Fergus is happy to announce that he has a new little brother, Shamus Bing Bielovitz. They already love each other and play until they are both tired out and need a good nappie time!

Fergus is happy to announce that he has a new little brother, Shamus Bing Bielovitz. They already love each other and play until they are both tired out and need a good nappie time!

Shamus is a busy little guy who is happily discovering all the portions of the house that he is allowed to traverse…

He actually likes his crate and in the daytime we bring it out into the main stream so he can access it whenever he wants. (And so Mom can confine him for his rest times…and hers!) At night, it is in the corner of our bedroom where he sleeps soundly all through the night until 5:45am with no “accidents” in his bedding or crate!

Today for the first time, he was allowed in Mom’s office where he discovered a nice doggie bed which Fergus never uses but Maggie did on occasion. As you can see, he likes it and as I write this, is taking a nap in it so he can be close to the Momma!

His favorite spot though is his “fort” on the shelf under the coffee table where he can hide and jump out at Fergie and play with toys or just hang out for a nice nap with his tummy against the shiny cool wood. He also watches TV from there!

He eats 3 times a day and like most pups, he looks forward to his meals and dines with a “robust” appetite! We must keep Fergie’s food up high unless we are watching Shamus carefully. He thinks all bowls are for his use. So we are working on the housebreaking although at this age (13 weeks) it is us who are being trained to take him out on time. So far we are batting 50/50…ha ha! Shamus has had lots of face book time and he’s quite the “celeb” with friends and family already. In fact, he’s had quite a few visitors who just couldn’t wait to meet him. So there may not be much time for painting and creating for a while but I am okay with that and I am just grateful to see Fergus happy again and to give a forever home to our little rescue sweetheart!!

When I retired a couple years ago, a friend gave me this beautiful Orchid plant as a retirement gift. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving! It goes dormant every now and then for months at a time but when it blooms, it makes the wait worthwhile!! =) Thank you, Judy!

Spring has finally made her appearance here in N.E. Pa. and we are soooo happy to have the yard and gardens at Edgewood looking pretty again. The hard work of spring clean-up has paid off in spades!.It is time to sit on the patio or porch and savor a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the fruits of our labors!

Show Opening

Well, tonight is the opening for a show that I am participating in with two of my best pals. We hung the show on Wednesday and we were so happy with how it looks. We are 3 very diverse artists so it’s fun to see our work juxtaposed against each others! Madge creates beautiful ethereal watercolor paintings and has really stretched herself into new territories for this show, Jude does gorgeous batik and water color paintings that are both loose and strong at the same time somehow and my “style” (if I have one) is a fun and unexpected quirkiness that usually just comes out of my imagination! You wouldn’t think these three styles would look so good hanging together but somehow it just works. We’re excited for the opening reception to see the reaction of our visitors.

Well, the worst of the nasty weather is over and spring has arrived in my yard. My daffodils are multiplying nicely and the grass is greening up. Let’s all get outside and enjoy the wonders of nature unfolding like the petals of a tower….
