biggest cause of pre-mature deaths. World Health Organisation (WHO), in a statement quoted those five ailments that cause death more that WWII each year are:

stroke,

heart attack,

diabetes,

lung cancer, and

HBP

Undeniably, these ailments are diseases that arise from the modern diet that are inevitably related to obesity.

However, with advanced research findings that point to affective solutions, after years of extensive research, the TIENS XLIM Pack programme has come about to address the problems faced by thousands upon thousands of obese people, to great effect. These people have benefited from a slimmer silhouette, so why not you?

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in our bodies. It is used for body metabolism, nerve transmission, regulation of heartbeat, muscle toning and controls nerve irritability. After the age of 20, a person starts to lose 1% of his skeletal calcium annually. By age 50, a human being will have lost some 30% of skeletal calcium. Symptoms of calcium deficiency are fatique, excessive sweating, poor concentration, poor appetite, constipation, diarrhoea, insomnia, leg cramps, etc. Supplementation of calcium back to our bodies is therefore crucial to avoid developing additional health problems.

The calcium used in Tiens’ products are derived from the spinal bone of the Mongolian cow. The latest bio-technology techniques have been applied to produce calcium that can be easily absorbed by our bodies with higher bioavailability. Instead of becoming insoluble in the body, calcium will exist in the form of amino acid and will easily pass through the villus membrane of the intestine without irritation.

This is unlike other normal calcium salts which will deposit on the intestinal wall.

The so-called five elements in traditional Chinese medicine, wood, fire, earth, metal and water, are the fundamental building blocks of the world. They correspond to spring, summer, middle (long summer), autumn and winter in nature and the liver, heart, spleen, lungs and kidneys in the human body. Accordingly, we should take the corresponding actions of cleansing in spring, replenishing in summer, strengthening in autumn and balancing in winter to achieve balance among the body, ecology and nature.
In today’s world, environmental pollution is severe, which inevitably results in harmful substances being contained in our food. When these harmful substances encroach on the body, the first organs affected are the spleen and stomach, which are responsible for digestion and assimilation. They are also the fundamental organs of postnatal development and the source of qi and blood. Furthermore, the extent of damage to the spleen and stomach determines the sufficiency of innate vitality (qi from the kidneys). Energy required by the body is sent all over the body after digestion and assimilation by the spleen and stomach and then adjusts qi and blood in the liver and lungs and supplements vitality in the kidneys, thus preventing the onset of disease. When one uses health care products, one should take into consideration the seasonal influences of climatic changes instead of using them indiscriminately.

Maintaining your health with Tiens Health Products

Cleansing in spring

The land is full of life in spring. Qi and blood circulate smoothly in the human body and all the internal organs and tissues recuperate easily. This is the time to promote the vital qi and clear out unnecessary substances taken in during the winter. In spring, people are susceptible to harmful qi from the wind. The five elements are dominated by wood. One tends to shed tears when facing the wind, which hurts the eyes and induces a sour taste in the mouth. One also tends to be irritable, which hurts the liver and gall bladder. Therefore, health supplements used in this season should clear out fire in the liver and gall bladder. The main goal is to conserve and adjust the liver and rid it of fire, with the complementary goal of increasing nutrition.

Suggested products for a spring cleansing are: Chitosan and Tianshi Beauty Capsules for clearing out toxins; Tianshi High Calcium Drink, Tianshi Vitality Softgel Capsules, Tianshi Beneficial Capsules, Tianshi Vigor-rousing Capsules, Weight Loss Tea, Tianshi Spirulina Tablets, Tianshi Trishomo Tanshinone Leisure Capsules, Tianshi Double-Cellulose Tablets and also for clearing excess fatty matter in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems as well as elsewhere in the body so as to reduce the burdens of the liver and gall bladder.

Replenishing in summer

In this hot season people are susceptible to the harmful qi from the heat. The five elements are dominated by fire. One tends to be depleted of saliva, perspire frequently, which affects the assimilating function of the small intestine and causes inflammation by fire rising from the heart, with a flushed face and sores in the mouth and tongue. Therefore, one should suppress fire in the heart and adjust the mind. In the heat of midsummer, the body perspires profusely and has a bad appetite, which tends to hurt the heart and spleen. This season is not suitable for taking in major supplements, but fit for adjusting vitality in the organs of the spleen and stomach so as to make qi and blood circulate smoothly. Replenishing the spleen and stomach with qi will result in a sense of vigour and spirit.

Suggested products for midsummer replenishing: The qi and blood circulating machine, the body-fitting girdle, and Tiens’ Acupoint Treasure for adjusting the circulation of qi and blood and relaxing muscles and joints; Zinc supplements and High-Absorption Calcium for adjusting the spleen and stomach to stimulate the appetite; small amounts of Spirulina and Seabuckthorn oil capsules for the adjustment of the spleen and stomach to increase energy.

Strengthening in autumn

The weather gradually cools down in this season, which is dominated by the dry qi. One tends to feel dry in the mouth and throat and cough with little phlegm, which hurts the lungs. Therefore, one should strengthen Yin-qi and moisten the lungs. If the body functions normally after the cleansing in spring and replenishing in summer, now is the time to supplement appropriate nutrients to fill the body with qi and blood, promote the growth of Yin and Yang and build a strong physique. As many nutrition-supplementing foods contain excessive sugars, fats, proteins, hormones, etc., one should make appropriate choices and use health care foods on the basis of a balanced diet.

Suggested products for “supplementing in autumn to moisten the dryness”: Aweto, Spirulina, High Absorption-Calcium concentrate and Zinc supplements for supplementing the vitamins, trace elements, minerals, enzymes, etc. that are deficient in food intakes as well as strengthening the lungs, liver and kidneys.

Balancing in winter

In such a cold season, one tends to be weakened by the cold, which hurts the kidneys. One also tends to be less active while taking in more food, resulting in an excess of fatty matter in the body, which, combined with the slow circulation of qi and blood, causes one to be susceptible to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Although the body functions normally now after the cleansing in spring, replenishing in the summer and strengthening in autumn, one should not drop one’s guard, for only by adopting an attitude of prevention toward disease can one keep one’s body safe from the invasion of the harmful qi from outside.
A coordinated combination of the “cleansing, replenishing and strengthening” products is suggested for “prevention in winter”: High Absorption-Calcium concentrate, aweto, Spirulina, Chitosan and Zinc supplements for adjusting immunity in both directions; Huo Li Kang (Anti-Oxidant Plus), Wei Kang (Youth & Health) and Yi Kang (Cardio System) for adjusting fats in blood; the qi and blood circulation machine and the acupuncture point set for increasing the circulation of qi and blood; measures to keep out the cold and strengthen the physique for a safe winter.

Based on an understanding of the relationship between the five elements and nature, disease potential can be analysed. The factors for the changes in one’s body are everywhere, such as changes in location, season, harmful qi, internal organs and tastes. By taking heed of them, one can foresee the future and nip disease in the bud. With prevention, one can strengthen the physique and live a long life. That is the unique feature of the traditional Chinese regimen.

In summary, “cleansing, replenishing, strengthening and balancing” constitute a physique-improving regimen. One clears excessive matter out of the body, adjusts the balance of the body & mind and supplements appropriate nutrients to achieve the objectives of preventive health care, physique improvement and longevity. That is the secret of Chinese health preservation.

With a history dating back several thousand years, the traditional Chinese health regimen incorporates elements of natural science, human studies, and social science. It distils the experiences of health preservation from generations of Chinese, and distinguishes itself among traditional regimens throughout the world with its unique theoretical foundation and rich clinical experiences. It has contributed greatly to the well-being and health care of the Chinese people.

Like any other organism, human beings are not above the natural laws of birth, growth, ageing and death. However, efforts can be made to promote growth, improve the physique, and delay the aging process so as to prevent premature death. The key is pro active prevention and timely treatment.
According to material by Huang Di Nei Jing written as early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, “A sage cures a disease before it occurs and deals with a disorder before it happens?” In other words, a healthy person should take measures to prevent disease, and if one gets ill, he/she should get treatment as soon as possible to thwart the development of the illness.
A person who is good at maintaining health often treats hidden damage that may lead to disease and gets rid of all risk factors lurking inside and outside the body.

Chinese medicine emphasizes the unity of man and nature as well as that of all the tissues of the body system. Based on the concepts of Yin, Yang, the five elements, and “man-universe harmony,” it views the human body as “being able to resist the harmful qi (pronounced chi).” Harmful qi is essentially any external element that causes disease, i.e. bacteria or environmental toxins. When the vital qi is inside the body (when the body’s systems are in balance and immunity is high)” and “inevitably weak where the harmful qi dominates (unable to fight off disease)”. Emphasis is put on the principles of disease prevention, which allows for a flexible approach in regards to a patient’s prevention program. Conclusions regarding the body’s internal condition are reached from observing and analysing the outward appearance of each individual. Thus, Chinese medicine is committed to exploring the secrets of life.

The role of Cleansing, Replenishing, Strengthening and Balancing in the traditional Chinese regimen

As the basis of longevity, health means the absence of harmful matter and factors inside the body. Nowadays, people can be divided into three categories: the healthy, accounting for 5% of all people, the sick, 15%, and the predominately sub-healthy, approximately 80%. The sub-healthy are in a dangerous state characterized by the constant presence of hidden damage, which has yet to cause significant inconveniences.

Such people need to CLEANSE the spleen, stomach and intestines, REPLENISH qi, the blood, Yin and Yang and STRENGTHEN nutrition that is deficient so as to reach the health care goal of BALANCING.
The human body is an organic whole, where an imbalance between Yin and Yang will lead to the malfunctioning of the internal organs. When one organ gets damaged, all the others are affected, which results in an imbalance in the human body. Therefore, unfavourable factors should be removed from the body beforehand by restoring balance and strengthening nutrition.

As stated above, “the body is able to resist the harmful qi when the vital qi is inside.” When the harmful qi enters the body, the vital qi actively combats it; the subsequent struggle disturbs the balance between Yin and Yang in the body or causes the internal organs to malfunction, which results in the operational disorder of qi and blood reflected by a series of pathological changes. If the vital qi prevails and the harmful qi recedes, the disease tends to improve and be cured. If the vital qi is weak and the harmful qi dominates, the disease tends to worsen and even leads to illness and death.

Maintaining good health and “man-universe harmony”

The above shows how important it is for people to preserve their health on a daily basis. Usually, when one does not have any diseases, he/she easily overlooks the pathological factors hidden in the body and considers himself/herself to be healthy. However, “a huge dam can be ultimately destroyed by seemingly insignificant ant holes.” The body is like that dam, which can only be saved from harm by ridding itself of latent risks beforehand.

However, people often only begin to act after they are diagnosed with a disease. As the saying goes, “A three-foot-thick layer of ice is not caused by one day of wintery rigor.” In order to have health that is as strong as ice, one must pay attention to health preservation at regular intervals. Thus one can easily fend off the onslaught of epidemics. How should a person conserve ones health? Everyone needs to understand that because man lives in nature and depends on the interactions of Yin, Yang and the five elements for his balance with nature, adjustments should be made according to differences in season, region and time zones which meet the individual conditions of the patient. Only in this way can “man-universe harmony” be realized.

They often find it abstract and hard to understand. It is, in fact, quite plain and accepted as a series of natural laws in China.

Now we’ll try to explain in an easy way by showing you some examples

The so-called five elements in traditional Chinese medicine: wood, fire, earth, metal and water.

The interactions among elements:

Fire evolved from wood, because wood can catch fire

Earth evolved from fire, as anything on fire becomes ashes afterwards

Metal evolved from earth, because metals are from the earth

Water evolved from metal, as all metals can melt into liquid

Wood evolved from water, because water is indispensable for plants

Wood prevails over earth, because trees grow out of the earth

Earth prevails over water, as earth stops the flood

Water prevails over fire, because it extinguishes fire

Fire prevails over metal, as heat melts metals

Metal prevails over wood, because wood can be cut or sawn by metals

The above, when understood, becomes the first step towards a better understanding of 5-element theory which at first sounds mythical and profound. In fact, with the development of this 5-element theory, it has been endowed with more meaning.

The following is an analogy drawn by Chinese scholars majoring in preserving health by comparing the nature of these elements:

Liver associates with wood

Heart associates with fire

Spleen associates with earth

Lung associates with metal

Kidney associates with water

Circulation of Assimilation: liver-heart-spleen-lung-kidney

Circulation of Depression: liver-spleen-kidney-heart-lung

These interactions have been tested and approved by human clinical experiments. For example, spleen turns food and water into nutrition and vigour to nourish the lung. A bad functioning lung will impair the function of the spleen.

Yin, Yang, and the five elements; the contradictory unity of nature

The human body is an integral whole. Nothing can exist without Yin and Yang. As the saying goes, “a single Yin does not grow; a lone Yang does not survive.” The world is actually integrated as a result of the contradictory unity of Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang represent the properties of matter that are both contradictory and related. Neither man nor nature is separable from the five elements – metal, wood, water, fire and earth.

The property of wood is Yang because it grows and connects. Water is a property of Yin because it flows downward. Fire is attributed to Yang because it goes upward. But Yin and Yang are intermingled. For example, the surface of water is Yang but its bottom is Yin.

This explains the integral concept of the contradictory unity of Yin, Yang and the five elements, which interact with man and nature to form a balance of gain and loss by promoting and restricting each other. In a state of balance, for instance, the body’s five internal organs (the liver, heart, spleen, lungs and kidneys) promote each other to make the body strong with a prolonged life. On the other hand, damage to any of the organs will affect all the rest.

Some 250,000 patients yearly are admitted to hospital in the UK with adverse reactions to drugs at a cost of £466 million, a report suggests. Serious reactions to medicines can include sudden death, respiratory failure and heart attacks. The British Medical Association report calls on health professionals to inform regulators every time an unwanted reaction to a drug is suspected. A study in 2004 found 6.5% of people admitted to hospital had experienced an adverse drug reaction, (ADR) and that in 80% of these cases the reaction was the cause of the admission.

It also found that 2% of patients admitted to hospital with an ADR died. The BMA wants to see reporting rates increase in a bid to protect patients’ health and save lives.
More than 13,000 others in the same period had an “adverse drug reaction”, but survived with hospital treatment. The statistics, obtained by the Liberal Democrats, include damage caused by “over the counter” drugs such as aspirin and ibuprofen. Experts said that medicines could not be blamed for all the reported cases.

Almost 3,000 people have died in the past three years after suffering serious side-effects or allergies to their medicines, say official figures.

This is a dangerously escalating problem, which is putting lives at risk and placing a big cost burden on the NHS

Norman Lamb MP, Liberal Democrats

The figures are drawn from “yellow card” scheme, run by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) to gather reports of all adverse reactions from both clinicians and patients. Last year, there were reports of 964 patients in the UK who died as a result of an adverse reaction, compared with more than 1,000 the previous year, and 861 in 2004. However, there is evidence that the vast majority of adverse drug reactions are never reported to the MHRA. Bigger problem A study published last year suggested that 6.5% of all patients admitted to hospital had experienced a reaction, and that in four out of five cases, the medicines they were taking were to blame. This adds up to as much as 250,000 cases a year – and an annual cost of £466 million to the NHS. The MHRA has urged patients to join doctors in reporting drug reactions to them. While in some cases a deadly side-effect or allergy could not have been predicted, Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson has conceded that some cases should have been avoided.
It will be the first time that the public has been able to report their own experiences of adverse drug reactions. Until now, it has been down to health professionals to record problems suffered by their patients. Health Minister David Lammy announced on Friday that a pilot project would be set up at the NHS Direct call centre in Beckenham, which covers South East London. If the pilot proves successful, the scheme will be rolled out to all 22 NHS Direct call centres in England.

patients can quickly access advice and report reactions that can help to improve our knowledge of the safe use of medicines David Lammy

Mr Lammy said: “Rather than having to go to a GP, patients can quickly access advice and report reactions that can help to improve our knowledge of the safe use of medicines.” At present, adverse drug reactions are reported to the Committee on the Safety of Medicines (CSM) by health professionals under what is known as the Yellow Card scheme. The CSM is an independent committee of experts that advises government on the safety, quality and effectiveness of medicines.
