I love MozBackup to backup and restore Firefox, but FavBackup can backup almost all major browsers.

With this backup tool you can backup the 5 major web browsers : Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Opera. FavBackup creates backup files which can be restored again using the same software. FavBackup is a freeware and portable tool which works only with Windows.

You can also try my favorite MozBackup which works fine with Mozilla products. It has ability to backup browser add-ons for Firefox and different Firefox profiles.

Add RSS Feeds To Your Gmail Signature

Want to add a random link from your favorite blog or RSS feeds to your outgoing Gmail mails?

You can add a link to a random article of any RSS feeds as signature in Gmail. For this, you need to enable a labs feature. Go to Settings > Labs. Now, Enable the Random Signature.

After saving changes go to Settings > General and scroll down to Signature option. Now, check the option : “Append a random signature from feed:”, provide the feed URL and save the changes.

Use Your Mobile Number To Reset Your Google Account Password

Google recently added a new feature to reset your Google account password – now you can reset your password by SMS.

To add your mobile number to your Google account, visit Manage Account page, now click on the link for Change password recovery options :

On the next page you can see option to add your mobile number and country :

Add your number here. Now, the next time you forget your password you can recover it by SMS. Whenever, you forget your password simply head to password recovery page. (or click on “I cannot access my account” link below the sign-in box) Enter your user name or email address here – Google will sms you password reset code instantly!

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is invited to Twitter headquarters.

Mallika uses twitter actively and her twitter account is a verified twitter account. I guess she is the only Indian celebrity using twitter so eagerly and owning a verified profile.

Mallika Sherawat started her bollywood journey with bold films and became sex symbol in the Indian film industry. But, later bollywood recognized her talent and now people accept her acting skills. She is also known for the movie The Myth with Jackie Chan.

Mallika is the first Indian invited to Twitter HQ in San Francisco, California. According to her twitter updates, she is very excited about her visit. She will be visiting there on 14th July.

Blinkx – Video Search Engine

Blinkx is a wonderful search engine for videos.

Blinkx cliams to have an index of more than 35 hours of video. It is very simple to use – just visit the Blinkx homepage, enter your keyword and site will display videos matching to your query. Blinkx automatically starts playing the top video result on the left panel while other result are listed on the right panel with short description and source links. You can simply drag any result to left player to play.

Users can create personal video playlists, or build a customized Video Wall for their blog or other social profiles like Facebook, MySpace etc. It offers RSS feeds for search queries.

Blinkx searches videos on YouTube, Hulu, Blip and other video sharing sites with top news networks like CNN.

Endless Tweets – A Perfect Greasemonkey Script For Twitter Web Interface

I really love greasemonkey scripts and prefer them over add-ons. The reason is quite obvious – they can be handled easily.

Though, I have installed many AIR apps for twitter but the native web interface of twitter has its own glory and ease of use. That’s the reason I appreciate Troy’s greasemonkey script for twitter, but recently I discovered a new and much featured script – Endless Tweets and found it better than troy’s script.

Here are some advanced features of this script :

Automatically loads the next page as you scroll down. Hence, you don’t need to click on “more” to view older updates.
Automatically refreshes the page to show recent updates.
When on home, it remembers the last tweet that you’ve read and loads next pages until you reach it, after which loading stops.

.Clicking on “in reply to..” fetches the referenced update and shows inline. In troy’s script is was not on demand.

Install this script and enjoy using the web interface of twitter. Of course, it is not as featured as troy’s script still you will prefer it for its simplicity.

Social Follow – Excellent Button For Social Profiles

To create a follow me button simply register at Social Follow and move to create button section. Here, you need to provide links to your social profiles like Twitter, Friendfeed, Facebook, Flickr, Google Profile, Digg, LinkedIn etc. You can choose the button design from available 8 options. Want to create your own Twitter client?
If you have a self hosted WordPress blog, you can post updates to twitter directly from your blog’s dashboard and this time twitter will show your own client, unlike “web” or “tweetdeck”.

And, for this you need to install a plugin and register your blog at twitter. Let’s see the entire process :

Install Tweetable plugin for wordpress. Activate it.
Go to setting page of plugin – you will be asked to register your blog as a twitter client first.
Follow the installation process and enter the details of your registration.
After successful setup of plugin, you can find a widget on dashboard of your blog.
Use this widget to post tweets.
