Murugan temple is half a kilometer from karmana junction.near to karamana high school.First we will enter to ganapathy temple and then there is an entrance to murugan temple.We can see two peacocks and a peahen outside this temple.we can offer them avil,rice which we get from the nearby shops.This temple is in the banks of the karamana river.

The place is 4 kms from Thiruppathore a small town in vellore district.There is a very big banyan tree which has hundreds of Ariel roots .People will do pooja in this roots also.The speciality in this temple is that the circumference of the tree will be about 50-60 meters. Karpaga Vinayagar koil is one of the oldest temples of Tamilnadu and situated at Pillayarpatti, which is between Pudukkottai and Karaikkudi. We had gone to this temple once.At that time we statyed at Thiruppattur a small town in vellore district.And in the evening we went to pillayarpatti.

Karpaka Vinayakar or Desi Vinayaka Pillaiyar is the presiding deity here, and he is portrayed with two arms and a trunk curled towards his right in the valampuri mode.This 6 feet tall mammoth image of Ganesha is a bas relief in an excavated cave, off of a hill in the precincts of the temple.

Unlike other places the three Lingams Thiruveesar, Marudheesar and Senchadeswarar and the three Goddess Sivagami amman, Vadamalar Mangaiamman and Soundara Nayaga amman all appear together at the same place and bless the devotees.It is believed that by worshipping Kathyayini amman at this temple women get relived from sevvai dosham which prevent them from getting married. "Sabda Madhar" whom importance due to changing time are provided with a seperate sannidhi known as Sakthi sannidhi at this temple.

The Thiyagaraja(Thiruvarur Periya Kovil) temple at Thiruvarur is one of the ancient heritage sites of India.

The actual history of Thiruvarur Periya Kovil (Thiyarajar Temple) goes back more than 30th Century BC. The chola kings just renovated the Thiyarajar temple and built few extra shrines inside the temples. The known foremost devotee Tirunavukkarasar on 7th Century CE itself has said in his pasurams that the real existence of this cultural heritage is unknown and the temple is in existence for many centuries.

The annual chariot festival is celebrated in the month of Chitrai (April/May). Every year after the chariot festival, the Theppam festival is celebrated. The temple Kumbabishekam is performed every twelve years, most recently in 2001.

In this temple there is an excellent and unique musical instrument called "Panchamuga Vadyam" with five faces. Each face is ornamented; one with a snake, another with lotus and another one is plain without decorations. One has a Swastik sign. Over each face leather is spread and over the central one Deerskin is spread. It is said that Nanchi Devi played on this instrument when Lord Shiva danced.

The Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala could well be the richest in the country as unofficial estimates Saturday, the sixth day of preparing an inventory of treasures in its six chambers, suggested the value of its gold, diamond and other precious metals at close to Rs 1 lakh crore.

The inventory of the temple here, maintained by the erstwhile royal family of Travancore, is being made by a seven-member Supreme Court-appointed panel.

The stock-taking process was ordered by the Supreme Court following a petition by advocate T.P. Sundararajan over mismanagement of the temple affairs.

Hanuman Temple,Alathiyoor,Malappuram

This temple is just 14 kms from Tirur Railway station.Tirur is about 370 kms from Trivandrum and 50 kms from Calicut.he temple is popularly known as "Perumthrikkovil" in the Malappuram district. The temple was maintained by Alathiyur Grama Namboodiri. Afterwards it was taken over by Vettath Raja. Then after the management of the temple was taken over by Zamorin Raja of Kozhikode. After formation of Kerala Government Devaswam Board the management of the temple is with the Devaswam Board. It is believed that the installation of the Lord Hanuman's idol in this temple was performed non other than Sage Vasishta himself.

The temple is built in the "Kerala Ammbalam" architecture. Here in the main sanctum Lord Sree Rama is seen with a peculiar expression on his face and is seen without his concert Mata Sita by his side. Sree Rama seen here is after Ravana's extortion of Mata Sita. The idol of Lord Sree Rama is seen as he was giving the message to Sree Hanuman about Sree Sita before Sree Hanuman embarked on the mission of locating mata Sita. Such a peculiar expression is vividly seen on the face of Sree Rama’s vigraha of this kshetra.

The temple of Sree Hanuman is adjacent to the main temple of Sree Rama. In the main sanctum Lord Hanuman is seen standing leaning forward to hear his master’s words with a club in His hand. He is facing south and it is very rare or one could say nowhere lese you could see a South facing Hanuman.

The main offering to Lord Hanuman in this temple is "Pothi Avil" and is famous. The "Prasadam" of "Pothi Avil" is made of hundred coconuts, hundred measures of Rice flake (Avil), twenty-eight kilos of jaggery, 12 kilos of country sugar, 750 grams of dry ginger, 800 grams of Jeera. All these ingredients are mixed to make "Pothi Avil".

Last week we went to Sri kalahasti temple in Andra pradesh.This temple is famous for the rahu-ketu pooja .We reached renigunda by train and after that we have to travel abt 45 mins in bus to sri kalahasti.We booked a ticket of Rs 600 for doing rahu-ketu pooja .The pooja will be held once in every half-an hour.After this pooja we have to go and take darshanam in the temple.It was a really nice trip....

This is an Ayyappa temple which is recently re-constructed . There are many poojas especially for sani dosham like sesame vilakku.. This temple is situated in malappuram district in kerala.
To be precise malappuram-->manjeri-->nilambur-->chungathara-->edakkara route-..stop near kalasala junction ..At that junction there is a small road thru which we have to drive abt 1.5 kms. Its pretty good if you visit during the vrishchika (October-November) Month with proper vritas.The route from manjeri to nilambur and upto this temple is splendid in sight seeing especially the river
in the place called Edavanna(which is in between manjeri and nilambur). Both sides of the road with full greenary and all...just amazing...
We can see the snow cladded mountains.. people who visiting kerala or India should definetely choose this location as one of their sites.Pictures of this cute place will be uploaded soon.
