Thom who has served in the NC General Assembly since 2006 said that he was proud to be working with his colleagues both Democrat and Republican to find solutions to propel North Carolina forward.  Keeping North Carolina’s fiscal budget on sound footing and creating a business climate that would attract new businesses is one of Thom’s top priorities.  After a question from the audience Thom commented on the importance of addressing the $2.7 billion federal unemployment insurance debt.  The speaker said that the 2011 long session was very productive and was very optimistic about the 2012 short session.  The 2012 short session convenes February 16th.

ABA members and friends get together for a fun day of drives, putts, mulligans and slices. And it is all for a great cause. We raise money for the Olympic Community Schools and everyone always has great time!

The Arrowood Business Association made a surprise visit to Olympic High School. Our President, Charles Wilkerson, of Steele Creek Printing & Design and Vice President Kim McDonald brought the holiday cheer dressed as Santa’s helpers. They presented donation checks to grant winners.

Everyone involved with the ABA should proud as our total commitment to the Olympic Community of Schools for 2011 has exceeded $15,000!

This event is one of our premier events of the year and is not to be missed. Wilson of Fox News Rising was on hand to make sure everyone had a good time:
