This is an interesting Homemade Fan fighting game based on MUGEN. Card Saga Wars puts all the famous video games characters into a fighting video game for fans to play. So far the trailers shown looks good with the sprite based character drawings. CLOUD vs Link is a favorite so far. There were more characters planned but were scaled back. Its a nice fan-service game but I have my own doubts and reservations about it since there is no demo available yet.

Production I.G is making an anime based off the Tales of Vesperia PS3 game coming out in Japan. The anime seems to be a prequal before the game recounting the stories of Yuri and Flynn as Knights. If only there was a confirmation of a US release I can finally sell off the 360 game and enjoy the extras coming in the PS3 version.

I finally hunkered down to buy this game after a long wait. Having been following the anime series and love it. I like how things are going between Alicia and Welkin in the anime. The game lives up to expectations gameplay wise and the graphics are so adorable and lovable that it makes want to cry and keep on falling in love with the game world and characters.

The music is also excellent providing moments of rest and peace as well as heightened tension. It is not the usual kind of music you will hear in video games as the orchestration is very different. The composer is none other than Hitoshi Sakamoto.

I highly recommend this game as it will make your heart melt and feel comfort even though its a game of an alternate WWII setting. Really love Maria Inoue’s voicing Alicia as a Tsudere character.

Was browsing kirainet.com site and came across this post about 8 Bit music record that is a tribute to TM Network. The voices are all by Hatsune Miku (A Yamaha voice synthesizer). The songs are made by K->, Tanikugu y Kyonomori, and there is also a bonus track by Saitone.

Team ICO’s Project Trico is now “The Last Guardian”. The trailer is the same as the beta footage that was leaked but with more spiced up graphics on the PS3.

Quite the surprise from SQUARE-ENIX after last year FINAL FANTASY XIII Bombshell this time they give the PS3 a lot more love with this new MMO coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 console and pc named FINAL FANTASY XIV.

This is a really good opening cinematic to the Star Wars MMO game that is being developed by Bioware.

Quite hilarious that Kojima is making a game for the 360, all were hoping that snake was making an appearance but instead they get raiden. the XBOX boss was surprised when Kojima corrected him on mentioning Solid Snake.

According to Joystiq the game is headed for the PS3 and PC as well.

Final Fantasy XIII was demoed at the MS press conference running on the xbox360 build. So far Lighting and the Afro dude sounds cool. A summon of Odin was shown at the end, but I know I am going to play this on a PS3 instead.

Looks like this revision of the game is set to make me want to play with Ryu, Rachael and Ayane on the PS3 again. 1UP has a nice interview with producer, Yousuke Hayashi here.

Qruton (Numblast in the West) Looks like an interesting numbers puzzle game from the PlayStation Japan Studios. The offcial japanese sites seems to be updated with a nice little manga.

The goal of Qruton is to clear numbered blocks by rotating numbered blocks to make a 2 x 2 square of 1s, 2s, 3s or 4s. Squares with the same number act as starting points for chain combos. When the blocks count up you can match different blocks and potentially clear the board as shown in this video.

Looks like this is an early beta footage of the upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive from Team ICO (Helmed by Game Designer Fumito Ueda) makers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. It seems like an extension of SOTC and ICO where Characters and Giants interact with each other except its for them to work together to solve puzzles.

Microsoft Japan has started a flyer ad campaing with cute anime charater XBOX360 Tan promoting the benefits of the xbox360 console over the PLAYSTATION 3. With all of the titles in the catalog published or coming to the PS3 how can it be better?

The cover of the propaganda reads “Xbox 360 over PlayStation 3 if you are picking multi-platform games”. The issue basically lists a bunch of multiplatform games for the console which are supposed to be superior than the PlayStation 3 version. Some of them I’ve played and they seem fine on both systems to me, however, the guys at Microsoft advertising may have wanted to think about including Tales of Vesperia as a “superior” multiplatform game considering a PlayStation 3 version was announced with more content.

I like my XBOX 360 and PS3 but poiting out Multi-platform games better on the system seems rather weak now that Vesperia is coming for the PS3. But Upskirts might be the only way to entice the gamer crowd there.

Both Brands have their equal share of games, but each system stands out with the XBOX 360 with niche Visual Novel and Shooting games ports and PLAYSTATION 3 for dabbling with new genres like echochrome and Flower.

Have you watched the latest FINAL FANTASY VII Advent Childeren Complete Blu-Ray? If you have you will know that Kyosuke Himuro has recorded a new song for the re-released movie titled “Safe and Sound”. What is surprising to me is it is in english unlike his previous song CALLING on the DVD version. If you like meshing of JRock with FINAL FANTASY this is it. The song does have a international appeal outside Japan thanks to this movie.

The game demo and Japanese BD movie is still available on Play-Asia with the Black Cloud PS3 Bundle. Don’t worry the movie has an english Dub if you don’t understand Japanese.
