But Zelimir chose a career in Mechanical Engineering rather than follow in his father's footsteps. Interest in painting reappeared in 1998. His first drawings were done by ink & pen on paper. Later, he specialized landscape painting. He is best known for his genre painting of rural and urban landscapes, which he paints in realistic style. He exhibited his works at several shows and exhibitions in York Region, Ontario, Canada and won Honorable Mentions in 2006 and 2008. In 2009, “Aurora – Yonge St. 1940” painting was a Winner in Preserve Aurora category at 2009 Art Aurora Show held by Town of Aurora. The Town has purchased the painting for its collection. Zelimir is a member of Society of York Region Artists (SOYRA) and participates enthusiastically in their activities.

Colors, forms, textures of trees, flowers, shrubs and landscapes in their natural state have always been the inspiration for me to express the beauty of life.

My paintings is the creation of opposites in a variety of rhythms and textures.

I combine different materials in order to overcome the challenge of achieving harmony and unity in my work. Some of my paintings are highly textured and have imbedded objects.

I explore this fine line of ambiguity between pure abstraction and implied realism through the process of layering color and organic texture. My objective is to evoke a sensation or memory in the viewer, of a place remembered or imagined, without literal reference to landscape.

Like an artist she likes to work with very different kinds of media.
Some of her favorites are watersoluble oil, pastels, oil pastel, egg tempera and modern sculpting compounds.
Some of her favorite subjects are landscapes, animal portraits, illustrations and miniatures.
In her art work Tatiana pays a lot of attention to very small details, vivid colors and light. She describes her own style as modern realism with tint of romantic mystery.

My work centers around the integrity of a subject. I want to tell the truth about what is in front of me. The portraits I paint are a direct reflection of the character, the soul of the sitter. I try to empathize for what is in front of me. I choose oil paint because I love the history involved with this medium. Art history is a major interest in my life. From Caravaggio to John Singer Sargent, I feel the history of oil painting is bigger than I could ever be but leaves me constantly striving to become a part of. I Graduated Florida State University in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art/Graphic Design.

of grids of varying colors. When done the background will loosely look the
intended composition, From there I concentrate on adding detail to segments
of the painting. This method allows me the most expression because
different parts are all done at different times. Patience and time allows
my paintings to reflect my varying emotions and moods and in a strange way
create a sense of balance and harmony in what are sometimes very detailed
and confusing compositions.

I am a retired Bank executive.I love watercolour and oil painting. I have traveled quite a bit in India and abroad and have painted from Nature.

I was interested in painting from my school days and was encouraged by

Late Shri. K.C.S Panicker, the then principal of Govt. Arts college,

Chennai.I took some drawing and painting classes at the College.

After retiring from the Bank, I took up my childhood hobby seriously.I

underwent training from a reputed senior artist,Late Shri.M.S

Chandrasekhar, some years back. With his blessings, I had exhibited my

work at Centaur Hotel in Bombay, which was appreciated by many. Some of

my paintings were sold at the exhibition. Not exhibited my work

thereafter, due to the heavy expenses involved.

I have uploaded some of my recent work on my website; would be adding

"IFD has posted the picture of the feeling among a known person, talked, loved, to the barren canvas that gave birth to a relationship with us. This ratio almost dark but seductive, arises from the interplay of poetic thoughts moved to their small worlds-room occupied by a single being: The Women. Element sweet and pleasant, but also complex for any person, a superior on the merits or homogeneous landscape appears almost imperceptible. Usually have only one companion, and himself, as a cat, cherry, glass, table, city and atmosphere, is intended to tell us Ivan mudamente through your palette blue or green to violet, pink, red or passion is the soul of every party staff often does not bring excitement, but sadly, a thought, a shock, a memory and a simple table captures a mimesis with the reality of the small world of its four walls.

"Like all poetry has its soul in the whole of verses that describe an image stuck on the dream of the poet, the quick strokes of the artist and fortuitous landing the urban hierarchy harebrained us on the streets, with the harshness of the treatment of the city towards us, a nostalgia that we almost drowns in a glass of water and remember feeling lost. That loss probably reflected in the darkening of the atmosphere in his paintings, worthy of a poet from bar to bar, which swarm in the thoughts and rebels in the most nostalgic. Thus we come to understand that while FD chapters tells of his days floating lost, his works are set before us as painless subtle marks of wounds, wounds that lovely time and let us make a female character the cover. This femininity, which is sometimes smiling queen, is also a slave's naked body with rags and clothes that cover the skin so anxious to be free. We are not to blame for our passions, and these efforts to move us to do, full of flowing our emotional, our pain and our enjoyment. In these paintings we see the flow of that energy Lugubrious of that vitality which noctambulant timidly at first appeared in an abstract language and has opted, as secure in the figurative expressionism as Polanco said the first individual to Ivan this flow that ensures a vision and made paint.

"IFD is an accomplished artist with an almost polychromy patented substances that language every artist tries to honor female characters before the eyes of a prisoner of the shape and color. However, texture results in a partial disposition of the body toward outsourcing dialogue that comes to us and we will gradually be strengthened in shades full of intent and provocation that will eventually result in constant motivation for this artist. Thus we come to appreciate with some confidence the hidden scenes that we have kept secret and now, Ivan, shows for us. "

I was born in Bern, Switzerland, where I studied and developed my skills in many forms of art. In 1982 I moved to North Vancouver, Canada, where I have been teaching art to children of all ages through community based and private workshops. I am an accomplished author and illustrator of five children's books in French which are presently used in French Immersion Schools across Canada. I am involved in a group of 5 artists, who paint and exhibit together, critique each other's work, challenge and support each other on our journey as artists.

Artist statement:

Every day I stumble upon the hidden beauty of ordinary, often unnoticed and disregarded subjects. I get caught up in the unexpected wonder of its form, shape and colour. My aim is to grab hold of the intense feeling this provokes in me and capture it on canvas. Using acrylics and mixed media allows me to approach the subject with great creativity. I love bright colors, texture and detail in my paintings. Ultimately I seek harmony between "strength and fragility" and "vibrancy and serenity". When I feel the same awareness of wonder stirring in me as when I first came upon the hidden beauty - I know the painting is done and art is created.
